Before my trip I didn't get to get my nails done, so I had to find a place here. The hubby found this place because they open nice and early which was great because our afternoon was already busy. When I arrived, they greeted me quickly and were really nice about it. A couple of things I really liked were that this place is clean. A lot of nail salons have things all over the place. But this one had this in their designated spots. Speaking of designated spots...I liked that all of their colours were placed in a nice centralized spot at the front rather than all over the place. So I was looking for a nail salon to bring my mom on Mother's Day, and came across this establishment. When we arrived, there seemed to be very limited parking (shared with condo parking), so be careful if you are there for longer than 2 hours -- you will get ticketed (I didn't know this until I saw a sign and asked one of the aesthetician. Anyway, my mom's manicurist (Jennifer) was great-- mine, unfortunately, was subpar. When we walked in, she was at the desk -- and she did not have the same apron uniform as the rest of the staff. Needless to day, her skills and attention to detail were lacking. Would I go back? Yes, but I would be very specific about who I wanted to see. If you are looking for a luxurious experience, this is definitely not the place. However, if you need a less expensive option to update your nails, this is a good option. read more

The shellac is worse, the colour originally spilled out onto my fingers. I know my finger nails are really short but comon, that's so much spilling out. Paid 53 in total plus pedicure and I still need to fix the rest on my own? Maybe their gel is better, I might just give this one more chance since it's a pretty clean spa and the workers are nice. Happy with my nails!! Still holding up quite well after a week... see pics :) Wanted the accent nail to have snowflakes which the girl tried her best to do for me and I am quite happy with how everything turned out. The price is also better than other places I've been to. And the colour selection is great. I don't typically have a regular nail place but this one is pretty good, walk-in's are welcome, and there is parking at the back of their store. I was premature in my first review. This nail salon is not very consistent. I came back for a pedicure and to bring my mom for a full set bio gel. None of our nails lasted... There was lifting at the edge and the other girls who did my family's nails was not as attentive and there was bubbles and different thicknesses as mentioned in my previous review. Usually bio gel nails can last up to a month but these nails barely lasted the 2 weeks. I definitely noticed chipping and lifting. My mom ended up having to take hers off completely within the first week. Granted we were on vacation in Hawaii so maybe the seawater had some impact on the durability of the nails, but it just didn't last long. The shaping and the designs were really good, but that means nothing if the durability and consistency isn't there. I probably won't come back. read more

I've booked this appointment last minute. They were able to get me in on the same day. I am in Toronto right now and haven't had my nails done for about 100 days. I decided to give myself a birthday treat and get a manicure pedicure. Parking was easy to find right behind the store. Jenny was wonderful! She gave me a lovely pedicure scraped all the callouses off my dry skinned feet - And she gave me an extra long leg massage what a treat! She also did a lovely job on my gel nails. Came here Sunday morning for a pedicure and mani gel refill. They are busy all the time so should call ahead to make a appointment. Pedicure was $30, honestly was a bit weak. They use this disposable plastic exfoliater which wasn't strong enough for my dry heels. The paint job was good but my heels are dry and bumpy still The gel refill was $38 I think and it was amazing!! Way better then the shops around pacific mall. You must go to coco. The number one thing I look for at my nail salons is cleanliness. When I heard about a brand new studio that was clean and cheap, I had to see for myself! The salon is one of the first floor businesses of a new condo. The parking for the salon is the visitor parking for the building which is located behind the studio. There is an entrance to the salon from the parking and you can run in and grab a parking pass which you'll need to display on your dash. When you walk in you can tell that the salon is brand new. A lot of times I've walked into a nail salon and the chairs were ragged, floors dirty, etc. That doesn't make me feel good about the tools they're going to use on me. This place however, was spotless! I made an appointment for a mani/pedi and they were able to tend to me right away. They have a lot of colour selection so it's good to get there a few minutes early and look through them all. My manicure technician recommended some colours which was helpful for me since I tend to rely on the same colours. I was seated at one of the pedicure stations in a very comfy chair and two technicians started on my mani and pedi. They were both very quick with their hands and efficient. They were also very quiet. There was zero talking which I kinda prefer so I can enjoy the experience. There was a nice arm and leg massage that was part of the procedure as well. The drying station was comfortable and they didn't rush me out. My entire service was $38 which was awesome for a great service and my nails turned out really well! During my appointment which was on a Thursday afternoon, there were a few walk-ins. Not all of them could be accommodated ASAP so I would recommend making an appointment. If there is a bit of a wait, there is a plaza next door with a Panera Breads and Five Guys where you can pass the time. Definitely will be back! read more

I've been there twice and they did a great job both times. They pay attention to detail and don't let you leave until it looks perfect. However they always somehow trick me into getting gel nails and paying more for them. For the first time I went, the manicurist told me I could only get a glitter colour if I used gel so I went with it. I later found out this wasn't the case. The second time I had one nail shorter than the rest because it broke and I said I was fine with keeping it that way, but insisted that she put gel on it to make it match. I don't like gel nails because my nails grow fast and I don't have the time or money to keep getting them refilled/redone. I've been here on numerous occasions and love the work that these nail techs do! I often go to Lili for shellac manis. She does an amazing job with nail shape and my shellac polish lasts up to 3 weeks without any chipping or peeling ... which is a rarity for me. Recently I got a pedicure and gel nail extensions by Coco, as I was going on vacation and my nails were really REALLY short. The extensions lasted two weeks, with only one nail coming off by 2.5weeks. However, as I was on vacation I was using my hands a lot and am generally not very gentle with my hands. So 2.5 weeks with no complaints is good enough for me! Overall I love the staff and love this salon. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is because their prices are slightly more than other nail salons in the area. But considering the quality of service and work that I receive when I come here, I'm completely okay with paying a bit more. read more

The staff was friendly and I had one girl doing the manicure, another doing the pedicure. Everything was very rushed. My friend recommended me to go here and Jenny was the one who helped me do my nails. I got a simple shellac manicure and regular pedicure. It came to $53 if you pay cash + tips. They've lasted for so long which is why I'm super impressed. She does a great job in shaping your nails and gives you a nice leg/hand massage too. It's been 4 weeks now since my shellac (long overdue) and besides the normal growth of my nail, there has been no chipping on any of the edges. Think they have great quality products. I came here today for a mani and pedi appointment with my friends and this is my first time getting my nails done. The lady who did my toes and finger nails was very rough, especially when she did my finger nails. She was cutting my cuticles and she was pulling them, she ended up causing my left thumb to bleed. Although it's my first time getting my nails done, I know it shouldn't hurt that much. After I paid, I asked my friends if their lady was also just as rough and they said no. I also didn't want such a sharp nail (I did ask for an almond shape) because my friends agreed a flatter nail suits me better, but when I asked her to make it flatter she said it would flatten as it grew but it just seemed like she didn't want to do it for me. These two things really unsatisfied my experience here and I don't think I'll be coming back; I'd rather go to a better quality place. Plus, one of my friends saw that they took the tools out of a drawer and it was already used... I agree it didn't seem like the most clean place. This place gave a leg massage and hot towel, which a lot of other places skimp out on. The only negative comments i have is that they use same nail file and sanding block for every customer. They didn't offer personal kit for extra fee as some salons do. But it's not a biggy. The other comment is they could use a maintenance on their light bulbs. One third of them are out. But I only noticed coz i was waiting for my nails to dry and had nothing better to do. !.. but that shouldn't discount their nail artistry. I will be back to try their shellac. I've been looking for another nail salon after a previous one botched it really badly and needed them removed. After seeing the good reviews, I wanted to try this out. Facility: Mostly clean when you walk in. They use a fresh towel for each client which I like, but do not use new files & sponges nor do they sanitize the drills before each client. I also do not believe they wipe down the tables with any alcohol after each client, but the table looks clean when you sit down. It seems rare these days that nail salons would practice good hygiene because money is tight. I got a gel polish removal and a basic manicure. It started out with Jenny that filed the gel down, but got up halfway to tend to another client that walked in, then Nancy came along and finished the service up. I'm not bothered by it much, but wish there was some communication because I was a little confused as to what was going on. Total cost was $31 paid with cash. Nancy did very well in getting all the polish off, shortening the nail and filed them down really nicely. My cuticles were well attended to and trimmed just a little of the dead skin. She made a lot of detail and went back when something was amiss. The hand massage was quite nice as well and my hands and nails came out looking very moisturized and great. One star was taking off because they can really improve on communication skills between the client and nail tech. Everyone is super quiet and not trying to make any conversation at all with the client. It seemed quiet awkward very awkward and eerie in the salon. The client next to me was trying to make conversation, but the nail tech only replied with one word answers. Also, when I got up to leave after finishing the drying station, no one bothered to say goodbye to me and only one of them put cuticle oil on my fingers. It felt like I was appreciated as much? However they had just given my appointment away to someone else. One other person was also there waiting. I waited 20 minutes, while one technician did the nails of another technician and a third tech was working on an actual paying customers nails. After my 20 minute wait I left. Yes, I was 5 minutes late for the appointment, but I didn't understand why the two techs would work on each others nails when there are paying customer waiting. Thought I'd try this place out based on the good reviews but I was disappointed. It took 2 hours for a full set of gel nails with french tips (which I didn't even choose). I showed a photo to one of the girls when I walked in, it was a set nude gels, ballerina shape with some small rhinestones. The girl that helped me was meticulous when it came to placing the extensions and filing them to get the right shape but it took too long and I kept asking for shorter but she didn't budge on the length. By the time the nails were one and the first 2 coats of gel was applied, 1 hour and 15 minutes had passed. Then she had to leave because she had another client so the owner took over. Instead of doing the nude colour I chose, she said she would do airbrush french tips for the same price because I said I didn't like the distinctive line of traditional french tips. Took her 10 minutes to get the machine working. Then another 4 coats of gel on top of that plus the top coat. At the end of the 2 hours, I didn't get the nails I initially asked for. The shape was more coffin that ballerina. My nails were too thick and long for my liking. And now, a week later all the nails have started to lift and have bubbles, they've chipped and they're so thick compared to my natural nail bed. For $85 (incl. tip) I will not be going back to this salon. read more

The environment is open and clean, offering a wide variety and selection of colours, and the staff there are always so kind and polite. EDITED: I previously rated this salon 4 stars but it's dropped down to 2 after my last visit! I didn't love it the first time, but decided to come back because of the convenient location. The staff are beyond friendly but the experience was just not great. I made an appointment for my boyfriend and I, and we got there on time, but found that we were waiting a long time. They were really busy so I was understanding and waited patiently, but my feet were soaking in the water for so long while waiting for my pedicure that the water became cold. I also had shellac to be removed from my old manicure so one of the ladies was prompt in soaking my nails in acetone and wrapping them in foil. Since I seemed to be waiting so long, my fingers and nails became super dry from soaking them in acetone. When my pedicure finally started, the lady was really nice! However, she cut my big toe and the polish job was really streaky. It's been a few days since I went, and I've already noticed ingrowns coming in since the pedicure. My boyfriend was getting a pedicure beside me. During the pedicures, both ladies working on us were complaining and cringing to each other about how big his feet were. Luckily my boyfriend doesn't really care about this stuff, but for some people, it's probably really offensive and unprofessional. His pedicure was just ok - he still had really rough skin callouses afterwards. During my manicure, she cut me two more times when cleaning my cuticles. I wasn't upset about it even though my fingers were bleeding. However, she kept saying it was because my fingers were dry (from having soaked in the acetone for so long!!!). This was the annoying part! The shellac job was just ok. I asked for square nails but got round, and some big bubbles are visible from the top coat. Overall, the ladies working were all really nice. I felt awkward throughout the entire experience because everytime a new customer walked in, she kept complaining about not getting any breaks and not getting to eat lunch. I felt bad for her, so still gave a generous tip. Maybe I came on a bad day? But two not great experiences in a row...
