I stumbled upon Sugar Me Spa on Google and read some mixed reviews, but decided to give this place a try anyways. I booked my first Brazilian sugar appointment through their online booking service in April 2019 at the RH location. Jasmyne was my aesthetician, she made me feel comfortable and walked me through the process of my service. I left not knowing what the results should look and feel like, but now that I've gotten a bunch of Brazilian sugars done (with another business), I can confirm that my experience with Sugar Me Spa was not great. I still had a lot of hair that hadn't been "pulled" out by the sugar, but I thought that's how Brazilian waxes were as it was my first time receiving one. It looked like I had shaved quickly and didn't bother to go over a second time to get all the remaining hairs. It didn't bother me as I trusted the process and was planning to book with Sugar Me Spa again once time came. Their online booking was extremely inaccurate in regards to the times and/or dates available for services. I booked my second appointment, only to be texted that the establishment was closed during the time slot I had chosen and I had reschedule. I wasn't able to reschedule, so I cancelled it instead. I booked another appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne as I already dealt with her my first time around), through the same online system. I received another text a week before my appointment stating Jasmyne was not working during the date and time I had chosen. I was offered different dates and times to reschedule, however, time was too tight to reschedule. I asked if another aesthetician could provide the service, to no avail. I rescheduled my appointment 1 month later (with Jasmyne) in August 2019, only to be texted that Jasmyne couldn't make it to work and was asked to reschedule again... Overall, over a span of 4 months, I went once with mediocre results. Their appointment booking service is extremely hectic and inconsistent.

I highly recommend Sugar Me Spa. The only reasons I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is the inability to pay with card and that it took a bit to find as it is inside the natural health storefront while I was looking for signage for Sugar Me Spa.

I used to love going here. I never had many horrible experiences. However, last time I was there, I felt rushed and I was out in 10 minutes for an eyebrow appointment. Granted the lady did say she was quite busy with laser services. The manager reached out and I was quite apologetic as I did not want anyone to get into trouble for a review I left. After 5 weeks, I decided to return and unfortunately I was paired with the same lady like last time. Although extremely nice, I think there there needs to be a few more training sessions. She threaded my brows. When she did my right brow, it was fine. But my left, I felt a sharp pain many times but didn't think nothing of it other than my eyebrow hairs not wanting to leave my face. I left I was happy and my eye brows looked good. What I notice when I return home was trauma to my brow bone. Lots of trauma and blood and tender feeling. To start the waxer was incredibly rough, constantly grabbing my head and jerking it around, pressing into my eye socket and waxing the skin off my eyelids, not to mention at no point in time did she attempt to correct anything when I informed her that the witch hazel was burning (most likely due to my skin being ripped off), the only answer she had was I had "sensitive skin" (I do not have sensitive skin and have never had issues with waxing) I ended up leaving with swollen eye lids, ripped skin and a horrible tint job.

It was relatively painless so in that context she knew what she was doing. She also sold aftercare products that have helped to ensure no ingrowns. Things I didn't love: she was quick but not super precise. For instance, when I've had my eyebrows or legs done in the past, the aesthetician would wax, then go in with tweezers and make sure to get everything. That wasn't a thing here. She also had me change and lie on the table with my bottom half facing the door...a door she went in and out of several times which made me feel exposed should people walk by. And lastly, she put the used waxed strips on the table so when I rolled over, they might have stuck to me. The same happened with my sister who was there at another time so it seems this is just sort of how it works.
