I came on this tour being a bit skeptical, nonetheless mystified. We started out at Mavericks distillery, our tour guide met us in the upstairs bar area. Then was led down to a seating area to start the tour. After we were given an outline of the tour we were led down to the downstairs area. I had brought my emf reader along, and while I was in the downstairs area with the barrels, I got a strong emf reading. I am one to try to debunk unless I absolutely can't, so I kind of wrote it off. We went to the other 2 bars, and thoroughly enjoyed every one. At the end of the tour, we thanked our tour guide and tipped him. I ended up asking for a picture with him since I enjoyed the tour. We were staying at the crocket, so we were on a total ghost excursion, so needless to say I really wanted to see some activity. They did tell me to check photos, when I got home, so doing just that I never thought I would catch something. I will leave pictures and let you form your own opinion. Any Great Ghost tour no matter the city or location hinges 20% on a great story and 80% on a Great Story Teller. A Great Story Teller will make anything and everything sound interesting and enchanting. On our particular tour we were fortunate to have Misael as our Story Teller. He was wonderful with details and drew us into the stories with intrigue and a little bone-chilling curiosity. A cocktail at each stop (And fantastic locations with great drinks I should add) only adds to the "willingness" to let your mind wonder into each story! We all had a wonderful time and got to see parts of San Antonio and back of house locations we would have never had such an opportunity to do without Misael as our guide. This is a must do for us going forward in San Antonio! read more

Allie was our host and super dramatic and animated with her ghost stories she told us! This made our ghost walk both fun and spooky! We only got to go to 3 of the 4 bars because one of the bars on the Riverwalk was closed & the ghost tour company wasn't aware, thus the minus of 1 star on my rating. The bars we did go to were cool & great. The hotels historic & beautiful! A downpour erupted on the riverwalk & Allie quickly got us to cover and continued her spooky stories for us. We had a good group of people and my friend & I stayed awhile at Bar 414 (The meeting & ending location for the tour) when tour was done to have more beers and listen to the band that was playing. Both of us took pics of 4 beers we drank, my pic is fine, my bff who is very "in-tune" to ghosts/spirits had different results in her pics! Clearly something there at Bar 414 causing interference! read more

Went on a Saturday night with co-workers and we all had a fun time. The bar we meet at didn't have the drinks we asked for but they had enough of a variety for each of us to get something. Our tour guide Ally was entertaining and very accommodating she did an amazing job and kept everyone on track as we jumped from bar to bar to venue. Another Nightly Spirits Ghost Tour/Pub Crawl. So glad this tour company came to San Antonio, TX. What a great place rich in ghostly history. Our tour guide Ally made the tour come alive or raise the dead so to speak. This walking tour included two famous Hotels- Bar 414 in the Sheraton & the St Anthony's. Of course we were able to stroll the Riverwalk sipping on our spirits while looking for spirits!! Pleasantly surprised with the St Anthony drink specials!! This is unique way to start your historical research into the tales behind the San Antonio ghosts, hotels & area bar scenes. We had a group of 12, including one person who is handicapped and uses an electric scooter. There were an additional 6 people that were on the tour that were not part of our group. Our tour guide, whom no one in our party recalled gave his name, acknowledged the person in our group that was handicapped then proceeded to start the tour by saying "now we'll go downstairs to the basement and walk through the museum." He didn't say how the handicapped person should get downstairs, as the public elevator doesn't go down there. The HP (handicapped person) had to ask the front desk staff how to get down there. The staff asked if the HP was a guest of the hotel, she said no, she was on the tour. The staff then escorted her down a back hallway to a ataff elevator to access the downstairs museum. By the time the HP and her husband got down stairs the group was ready to go back upstairs. The group went outside where the tour guide said they would be going to a bar across the street then down to the Riverwalk. When asked how the HP could get down to the Riverwalk he said he didn't know. The HP and her husband were able to go into a hotel and take an elevator down to the Riverwalk. The group all met up and proceeded down the Riverwalk. After a couple of stops for stories (and a mile of walking) the Tour Guide said they would be going back up to the roadway. Again he said he didn't know where the HP could gain access to the road. The only option for the HP was to go all the way back to the starting point. The HP's husband and another friend carried the HP's electric scooter up 2 flights of stairs so they could continue with the tour with the group. When the HP, her husband and thw friend accessed the roadway the group was no where in sight. They had continued on. The rest of the HP's party kept asking the Tour Guide to stop to wait, but he continued on. Only by text did the HP, her husband, and friend find out where the rest of the group had gone. By this time our group had had enough! We ended the tour. The Tour Guide didn't have much in the way of ghost stories relating to the actual venues, nor was he responsive to the needs of some physically challenged. We spent $318, but definitely didn't get much value for that money!! read more

Of course we were late but we ran into Katie along the way another tour guide with Nightly spirits. She was absolutely amazing. She saved us being late and let us tour with her saving us from missing anything. She was so high spirited and enthusiastic! NEVER A DULL MOMENT . She told the story's in a very interesting way! This tour was so cool. Lesley shared a lot of history of the Alamo and surrounding downtown area. It was like an awesome history lesson where you could have a few adult beverages. Even through it rained during our tour, Lesley kept us out of the rain. She's definitely the best! read more

I've been on a lot of ghost tours (NYC, New Orleans, London, Chicago, Dublin, etc...etc...) and they're typically a toss up. That being said, I went into this tour objectively and was pleasantly impressed. Ally was a great guide and made it all very fun! The people in pur group were a lot of fun as well. This was our favorite part of our trip to San Antonio. Leslie gave the best tour. She was not only hilariously witty, but very knowledgeable and kept the tour interesting and upbeat. While our tour guide was very nice, the tour itself lacked any real substance. Stopping outside of locations to talk about local murders and ancient legends with only two or so mentions of actual hauntings (and none near where we actually were allowed to go) made this 98% pub crawl and 2% ghost tour. The pubs themselves were also only so-so. If the tour has to rely so heavily on the bars, they really should be interesting ones that highlight the area, not just average hotel bars or run-of-the-mill gimmicky ones that allow to-go beverages. While it was nice to walk around in San Antonio with a guide, I feel like I could have gone alone and Googled a more ghoulish time. read more

Really disappointed in the San Antonio tour we took on Saturday, 9/7/19. The locations we were taken too were really boring and the stories they told were partially made up. The tour guide was so soft spoken it was extremely hard to hear anything he was saying at times, and the tour guide didn't bother to wait for people in our group. He would start talking about the location and when a majority of the group was still catching up. Some of the stories the guide was speaking about had nothing to do with San Antonio or its ghosts. I read reviews about the tour heading to places like the Crockett and the Menger Hotels, some of the most haunted locations in San Antonio itself, but this never happened. We are taken to the Gunther Hotel, then a tree along the River Walk and the final location, we didn't even make it. Our group, 12 people in total, broke off from the tour because it was so bad. This tour was not worth the $25.00 everyone paid for it. The pubs we were taken too were more of clubs with techno music blaring making it difficult to talk to each other. I had really high hopes for this tour after reading some of the reviews, but, unfortunately, they really missed the mark. I would not suggest anyone take the San Antonio tour. Bad stories, bad tour guide, crappy locations. STAY AWAY! read more
