This is, undoubtedly, the best used car business in Western Mass, if not New England. This past August I helped my young adult kid buy a car. I ended up at Nicky D's after disappointing experiences at other dealers. Their integrity and professionalism is refreshing. The quality of the used cars is high. I ended up buying a 2013 CRV in under an hour. They still had to perform their all points check over before they'd let it go to us, so it took a few days. When less than 30 days later it made a weird sound, they took it in and fixed it and offered to deliver it to my kid's residence. A similar noise started a few weeks ago, but my kid is too busy working to bring it in. We called today and brought it in. After they test drove it, they determined it needed a new engine and that they would replace the engine at no charge, extending their 30 day warranty as a dealer. They said, "You shouldn't have to pay for that level of repair so soon after buying that car from us!" Who does that? Every single interaction I've had with different people there has been positive and encouraging. If you're looking for a great vehicle, integrity and top notch service, go to Nicky D's. We had a great experience buying a car from them. The sales staff weren't pushy- they let us try out as many cars as we needed to, and they didn't insist on riding along to give us a sales pitch on test drives. They seemed to care about getting us into not just any car, or a higher-priced car, but one that we would be happy with. We ended up with a car that's better than what we were shopping for, and at a good price! Nicky D's was also absolutely fine accepting payment from our lender- a credit union that we have a good relationship with. Larger dealers in the area wouldn't even look at it, trying instead to pressure us into financing with them at a higher rate, and saying that accepting payment from our credit union was "too much paperwork." We were floored at that response-- money is money, and if a dealer is afraid of paperwork, what the heck are "doc fees" for? Oh, wait a minute, that's something else Nicky D's doesn't have: DOC FEES. I would just like to pass on too anyone looking for a great affordable pre-owned car, I really did not know where to start, so a friend had said they had purchased a car from Nicky Ds a couple of years ago, still has it and had no issues with the car still to this day, an was very happy with the staff, from soup to nuts. So I called the dealer ship an got Nick D himself, we talked breifly an told me he did not have what I was looking for but took my phone number, low an behold not two days went by an I got a call from Nick saying come by an check out what just arrived. It was just what I was looking for, an in my price range, his wife Betty took care of all the paper work, and walked me though everything you need to do to get it on the road with no problems. I found out today I needed a new car. Went to bertera in Westfield and left crying. They were terrible. They were condescending and belittled me. I test drove a vehicle, the salesman accompanied-which I hate. They then tried to sell me the car for $4,000 more than KBB. They don't matter because then I went to Nicky D's, which I knew I should've done in the first place. I wasn't there more than 20 minutes and I bought a car. The perfect car!!! I told the salesman what I was looking for, he showed me the best options to fit my needs. He gave me his opinion, pros and cons and was really on my side. I am a careful shopper and I have been looking on line and around town for a Toyota Prius and could not find one with the miles I wanted or at a price that I could afford. I was following their website and found the car that I really wanted and with their help, I am the proud owner of a 2008 Prius with only 45k miles! I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. From the start Brian was very helpful without being at all pushy. He listened carefully to my questions and concerns about what I needed in a car. Once I had made a decision, Nicky D's took care of all of the paperwork as well as the inspection. A week into driving I discovered a problem with one of the visors--I knew there would be no problem getting satisfaction, and there wasn't. Within 24 hours a new part had arrived to fix the visor. The owner (Nick) is a lunatic with a short fuse and it doesn't take much to set him off. He was incredibly rude to my wife - raising his voice at her when she said the value of our car was higher than the quote he generated. Completely unprofessional. Needless to say, we did not go with Nicky D's. Nick Duprey is not fit to work with people. Reviews on google reflect more of the experience I had. I took my Honda Civic to Nicky D's to ask the body repair people to fix a broken and hanging bumper in the simplest, least expensive way possible. They took my car in right away and fixed the problem within 20 minutes, and did not charge me anything, even though I did not purchase the car there.
