I was looking up some pizza places to satisfy my cravings and saw this place has good reviews! Prices are slightly cheaper than most typical fast food pizza chains (i.e. Papa John's, Dominos etc). Quality is pretty similar to your average takeout pizza. Crust has a good chew to it, generous amount of toppings, and solid flavor. The manager on duty guaranteed "the best calzone I will ever have." Wrong! The calzones that I am accustomed actually have cheese and not stuffed with unwanted salami. Who ordered the extra salami?? The hollow folded puff and over baked dough was heartbreaking. Also, their medium "meat lovers" (cardboard) pizza lacked the meats in a meat lovers pizza. If you're going to substitute the pepperoni and sausage due to your religious beliefs, you are required to let the customer know that they will not be getting what they ordered and paid for. This is about as classic takeout pizza as it gets. The interior is inherently catered towards pick up and deliveries, all the classic toppings are there (including halal options for an extra charge) and they've got the family business thing going for them as well. Talking about family business, the two brothers who run the day to day are supremely nice people and very open about their story and options. Your best bet if you're unsure of what to get is to stop in and talk to them, because I'm sure they'll have a recommendation for you. As I said, this is classic takeout pizza. The crust is reliable moreso than memorable, and the toppings are cooked well and seasoned right. There's nothing here that's going to blow your head off, especially with their admittedly higher prices, but if you were looking for a solid option, this is it. With any pizza place, it's a gamble on whether they survive the first year or not, and that really comes down to whether customers come back. I'm not a bread person so pizza isn't all that for me but I keep forgetting that when I get pizza from here. First off, they have gluten free crust which is really easy and flexible to order, not hidden in the footnotes or basic like some places. They also have the option of ordering cauliflower crust. Second, everything is halal, so pile on the pepperoni and bacon. Third, it comes fresh and gooey - even with extra cheese, it's perfectly melted so you don't choke on it. Fourth, it's not puddled in oil. So no heartburn. Fifth, I'm not a huge fan of certain herbs in marinara sauce but they manage to bring flavor without being overpowering. Tip: size up. Followed by the akawi pie. Looks simple at first glance but don't let the looks fool you. The flavor of the cheese is an explosion of deliciousness. Not your basic cheese either. The owner highly recommended the Mexican pizza which is extremely out of my comfort zone. But I accepted. Oh my...i had no idea this was even a thing. The flavorful ground beef sitting on a bed of beans and topped with corn, jalapeño, and onion. Most definitely my new favorite. And the best thing of all, they're open everyday until 3am!
