This place is beautiful. Same owners as The Layfayette. The food was pretty good. Fresh and flavorful. I will return because of the atmosphere

We came to check out the hype on this place & loved the ambiance! Very art deco! We ordered a couple of Jungle Birds & loved them! Even got the other people around us interested in what we were drinking. We didn't try the food since we had just eaten somewhere else but from what we seen it looked pretty good. I would recommend you stop & have a drink !.

Only came here for drinks at the bar. No wait on a Saturday afternoon. Service & ambience were stellar. Jungle Bird drink was strong & delicious. We'll be back for dinner one day when in the area.

Sooo delicious and such a pretty interior. Service was friendly and food came out in a timely manner. Really good for brunch but there wasn't that "it" factor to make it 5 stars. Keep in mind parking can be a hassle but they do offer valet. There eggs in purgatory were really good and this is also coming from someone who doesn't even like tomatoes, but that dish had me clean the whole skillet/plate. Their farro salad was refreshing and surprisingly very filling.

Though I did not have food or drink here, the staff were friendly and let me know patrons can seat themselves at the bar if there are open spaces. The space is unique with Greek elements, outdoors, and has plenty of stone, fire and water features around.

What's better than breakfast? Brunch! It's definitely worth the drive to see this beautiful place for our friend's belated birthday celebration. The place was beautifully decorated and the vibe was fantastic. It felt like a resort! The customer service was superb! Our waitress was very attentive. She knew about our special celebration and made the birthday girl an espresso martini just for her ..plus she served all of us complimentary champagne to toast. As for the brunch food, it was okay overall. I especially enjoyed the bagel and lox which we could share among four friends. I had a great experience even though the food was not that spectacular. One of our girlfriends mentioned that the dinner menu tastes better there. We'll definitely make a reservation for dinner in the future and give it a try.

The place itself is gorgeous. Beautifully decorated, very unique, and a vibrant environment with little details that really sell the experience. Totally worth it for the vibes and maybe the drinks. The food was not as bad as I was anticipating but definitely not somewhere I'd return because of its food. Cauliflower: Good, nothing too special. Vague flavor but nice breading and the sauce is nice. Calamari: Not the best. More breading than calamari. The lamb rack was the best dish, very enjoyable. The dessert was alright. Looked better than it tasted.

Great Experience! We valeted our car ($18) which worked out great because we had a candlelight concert at the Del after. The atmosphere is so cool with water features and fire to accent the greenery and sculptures. We were greeted warmly by the hosts and then waited briefly to be sat. There was a significant wait before our server came to our table once seated and same for a water. We both ordered specialty cocktails (which were delicious) and then ordered tzatziki sauce, pita, warm olives, and popcorn cauliflower. For meals we had the lamb meatball spaghetti and shrimp skewers, soooooo good. Unfortunately we were not offered dessert (celebrating my husband's birthday) or after dinner drinks which we would've ordered. Overall great experience though!

Finally got to try one of CH's newest projects -- it's been all over social media -- and it's exactly what you'd expect from them: maximalist, eccentric, packed with photo ops, and fully committed to the vibe. We went on a Thursday around 6, and it wasn't too busy, though I can only imagine how packed it gets on weekends. Parking was rough, so we opted for valet at $18. We sat at the first outdoor bar area, which was fairly empty, but it still took quite a while to get menus or have a server stop by. I was excited to try their wine, but learned their full wine selection is actually at the other bar -- you can still order it, but it definitely slows things down. Drinks were fun and on‑brand with catchy names, but pricey and slow to arrive. After finishing our first round, we moved to the larger circular bar area. Much more energy, lots to look at, and definitely the more "wow" section of the space. We didn't order food, but saw a few dishes come out -- nothing really caught my eye enough to return for it. We tried to check out the speakeasy, but the waitlist was over two hours, so we skipped it. Overall: great for a one‑time experience if you're looking for something unique, vibey, and social‑media‑forward. Service was slow, prices were high, and I'm not sure I'd come back -- but it's definitely a fun stop if you're chasing a TikTok‑style bar moment.

Was originally looking for chill things to do in SD with my family and came across this on TikTok. I was intrigued by the space and also wanted something healthy for my dad. This ended up being the perfect place for us! By the beach, yummy mediterranean food, great service, and the exact vibe and atmosphere we were looking for. I felt pretty proud of myself when all my sisters and dad mentioned how much they liked the vibe and food! Highly recommend and shout out our server Bryant who was such a sweet heart!!

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately I left pretty disappointed. The interior is beautiful and definitely the main reason I wanted to check it out, but the overall experience didn't live up to it. The food was very average and nothing really stood out. What bothered me most was finding actual dirt still attached to the greens served with the scallops. That's definitely not something you expect to see on your plate. The service was also very slow. Even though we had a reservation, we waited around 15 minutes to be seated, and then waited quite a while again before anyone came to our table. It felt like they were either understaffed or simply overwhelmed by how busy it was. The space itself is gorgeous, so I could see coming here for a drink at the bar and enjoying the atmosphere. But based on the food and service we experienced, I wouldn't choose it for dinner again. UPDATE -- Second Visit: We came back for a second visit, and this time the experience was significantly better. We tried the Grand Souvlaki Platter and the Lobster Squid Ink Linguine. I especially enjoyed the beef -- it was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite part of the platter. The chicken and shrimp were good too. The linguine was also very good and had plenty of flavor. The pita was the one thing I wasn't particularly impressed with. Personally, I think a different type of pita would complement the platter much better. Service was also much better this time. We arrived slightly before our reservation and were seated immediately. Everything came out quickly, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. I'm happy we decided to give the restaurant another chance.

Let's start with the good. First, out sever Lauren. She brought the energy, vibes and customer service. She was an entire vibe! The esthetic is fantastic. The waterfalls, foliage, seating... it's a beautiful restaurant. The drinks menu was also very creative, and my wife's run cocktail was delicious. Now on to the not so great... It started with our arrival. We arrived at 9:57 for our 10am reservation. My wife approached the hostess stand, said hello, and mentioned she was there for a 10am reservation. The hostess rudely told her they weren't open yet. First, there's no need to be rude. Second, why are you opening at 10 if your first reservation is at 10??? Next is the menu. I understand it's a Greek restaurant, and it seems like they're trying to keep the theme, but it doesn't work well for a brunch menu. I wasn't impressed with my breakfast options. Also, my wife and her sister are celiac, and there weren't any options beyond a salad for them to eat. They ended up ordering avocado toast and a breakfast sandwich without the bread. It was pretty sad. My brother in law and wife got their breakfast sandwiches in a normal amount of time. Neither looked particularly impressive. I received my hot cake about 25 minutes later. I would have canceled it, but my sister in law was also waiting on her food, so I did not. She received the simplest plate they'll make all day (manager's words) 15 minutes after I got my food, yes, 40 minutes after the first plates arrived. I know they just opened, so hopefully these are opening pains. We'll go back for drinks. Maybe we'll give them a few months to figure it all out and try dinner. Unless they completely revamp the menu, we won't be returning for brunch.

4 stars. Come for the ambiance, stay for the pretty solid food. Nighthawk has a gorgeous, almost White Lotus-like setting that makes it an easy pick for date night. We ordered the: - Spinach bread: warm, savory, and delicious (basically a really good spinach pizza) - Spaghetti and lamb meatballs: rich and flavorful, though the portion runs a little small - Sumac & herb half chicken: juicy, well-cooked, and packed with flavor We also tried a couple of cocktails. They were good, but nothing particularly memorable. Service was friendly, and while prices lean a little high, they feel pretty reasonable for the setting. The ambiance definitely outshines the food, but the food is still good enough to make the whole experience worthwhile. I'd happily come back!

Just a yelper taking in the vibe.

What is the noise level here? We really like to talk at dinner, and lately it seems like the noise level has increased significantly.

Because the venue is all outside, it's a mixed answer. It's loud with the music playing and people meandering around, but with the greenery and the fires blaring, it seems to dull some of this background noise. I loved the atmosphere, it was very…

Located at the fairy landing, Spiro's is in a busy-ish part of Coronado. Parking is plentiful, but I can't remember off the top of my head if you have to pay for parking or not. But if you do it's not that bad. The restaurant itself is clean and offers outdoor and indoor seating with amazing views of Downtown on the other side of the Bay. Their patio is dog friendly! Plenty of seating and pretty clean. I have no issues with service. You order at the counter before you sit but last time we were there, the cashier is nice and friendly. I'm not sure if he was the owner or not but he was doing great making convo with us. Bonus they take military discount. Also, I see them constantly bussing tables and making sure everything is clean. Long story short, staff is doing their job the right way. Food is yummy and portions are good! I think they're pretty generous on their amount of meat that they give. The gyro fries are great to share! (I mean you can eat them on your own lol). The portion is pretty big! I like that their lamb isn't gamey. Their pita is always fresh. I don't feel guilty eating their food after! I've been here numerous times and I know I'm bound to go back again. It's one of the spots that has stuck at the fairy landing for years! Unfortunately, the food fell so far short of expectations that the beautiful view ended up being the only real highlight. I ordered the Spiro's Signature Beef Platter, and nearly every component was a letdown. The beef was so tough and chewy that it was practically inedible, refusing to break down no matter how much I chewed. The Greek salad came with a sweet dressing that, in my opinion, completely missed the mark. I've never had a Greek salad dressed this way, and after this experience, I hope I don't again. The pita bread was stale, leaving the French fries as the unexpected star of the entire plate--which says just about everything you need to know. A scenic view can certainly enhance a dining experience, but it cannot compensate for poorly prepared food, disappointing ingredients, and prices that don't reflect the quality being served. Ultimately, this was a lot of anticipation for very little payoff. The view may be worth admiring, but based on the food alone, I wouldn't return or recommend this restaurant to others. There are plenty of places with great views; the food should give people a reason to come back, too.

It took about 10 minutes for them to assemble my meal, but my veggies were cooked fresh on the stove, which was really nice. They tasted very freshly cooked just as they would as if I had cooked them myself at home. I was there about 1245 on a Monday and there were a few people there and they had some takeout orders so my order took about 10 minutes before I could walk out the door with it. They had a nice condiment bar where you could pick out some yogurt with dill sauce and then they're famous garlic yogurt sauce, as well as a jalapeño sauce And another spicy hot one that I would never try. When I got back to the jury room to eat my meal, I saw that there was a nice quantity of the fresh salad and the grilled vegetables but the meat was piled high! The employees were working efficiently and the place was spotless and orderly.
