Ever since I started going here, I notice my nails growing stronger & also the way she does my toes literally my nails have been growing straight and strong as well. I highly recommend this place, everyone is respectful & it is a very peaceful environment. When I first came here, they had explained exactly what they use for my nails etc. She was very understanding and made sure I understood before moving forward. Sometimes have conversations with some nail techs they are very kind and outgoing. I've also gotten waxed here & they did a very good job, not a strand of hair was left behind! Also a very clean environment, they use this fan thing to literally catch all the pieces from the nail. Also below photos are from last month going almost over a month now!
If you're looking for a place to just get the job done and not for the pampering experience, then this is a fine place. The place is big enough and the seating is far enough from each other that it doesn't feel uncomfortable. It's also reasonably priced, shellac is $40 and it's an extra $10 for design. Interesting part is google shows this place closes at 7:30, but they booked me for 7:30. That might explain why they didn't want to socialize while doing the job. If you ask for their opinion for anything, they'll just say "it's up to you". I don't particularly mind per se, but considering, it's called nail social it's ironic that there was zero small talk. Again, if you just want to get your nails done quickly, for a reasonable price point, then yes I would recommend it.
It was my first time here and honestly I called last minute to see if they had availability in the morning. I appreciate that they only book what they can manage and are transparent about that. I also appreciate that they're clean. They make you wash your hands when you come in. They also disinfect the chairs and tools they use. I came in for a shellac mani and pedi. The person I started with was nice and cute and did a thorough quick job which is what I like. I had my pedi done first. I asked if it was possible to do some nail art for my hands and she said she didn't think there was enough time which was fine but thought I'd ask. In hindsight I should of stuck to just a normal one colour hands appointment. She ended up passing me to another girl for the nail art who did have time. After we had the standard manicure upkeep part done she passed me to the nail art girl. Now to be honest I wanted to love the actual manicure application and the nail art and I don't know if this is a one off but....the girl who ended up painting my nails kept redoing the lines and comparing my two hands so much...bless her heart... that I ended up with a lot of small air bubbles when it was cured. There was also some dust in there cured to the nail too. And I mean it's fine when you're looking far away the nails look great but when you look closely ...it does end up bothering you. Definitely think for $25 dollars extra I shouldn't have had that and also time wise it took a very long time. I gave the extra rating for the fact that everyone was nice and it was a last minute appointment, also I think she tried her best at giving me what I wanted.
Saw good reviews on Yelp so decided to try this place out. Called same day for a morning appointment for a pedicure. I felt safe with mandatory mask policy, limit of 10 customers in the salon, Covid screening questionnaire, and mandatory use of hand sanitizer before they allow you to step into the shop to select your preferred nail colours. I have never had shellac and since it was my first non-home pedicure in two years, I decided to treat myself to one. They have a several booklets with all the shellac colours they offer. Maggie and many of the staff were kind and very professional. She and several other staff spoke English well (which hasn't always been my experience at nail salons). Maggie took her time to shape and clean my cuticles and smooth and buff my nails. They line the pedicure foot baths with plastic before each customer use, which was reassuring from a cleanliness standpoint. My nails never looked so good! I would definitely return again to get my nails done here.
Best nail salon ever! I've searched high and low all over Toronto, but I finally found the ONE. Very clean and they take care of you / listen to exactly what you want done! They take their time with your nails and you don't feel rushed. I truly had the best experience. Highly recommend!

Booking process was very easy: called to see if there was a spot in two days - told them what I wanted to do, that's it! There was no wait when I arrived. Coming in she asked if there was an occasion which I replied being my wedding on Saturday. During the preparation process, she grasped the person that I am and knew the style I truly wanted (I showed her a few photos as I was indecisive). Pricing was extremely reasonable as well! The salon was actually more clean than other places I've been to. I didn't feel like I was touching grime, nail shavings or dust at all. I'd definitely come here again!
I have been to The Nail Social a few times now. The ladies put a lot of effort into shaping and will take their time to perfect everything. I believe it was Joey who did the marble nail art for me. She can definitely do designs based off of a mediocre photo. I didn't get her name, but a different girl did my extensions and gel base. I don't get my nails done too often, but when I do, I always come back to The Nail Social. They can get quite busy in the afternoon/evening, so it is best to call a few hours in advanced if you are planning to go later in the day. I have always been able to get a late afternoon/evening appointment when I call the same morning or the day before. I did a walk in once, and they were super busy. Mornings would probably be better for walk ins.
This place is really quality for quantity, I wish I came here sooner. The ladies there are very nice, they pick up the phone call almost always and will answer your questions thoroughly. I even managed to book my appointment 1 hour prior just by asking if they had the extra room. I don't know the name of the lady who did my uv gel refill for me but she did a very good job at fixing my nails after my last nail job at a different location. She made sure my nails all had an even surface and were equal in length. She fixed up the shape of my nails and then painted them well. The only thing off was the cuticles but they were not messy. I made sure to leave her a fair tip. As a student it's a little hard to look for a place that does nails for cheap without looking tacky but I would honestly rather come here for something im satisfied with after paying a fair price than something cheap and leaves me feeling unsatisfactory. **I added the rhinestones at home using equipment I already had but the paint job was all them

Amazing amazing amazing!! I got gel extensions with tips and matte white nails. Was about to bling them out but didn't have enough time. The shape is perfect, cuticle is perfect, and edges are great! I'll definitely be coming back!

The Nail Social can be found inside a strip mall, between A Corner Cafe (which surprisingly is not on a corner, lol) and Yin Ji Chang Fen with plenty of parking available. Since my family and I were staying in Markham during our last vacation, I wanted to find a nail salon in the city, which ended up leading me here (which I found on Yelp). There wasn't any information about price though on this Yelp page but am happy to add these photos of the pricing that I took when I arrived. I initially had made an appointment for Tuesday, around 2 pm the day before. However, my lunch with one of my aunts and uncles went longer than expected and so I had to call to cancel and ask if I could change the time to a later time. The girl on the phone was so kind and told me because I wasn't exactly sure what time I would be available to have my nails done, she suggested to call before coming in just so I would not have to wait if I was to do a walk in. So later that day, I called prior and the girl told me to come in, so I walked in around 4:55 pm and waited a little over 10 minutes before being asked to take a seat by an employee named Joey. I wanted to get gel nails, which is different from shellac nails for those that may confuse the two (especially since sometimes nail salons will use both words interchangeably but they are not the same). Shellac nails are kind of like a semi- permanent polish, which doesn't last as long (and also is cheaper than gel nails). But gel nails are a semi- permanent gel nail, which does last a few weeks longer. Gel nails cost $75 for a new set. I also wanted a design (I almost always get a design with my nails, which does cost extra but I don't mind), which I had a photo on my phone to show Joey. I told her what design I wanted for my ring finger and middle finger and the same on the other hand (so total of 4 nails that would have design). Joey told me that cost would be $75, in which she didn't charge me extra for design (so I made sure to tip her higher because of it). I liked that Joey took a photo of the design I had in mind with her camera phone so that she could refer to it on her own phone while she was painting my nails. Joey definitely is very talented and I just loved the design she had, as I picked an ice cream cone with sprinkles. She also helped me to find the right colors that I wanted (I wasn't looking for the exact shade and am pretty flexible). I really loved the way the design and the pink color I picked for the rest of my nails, as it really went with the ice cream theme. Although Joey told me that my nails would last 4 weeks, my nails lasted beyond that (and never chipped or lifted. Being in health care, I don't baby my hands and I also wash them constantly, honestly these were probably the best nails I have ever had done). The only reason I took them off was because it really need a fill since my nails had grown over. Joey told me that she had not done an ice cream cone before and she was also happy with her results too. Now this is my first time getting my nails done in Canada and am not sure if it is not customary to get a hand massage and lotion on your hands after a manicure or not. I didn't get one after this manicure but have always had it done with the nail salons in California and also in Hawaii where I have gotten my nails done. Not a big deal, but I wished I had brought my own lotion to put on since my hands were dry. But overall, I am very happy with my experience and would come back the next time I visit Markham in the future. Please note that they do accept credit card but there is a credit card fee. So happy that I finally decided to try getting my nails done at this salon although it took so long to get them done. I'm very happy with the result! The lady that took care of me paid attention to every detail and she even suggested a colour when I wanted to change what I've originally picked the first time!!! Omg!!!! I cannot say enough about this nail salon. I had my nails done other places before but this place checked off all of boxes that a girl is looking for at a nail salon. I had an amazing service with Cathy and other nail technicians are so nice, friendly, and talent. Cathy was really outstanding on her nail art technique, she is so patient with me, she even took 3 hours just to make my nails ready for the holiday season. This is a first time that I actually saw the consistency between all of the nail technicians at this place, they are all friendly, talent, and master in nail art. The salon has wide range of colors and I am for sure they will be able to meet your requirement. I will definitely come back and definitely refer friends to this place. The price is really reasonable. Just really want to say, if you are looking for a nail salon to make your nails beautiful for any special occasions, or just want to treat yourself, this place is a place to go. The nail techs here are absolutely fantastic, friendly and helpful. I was in for about two hours and during that time I watched how efficient and meticulous they were, and accommodated every customers needs whenever they could. My nail tech was wonderful and I wish I had gotten her name. She ensured that my natural nails were prepped and filed evenly, and was very helpful when deciding which of my nails needed extensions. Their prices are great for the amazing work they do. I highly recommend booking your appointment ahead of time because of how busy they can get! Will definitely be returning in the future read more

Recently discovered this place because my favourite nail tech (Joey) came to work at this salon! You should definitely try it out, it's super clean and they take their time to do your nails. I always walk away super satisfied with both my shape and colour! They're also always super accommodating with appointments, they will try their best to fit you in as soon as possible. I am always hesitant to go to new salons but let me tell you these ladies are amazing at what they do. They are so careful and made sure I loved my design + made a few suggestions along the way. I am always getting compliments on my nails and will definitely be going back! read more

I am so happy I found the nail social! Maggie is really great at what she does, from my first appointment I just knew this would be my new nail spot. The time she takes to make sure her clients are happy is incredible. She caters to your ever need, and even goes above and beyond to make my nails extra special. Not only does she do my nails amazing, she is great with her staff and constantly trains them to do better. If you are looking for a spot to do your nails, please give them a shot! It was my first visit and I had such an amazing experience. They have amazing customer service and are very accommodating (she stayed open later to take me in) and they pay very close attention to detail. They did an amazing job on the design, shape and overall nails in general. They prices are also very fair, especially with their service. I will definitely be going back! read more
