Late review (but better late than never). We went to Spotlight for my best friend's birthday in 2021 and had a blast! The venue was excellent, the drinks were great, and the vibe was nice for a private party. We had so much fun and the hostess was super sweet. We will definitely be back.

Patiently waiting to view a private room, to host a birthday party
    Tina J.

From start to finish, Charlie the owner of Spotlight was a pleasure to work with. He and his staff made the process of reserving my private room, visiting the location, and having my birthday party a pleasure. The website gives you an accurate view of the rooms you are reserving, the deposit and contract was easy to complete over the phone and through email. My daughter and I viewed the room, 2 days before my party to see how we would like to set up. I started with Room 1, then changed to Room 2, due to an increase in guest. Thank God, Room 2 was available, Charlie and staff (wonderful lady in the office) allowed change, 3 days before my party. I had never did Karoke before and was truly looking forward to the laughter it was going to bring. Word of advice, practice before you go! Well honestly don't think it would matter, you don't sound the same as you do in the shower. We arrived a little early to get a feeling of the process. DJ had to keep coming to fix our mess ups until my young adult niece arrived and took control. Thank you DJ, he was patient, very helpful, and knew exactly how to solve our problems all 15,000 times. Just joking, wasn't 15,000 times but it was alot. We were reserved our own waitress, and she was very attentive to our needs. Due to the amount of my guest, or shall I say the room, I had a $400 drink minimum to meet in order to receive my $200 deposit back. Well, guess what...there are a bunch of drinkers in my life apparently, because I was only $4 short of that limit. Yep, I paid $12 for my party, July 13-14. $6 for my H2O, $4 for drink minimum, and $2 for her gratuity. Party paid for itself, and we all had a absolute wonderful time. If you are looking for a place to do Karaoke, give SPOTLIGHT a try. Charlie, is and was the best, I could have asked for! The only downside to the entire process is it is located in Midtown and we all know parking is not the best downtown, and the fact that Spotlight charges a $10 parking fee, without valet parking. Happy Karaoke to you, we had a ball!

Well run karaoke with a huge song list to choose from. Screens are elevated so singers aren't looking at the floors. Cover charge required.

Ask the Community - Nightingale Karaoke

I'd like to book a room in December for 8-12 can we bring food? Is there a BYOB option?

I would like to come here for my birthday, do they have rooms that fit 30-45 people? Also how much does it cost per hour?

Yes. They have room 3. It fits up to 45 people. I believe it's a $450.00 drink minimum plus gratuity. There is no fee per hour. Just drink it up and you'll meet it.

The ambiance was great for the holiday they had themed drinks and specials going on, which added a fun touch and made it feel festive without being chaotic. Definitely a solid spot if you're looking for somewhere social but still comfortable. The drinks were good, and overall the vibe was on point. It felt like a place you could hang out for a while, whether you're there to celebrate something or just have a few drinks with friends. One thing to note is they don't serve food, I did hear they rotate food trucks at times, but none were there when we went which was a bit of a downside, but they did allow us to bring in outside food, which honestly made up for it and gave us more options. Parking wasn't too bad when we went, and since it wasn't super packed, everything felt smooth and easy. Overall, great vibes, good drinks, and a fun place. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for a casual hangout or social night out.

You are drawn, the way one is drawn to a place that promises honesty with a wink. It wears the posture of a dive but carries itself with intention, a little bohem, a little defiant, and entirely comfortable in its own skin. The bar hums with craft. Cocktails arrive balanced and deliberate, built by hands that understand restraint as much as flair. Nothing shouts. Nothing apologizes. Each glass feels considered, as though the bartender paused just long enough to ask what kind of night you were hoping to have, then answered without speaking. The staff moves easily, quick with wit and generous with attention, treating regulars and first-timers as if both had already earned their place. The decor tells its own quiet rebellion. Mismatched, layered, worn just enough to feel lived in, it carries the sense that stories have been told here and will be told again. And then there are the bathrooms, unisex and unashamed, their walls papered with vintage Playboy centerfolds that celebrate the female form not as spectacle but as art. Tasteful, sexy, unapologetic. A reminder that admiration can exist without crudeness, that beauty does not need permission to be acknowledged. The Two Headed Dog is less a bar than a posture toward the world. It resists neat categories. Not quite dive, not quite cocktail lounge, not quite anything else that could be reduced to a label. It is a place for those who appreciate craft without pretension, sensuality without excess, and atmosphere without artifice. In a city that thrives on reinvention, this bar stands firm, confident enough to be exactly what it is and nothing more.

Considering the recent shutter of other places (#2) within the hospitality umbrella, it's not too big of a surprise that Wooster's would also be in the crosshairs. The space was always a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating, which combined with its dedicated parking lot made this an easy drinking outlet for all kinds of occasions. The intimate indoor space was lovely and well ventilated, and it felt like there wasn't ever a moment where the bar wasn't slammed. The outdoor space was much of the same, with lots of tables and chairs, and even the trendy swing chairs facing the city. The only thing that was a little bit of a liability were those open flame heaters; it would only take on person to accidentally walk into one or trip onto it. For libations, the drinks were well priced, well made, and always potent. I appreciated the aesthetics, as well as the bartenders who made them. The only part that wasn't exciting was the limited food menu, which did its part as munchies for the drink heavy crowd, but was mediocre otherwise. The space is already undergoing the new facelift of a separate concept, one of which I hope will do the area justice, just as much as Wooster's did. ____________ (#1) The Kirby Group. (#2) R.I.P. We came during happy hour and it was such a great deal. I ordered the Sweet Like Peach Tree, which was light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with the peach and ginger. My husband got the Frozen Paloma and it was just as good, super smooth with the right citrus bite. We also shared the churros and they were honestly a must order. Warm, crispy, and paired with Nutella and caramel. What really made the experience stand out though was our bartender, Manny. He was incredibly welcoming from the moment we sat down, had such a great personality, and made the whole experience feel personal. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that kind of service is hard to find.
