It's always nice to find a good nail salon. It seems to always be a trial and error when it comes to locating one that is clean, decently priced, and professional. Also one that is open late on a Saturday night.. which is originally why I had chosen to come here. It doesnt hurt that it's in a small shopping plaza with a grocery store and a Sally's (both of which I had to visit over the weekend anyways, so SCORE! 3 birds with one stone). My nail tech, Angie, was so friendly.. she spoke great english which is a plus, and she kept conversation the entire time. They had a fantastic selection of no chip colors.. which was impressive. The salon itself is very pretty, you wouldnt expect the inside to look as nice as it does from just driving by. Angie did a wonderful job with my nails. Let me start off by saying the two stars are purely for a specific nail technician named Rita. She is literally the only reason I continued to go there. Front desk is an absolute mess. My last visit I had made an appointment a day in advance and when I got there and saw they were busy I didn't mind until I kept seeing people who came in after me being serviced and by this time I was already waiting an hour. I went up to the front desk to ask about how much longer my wait time would be, the lady made it look like she was looking into it but she walked away shortly after and sat back down without saying a word to me. At this point my patience is all gone because I seriously felt disrespected. I don't know if it was due to me looking young although I'm 23 but I had to end up going up to her again and asking her why she didn't give me an answer. She then asks if I'm willing to go with a different nail tech to which I responded no. I made an appointment with her specifically for a reason. By the time I get serviced the nail tech was like " I didn't know you had an appointment" and clearly she seemed in a hurry which I don't blame her for at all bc at this point it was obvious that it was time for her to leave but because I'm a regular she was nice enough to service me. Front desk doesn't take appointments seriously so I don't even know why they allow it in the first place.. yet being a walk in is no better (boy do I have a story about that as well) Honestly, if you decide going here go to Rita and if you can go during the week in the afternoon. Otherwise, good luck... they don't seem to know how to appropriately deal with it being even slightly busy. read more

This is by far the most rudest nail shop I have ever been too. The workers are very ignorant and love to talk about people in their language. Needless to say they are a complete rip off. I got a no chip mani it lasted three days. I came back to show them. They begin talking and laughing in their language. They told me it will be a additional $15 to fix the no chip. I will never come back here. I had a problem here a few months ago, but figured I would give it another try. Nope. Still horrible. I was kept waiting with my fingers soaking in acetone for an hour and a half. Then I received a sloppy manicure that looks awful. The technician was rude and argued with me about the shape of my nails. I was here for over two hours, and I have to go back to my regular place to have them fix what these people did. Horrible. I've been coming here for 2 years all of the nail techs are nice but the manager is racist it seems like I've never had a problem till she cut me on my finger doing my nails with the machine and now every time I come and have an appointment they never take me on time and she tells them not to right away. I came here, because my regular nail place was booked and I needed my nails done asap. I just walked in and didn't have to wait at all, so I was happy about that. There's no prices nowhere in the salon. Lady who did my nails was barely speaking English. I had to explain her three times that I only wanted a pedicure, not full set of no chip. She didn't offer me any color chart, just asked "what color?" and pointed to four bottles of neon colored polishes standing by the chair. She couldn't understand what do I want from her. I felt rushed through all procedure. My feet has been barely touched with pumice and file, cuticles hasn't been removed properly. I definitely won't be back here. I was recently there Thursday morning, and the nail tech, Lucy, was very rude. My nails did not come out as I wanted them to look like, so I asked the manager, Kim, if she can tell her nail tech to fix them, and her solution was to put a clear coat over them. My nails were see through, and there was smear that the tech knew about and didn't bother fixing them. She was rude enough to ask me, "why do you keep putting your nail on my hand?". I l0ve this nail salon! It's close to my dad's house so when it's time for me to get my pedicure done I would always come here. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The interior design inside the salon was very beautiful. My first time here I thought it's a typical looking salon since the look from the outside was nothing special ...Their equipment are modern especially the spa/massage chairs. Came in for a wax. All I can say is "that's what I get for coming into a nail place!" Never again!!! The girl had no idea what the heck she was doing! She kept asking another nail tech how to wax my under arms and lip. I should have jumped up when I saw that. When you wax you NEVER pull up!!! You pull against the direction of the hair growth!!! When she finished waxing me she goes in with her tweezers to get whatever was left. I swear she must have done everything with the tweezers!!! I'm driving home and all I feel are my armpits sticking! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!! This is my First time trying this place. My friend referred me here because she said they do great Pedicures. The one star I am rating is for the HORRIBLE job done on my nails. I requested to have a pedicure and no chip manicure completed. The Pedicure was great and the tech. Was very nice. However, the nail technician LINDA that did my no chip was very rude, very fast, and NOT EFFECTIVE. I requested a color that I have tried at another place, she started to huff and puff, she was extremely upset that she had to look for the color, came back to the chair and started applying a color of her choice!!!! I called all around looking to get my nails done a certain way, which lead me to this salon. I noticed they did eye lash extensions for the low. I had the works done. I was there for hours so I just wanted to leave. My nails were horribly shaped. My eye brows were chopped off. An hour after I left I noticed my lashes were falling off. I came back the following day. They didn't seem happy when I returned complaining. After that the lashes kept falling off and I noticed my real lashes were missing. This was days after I had them done. She told me they would last weeks. I couldn't believe my long healthy lashes were cut off. The following day I showed up in tears. I confronted the owner and she started saying no I need pictures. She grabbed my right arm squeezing me, yelling in her language. I ran literally out the store. I think this store needs to hire new staff and the boss needs to have sympathy for people when her employees can't see and should retire. read more

I always enjoy my visits at Nice Nails II! The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. The shop is always very clean and has a warm atmosphere. They just got new pedicure chairs that are very comfortable as well! I read the reviews and decided to get my nails done for my wedding in June of 2015. Because I had a destination wedding, I got my nails done 2 weeks before my wedding date, but they STILL looked amazing 2 weeks later! The no-chip nail polish lasted an entire 4 weeks, and I was absolutely in love with how clean, professional and polite the staff was at Nice Nails II. I will never go here again. The first time I went for a dip manicure, I was a walk in. The man who did my nails seemed to be in a hurry to get my nails done. My manicure lasted a long time. I figured I'd give them another shot. I went yesterday and Mia did my nails. I have never encountered a ruder person at a Nail Salon. First, she needed me to go to a different station and when I didn't gather my things fast enough, she rudely told me which station to go to again. Addressing the cuticles isn't part of their normal manicure. Mia told me it as a lot of work and it would be $7 more. I said I'd pay for it. That would bring my total to $42. She went on about how other places around charge $40 but they include cuticles. I will be finding one of those other places. I'll end up paying less and will hopefully get much better service. Nobody that worked there were engaged with their customers. They would get up in the middle of a service to pinch others stomachs, talk to them, or get a cigarette from them. read more

I used to come here allllll the time back in the day. The ladies who do nails are okay, but the younger guy with tattoos is god awful. He dremelled my nails down so far that as my nails are growing out it literally goes down a layer. And while he was doing my nails I was in so much pain. And yes they do rush you like crazy, and that's awful. I was just at a nail salon in a different state and they were friendly, talkative, and took their time. This place is far from that. I wanted a unique look for my nails, I've been coming to Nice Nails for years and Kim the owner is a magician. I had seen a look I wanted to duplicate a few months prior to my wedding and forgot to take a picture but Kim had taken care of the client. Fast forward to a couple of days prior to my wedding I went in asking Kim to duplicate the look she did for a client several months back. Well after staring at me for a few seconds she didn't bat an eye after a few remembered details she was able to duplicate the look. The next day my family came over to help me put together party favors and welcome gift bags I slipped on my floor and broke my finger nail in half, it was brutal my finger was throbbing and it was 9:00 at night. I had no time the next day for an appointment and the next day was my rehearsal dinner and the day after that was the wedding. I was in the middle of a panic attack. My now husband told me to call Kim and see if she would be willing to fix it. I called, she told me to come on over, she fixed my nail and it looked like nothing had happened. My nails were perfect and Kim left her shop that night at 10:30 pm when she closes at 8:00. I don't know of many places that care for their clients as much as she does. I liked this place until I started going to Kim, the owner, to get my nails done. I make my appointments 3 to 4 weeks ahead of time, on a blank page. It started with waiting up to over an hour in between pedi and nails. Next month, same thing, it took me over 3 hours to get out of there because Kim makes double appointments apparently. Next month, Kim doesn't even show up! Not until I said out loud asking if she is coming in, nope. Then she calls and apologized to me, asked me to come in the next day. Then she calls and rescheduled appointment for the next day at 11am. Then she calls me the night before to come in at 10:30am. I am always on time, considerate of their business. Kim is a no show! They called her and she mosied in at 10:50! She has no respect first her clients. And I mentioned that I was upset about her standing me up constantly, and she had the nerve to complain to me about how busy she is, scolding me! Did I mention that I tip Kim $10! Not any more, ever! As a woman, when you go get your nails done you want to be relaxed and feel comfortable where you are and that is how I have felt here since day one. I went to this salon for the first time a couple weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised by the design of the store. I thought I was going to have a pleasant experience but that was not the case. My nail tech was an older male with lengthy hair. I picked a couple of colors to decide between when it came to polishing. I was immediately bombarded with suggestions and reasons why I should get no chip paint. I told him I didn't want it because I don't like it (personal preference). He was telling me how crazy I was for not gettin it and how it's so much better. I asked how much it was and he said an extra $10 for less drying time. Rip off! But he continues to push it. When I told him I liked a specific shape for my nails he side-eyed me as if I'm being ridiculous. When he unevenly filed my nails, and I brought it to his attention, his reply was "wow, seriously?!" Absolutely I'm serious. No attention to detail. Fast forward to the polish, after we poured his life story into my lap about his divorce and cheating wife, I picked three polish's. The first he said was too light, so I said no and he wiped it off. The second one I felt was too pink for my taste, so he huffed and wiped it off. Then proceeded to tell me I was a pain in the ass because I have to get my nails done a specific way because of my job. He then told me that I'm making him stay extra for no reason. He was supposed to be home to his new girlfriend 30mins prior because she's making him dinner and I'm holding him up. Worst service I've ever received in my entire life of getting nails. I usually go to Your Nails on Grand Ave., but one day it was closed so I had to come here. I had never been here before and I needed a pedicure and so did my boyfriend. Both of us got pedicures that day and they dug deep into our toes and made us bleed. Two days later, we BOTH GOT TOE INFECTIONS on multiple toes. Our toes were so painful and filled with nasty puss. The skin from the inside was oozing out along with puss and blood. We went to the doctor and our results said that we had MRSA. Oh my god, f*cking MRSA! It's a rare bacterial infection that is common in nail salons that don't clean their supplies. These people gave us MRSA, they are disgusting and will be shut down. We are going to send a report to the Health Department so they can investigate and Nice Nails II will no longer exist. They will also have to pay for our costly medical bills.
