I love that we have this place close to home, best pizza in Murphy, Wylie and Sachse. Great place to go for a nice dinner with my wife, good ambiance, friendly staff and I love the food. Service is always on point, keeping the drinks flowing. I called them tonight on Halloween on fairly short notice and they whipped up 6 pizzas for me like it was nothing. Local Italian restaurant - the interior is very homey and the service here is nice! We came here around 8:30 PM on a Friday night, so we might have caught them at an off time, but the food just did not amaze me. The pizzas were fine. Just a little bland. First timer... never to return! It's a quaint little place, and we looked forward to dinner. The server had zero personality and really appeared to not want to be there. The food was not spectacular, as a matter of fact, it tasted like hospital food or previously frozen... thawed and served! We had lasagna and spaghetti & meatballs. There is nothing memorable about either of the dishes. However, the salad with house dressing was delicious, as was the bread... not worth returning for. It took forever to get our meal, once our meal was delivered, no one ever checked on us (The staff were all on their phones - see picture). So when we were ready to go, we had to wave down someone and get their attention to ask for our check. A man came over to ask if everything was OK ... I shrugged my shoulders and then said, "are you the manager" he said "yes," we told him our concerns and then told him we probably wouldn't be back. He said "OK" and walked away. As we watched him walk away, he went behind the bar and begin talking to another server, and I immediately knew that he shared our conversation because that server immediately turned her head to look over at us! #HighschoolBehavior. We came in for an early dinner and we were the first table sat. The waiter greeted us and we chose a booth. The tv at the bar was loud, so loud I could barely hear my daughter talk. Our food came out before the bread they typically serve. When the bread did come out it was hot and greasy but tasteless. The spaghetti works was great. My daughter enjoyed the cheese ravioli. Two people sat at the bar and our waiter lost track of us. I had to wait up at the register to remind him I needed our check. He didn't offer us dessert and I didn't want to wait any longer. For being the only table there, it was a very long dining experience. I wish the tv had been off and just the music playing. But that's just me. read more

On the hunt for better pizza and still haven't found it. I'm learning that Lisanti food service gives everyone in this area ingredients and so the pizza is all the same crust and bland toppings. The restaurant was empty on a Friday night. I ended up paying $21 for a large pizza. The chicken Alfredo portion was so disappointing--a half filled tin, although the amount of chicken was reasonable. My husband literally thought I had eaten half on the way home haha. He called the owner who was more than understanding about the issue. The best thing was the garlic rolls that came with my pasta. I think I ordered the stromboli some months back and it was actually good--so I wanted to try it again, but now I've decided this place maybe isn't for me. The interior is cute. read more

I've ordered takeout pizza a few times from here. The service is good and i really enjoy their pizza. The ambiance is pretty laid back.

Overall experience was a big: MEH. The food was great, don't get me wrong. What is lacking at Niki's is the service. We waited almost an hour for our food, and the restaurant was not jam packed. The only reason I am giving this place four stars instead of five is the prices. One adult and two children $37 seems a bit unreasonable (we ordered a adult meal $13 something and two meals off the kids menu....no drinks, appetizers, salads, desserts...etc.) The food was delivered fast, hot and the gentleman was friendly. No silverware or napkins were included so if you are needing these I would ask. I am adding pictures of the food but keep in mind we asked for extra sauce which they did put....thanks! The chicken dinner with asparagus and angel hair pasta was good, no complaints. The kids Alfredo was also delicious. The lasagna was really good, the sauce was a little sweeter than I like but still really good. I wouldn't say the portions are large enough to share unless you are getting a app or salad as well, the portion was generous. read more

Zero stars. Total disappointment. I'm certain those that have left stellar reviews are limited in authentic palate. The "stuffed" portobello mushrooms were the size of a quarter. And I do not say this lightly, but I am convinced there was absolutely no crab or shrimp within said quarter sized stuffed portobello mushroom. When I tell you it was just like the ones that you can buy from Walmart, the four cheese ones, that's what it was, but smothered in some god-awful raw garlic sauce. It literally tasted like they had spooned out raw minced garlic from the jar and sprinkled it in some kind of cream based sauce and poured it over Walmart stuffed mushrooms. It was not palatable. It tasted like a mistake. And let's talk about chicken marsala. For those who don't know, chicken marsala sauce is made from marsala wine, chicken stock and cream, it shouldn't be red. It's not a tomato-based sauce. So it was a bad sign when it came out and the damn thing was red. It was tomato-based. It was not the beautiful nutty, sweet-savory light sauce that I was expecting it to be, as it should be, instead it was a heavy thick red sauce. And it was disgusting. The noodles tasted literally pre-cooked and just reheated and served. Swollen. Mushy. Was not fresh. Nothing about it was fresh. I am so disappointed and had waited some time to go and have this experience after reading the reviews and thought wow we have an authentic place here. We don't. And if I have to get up and walk to the drink service area to ask for a refill of a beverage, you have a problem with service. Sorry Murphy TX, if you think this is good Italian food, you don't know good. And all the prices are more than what is stated on their website...significantly more. Paid $40 for one person. Unfortunately not the best experience. I don't know if we caught them at a down time but can in for dinner around 5pm on a weekday. Rolls were stale and had clearly been sitting for a while. Pizza was average at best. Tortellini with pink sauce was actually very solid. The restaurant workers were eating in the dining room while we were dining which was a little weird as the waitress would have to stop eating if we wanted a drink refill etc which felt awkward. I will probably give this place another shot as I think it can be really good. Nikis is like home to me. They are so curious every time I come to eat I get to sit wherever I please and immediately receive fresh rolls. The rolls are my FAVORITE PART. I normally order chicken aristocrat and stuffed mushrooms with a greek salad. I HIGHLY RECCOMEND. they always set me up with their house red blend so I can never complain.
