Upon entering, you will notice immediately, the place is grand! From large hanging chandeliers to the sheer amount of space. This place is huge. You check in and then take a really long escalator up to an area where you are greeted by a staff member who assigns you a locker for your shoes! That's right, this first locker only holds your shoes with their modern locking system unlocked by your wrist band. You are offered slippers and walked over to your respective change room where you are greeted by another staff member from behind a counter. This person asks which kind of outfit you would like - a thin silky robe or a comfortable pair of shorts and t shirt. You then find your locker and store your belongings and change into the provided outfit. Your walk through this change room alone is a spa like experience in itself. The women's change room has a sauna, steam room, hot tubs and showers with brand name soaps and shampoos. The water pressure in the shower was nice and strong, temperature control was easy making for a really comfortable experience. On your way out are a wall of vanity type stations fully equipped with hair dryers, q-tips, single use combs, mouth wash, any thing you can thing of all available for use at no extra cost. You're then free to wander the entire facility! The spa features: - many hot and cold rooms ranging in temperature. I recommend going in order so you really feel the difference in temperature changes. Each room is differentiated by unique wall decor - an infra red room - a gym where they provide running shoes. The gym has a few free weights, treadmills and other equipment - a movie theatre playing some old movies on a schedule (remember this used to be the FMP movie theatre) - a restaurant where the food was surprisingly superb! We tried the oysters, a rice dish, sushi and the hot drinks. Everything was delish. - billiard tables - a large lounge where you can work, chill or play board games which are available for rent! In this lounge, you are also able to purchase snacks and drinks The upper level is used for paid additional services such as manis/ pedis and massages. This is my 3rd visit to Go Place. When I first visited right after it opened, the waiting line was so long that it took me a while to mentally prepare to come back again. I came back after about 5 yrs, and the wait is still pretty long. If you enjoy sauna and jjimjilbang, I would definitely recommend this place. The facility is very spacious and they have multiple rooms with different temperatures. There are also lounge areas with a pool table, gym, computer area like a PC room, sleeping rooms, and even a restaurant. Everything is clean and well maintained, and there are multiple water dispensers with paper cups. In the shower area, they provide towels and all the basic amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, and shower caps, so you don't really need to bring anything. Just bring your swimsuit and underwear. One thing to note is that slippers, socks, and robes were extra. It opens 24 hrs so you can stay overnight if you want but there is an additional fee. I stayed overnight this long weekend with a friend because we needed some rest, and it was such a relaxing and enjoyable time. We got to sweat, detox, eat, and just unwind. Despite its bursting popularity, we managed to get in right away on a Saturday morning around 11am. The facility is huge and definitely busy, but not overly so that we couldn't access anything. We got to do everything we wanted, including book massages for those in our party that wanted them. There was no online availability, but in person appts available. Everywhere is super clean! You walk barefoot or with socks/rented slippers, but you get used to it because of the cleanliness. I was pleased to see some snacks and tea have been put out, but they are on the check-in level. I know that moving them might cause people to go crazy with pocketing apples, lol, but it might be nice to have them in the rec area! Perhaps an attendant sitting by would dissuade people from grabbing hundreds of cookies. Resto is a little pricey, as expected. The changerooms are small and not many private ones available, so just a word of caution if you are shy. Spa clothing is provided, slippers are not. Inside it's absolutely stunning. Very clean and smells heavenly. Change Rooms: On the girls side you get your slippers and suit. Recommend to write your name under your slipper. Plenty of stations to sit and dry your hair (Dyson dryers) and other essentials like body lotions etc. There are only three change rooms which had a wait time, when it's busy, the locker area is packed. In this area, you will also have access to the hot tubs, cold shower, steam rooms, showers and bathrooms. Facilities: Various sauna rooms (different temperatures), cold room (so relaxing), the gym is equipped with a pool table, if you don't have shoes, they have a wall full of them (different sizes) Red therapy chairs/room: relaxing, movie room, dark and huge( full recliner beds) with blankets, you can easily take a nap. Several lounge chairs around to sit, the space is constantly being cleaned. Food: We got bubble tea, wings, chicken. Everything came in a timely manner and it was delicious, you pay with your wrist band. Massages: Held on the 2nd floor, the massages (Remy) is fairly pricey compared to non rmt. the massage wasn't the best I ever had but it got the job done. We treated ourselves to a full day of relaxation here after a busy few months. Despite coming early, its still very busy here, especially around the holidays. It did get in the way of the jacuzzi area and sauna use as it gets full quick. It seems like their common lounging area holds more than they can accommodate in the different sauna rooms, and it really showed when it was time for lunch. When we got to the lunch area, we had to scan a QR code to join a waitlist. We do wish that they had a better way of letting us know this was the process or to have the option to view the wait from the app. Had we known there was a long wait, we would have signed up fpr that waitlist sooner. Once we got in, we were seated in the very back corner area, which was very dim and dark. The staff does not come by this area often unless its to drop food off, so we would have to walk to the front to ask for any sort of assistance. We got our drinks and sushi really quick, but our seafood noodles took over an hour and 3 different servers to "follow up forcus" to get to us. That was really frustrating to basically be completely forgotten about. The drinks were good! Tapioca were chewy and had a nice sweetness to it and the milk tea was tasty. The sushi were all a good size and had a good rice to fish ratio. The only roll we didn't like was the spicy salmon. The spicy mayo used tasted like frank hot sauce, so it was a weird tangy surprise biting into it. When we finally got the seafood noodles, it was thankfully tasty. It had a good amount of seafood and veggies, but the sauce was a little too salty. The noodles were perfectly crispy, but we do wish there was a little more noodles. Management kept sharing with us how they're understaffed and therefore unprepared for the volume of guests visiting. Ok I didn't think I would return especially on a Saturday night thinking it would be too crowded but on my last visit I spent 11 hours here. I arrived around 10pm on a Saturday. The pool area was crowded. The relaxing area had a good amount of people too. Not as crowded as I remembered during the day though but just as noisy. However as the night went on, people started to leave and I felt like it was a comfortable amount of people to be around with. I initially did not intend to stay past 2am and pay the extra $15 on top of the $71.95 entry fee but I was so relaxed, so I did. I actually think it's a great deal considering hotel rooms would cost more than that and not include all the amenities. I decided to sleep in the theater room. Nothing was playing on the screen, only calm music in the background. There was 1 attendant there who offered to add a sheet and provide blankets when asked. I think you can also ask for an eye mask and they do provide ear plugs. In the middle of the night the red light therapy area was turned off. People were sleeping everywhere and the quietness was respected. If you are hungry the restaurant is open until 2am. You can get bubble tea in a cup to go and walk around with it anywhere. Note that the iced drinks range from $7-$8, not including toppings. Also note for the theatre room they have lightning charging cables in each seat. So if you use USB C, bring your own power bank. I do remember once that the men's pool area had 5 pools and it seems like now it has been switched with the women so now we have only 2 pools. Lucky gals! You can find bath and body products by L'Occitane here so lather and lotion up! If you need to leave the site, like to go out to eat, you can do so for up to 2 hours per visit. This a co-ed spa with the single sex dressing and pool areas, communal energizing and ice rooms, restaurant and also full aesthetic service rooms. From the instance your shoe concierge greets you to begin your spa experience you begin to elevate and relax. On check-in, guests are offered complimentary robes or lounge wear sets to use while on site and take home with you. Slippers can be purchased for $3 and are needed to walk around the facility in my opinion. No outside clothing or shoes are permitted, but you can bring empty refillable water bottles to use. They even offer shopping while you are roaming. The restaurant had Asian inspired options from Udon to Stir Fry's and Sushi. A robust drink menu is also available. Very clean & relaxing place! I can't believe I was there for approximately 12 hours... didn't think I would last that long but once you hit all the jacuzzi baths, steam room and the various sauna and therapy rooms, you will feel so relaxed that it is hard to leave. For the bath house which consists of jacuzzi baths & steam room, this is all separated by gender which I'm not a fan of since if I go their with my partner, we will have to enjoy these separately. I did really enjoy this area. The jacuzzi are big in size so it can fit quite a few people in it at all times. The steam room is not as big and can probably fit around 10 people in it. The steam room is infused with eucalyptus which is really nice. Also, there is an area that has a tall shower stream with a lot of nozzles shooting out COLD water and is such a nice contrast when going from hot, cold to relax. I got to experience most of the sauna and therapy rooms except for the salt and jade room. Most of these rooms/areas can only fit between 8-10 people. The amethyst room is a bit funny in that it is glass enclosure and sits right where the lounge area is so you are on display for everyone to see if they are that interested in watching you haha. I arrived around 8:30 a.m. on a Wednesday and was able to check in right away. I was given a wristband with a number on it (this wristband is used to lock/unlock your lockers as well as order additional services and food with it) as well as entry card. When you walk over to the entry gate, there is security there to check your bag(s) then they will insert the card for you and the gate will open. I took the escalator up to the second floor and at the top, there was another attendant there who asks you to remove your outdoor shoes and proceeds to assign you a shoe locker (yes, a locker just for shoes!). Tip: If you are going during the winter months, do not wear high boots and these lockers are minimal in height. Once I entered the women's change room, I was asked if I wanted slippers to purchase at a cost of $3.99. If you don't purchase slippers, you are walking around in your bare feet as they don't allow you to use your own slippers from home (you can bring your own rubber slippers for showering only). I chose to purchase slippers and they are branded & the quality is quite good. I was shown to my locker then after that, I went to have a shower. The shower was blissful. The pressure from the showerhead is perfecto! Not too soft and not too hard. They also use L'Occitane products there which I really loved & appreciated. The temperature is really nice... tons of hot water. It never once went cool or cold on me. When I had a shower at the end of my day, there was still lots of hot water. In fact, I had trouble getting cooler water. They have Dyson hairdryers for us to use as well as L'Occitane body lotion. At one point of the day, I was looking for Kleenex and one of the attendants asked if I needed help so I told her and she brought back face wash (LOL) then asked me for my wristband number. It looked like something I could borrow to use & only get charged if not returned. My friends and I also had lunch at their restaurant. I had the gamjatang. It was okay... not bad but not great either. The broth was sweet and spicy. The meat was not very tender and the potatoes were overcooked. It also didn't come with banchan (didn't expect this honestly) but came with steamed white rice. I also had a dragon dragon smoothie with coconut jelly during my stay at the spa and it was very yummy. Lastly, while I was there, my friend and I decided to get a foot massage. You can simply walk up to the third floor and there is a reception desk there where I was warmly greeted. I went up around 4 p.m. and asked if they had availability & was told that they could start as early as 4:15 p.m. so my friend and I booked it just by showing them our wristband with our number on it. The foot massage is located in the room next to the amethyst room and the lighting in there is dimmed & relaxing. You sit in a lounger. We booked 45 minutes and did those minutes fly by! The foot massage experience is amazing! The lady who massaged me is stronger... didn't let up at all. I highly recommend this treatment. I finally checked out around 8:15 p.m. & checking out is a breeze. You give them your wristband, they print out an invoice, you pay it then they give you another access card to insert to the leaving gate for it to automatically open up. I finally had the chance to visit Go Place after a friend had recommended it to me. There were many things I enjoyed about my first experience here. 1. The staff was very friendly when they found out I was a first time visitor and the explained everything very carefully for mem. 2. The facilities are exceptionally clean and well-kept. Staff members are routinely moving about checking in with patrons and making sure things are neat and tidy. 3. I arrived around 8:30am. I wish I could have arrived earlier but I had transportation limitations. Getting their early will allow you to have a more quiet and peaceful experience. I so enjoyed only sharing the women's spa area with only 4-5 other people. It was very relaxing. 4. The saunas were very nice, though small, and the door of the jade room didn't close all the way allowing cooler air to seep in. I would liked to have spent more time in the volcanic rock room. 5. I really enjoyed the red light therapy area. I just wish there were more spots because it was hard for me to get one while I was there. Things that could be improved upon: 1. It got too crowded for me by noon, and I was ready to leave. For only $75 USD I had a great value for my 4 hours there, but I would have enjoyed spending more time there without so many people. Make sure to go on a weekday if/when you can otherwise it will not really be quiet. 2. My philosophy is that spas should be quiet relaxing experiences. After 10:30, it was not quiet. The women's spa area was really loud when I left. And it was difficult for me to find a quiet place to read without conversations and noise from other patrons in the common areas. I would have liked to go to the quiet of the comfort room, but there was not light to read by in there... Aside from these small complaints (which are more with the visitors than the facility itself), I would definitely come again. I think I would make an effort to come on a weeknight and go late in the evening. I just want to have a quiet relaxing experience not be social. Make sure to take advantage of all aspects of the spa including some of the free items like tea samples and small snacks in the lobby. If you don't have your own vehicle, you may find it somewhat of a challenge to reach the spa. I had to use public transportation on this last trip, and it took me about 1.5 hours on a tuesday morning using metro and busses to save some money. Spent Christmas Day at GO Place Spa and had another great experience. We arrived around 10 a.m. and didn't wait long in line, which was a nice start to the day. We've been here a few times now and it's always a refreshing, relaxing visit. We booked a foot massage with Alex, and she was absolutely amazing--friendly, skilled, and full of great stories. Truly one of the highlights of our visit. Big props to her; we'll definitely be requesting Alex again when we come back in January. Dining was pretty good overall. One small issue was that the fried shrimp balls were undercooked and still raw inside, but the staff handled it well and comped the dish, which we really appreciated. A quick side note about the lounge chairs: we left ours unattended past the time limit, so our personal books were placed in lost and found and our drinks were thrown away (lesson learned!). That said, the staff were very kind and replaced our drinks, which was a thoughtful gesture. The infrared chairs were also constantly 100% occupied. There is a posted time limit, but it seemed like some guests were staying well beyond that--basically lounging there to get cooked . Hopefully this can be monitored a bit more closely so more guests get a chance to use them. It did take quite a while for lounge chairs to become available and be cleaned, but given how busy it was--especially on Christmas--we didn't mind the wait. As a bonus, they had a spin game in the lobby--I won $50 and my friend won $20 toward our next visit, so we'll definitely be back to redeem those. I had been meaning to try this place for awhile and finally got my chance. Came on a Saturday, around noon. Let's start off with the good. It's the old Cineplex in Markham that they have converted, so it is SPACIOUS. They have the hot waters (separated for men and women), lots of lounge chairs in their leisure/lounge areas, tons of seating (tables, couches etc), and several heat therapy rooms (amethyst room, jade room, infrared room, etc etc). You can even rent board games to play in the leisure areas. There is also a quiet room, gym, computer room. A restaurant is also on site (no outside food allowed in) It does also operate as a traditional spa with massage services, nail services (book an appointment online) There are plenty of staff around if you need assistance, you can get blankets if you want to chill in one of the lounge chairs and sleep (seriously, saw lots of people asleep). For the spa, you buy slippers to wear ($3.99) and you can keep them (we were told we can use them the next time we come, but my only concern with this is, if people are taking them home to wear around, then bring them back, they are dirty lol), you get a robe, and towels. The water area also has a fridge with cold face cloths to cool you down. They have a shower area and a makeup area (hair dryer, face products, body lotion ) The not so good. Ok, I will say you will definitely have a better experience if you come during a weekday instead of a weekend (if coming on a weekend, try earlier in the day. By 5:30pm when we were leaving there was a 2hr wait to get in ) While the space is large, it's disproportionate for certain areas. All the heat therapy rooms are small. They are all small rooms that hold about 6-7 people. So people kept opening the doors to some of the rooms to see, therefore interrupting your quiet . The waters are ok, again for the size of the place they are small. If it's very busy you won't enjoy it. Also in the waters area, there are only 7 or so lounge chairs, so if you want to sit for a bit, good luck. The bathroom in the waters area are only 2 stalls. The restaurant- you have to go to the restaurant and by QR code get into the online waiting queue. Again, for the size of the place, it's quite small. It took us over 1.5hrs to get in (again on a weekend, so pretty sure weekdays might not be an issue). The food was ok. I was starving so I'd probably eat cardboard at that point lol Overall, my recommendation is to go in a weekday. Just to note - this is not a traditional spa - it's more of a social spa - you can talk, go with a big group, and have a fun afternoon. I had the pleasure of visiting Go Place Spa (I lost count how many times I visited, but definitely more than 5) and each time I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for a treat. My massage therapist was incredibly skilled, tailoring the massage to my specific needs. The pressure was perfect, and I felt my muscles melt away under their expert touch. I opted for the Lymphatic Drainage massage. With all that relaxation....I got hungry lol The food at Go Place Spa was delicious! I had the pork bone soup with plain rice, it was A LARGE PORTION AND flavorful. I slept afterwards, woke up and came back for MORE few hours later (no judging here...the food was good). I had chicken wings and fries. They were crispy and addictive. Topped that with the mango slush drink..now that was the perfect refreshing treat. The staff at Go Place Spa were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. They made sure I had everything I needed throughout my visit. The spa was immaculately clean (there is alwahs someone around cleaning). This organization has a clear focus on providing a hygienic and comfortable environment. The robes, slippers, and towels were plush and luxurious, and the shower and changing facilities were spotless. Furthermore, I was blown away by the range of amenities offered at Go Place Spa. The mani and pedi spa was a lovely surprise, and the computer station was perfect for getting some work done. The sleeping area was cozy and inviting, and I appreciated the drying station for my hair and makeup. My visit to Go Place Spa was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of skilled therapists, delicious food, and luxurious amenities made for a truly wonderful experience. I would highly recommend Go Place Spa to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. I mean it is the perfect destination for anyone seeking a little slice of heaven. Took my gf here for a relaxing spa day after she completed an internship recently. To my knowledge, the prices listed on the site had gone up again (I had asked around from numerous friends about the prices they paid in the past). I think currently, it'll set you back around $90 per person after tax and tip (which is included btw lol). So the price of admission IS kinda borderline for me (between WORTH IT and NOT worth it). I will say, if you're truly there to relax, then you'll EASILY sink like 3 - 4 hrs minimum here without even realizing it. I do agree with the reviewers who've mentioned that they are quite strict with the "uniforms" and I also don't like the fact that they squeeze you for slipper money (can't use your own) INSIDE the changeroom so there's nowhere to escape. The therapy rooms are these huts with ample space inside each one. I do wish they'd install more wrist-activated phone shelves because otherwise you have to carry your electronics with you into the therapy rooms. The infrared beds have sort of an "honour" system going on. Staff try to tell guests to use them for around 20 mins and then rotate out so other ppl can have a lie down. The hot tubs and steam room in the changerooms were fantastic. I had minor, lower back strain that I was recovering from and after sitting against the powerful jets in the hot tub for a good chunk of time, I was able to return a lot of mobility and flexibility to my back. The shower products are also quite premium (L'Occitane En Provence branded products). One oversight I did notice was only ONE shower had shower curtains lol. The rest of them did not haha. Another cool thing they had was the self-dryer for swim trunks. You stick your swimwear or wet clothes in this baby, close the lid for 12 secs and your clothes come out dry. Very convenient! In terms of rating, it's right there for me around 3.5 or 4 stars. Amenities were pretty top notch. Very attentive staff. I would say teetering on overpriced for general admission. Went here on New Year's with my family. I have been here before and both times have been pleasant experiences. It was pretty busy on New Year's so the sauna rooms got full quickly. People were a bit loud at one point so staff should really keep an eye out on that. The infrared lights were probably the busiest too with people staying more than twenty minutes. Overall, the spa is great especially for it being 24 hours, you get to try out all the amenities with that much time. The food is also not too bad, price is okay for the portion size. Love coming to Go Place! However it can get quite busy and sometimes there is a waitlist in effect which is a bit of a bummer. At least there a lot of restaurants to hang out in at First Markham Place while you wait for your turn. Time just flies by when you're in here - we usually spend all day / night in here and leave at 2am - the latest you can leave without getting charged another day. The food is pretty good too. Had a great spa day with mom and sisters for Mother's Day this year! The place is very clean and plenty of staff around to offer assistance anytime you need it. They have everything you need for a relaxing spa day so you just need to bring a bathing suit. The bathrooms have smart bidet toilet. Overall, great relaxing environment to chit chat, benefit from the therapeutic rooms, and sip on our yummy bubble teas and cappuccinos Didn't love the placement of the drains by the pools which were tripping hazards and made me feel the need to assist my mom in and around the pools. The slippers are gross in the pool area and patrons should be able to bring their own nonslip slippers. Food is very reasonably priced, all things considered. If you haven't heard of, or been to this hidden gem in Markham, you must visit! It's quite the 'experience' and apparently Drake visits too ;) I wouldn't even know where to begin by explaining the overall experience, but it's much more than just a day spa although it has the typical amenities, including beauty and nail services, and body treatments. Each room has a unique theme and you can go from one to the next freely (space and time permitting). They do have an on-site restaurant as well as they do not allow outside food and beverages. Part of the charm of this place is that everyone has to wear the same 'uniform' which essential looks like hospital scrubs with shirt and shorts or a robe. They do not allow any outside garments, even footwear. They do have pretty strict guidelines in place, so definitely check the website and read through the FAQs before you go. Just as a heads up, the admission price only includes just that. They try to upsell you on everything from slippers, robes, towels, etc, so again read through the FAQs, because the cost adds up! Essentially you get a wristband when you walk in the door, and every charge is added onto that so you could be left with a substantial bill at the end! They do have complementary products by L'Occitand and Dyson salon tools which is a nice touch! Even more interesting about this place is that you can stay overnight (for an added cost) as it's 24/7! They do have areas where you can stay over, and to be honest, it's cheaper than a hotel in Toronto ! I would not recommend coming on a weekend or a holiday as wait times can be several hours. I went for the first time and here are my pro tips for the next newbies: * Pack moisturizer. * If you bring a water bottle, bring it empty, like at airport security. ((You may be bothered by the environmental impact of lots of small paper cups otherwise.) * Check on the wait-list in the hour before you go and get on early. It said a 90 min wait (20 parties ahead) and we got in ~30 min. * Get the slippers for $4, for piece of mind * My friend suggested doing all the saunas first and then the Jacuzzi, so you're not walking around cold. Agree. * Snag a small towel at each sauna to lay over the pillows inside the saunas. Use your bath towel to lay down on in the saunas. (There are no seats. It's the ground.) * Check in the dining room early for wait-list, so you can eat at your desired time. * Plan to shower there b/c of L'Occitane shower gels, etc. * Last tip: bring a board game if you're coming with friends. Or a book and a noise-cancelling headset if coming on your own. You can really hang out here for hours. (See other reviews to understand the pool and sauna temps, and the environment to expect. Wow. This place is absolutely amazing. You get quite a bang for your buck here too. It is really luxurious and a great solo date, with your partner or friends. The only crappy thing is if you go with someone of the opposite sex, the waters are only in the change rooms. However, there's lots of stuff to do together - getting massages, lounging, eating, or one of the many relaxation rooms. The food was really good, and the services were fantastic. I don't even know how to begin to describe this place. It's like a Disneyland for massage lovers. Admission is around CAD$70 but you add $15 surcharge if you want to stay overnight. If you get dinner or breakfast as well as one of their specialty massages, your bill can come out to $250 or so. Be that as it may, I felt like a million bucks after leaving the place. And that feeling of well-being is priceless. They have a bunch of saunas you can soak in like the salt room. I loved the lava room - the floor is so hot you have to run on tiptoes because it feels like your soles will burn if they stay on the floor too long. There's a cryo chamber where the air is so cold, it'll stimulate your brown fat into mobilising, stimulating your metabolism. I loved the 60-minute deep tissue massage. The masseuse really got into the knots of my muscles and rubbed them into oblivion. I felt like a well-kneaded slab of dough after. My friend who got the same treatment started snoring within minutes of her massage starting. That's how relaxing it was. The food is tasty too. I had a sushi platter for $20 and it was filling. The dining room is open till late so if you have a hankering for anything tasty, they can cater to your palate. They offer dimsum, sushi, Korean dishes and what have you. The showers are well-appointed. They have L'Occitane products at your disposal. If you're not fond of going barefoot in the shower, bring your own rubber slippers to wear during. We slept in one of the infra red beds and had such good rest that we felt totally disoriented when we woke up. The only issue we had was that passers-by tended to be noisy as they walked. The activity died down at around 6am. That's when everyone had gone to bed. I can't wait to do this experience again with family and friends. What better way to bond than by going for a night of R&R? A place where you can relax and stay for hours long. There are six therapy rooms and one area designated for infrared red. Upon arrival you check-in and present a government issued photo identification card. Each guest will be given a numbered bracelet that assigns to your shoe cubby and locker. You do a quick bag check and head up to the escalator. Shoes must be removed and have the option to purchase slippers. You are greeted and given a set of clothing (top and bottom) to change. The bath house consist of jacuzzi baths however they are broken and doesn't work. We spent 8+ hours at Go Place. You have the ability to leave the facility (one time only) and may return back within two hours without having to pay another admission fee. If you do decide to leave and return back, you must pay your bill prior. I saw guests bringing their own personal laptop or tablets to do work, study, gaming and/or watch shows. We also booked a massage and facial. The massage was amazing. My masseuse Jade was exceptional. Skip the facials, they're not worth it. I hope they will fix the jacuzzi spas. Best to go during the weekdays in the morning. I did notice in the morning they play a soothing relax music in the background. Such a great place to unwind and relax! Everything is extremely luxurious and they focus on service. I initially thought this was a typical Korean spa, but learned that it's not when I got there (perhaps Chinese). 10/10 I would return even though it's $65 CAD. It's located in the FMP plaza which is jam packed with restaurants, grocery store, convenience stores, boba shops, and more! So expect parking to be difficult to find. It took me 15 mins to get parking on a Friday afternoon. Overall experience: - As you enter the facility and check in, you're already welcomed by the grand entrance. You check in and given a card to enter through security (yes, they check your bags). You'll pay for everything at the end. - Going up to the changing room (men's and women's are separated), you're greeted by a staff member at almost every turn so you'll never be lost. You'll drop off your shoes and then into the changing room where you'll get a set of lounge clothes to wear. - The changing room includes hot tubs and steam room. Here, it's different than your typical Korean spa because at Go Place, you'll wear swim suits. It's optional, but everyone there had on swim suits. Tip: you can bring your own or buy one for $15 CAD - Dining was pretty good. The food wasn't spectacular but tasty enough to be satisfied. The prices were well priced IMO (pork katsu and udon for $14.99 CAD). You have to make reservations first and they get busy, so I suggest making reservations asap if you're hungry. You can order drinks (coffee, soda, boba) in the general lounging area - General lounging is super nice! There are different sections to lounge as well as different hot room (like Korean spa). My partner and I came here on a Monday for our anniversary and it was a great experience. We started off with the saunas which had different levels of temperature and humidity. Next we got a relaxation massage and Aida was really good. At the restaurant, there were admittedly few items that I really wanted and they were sold out of dim sum, but the unagi rice was impressively good. We spent some more time in the saunas and the lounge chairs and overall it was a super relaxing experience. The only qualm I had was in the infrared light room, which stunk of smelly feet and had several people loudly talking inside. I would definitely come back here to spend the day! read more

On our trip to Toronto, we decided to check out Go Place. We opted to go on a weekday when we were told it would be less crowded. We did not make any spa appointments. The website is very clear on what their facilities provide and what you need. Bring your ID to check in. And yes, the hot tub/ sauna areas are divided by gender. Everything else is co-ed. First, it's about a 40 minute drive from city of Toronto (with traffic) but easy to find. There is a large parking lot and it's next to a large Asian Grocery Store (lots of snack options there that we don't have in the US so take a look). When you check in, you are given a wristband with a locker number. You pay when you check out. And security did check our bags. The only clothing items you can use of your own is a swim suit. After security, you go through and upstairs. The escalator wasn't working and the regular stairs are steep. There is an elevator around a corner though. Your locker number also is the number for your shoe cubby. There are staff members to walk you through everything if needed. After that you go to the locker room area and they give you spa wear. Sizes range up to 6x we were told. I think the regular spa wear is sized down and the larger spa wear which is a thick bathrobe consistency requires a deposit which you get back when you return it. I did have to ask for a larger outfit which actually is more comfortable. Slippers are not included but you can buy a pair there. I love that everything is cashless and through the wristband. There are several different rooms and areas. Like infrared, salt, and ice. My favorite was the ice room. A surprising highlight was the food they offer. I'm always skeptical about places where you have to buy their food. They have a sushi chef onsite. The menu is largely Asian inspired but there are wings and fries as options as well. The pork katsu was a favorite! The one negative (for me) is the workout area. It's nicely set up with good looking equipment but you are not allowed to use your own workout clothes or shoes. You have to borrow sneakers from them (kind of like a bowling alley) and workout in your spa wear. I didn't ask but maybe you can request a new set after working out. It would make more sense to have this area set up by the locker rooms so people could change if they wished. We had booked an appointment before we got to Canada & went there after dropping luggage at hotel. They accommodated us to get in earlier entry than we had expected, most of the staff were super friendly & very courteous in educating us about utilizing facilities. The heat rooms were fantastic, I fell asleep during my massage & felt all my tensions & muscle knots gone by time they were done but I don't remember most the massage & I think that was a good thing. Did the different hot baths & cold showers & closed out with the cold rooms. The in th food was the only thing that was just mediocre in my opinion but I would still highly recommend this spa in terms of price, cleanliness, comfort & customer service. Had some rolls, chicken wings & they were just ok but the cocktails were definitely 10/10. 1 employees seemed a bit assh%#^ish but he seemed an exceptional to the rule & I decided to not let him take me out the beautiful experience I had. I put my shoes in a locker which was very clean and scented. I headed to another desk and was given pajamas. I also paid extra for the slippers. The lockers are very clean and employees there are often seen cleaning. There are multiple jacuzzi with different temperatures, 3 hot ones and one cold one. There is also a steam room and a water dispenser, all L'occitane brand The showers have shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Towels are provided. The vanity area has a dyson blow dryer and hand cream. The place is beautifully decorated and spacious. There are multiple salt rooms at different temperatures, a fitness center, computer area, yoga and nap room. The cafe has delicious foods. You can rent games or buy a deck of cards. Blown away by how clean and luxurious this spa was. There were four jacuzzis with varying temps, a couple massage jets, cold shower, and sauna. The shower and makeup room were stocked with Loccitaine products and Dyson hair dryers. The common areas have board game rentals, multiple hot rooms, a computer room, a restaurant (with full dinner options, but boba seemed like the way to go), and huge reclining seat-beds. Attentive staff and wonderful experience. Would highly recommend. This is my nth time coming to GoPlace. The first few times, they were the same experiences as everyone else. I was able to properly enjoy all the sauna (hot and cold) rooms, the restaurant (it's not that much more expensive than outside) is alright, and the service wasn't top-notch--some employees can be a bit aggressive, just like the staff you find in Asian grocery stores (chastising me for asking for one more towel? Really?). You don't really get what you pay for if you only stay for a few hours. However, for my last visit, I actually decided to purchase a few spa services and I was quite underwhelmed. First of all, it was impossible to communicate because they did not answer the phone and did not answer emails quickly either, when asked, it was due to the spa being "busy", no apologies. There's also a clear price increase of $15 for the entry fee. For the price I paid for these treatments, I was expecting to feel relaxed but I did not feel anything at all. The masseuse did not apply pressure and they left out/missed many important steps for the treatments (which I expected them not to, given the price). I was disappointed and surprised about this. I also found out that they did budget cuts because a lot of the amenities in the men's change room were missing. Let me not forget the broken escalator lol but that's not important. The jacuzzis are broken a lot too. The entry attendant was not there a lot of the times. So, I probably won't come back here again. It's nice for a one-visit type of thing, but... Pros: - great place close to the city to relax - 24 hours is nice - food has improved, tasted amazing, great you can order food to any table or within the restaurant (faves are sushi, teriyaki, smoothies or bubble tea) and its fast - variety of rooms hot and cold are so nice - variety of spaces to work + also play board games or do something else - large women's section for cold waterfall or hot tubs is nice Cons: - change rooms in womens section is tight (I assume to fit a lot of lockers) - busy on weekends (make sure to arrive in the morning to not wait) - cost of everything is high (pay for entry, service fee, food / drinks, slippers and more) - regular massages are "ok" but for their cost I prefer the massage chairs costing $6 or so (so good for 20 minutes) - which enclose every muscle group - steam room in womens section is dirty (but generally go place is pretty clean) read more

Woke up at 6 am to go to GO place for the entire day until 8 pm. To be honest I'm adding this place to my list of places I would go to if I got into an argument with my future husband. If he's ever looking for me tell him at GO place sleeping there for the night. GO place is open 24 hrs and you can stay there overnight for a $15 surcharge on top of the admission fee. For the price of $68.95, you get access to 7 saunas and therapy rooms. I tried out all of them and my favourites would be the amethyst room and jade room. The amethyst room was the perfect temperature just to lie down and relax. The jade room was the perfect temperature to sweat it out without torturing yourself too much. However, the volcanic rock room was actually WAY WAY too hot for me the floor was actually lava and even the mats in the room were burnt. The service is also very generous from the moment we walked into the building and were greeted in the lobby. As for the food it was super delicious and they had a lot of variety. The price points for the food were very similar to a Chinese restaurant in Toronto. My sister and I went with my mom and her group of friends. We shared all the dishes together. The food we ordered: - Sushi Combo $20.99 (My favourite) -Sausage Fried Noodles $13.99 -Fries $5.99 (Another of my favourites, tasted like Costco fries yummy) -Black Sesame Ice Cream $3.99 (FYI this is one really small scope of ice cream with two sticks of pocky and a strawberry) -Pork Chop Rice with Lemongrass $15.99 (My sister's favourite) -Seafood Noodles $20.99 The bathrooms are also very clean and tidy. They have bidets in the bathroom stalls to the left and there are toilet seat covers. The soap also smells super amazing. Overall you are paying for the services of a luxury spa and it is super clean. I did not have a chance to go in the jacuzzis but I will next time! I recommend this place if you want to go out with some friends to relax and treat yourselves. The place itself is super clean and they have a lot of workers constantly cleaning and tidying all day. A COUPLE OF TIPS!! - The reclining chairs have phone chargers on the left arm of the chairs. So if you are in the quiet room taking a nap charge your phones while you sleep. - If you would like a blanket just ask the person at the service desk near the staircases. -There is a 12% service charge added to your bill from the restaurant - They have little cubby areas for you to put your phone and other belonging in outside the saunas. I finally got to experience Go Place Spa over the weekend and enjoyed it. From entry to service, everything felt premium. They give you a wristband and complimentary spa outfits during your stay, and you can use the wristband to unlock your locker and even order food and services, all billed to you when you exit. They have a couple of robot servers delivering drinks which is pretty cool. There's an entrance fee of $65, which has increased by another $15~ since last year. However, if you order a 10-pack, it's around $50. I heard there's also a birthday deal on the week of your birthday; if you come during the weekday and bring three guests, your entry is free. Multiple rooms from various cold to hot temperatures. Very soothing but also hard to distance if that matters to you. My favourite is the one with crystal stone walls. There are board games you can check out in the lounge area, a gym and billiards. The place opens 24hrs so you can stay all night too as there are comfy couches for you to sleep on. The food and drinks are reasonably priced. We enjoyed our sushi and rose/lychee tea we had there. Unlike the other reviews that mention some sort of language barrier, I had no issues with communicating with the staff in English. I did purchase RMT massage for deep tissue. They made a point to tell me they only had male massage therapist available and whether it's okay. I didn't mind about gender as long as they are good and the massage was great! The only damper to the experience is the washrooms and hot tubs on the women's side are not that clean. You can see red bacteria growth on the side of the tub from it being constantly moist there. The restroom near the women's change room is smelly and we have a phobia of stepping into a wet toilet stall bare feet. However, we used the washroom on the third floor where they provide the massage services, it's much cleaner, dry floors and well maintained. They don't offer you slippers by default, so you need to pay extra. They do provide some premium shower supplies from L'Occitane though. Overall 3.5 stars due to the cleanliness of some spaces but would still love to visit again. read more
