This nail place needs work. A lot of it. Came here using a gift certificate my friend got me as a…read moremother day gift. A year late I finally used it. They're always 'busy' and always need appointments made. First of all the manager(guy) who seems like he is anyways, is rude and raised his voice at me. When I sat down to have my shellac pedicure, the lady told me it's an extra $5 to take off my shellac. Now I don't know any nail salons around here that would charge that especially when you have shellac on and getting shellac. Would make sense if I was getting a regular pedicure and I needed to remove my shellac. Anyways then he started raising his voice and saying it's the policy and went on and on. Please. I'm the customer and this store does not value any customers as they are. Obviously. So I guess they leave me no choice but to give them the $5 that they really need. Ladies please stay away from this nail salon. You can find better in the area! Someone needs to tell Jenny that this is not the way to Treat customers.

If i honestly could give her a 0 star, thats what this salon actually deserves to get. Hospitality…read morewise i have no complaints, jenny offered me water which was very sweet, but service wise its horrible. Im not usually a big deal maker, which is why when she messed up my nails, i left with a 10% discount. I thought u know what, ive been here for almost 2hours i just wanna leave. The same night, i could not do anything with my fingers because they were hurting really badly. The lady who did my nails pressed too hard on the nails with the glue. On top of that, glue was stuck to the skin under my nails, so i had to grab something sharp from my cousins house and actually start scraping my skin off the glue. When i was done, the under of my nails were all red and hurting so i thought i should call jenny and let her know what happened. Once ive explained to her what happened she started getting really defensive saying it was all my fault. That i didnt know what i wanted and that im just a thief who doesnt know anything about nails and that this was the first time ive done my nails. I tried explaining to her that this is not the first time and i might not have as much knowledge as she does, but i do know the minimum because ive been doing my nails here and there just in montreal and that this is THE FIRST TIME MY NAILS HURT. She started accusing me that im a thief i take advantage of their services and ask for a refund after. I told her listen jenny i dont want your money back i just want to make my nails better because it hurts and im trying to consult with you to see if theres anything i can do to make it better. She offered me a refund telling me she doesnt want to deal with people like me and i should take my money back and never cal again her store. Im 24 years old, ive been doing my nails 2-3 times a year since probably i was 16, and i can tell you this much, this jenny was very impolite and disrespectful and so far, the worst salong ive ever been. Yes it wasnt expensive, 30$ for gel like hey thats pretty cool, but id rather go pay what i usually do at 45$ and not have to deal with anyone like her. Very very very disapointed. Not to mention my cousin found this place through yelp for a 4.5 out of 5 rating. HORRIBLE.

I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING TO THE STORE OWNER TO GET THEIR NAILS DONE!!!!!!!!!…read more I have been getting my nails done in the past by Rose was and I was always happy with her (she is the second manager) I like that she was very patient, very understanding and always followed the direction of what the CUSTOMER wanted not what she wanted. However, the last time that I went, Rose was not working the other manager was working and I ended up getting my nails done by her. I told her EXACTLY what I wanted and told her constantly that I work in an office and I need my nails to be SUPER SHORT as I don't like long nails in general. She said OK, as she was working on my nails I would tell her repeatedly that they are long still and one of the hands nails does not match the other hand, one hand the nails are much longer than the other, she kept on telling me "no it's not, it's just you" again I repeated myself one more time to her and she wouldn't get it so I left as I was getting late for another appointment. As I got home it was bothering me ALOT, so a day later I went to her and told her if she can shorten the nail. When I got there, She was EXTREAMLY rude, wouldn't listen to what I had to say, she kept on making me to repeat myself OVER AND OVER and she started talking shit in her language with Rose and wanted to charge me another $15.00 to just shorted the nails, she was frustrated and REALLY wanted to make some MORE MONEY just to simply shorten it. Told her I was never going to come here again and that I will never forget this experience that I had with her. I normally never write a bad review only positive but this was something else, I can now see and understand why they are never busy and why they don't have customers. Go anywhere but here.

Laser Hair Removal Experience - Disappointed and Let Down…read more I'm writing this review to share my factual, lived experience with Laura so others can make informed decisions. I was a loyal, trusting client who purchased a full body laser hair removal package that included 8 sessions and one additional if needed. Despite this, I was only provided with 8 total sessions -- yet she falsely claim I received "10+." I have detailed records and time-stamped screenshots that prove otherwise. My first session -- done with single pulse mode -- was the only one that produced significant results. When I asked to continue with that mode, Laura (the tech) refused, saying "it takes too long." She used glide mode for the remaining 7 sessions without my consent. Treatments were rushed, poorly done (missing many areas), and produced minimal results. She later admitted in writing that I had made the request for single pulse mode and that she dismissed it. Instead of respecting my preference and safety, she increased the laser's intensity on a mode I didn't consent to -- putting my skin at higher risk for burns or irritation. At one point, Laura seemed open to fixing things. She said, "I truly want to make this right, earn your trust back, and get you results safely and comfortably," and "I never want you to feel taken advantage of or dismissed." But that follow-through never came. Now, both she and the owner of Lovella, Ella, have become cold and uncooperative -- refusing to take accountability or offer a fair solution. When I spoke up, they changed their narrative. They now claim I "rescheduled too often," despite me following the proper 4-8 week timeline between sessions. The 9th session -- part of my original package -- was never delivered, due to their delays. I followed all pre- and post-care instructions exactly. Ella, despite being the business owner of Lovella, who accepted my $2,000 payment, has tried to frame the issue as "between you and Laura." That's unacceptable. The business is hers, and the technician (Laura) worked under her name. I also raised concerns about burns and irritation, which were dismissed without even examining the affected areas. They've since tried to blame me with false claims about doing "home skin treatments," which I absolutely did not do. If they're referring to over-the-counter skincare, none were used near appointments - and certainly not in a way that would invalidate professional results or cause burns. To top it off, Ella ended her message with a veiled threat: "If you choose to leave a negative review based on inaccurate claims, that is to your discretion." Let me be clear: every claim I've made is backed by dated screenshots and written communication. I was denied services I paid for, gaslit, and treated dismissively when I voiced concerns. I asked for a fair partial refund or additional sessions done correctly by someone qualified -- and they refused. Their most recent response was not only dismissive, but full of contradictions. They told me not to contact them by phone (only by email), yet Ella previously asked to have a phone call about this issue. Plus I have never called them about this... Laura now claims she no longer works at Lovella, even though Ella had just told me she works part-time. Which is it? Worst of all, they continue to ignore my documented concerns about burns and ineffective treatment. This entire experience has been frustrating and deeply unfair. I'm not sharing this out of malice, but to protect others from going through what I did. Even now, they are trying to intimidate me into silence. I no longer trust Laura with something as vulnerable as my body, and I encourage anyone considering treatment there to proceed with caution. Final Note: I've stayed respectful throughout and was open to a fair resolution, but they dismissed my concerns and refused to engage further. I'm only sharing this publicly because they left me no other option. I used to love Lovella. This experience has been soul shattering. The betrayal is what stings the most...

Our hair dresser is at Toronto, because of the weather, I booked a haircut for my 15 yr old daughter in town this weekend(the woman hair cut price is 89$ + tax + tips). When we arrived, the salon door was closed, customer has to ring the door bell to get in. A woman opened the door and let us in, before we entering 2nd door, she asked us to change our shoes with their store slippers. Because she is afraid our shoes are dirty. There are only two staffs in the shop(guess they are the owners, the woman kept giving us the don't-care-your-business look) and we are the only customers(it is Saturday afternoon at 4:30). My daughter showed this woman the hairstyle she likes, before she siting down, the woman started to complain about my daughter's hoodie, told her not to wear a hoodie next time to visit them, I folded the hoodie inside and tried to help. Finally my daughter allowed sit down, the woman started to exam the hair, asked about if she has dry scalp, then the man came over, he used a hair comb's pointing end to checked her hair avoid any touching by hand. I told them my daughter has dandruff nothing like lice if it's their concern. They asked my daughter to move to a different spot, mentioned they had to check her hair with some chemical stuff. I have NEVER had experience with any hair/nail salons or spas like this, I felt humiliated and couldn't stand the weirdness, we left the shop. I have been living in Aurora over 20 year, my two daughters grew up here, down the road from Kennedy st.. I will make sure to share my experience with everyone around me and my daughters will do the same. Treating your customer like this, you will run out your business very soon!
