Absolutely horrible, have used them for years, never again I was charged 170 dollars for a service charge when no service was provided, we called with an issue and sent a picture when the tech came out he did not have the part, quoted me a ridiculous price to replace a pump which turned out not to be necessary. it is a shame that since june i have been waiting for an answer on my liner problem which was 1 year after completion of the pool and no one is doing anything they send their OWN EMPLOYEES to tell me that the PH caused the problem when the PH was 6.2 only 1 point down then the liner sales person comes out and still no answer what the problem is one pool installer said it was measured wrong another said he never saw that problem in 1 year and still im waiting for an answer im sure you will not post this because it is negative read more

Wish I could give them zero stars because 1 is too generous. Penny, nickeled, and dimed to death from the get go. First major problem with our pool was with the 1000 square feet of concrete decking we had installed. Rust stains began developing throughout all of it. They accepted no responsibility and left me to battle the mason, which was their sub contractor - not mine. Then they installed the wrong anchors for my handrails and ladder. They used cheap galvanized ones that are not recommended for salt pools instead of using bronze anchors. The anchors not only failed very prematurely but also caused the concrete to crack around them. When I brought it to their attention, they said they didn't know at the time that they couldn't use those anchors. Then they told me that they extended the warranty for customers with this problem, but I was out of the extended warranty period. I asked what the extended period was and the employee said she didn't know. I asked how could I be out of warranty when you don't even know what the extended warranty is??? Then she simply said you'll have to take it up with the owner. After the owner did not have the decency to respond to me by phone or email, I decided to file a BBB complaint. After it was done they offered to pay for a portion of the repair. I ended up not even giving them the opportunity. After so many mistakes and poor service, I decided to cut ties. I used Mid State Pool Liners in East Brunswick instead, and they did a phenomenal job. Run away from Nicholas Pools... bottom line. read more

Nicholas pools should be ashamed of themselves. After all the trouble we had getting our pool installed ( miscommunication between the company and their contracts, in correct info of when they would do things, etc), in the first season we had a hole in the liner and had to have the salt cell cleaned!!! They refused to replace the liner even though we were promised that it would be, if there were defects. Now, the second season we identified structural abnormalities and are having trouble with the pressure of the filter. They want to charge a $150 fee just to come look at it!! We haven't even had the pool a year!!!! They hold themselves responsible for nothing once the pool is in place, but they tell you they will always be there to help.. without mentioning the large fee!!! In my last conversation they explained that all the equipment is warrantied and we can go directly through the companies. If that's not dropping the ball I don't know what is. They installed a pool for us and it was a nightmare from start to finish. Well lines were cut, asphalt destroyed in driveway, time frame was no where near what they said it would be. They hound you to have bank checks ready two weeks before there due because they want their money. Forget that you are at their mercy for their promise on the time frame for the install. Never heard from the sales person after the original sale. We had to do the leg work for the permits after waiting for almost 3 months for them to get the correct paperwork to township. The real kicker is when we discovered the wrong equipment was installed on our saltwater system (there was a chlorinator instead of salt cell) and we get screamed at that we had another pool company come in that did this (which is ludicrous.)The pool wasn't completely finished at this point. We never did find out how this happened. The worst experience ever. This company has gone down hill. I'd stay away. read more

I would NOT use this pool company at all the customer service is horrible, They take your money and go back on their word. There are many other companies out there I would use. I could go on with the story but I am just telling people you will not be happy if you run into a problem with them.The installation of the pool liner they don't want to make good for or the cement that they tore up that no one ever gave them permission to do. Even their workers backed us up but they don't care the owners. I also have two other pool companies that stated the work they did had to be redone because it was not done right. Again I have photos to show the pool work product they have done and they are leaving us no other choice but to take them to court because of their faulty work done by their company. I do have the right to write a review about a service that was paid for and not completed . Don't put yourself in our shoes. read more
