Chicken Bowl! So much flavor and plenty of meat!
    Valentyn R.

Nearby my work, we have several food trucks on a weekly rotation. Sometimes they don't even show up, so it's pretty inconsistent. That's why I usually prefer to bring my own lunch, because I know my lunch is going to fill me up until the end of the work day. However, days when Ninja Bowl is the food truck that comes to our office complex, it turns into a whole company event. Everyone always looks forward to Ninja Bowl, and I always look for them at food truck festivals. Their bowls are delicious and very filling. You may feel like you could eat a second bowl after consuming it so fast because it's addicting, until you realize a long nap is what you really need from being so full. The people that run Ninja Bowl are the friendliest and most nicest people. The lady that takes our orders always has a smile on and recognizes the regulars. She's always willing to give suggestions. One of my favorite food trucks ever and I always rave about it to everyone else.

Another good Columbus food truck. It has some of the best Asian food in the city. The food is not extremely expensively. It's healthier than those hot dog carts. The truck seems to be downtown mostly. I like the Tofu Bowl. It's about $7 for a pretty big portion. The tofu is cooked without it being dried out, and the rest was not all just rice. All items come with a spice rating, with 1 being the mildest. The sauces I've tasted are all good, but you can't go wrong with the classic sriracha. Finding this food truck is hard sometimes, but not always. It's usually somewhere in the downtown area. When a festival is going on it's a good chance it's there.

I just finished the chicken bowl and I'm tempted to go back and get another one. It was incredibly delicious! I kept saying "wow" with each bite because it tasted so good! It was the perfect amount of sauce because once you mixed it together, every ingredient was lightly coated. The chicken was tender, but also had some crunchy bits that gave a nice variety of texture. The rice and vegetables were soft and cooked just right. We were the first ones in line and waited maybe 5 minutes to get our food. 10/10!!

OMG amazing chicken bowl thank you so much for coming out in the cold today at Fiserv

You would think there was a Ninja working in the back of this food truck because this place is sneaky good. With most food trucks it's hard to get your moneys worth, but this place, I think you can trust. The Lady working the register was very helpful if you had any questions. Really, the only thing you have to ask about is the spice level (if you don't ask it comes not spicy). You've got medium, hot, and extra hot which was referred to as "crazy hot" says the lady working the register. I confirmed with a buddy of mine (Connor) that extra spicy is manageable if you get it. I trust him. I got the Chicken Bowl, which comes with white rice, veggies, and teriyaki sauce. Also, I order a side of potstickers. Everything was great and hit the spot. I'll fo sho get that again. Check out my pictures for the rest of menu and special offers. Thanks Ninja Bowl!

For my birthday, I was happy to try this place out since this location was close to home. Columbus is slowly becoming the place for all things foodie and geeky and I love that for us! This place is located on the 1280 W 5th Street and Northwest Blvd. There is parking in the front, and the restaurant is small and cozy. The seating is for parties of 4 to 5 but arrangements can be made so talk to a server. The menu offered everything from drinks, small place to ramen and I wanted to try more. We got the salt and pepper shrimp, the Kyushu Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), Hot tea and Takoyaki for a group of 5. Everything was piping hot and delicious and lightly seasoned to bring out the flavors of the overall dish. The servers were sweet and extremely helpful for explaining what things were and me, being a ramen nerd, could sit back and relax. I got the Kyushu Black Garlic Tonkotsu. It was so GOOD!! I love the taste of black garlic and the umami in the dish was so pleasant. The noodles were chewy, and the pork slices were so tender. The Tendernism! IYKYK. 5 stars for a great birthday meal that did not break the bank. Well, my friend covered my bill. :)

It is definitely on the pricier side, but the quality matches the price. The fish tastes fresh, the presentation is thoughtful, and everything feels carefully prepared. It is the kind of sushi place where you can tell they care about the details, from the ingredients to the overall dining experience. The staff are also super nice and welcoming, which makes the meal even better. They create a comfortable atmosphere while still making the experience feel elevated. For me, Yoshi's is definitely more of a celebration or special occasion type of place, but it is absolutely worth it when you want high-quality sushi and a more authentic Japanese dining experience. I would definitely come back.

We spent $230 (w/ tip) and it was worth every penny. Probably the best Japanese restaurant in the city. We passed by this place multiple times on our way elsewhere. We're Mario fans, so the name Yoshi caught our eye, but the cramped strip mall exterior doesn't exactly scream culinary dream. We decided to take a chance, and let me just say--wow. It's an intimate space with just a few tables and an 8-10 seat sushi bar. We didn't have reservations (make one, they fill up fast) but managed to snag seats at the bar. The service immediately stood out. We had better attention here than at some upscale steakhouses--glasses never went empty, and their menu suggestions were spot on. One minor heads-up: at the sushi bar, staff sometimes walk behind you to talk to the chefs, which can be a bit distracting. For starters, we grabbed the gyoza and asked for a standout small plate. They pointed us to the beef tongue. It arrived hot with shredded onions and spicy mustard, delivering a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness with a deep, beefy richness. The gyoza was equally flawless. Instead of the overly chewy or burnt wrappers you find at most spots, these had a delicate, golden-brown sear with an intensely savory, garlicky umami filling. We paired this with Sayuri sake, a creamy, unfiltered pour that perfectly balanced sweetness with a dry, clean finish. Since we love nigiri, we ordered a spread: tuna, salmon, smoked salmon, sweet shrimp, and Japanese scallop, plus a salmon/avocado roll. The cuts were impeccably sourced and practically dissolved on the tongue. You rarely find this level of consistency. Just a heads up--they prepare it the traditional way, meaning there is a dab of wasabi tucked directly under the fish. We also tried the Wagyu A-5 roll. It's about as "meat and potatoes" as a roll can get: steak, carrots, asparagus, and rice. The seared Wagyu fat melted instantly, creating a decadent, buttery glaze over the crisp vegetables. It's one of those rare foods that genuinely forces you to pause after each bite. At $40, it was 100% worth it. I can't say enough about this experience. Next time, we're leveling up to the fatty tuna and Wagyu experience on their special menu. That's the exact culinary peak we've been looking for, and incredibly, it's tucked inside a suburban strip mall. Absolutely brilliant.

The food comes out pretty quick considering they are making the sushi by order. I love their sushi options. Midway through my meal, they came around to light a candle at the table, which added such an intimate touch, and gave cozy date night energy in the best way. In fact, I believe I was sitting next to a couple having their first date. 2. Plating (4.5/5) The presentation did not disappoint. Everything came out looking polished and thoughtfully arranged. The edamame stood out because they generous with the flaky salt, which I personally loved. Sometimes places hold back, but this was well seasoned. 3. Customer Service (2.5/5) This is where things started to fall apart a bit. I stood at the front for about 12 minutes before being acknowledged, and the restaurant was nearly empty. I had to make eye contact with someone in the kitchen just to be seated. Service at the table wasn't much better. It took about 15 minutes just to get my drink order taken (which I had to flag the waitress down to order), and by that time I was ready to order my whole meal. I ordered an appetizer along with a couple of sushi rolls and some sake. I'm not sure if the waitress wasn't thinking about it, but she brought my rolls out before she even brought out my appetizer or my drink. The inconsistency was noticeable and took away from the experience. 4. Overall Taste (4.5/5) The food absolutely carried! I ordered a sweet potato roll and the Hoonie Roll, which ended up being my favorite part of the meal. Both were fresh, flavorful, and really well-balanced. Paired with the edamame and sake, everything came together nicely. 5. Overall Experience (3.9/5 ) Taking everything into account, the experience lands just under a 4. The food and atmosphere were strong, but the service created a noticeable disconnect. It's definitely one of those places where you'd go back for the food, but you'd hope the service catches up next time.
