I've used multiple tailors throughout LA (including expensive ones in Beverly Hills) and the South Bay, and Azam is by far the best - not even close. He's done everything for me from a simple Jean hem to refitting multiple of my custom made suits. He does everything to the highest caliber, he'll be honest about what you can and cannot do with a garment, and he always always gets the work done in a timely manner. He is also very fairly priced, especially for the quality of work. Hands down the best! I highly recommend. read more

A fee months ago I brought a pair of pants in - was done perfectly- just as I requested. I am late in posting this review.

Nick's Tailor is the best place! The owner is very friendly and pays attention to detail, as well as works in a timely fashion! I highly recommend and will definitely be coming back for anything I need tailored! read more

This place is amazing. My bridesmaid dress was done in a timely manner and tailored perfectly!

Nick is an Artist a pro, the guy you want repairing or altering your clothing. I brought 2 $2500 costumes to him that I wear for work and he did a better job than anyone in the South Bay and for a better price. read more

Azam is probably the best tailor around. His work is perfection. I have been going there for years. Exquisite work without a doubt. i highly recommend him. read more

AMAZING Tailor, super friendly, great attention to detail, their work is phenomenal! I highly recommend!

If I could give more stars I would because this place is great! The shop is in a great location although it can be a bit busy on that street so be mindful of that. The owner is also very sweet and personable which was a big plus. His pricing though.. WOW. When I was in the military I had to take my uniforms to the tailors often and it wasn't cheap. One other time in San Antonio I took a dress to get a hole sewn up and i paid $15 for just that. I took that same dress to this store (the fabric is so fragile and guess what.. i got another hole on it in a new spot on vacation so now I'll be bringing it back HAHA) and a sheer lace top that i wore to a festival that had at least 4 areas needing to be sewn. Y'all.. it was only $20!!!!! When it was time to pick up my items i was running around like crazy all day because i was leaving to Vegas that next day. By the time i realized i forgot to pick them up it was after 6pm. I thought I'd be fine though because Google said they close at 7pm (liars -_-). Well I showed up close to 7 and they were definitely closed lol but thankfully the owner still let me pick up my stuff. He did such a great job on them too! I will definitely be coming here from here on out. read more

I brought in 3 pairs of jeans to be taken in and a skirt that needed a new extra-wide elastic waistband. First, the jeans - wow! 2/3 pairs now fit like a glove, and you'd never know they'd been altered at all. The third pair fit a bit strangely, BUT, he told me when I dropped them off that, because of how they were cut, he didn't think the tailoring would work, and I opted to go ahead anyway. So, the jeans don't fit right, but he knew it, and he told me, and he was right all along! As for the skirt, he said he didn't know where to source an elastic that wide, but instead of replacing it, he was able to salvage the elastic that was in there already, and now the skirt is totally wearable again. All the clothes were done by the date promised, and I really couldn't be happier. 3 pairs of jeans plus a silk skirt - all like new - for $165. A pretty good deal, overall. And he was very kind, quick and thoughtful as well. I'll definitely be back and will recommend him to anyone. read more

I have been coming to Nick's Tailor for a while to get basic alterations done, so I knew once I began looking for help with my wedding gown that I could trust Azam, the owner of Nick's. I got a custom wedding gown made, and first needed assistance with taking my measurements. I walked into Azam's shop with an intimidating list of measurements needed by the gown maker, and he breezed through it easily while giving me his thoughts on places we may want to leave space for alterations. Once my custom gown arrived, it still needed slight alterations done - tightening the straps, adding padding to make the chest even, and taking in fabric at the waist, hips, and flair. The fabric I had was NOT easy to work with. It was a beaded lace with appliqué, and Azam took the challenge in stride, m and he was able to give me a dress that fit amazingly well. I should have listened to him when he told me not to bustle the dress (I ended up putting buttons and loops in, but not bustling it all the entire night!), and I loved the experience so much that I've sent friends to see him to also get their wedding gowns altered. Azam was one of the vendors who I enjoyed working with the most during my wedding because of his quality of work, style of communication, and extremely fair price. I highly recommend Azam and Nick's Tailor for your needs! read more

The reviews appear quality but unfortunately I experienced a negative encounter with a gentlemen. From the moment I walked in and expressed what I wanted done he didn't appear too friendly and I felt rushed. I didn't feel welcome & he seemed annoyed at what I wanted done. I simply wanted to taper my pants. read more

The first time I met Azam, I desperately entered his place to get a very last minute alteration. My daughter's hockey team just made nationals and she needed her jersey fixed and patches sewn on. He did it for me!!!! (We got 3rd in USA) So of course I went back for my clothes to be tailored, and I have never gone anywhere since. I actually have since moved from Manhattan Beach, but still make the drive to Azam. He makes me look better! He is very honest and a true craftsman. read more

Received a recommendation for Nick's Tailor probably over 20 years ago and have never gone anywhere else. Azam is an excellent tailor who takes great pride in his work. He is also a pleasure to do business with. Thank you, Azam, for providing such great service for so many years! read more

Azim did a nice job altering my blazer and now it fits like a glove. He has also done alterations for my father who has been pleased with his work as well. Yes, he is not the most talkative person but he's professional and does good work. This is a solid 4.5 star review as they don't take credit or debit cards, just check or cash. Also, they never called me to let me know my jacket was ready. But I'm feeling nice today, so 5 stars it is. read more

I've been going to Nicks for over 8 years and have been having my pants shortened when they're not from the petite section of the department store. Ya know, for us petite gals (i'm 5'3"), we hate being limited to the selection in the petite section. He does all his work with a smile. I just walk in, put on my pants in his on-site changing room, he does his measurements, I leave there, pick it up after a few days or a week, and viola!!! Perfect pants coming right up!! He makes adjustments to what you think you'll be using the pants for... like, only heels, heels/flats, or just flats, or sneakers. just 5 star service. About 4 years ago, I had a fabulous, super expensive jean/denim/with the cool shiny stuff $400 from Rock & Republic, that I wanted to have tailored to fit me perfect! I got a jacket back from him that was exactly that. Perfect! (for me, at least). Sleeves perfect, back perfect, waist perfect. Makes you feel like a movie-star, brad pitt, that always have all their clothes perfectly tailored. Still fits like a charm! Been going to him for many years, and he hasn't let me down and don't think he ever will! lol He's been in Manhattan Beach since....hrmm, forever? Give this man a try! p.s. this is a mom and pop type of tailor shop with a guy who loves his job. so don't expect the 4 seasons, just expect good solid work. read more

Azam does the best job ever! He has taken in several of my pants and they look amazing. He's also shortened a few pairs and no one is as good as he is. Super friendly, very affordable, and everything is ready quickly. I could not recommend this place anymore!!! read more

A went in for a quote on getting my suit altered for my wedding day. I was actually out for a walk to Trader Joe's and just noticed the place. The gentleman working there (I presume the owner) was not friendly at all. Perhaps he didn't like the fact that I looked like I just came from the beach. I ended up going to a place just around the corner. They were very friendly and answered all my questions without making me feel like I was bothering them. FYI, Nicks prices were much higher that other places in the area. read more

Nick's is FANTASTIC! He recently tailored a dress for me, and I honestly can't tell where he took it in, but it is absolutely perfect. It's like he tailored with a magic wand instead of thread. The dress he did for me was a bit of an emergency. I knew I would only have 2 days between the day my dress would arrive and the event, so I called to tell him my predicament a few days ahead of time. He said he normally couldn't do it that fast, but because he had warning he would make it work. (Apparently I got lucky with his workload.) It was a rush, but the final product didn't look rushed. Exactly what you want in a tailor. read more

The best! Extremely, professional! Cannot say enough good words! Nick remains the man!

Nick's Tailor is the only place I go to when it comes to alterations. I've been coming here for several years, after my mom had recommended it, and I've never looked back. The service is genuine and friendly, and always on time. The quality of work is excellent, it's clear that there is close attention paid to detail, my clothes always come back looking exactly the way I left them, matched hems and all...! read more

I get all my pants tailored here. Great service with a fast turnaround. She is willing to meet whatever deadline you have.

Best tailor in Manhattan Beach! I get all my clothes tailored here and he always does an amazing job. Great prices as well.

I've been going to Nick's for more than 10 years. I've taken him my expensive wool suits, delicate silks, party dresses, casual clothes and bedspreads. I take my husband's clothes to him too. He does a fantastic job on everything and I won't go anywhere else. He's very personable and friendly and my clothes are done on time, every time. read more

I needed a shirt repaired before I left on vacation. I didn't realize it was torn until I started packing. I went to two other places and no one could do it same day. I went to Nick's Tailor and he graciously did it same day service for me. This is customer service at its best. Thank you for helping out this busy mama!! read more

I found Nick's Tailor just driving by on the way home from work. My wedding dress was delivered the Tuesday before our wedding about a foot too long and straps that weren't tight. Azam was incredibly helpful! He hemmed all six layers of the dress and took up the straps in time for our wedding on Saturday. Other tailors had told me there was no way they could do it in time, but Azam got it done and it was perfect! read more

Awesome Tailor! I needed to alter my bridesmaids dress for a wedding and was having trouble finding a tailor. I went to several other places that turned me down because I needed it done within a week or that the fabric of the dress was too cheap to do any alterations. Azam not only did the alteration within a few days, he was also incredibly helpful and kind. He is a true professional. I highly recommend him! read more

I've brought shirts, pants and shorts to him for years. Whether repairs or alterations, always great work.

I am a long time customer of Nick's Tailors. If you want the job done right, for a fair price in a welcoming environment, look no further.

What a life saver! I live out of the state but was getting married a few weeks ago in my hometown of Redondo Beach, CA. When I came home a week before the wedding, my dress did not fit! It wasn't too big or too small, but the dress bunched up in places is shouldn't, and it just didn't fit the way it should. In a panic, I brought it to Nick's Tailor where my family has gone for their alterations for years. From the beginning he was so calm and positive and told me he would fix it and not to worry. I came back a few days later to pick it up and it was amazing! It still could have used a few more minor touches but I was happy to wear it how it was. He insisted he would make it perfect and fixed it that night. I pick it up the next morning the day before our wedding and couldn't believe it. It felt like I was trying on my wedding dress for the first time all over again. I couldn't hold back my happy tears! He is absolutely amazing. I thought my dress couldn't be fixed, but sure enough he managed to make it perfect. I would strongly suggest going to Nick's Tailor for any and all alterations! read more

I have gone to Nick's many times for all sorts of tailoring and he is incredible. Has always done good work. I highly recommend for anyone in the South Bay. read more

I usually and probably never leave reviews but Nick did an exceptional job on my jersey. If you know anything about authentic jerseys then you know how expensive they are and that the material is a difficult material to tailor. I'm a thin but tall guy and a medium jersey is to short but the arms on a large flare, nick tailored it absolutely perfect! I'm very picky and particular so believe when I say he's the best in town! read more

I brought Nick a very tough job. A leather jacket with zip cuffs that needed the sleeves shortened about three inches. I suggested some easier ways to do the job, but Nick said he could remove the entire zipper and move it, and the cuff up three inches. He told me to come back in a week. I did and it was ready on time. Perfect job. Fair price. And, he's a nice guy. read more

I'm happy I finally found a place to get my clothes fix! I was scared to try a new place bcuz I have had bad luck the last three places I been to. This place was recommended by a moms group in the South Bay and I'm am very impressed with the work they did on a pair of jeans that I though were no longer fixable. He did a great job, the material used is high quality he was very creative and very good stitching. The price was good to! I will definitely keep coming here really good vibes and good service read more
