I'm so surprised that I've never written a review for this place. I've been coming here for years and it seems to get better and better over time. I noticed in the last two years, all staff are working hard to ensuring you have the best experience from start to finish. Both my daughter and I have birthdays in May so we came for a visit today to obtain their special offer of a complimentary 3-course $50 lunch, any Monday to Friday with our purchase of a spa service valued at $150 or more. And if you have insurance coverage for RMT massage, your visit is practically free other than paying for tips! Their RMT massage services are a bit pricey but we really like that the spa service includes a visit to their Water Therapy area. They also have a good offer to pre-pay 5 massages (series program) to obtain 20% off. This is a really good offer and if you make 4 visits during the year, you qualify to becoming one of their exclusive membership in the following year which gives you perks like 10% or 15% off on spa services. The RMT massages that I've had here were always excellent and the facility is very spacious and clean. There is a jacuzzi in both men's and women's change room and a steam room in the women's change room. There is also a Water Therapy area with a small pool, jacuzzi and steam room for men and women to relax together but you are limited to 55 mins. The dining room is very comfortable with excellent service and great food! If possible, try to make a visit on a weekday as it is much nicer when it is not extremely busy. I'm going to preface that I'm a bit of a spa snob so I come with very high expectations. There were many things that bothered me about my experience today that I think could use improving. 1) Check in process: Nobody greeted me when I entered the lobby. It was my first time so I was not sure how to check in. I understand the two ladies were occupied helping other customers choose products from the store, but a small acknowledgement would've been nice such as "Welcome, we'll be with you in a moment". I used to work in customer service so I understand its not an easy job but you also have to provide the best experience possible if you want people to come back. 2) Changing room: The gal who explained the changing room talked so fast, I barely understood her instructions. It was as if she wanted to be done with the task asap. 3) People were loud. I understand that people come here in groups or with their partner so whispering is expected. But while doing water therapy, everybody and their mom was talking at normal level. I understand this is kinda out of the business' control but maybe a way to help mitigate this is actually explain to people about a whisper policy before they enter the area. 4) The check in process for services is very unorganized. I got a massage and facial, and each time, I checked in with someone. Then sit at waiting area. And then like, several workers would come out like clockwork asking if XYZ is here. And 9/10 times, they weren't. So what's the point of checking in? Wouldn't it be better to come out asking if you see that person has checked in? It doesn't make for a relaxing spa experience. 5) I didn't appreciate the facial product upsell at the end. I actually have very good skin, I get complimented on it all the time. Heck, even my masseuse today said it to me today. So when my facial person recommended a $120 facial serum at the end, I was shocked. She clearly was just trying to sell a product that I didn't need. I get plenty of facials and not once, has anyone ever upsell products to me. The only reason I didn't give one star was because my masseuse was amazing. He was the only redeeming quality of my whole experience here. Tell me how I left a spa feeling more stressed than when I entered? I pay to go to spas to feel more relaxed afterwards, not stressed. I will disclose that I am a bit of a spa aficionado . I have gone to spas ranging from inexpensive to five star all over the world in my travels. I received a gift certificate for services at Elmwood spa and this was my experience: 1. I was encouraged many times to book online, but there was no way for me to indicate that I had a gift certificate, or to input the gift certificate in my registration process. 2. When I finally got frustrated and had to call in, the service I received over the phone was less than warm and welcoming. It took three tries calling in to get someone to call me back, and when they finally did, their tone seemed irritated. 3. Upon arrival to the spa, Elm St. was completely closed, and construction was happening on almost every street around the spa. It was next to impossible to find parking anywhere... I wish that as an added courtesy, whoever I booked in with would have told me that the street was closed off. 4. Most of the staff seemed friendly as I checked in. However, there were a few people that seemed incredibly irritated every time I had to ask for anything. They asked if I needed a tour of the facilities as I had never been there before and I said yes. They just sort of waved their arm in a general direction and said all of this area is the change room. Instructions for the lockers are inside the locker door. And then they walked away. I had to ask a few times where I was going or where certain amenities were as the spa is spread out over three floors and is a bit confusing. Every time I had to ask anyone for anything I was looked at like I was a moron, and answered to in a similar tone. I was at the spa alone, but had conversations with a few of the other people attending as they were having the same experience. 5. The one saving grace was the person who gave me my massage. He was excellent and very kind. If it weren't for him, this rating would be lower. I wish I had a different experience as I was really looking forward to relaxing during this booking. The majority of my time spent there was spent feeling like I was less than, and I did not feel relaxed as a result. Many of the employees were nice, but I think it was the inconsistency of the ones who looked at me like I was a piece of shit made my overall experience one that made me not want to return to this establishment. read more

They should not be allowed to call what they have here "water therapies". There is: - a tiny pool, the equivalent of what you'd find in the basement of a 2 star motel - a steam room that literally does not produce steam - a hot tub that only fits 2 people. Especially great when during your visit, a couple decides its their own personal hot tub and spends a full hour in it with some aggressive PDA. The amenities are also just not well thought out. There are zero hooks to hang towels in the pool area, so you leave in on your chair and walk around soaking wet. Then your chair is soaking wet. There is also not enough chairs for all the guests they allow into the pool area. I know the behavior of the guests is out of the spas control but.....wow. People weren't just talking, they were shouting. Literally groups shouting conversations at each other from opposite ends of the waters room. Also multiple people recording videos in the pool and the change room?? Extremely uncomfortable to be in your bathing suit (or changing??) and end up in the backgound of someones photo or video. And this was on a Monday...I can't imagine how much worse it must be on a weekend. Maybe a reminder from staff at check-in that this is a spa, not a community pool? I don't know. If you want real water therapy and a day of relaxation, there are tons of better options in the city. If you want pathetic excuses for a pool and steam, soaking wet chairs that youre lucky to even snag, people shout talking at each other like you're at the community pool, and groups of wannabe influencers making videos in every corner, then enjoy your time at Elmwood! read more

I spent a day at the spa as part of a Christmas gift I received. Unfortunately due to a transit issue I was late which ate into my time. My first time here. The changing room attendant was very short-asked about the locker"it's written on there how to do lock it". Ok. ..changing rooms? "It's all women" indicating to me No changing rooms. Went to my locker-only one available was at the hair station. She is nice enough Go to lunch! It was a special..book services and get a lunch included. Three courses Order asparagus and Roma tomato salad. It's the woody part of asparagus and hot house tomatoes. I didn't eat it. Manager brings me fries. Weird choice as I ordered greens and fish. BUT..they were delicious!! And a nice gesture! I ate all of them. Fish came and it was ok. Not great but ok. Would have eaten I it but I was full from the fries. Skipped the desert. Bill came. Charged for lunch. I explained Then a different server shows up stating loudly she knows what i booked and it doesn't include lunch and I need to pay. I tell her I won't and she needs to check the appointment. It was my first time at a spa, as this was given to me as a birthday experience. I must say it was def nice and relaxing (since I would never pamper myself like this, even if I'd like to). The massage was great, and the masseuse made me feel comfortable and asked me if there was a certain body part that I would like to have more pressure on. The spa experience also came with a food voucher, which was a surprise to me! With that being said, I enjoyed my food a lot! I didn't expect that it would be good quality food, since it's not the place you'd think of when you want to get fancy food or dessert. It was mine and my husband's first time here. I had been meaning to visit for about a year or so. The amount paid is pretty high for a deep tissue massage BUT the massage therapists for the couple's massage were great. We also got to enjoy the water therapy, which is essentially a place with a pool, steam room and jet hot tub. We also ordered something to nibble on whilst in the water therapy area. We ordered a cheese plate and mango lassi. The mango lassi waa NOT a lassi AND it made our stomachs were extremely upset! And a lassi is mostly yogurt and milk with either sugar, or in this case, mango juice/pulp etc. However they gave an extremely sweet mango puree with a little bit of yogurt. The cheese plate was also DANGEROUS BECAUSE in the description it failed to state that they have PECANS (which i am allergic to!!) And that is extremely dangerous! And should be stated . I was unable to eat most because the pecans were in contact with most items on the plate so i couldn't touch or eat that. And the order came so late that we didn't have time to reorder and had to continue for our massages. The spa itself is a large 4 level building and was really relaxing and beautiful! This was my first real experience at a spa. I have wanted to go for a long time, and was delighted when my boyfriend got me a gift certificate for my birthday. I checked the website for the spa menu and noticed that I could get a free 3 course meal at the restaurant within 7 days of my birthday. I called right away and booked my day at the spa. Since I was booking kind of last minute, there weren't many spots open - even for a weekday. However, I was able to fit in everything I wanted to do. I started off with lunch on the terrace. I ordered the appetizer tasting trio, grilled salmon and fruit trio for dessert. It was very relaxing to be in my robe, and I didn't feel rushed at all. I enjoyed my meal and sat with a book while I finished my glass of wine. The food was excellent with beautiful flavours and presentation. I was surprised that it was only $29 to add it to any treatment regularly. After lunch I went to the pool and hot tub to enjoy some water therapies before my Sea Flora Detox Wrap. This area was unisex. I spent a bit of time in the hot tub, then in the pool, and just relaxing in the chairs reading a magazine. Next was my detox wrap. Although a bit pricey, I would highly recommend this body treatment. You get a little bit of everything in 100 mins, and it was very enjoyable. Afterwards, I spent some time in the women's change room for some more water therapies. I prefer them there than the unisex area. There was a beautiful hot tub and sauna. I ended the day with the Elmline Soothing & Repair Spa Facial. I had never had a facial before. This one felt nice at times, but I also felt like I was getting a bit of a lecture. Great spa with a birthday special going on. Wife had been here before and there was a promotion where she can bring a guest for a massage and get 2 free lunches. I believe they offer free birthday lunches normally also. Arrived at 2:30 for a late lunch and the restaurant was completely packed. Waited a few minute before being seated. Simple menu and went with the fried calamari, fried cauliflower as apps, the beef and duck as main. Finished with the chocolate torte and cheesecake as dessert. Everything was tasty especially the desserts. Only downside was the lunch took awhile and we were late for our 4pm massage. We were told that the therapists are aware of the volume at the restaurant and will adjust the time. But that did not happen as our 50 minute massage was more like 35 minute massages as we were done at the 4:50 mark, even though we didn't get into the massage until 4:10: 4:15. Check-in at the front desk was pleasant and friendly. The pool and steam room was also good, heated pool and great steam. I was able to book this spa 2 days beforehand, which was great. I booked a couples massage with water therapy and two mini facials. The massages were 50 minutes each and were great. As for the water therapy that is included, it was ok. I can do without it and if you are solely paying for this, I dont recommend it. They have a pool, a small jacuzzi that only holds a maximum of 4 people and steam room. I feel like the water therapy is not very relaxing, especially if there is a lot of people. You'll have to wait for people to get out of the steam room and small jacuzzi. The mini facials were super quick, 20 minutes and thats it. I just felt everything was so rushed and they were pushing people in and out quickly. Thus, it wasnt as relaxing as a spa day should be, just making money quickly like a mill. Hence, this is the reason why I am giving it 3 stars. I will not return here for these reasons, because it wasnt as relaxing as I expected it to be. I recommend other spa locations. read more

This is such an amazing and beautiful spa! Came here to celebrate my birthday and treat myself! And it is so great because if you book during your birthday month and order $150 or more in services you get a lunch for free! For lunch I had the steak and the daily special cheesecake (it was caramel that day). The steak was well seasoned and perfectly medium rare, and the cheesecake they put a candle in it! That was a very sweet touch, and the cheesecake was creamy, sweet and went well with the caramel sauce! I love the facilities so much, especially the giant jacuzzi tub in the women's change room! That is one of the best parts! Booked a December spa day for my wife in October and prepaid for it. Night before our treatments got a call from Elmwood saying they had to cancel one of our treatments due to an employee travelling outside the country and now quarantining. Understood the rough circumstances and told them to cancel mine, making sure my wife still got the full experience. Woman on phone then offered me multiple substitutes only to announce they were all fully booked, something she should have checked before calling. Ultimately she said my treatment was definitely cancelled but they'd figure something out when we came the next morning. Arrived the next morning and nothing was said about cancelled treatment, not even a refund until I brought it up, let alone a substitute. We were separated and rushed off to our first treatments where the aesthetician was incredibly rude to my wife. The only reason this review isn't a 1 is because of how excellent my massage was. After my massage, my masseuse recommended asking desk on third floor if there was any availability in pool/whirlpool/steam room. I did, they my told me to go to second floor. Second floor told me to to to front desk. Felt like I was just being passed off and shuffled along. Rather than end up in lobby I decided to use steam room in locker room during what should have been a facial. My wife still had several treatments left in her day, usually accompanied by a large family party of 12 and several other couples (she asked why I was the only one who'd been cancelled when there were so many parties but nobody would tell her anything). After I left the steam room to head home, 3 employees (hall way attendant, juice bar, desk beside elevator) all told me I had to check out with front desk before leaving the building so I made sure to do that and get my refund. 2 hours later when my wife was waiting for her pedicure to dry, the aesthetician recommended she wait at the juice bar. They refused to serve her any drinks since our bill had already been closed when I checked out, as I was repeatedly instructed to do. The staff were rude to her, not offering any alternatives, just told she wasn't allowed anything from juice bar except tap water. Will never be returning to elmwood spa, despite the wonderful massage, due to the terrible customer service. read more

I called this place the night before since a friend bought me a gift card but I didn't receive the gift card purchase email. The woman on the phone seemed rude and wouldn't even let me finish my sentence. She kept interrupting. She finally told me she'd call me back since her computer system was down and when the call came back, another woman was so polite and told me everything was good to go! Loved my experience at this place. The decor is so beautiful and this place is JI-normous! The customer service was impeccable. Every floor I arrived at, they knew my name and almost knew my entire itinerary (where I was scheduled to go next, as I had purchased the Revival Retreat 6 hour spa package for the day). I was given an itinerary as well which had some gaps in there for me to do as I pleased (i.e. go back to Water Therapy). The Locker Room: Choose the larger lockers. The small ones won't hold anything but your purse. What's that triangle wooden thing in there? Can't believe it's got a hot tub in the change room. But didn't see anyone using it. Thanks for having curlers, straighteners and blow dryers in there. But the straighter was pretty bad quality. Water Therapy: If you want to be the only one in there, go at 10am. The pool and hot tub were standard but the steam room (went there twice) had a timer, it was beautiful with marble and I loved my time in there. I'd recommend going there prior to your facial. I got hungry at this time since they scheduled my lunch to be at 2:30pm even though I came at 9:30am!!! So I ordered a snack that wouldn't fill me up too much since I was about to have my 3 course meal. I got the hummus with chips and cucumbers even though I was tempted to have their 3 cheese board. Hot Stone Massage: My masseuse was Thong (Anthony or Tony). He was talkative, personable and cracked jokes. But also stopped talking so I could relax which was nice. The Hot Stone Massage was incredible. Never tried it before this but it felt like heat waves going up and down my body. Anthony was sweet enough to write me a little Happy Birthday note quickly. Oxygen Facial: I hit up the steam room before this so I could sweat out my toxins for my facial (brilliant idea on my part). Lora did my facial and made no reservations about how dry my skin was. She gave me advice and I was kind of scared of her rigidness about the condition of my skin. The mask she put on me felt so thick, yet so incredible. She'll ask if you want it on your eyes (I said yes - but don't do it if you're claustrophobic because she'll leave you in the room by yourself for a few minutes while it's drying up). The Oxygen part just felt like water spraying on you. I've got compliments on how glowy my face looked the next day at work - this Oxygen Facial did something right! Apparently it exfoliates. 3 Course Lunch: Our server was Mitchel who was so attentive, patient and polite. I know they were short-staffed that day, but he didn't show his high stress levels a bit! App: Chef's Daily Soup Creation with Bread. It was a squash soup that tasted great. Main Course Lunch: Vegetarian Tacos: I asked for these to be spicy and even though they made the sauce with chilli flakes, it didn't work. I was hoping of some jalapenos - after all they are tacos! Wasn't a fan of these; unfortunately this was the only vegetarian main course on the menu. Dessert: Panna Cotta was great! Mani/Pedi Had Loralee. The sweetest person! She was quiet, but also knows how to make small convo. She's a reserved personality but still made my experience enjoyable. She was sweet enough to drop in a few little treats in a Elmwood Gift Bag when she learned it was my birthday. =) Overwall, I feel they really need to upgrade their restaurant menu quality. Hence the 4 stars. The entire experience at Elmwood was amazing, but unfortunately the food at the restaurant didn't peak an interest. Hi I have been coming to Elmwood spa for years and I have to say this is the first time I have had such an awful massage. I asked him to apply more pressure and he didn't listen to me. I also felt that his English language was lacking somewhat. I expected you to at least put me with a therapist that has a good communication of English since that is the language, I advised you that I speak and understand He didn't seem to know what a real massage was. I asked him to lower the pillow on my legs and he got stroppy and removed it. I only asked for it to be lowered which I had to repeat several times. Your charging customers $200 for a massage that could be done better by a 5-year-old. This is totally unacceptable. I made my disappointment known to the receptionist and she revealed he is new. As a customer who has been committed to using your spa for years, I expect to get a properly experienced massage therapist especially since that is what I requested. My birthday was at the end of July but it's been a busy summer so today we celebrated today at the Elmwood Spa. We've been there before many times and like it. We started off with "water therapies". Then we had a couples bamboo massage. I'd never had one before. Hot bamboo sticks are used in addition to hands. It felt like a hot stone massage ... it was nice :) Valentino did a great job and I was so relaxed afterwards. And you're telling me you have registered massotherapists? Have you ever vetted them by having them do a massage on you? Or do you just hire based on a certificate? I had an unbelievable time! My sister bought me a package and honestly I need this every couple months at the least. Ronald was my masseuse and I swear from here on in, that if I am to come back I am requesting him personally. I had Adrianna for my citrus facial; she gave me great advise, was very honest, friendly... especially considering I'm breaking out soooo badly, didn't feel one ounce of discomfort or embarrassment. I was a little confused with the water therapy part, but again was blown away. Clean and nice pool (I was a lifeguard so I can guarantee!) I didn't test the hot tub but went in the steam room for 15 mins and was so relaxing. It's a whisper zone, very relaxing. The last part of the day was the three course lunch. I was at first sceptical of the portions but after finishing everything I realized not only was it a fantastic meal, but very filling and worth every cent. My waiter, forgive me for forgetting his name (I even asked) had great customer service and answered all my questions. All I can say is this spa is worth your time and money. I visited the Elmwood spa for the first time last week for my friend's birthday. Pros: Received the best massage ever .. Margaret was my RMT.. request her if you can There is a whirlpool and steam room inside the women's change room and the same facilities can be found on a separate floor along with a pool. Loved the Moroccan oil products in the change room showers and locker area but almost every tub was empty - REFILL!. Liked that they had straighteners and blow dryers but 1 of each isn't enough when you have several women! Cons: The washrooms are a joke. There is no space to move in them and they seriously need to invest in self flushing toilets! In need of a renovation indeed. Biggest complaint: We had a reservation for lunch (my friend's birthday lunch) at 2pm - we were starving after the water therapies and the massage.. we had to wait 30 MINUTES before we were seated .. and this was after bugging the staff numerous times to get us seated. We saw people who came in after us get seated. This was unacceptable. The wood was mediocre. I will NEVER be eating here again. As others mention, come here for the water therapies and the spa services. Skip on the food and go treat yourself at Terroni down the street. Peace out! read more

By far the worst massage ive ever had, it was like sue was tickeling me for an hr - facilities smell and were outdated - no dry sauna -no cold tub - old towels and robes (some with holes) - lounge chairs are cheap outdoor lawn furniture - facility is tiny - i asked many times to push harder during the massage and was told she was doing her best ( @$150.00 an hr) I will never return to this sewer of a spa with their garbage massages! After having come to Elmwood for more than 5 visits, I can comment on a few areas of improvement. My original review still stands (beautiful space, change rooms are well lit, love the jacuzzi inside the changerooms, etc), but some additional experiences that make the spa experience less zen-like. First, the specials and the discounts are so numerous they make my head spin. Between the birthday treat that can't be used with the spa passport, the spa passport that can't be used with another discount, the other discount that can't be used on services less than $$, the days they can't be used, the gift cards, the coupon codes, etc. etc. Goodness! I spend about 5 minutes checking out each time, with tons of time spent checking and double-checking my restrictions! Too complicated! I always love a deal, but when the fine print reads like the Tax Act, it kinda takes away from the spa feeling. Another thing is that due to the larger size of the spa, on a busy week (like March Break), there were so many people that I could hear the chatter through the door. Again, when I'm paying top shelf prices, I come to expect a certain experience. I feel more relaxed in the changerooms than in the therapy rooms, at this point! read more

I've been meaning to try Elmwood for a few years, so when an opportunity to visit arose recently, I didn't hesitate to book. Overall based on my experience, I'd like to return for another spa day. The experience was definitely elevated and there was great attention to detail as soon as I checked in. However, the space does run the risk of crowding, so if you're visiting with the intent of using a specific space, it's a matter of luck (as to whether it's crowded or not). If you're flexible and comfortable moving around as needed, you will probably enjoy your visit more than if you want to stay in a particular area. It IS expensive here, but many of the massage services are covered with insurance; just be sure to note your request when booking. The only odd element of my experience here was their system was down, and I didn't receive my RMT receipt for a couple of days. Not a big deal, but I did have to send them a reminder. read more

I had a great experience here at Elmwood. I'm honestly kind of surprised with some of the lower rating reviews I see below. Regarding the cleanliness, It's nice and clean on the outside & inside - staff maintains and ensure that floors are mopped, towels are picked up etc. I got the spa package which included a facial, massage, mani pedi & extra time to just chill in the whirlpool/steam room. Nothing felt rushed, staff were very helpful and friendly (Offering tea/water after every service). Simply amazing. Coming here is like an oasis just steps from the subway station. Staff are very professional, courteous and knowledgable. Every detail is is taken into consideration and done and done perfectly starting from the check in. Upon check in, they offer you out a hot, minty towel to wipe your sweaty, oily face. Oh I know about your sweaty face, this is Toronto, we all work very hard. Then they give you your treatment details - your therapists name, which room you're in and your locker floor. The washroom is incredibly clean. They provide bath robes, towel and slippers to make you comfortable during your stay. Shower and go to the water therapy. Close your eyes by the pool to listen to suiting music or dip in the salted pool. The choice is yours. If you're with a group, the jacuzzi is a fun place to stay for a bit. Heck, go there even you're by yourself :). Yeah know. There's a steam room in the water therapy section and inside the shower area - doesn't matter where you'll access it... make sure you go there after the treatment... it's sooo relaxing. Did I mention that it's clean? Whatever you choose to do before or after your treatment make sure you grab a (complimentary) tea, apple or flavored water. But a spa will not survive without great therapists - Elmwood has EXCELLENT line up of therapists. Really concerned for your health and not just your wallet. I'll say 3.5 STARS. Elmwood Spa is somewhere you want to go and treat yourself! A beautiful spa located on Elm Street, this spa excels on customer service - that part is definitely 5 Stars. From the moment you step into the beautiful lobby, the receptionist greets you with a warm towel to wash you hands to helping you fill out their electronic medical form right up to the staff on the different floors that show you how the spa works, where to find towels, how the lockers work etc (and they show you, they just don't point in a general direction). The ladies change rooms have both open area for changing and more private areas if you are shy. There is also a heated whirlpool in here that is just for the ladies - that's a nice touch. Out on the floor there is another heated whirlpool that both men and women use. The pool is also here as well as some seating (the seating is a bit limited if it gets packed on a weekend). There is also a small space off to the whirlpool that reminds me of sitting in a solarium. I went here for a massage so came early to use the waters. The pool and the whirlpool is a bit smaller than the one at the Four Seasons, but on a weekday it is fine. I'm sure on a weekend it might be a bit crowded. My massage was nice, however the walls are pretty thin so I could hear sounds from the outside. Also when my masseur was for example getting oils to washing her hands it was done not in a quiet way so the clank clank clank noise was a bit disturbing. I just want as much silence as possible to relax and felt I couldn't really relax. There is a restaurant attached to the spa so you can grab lunch here if you wish. There is also a juice bar located on the 2nd floor I believe so you can power up if need be. There are flavoured waters and teas located throughout the spa. To be honest, I'm glad I tried the spa but I think I prefer the Four Seasons or the Shangri-La over Elmwood, but that being said check their website as they often have deals and monthly promotions. Went to Elmwood for the first time a couple of Sunday's ago. Right by Dundas Station, Elmwood is in a convenient location. They have two restaurants on site, but there are also a number of eateries/restaurants around the spa. A friend got me a gift card and I wanted to use it before I forgot about it. I wouldn't visit Elmwood on a weekly basis, but it's definitely a great place to go to once in a while as a nice treat for yourself. Navigating their site, I saw all the services that Elmwood offers and I'm not going to lie - I was a little overwhelmed. Luckily their staff were extremely helpful over the phone and took the time to answer all my questions. With most services, you get access to water therapies (steam room, hot tub, and swimming pool), which was a nice touch to my visit. I went for the 50 minute citrus body scrub - a great choice as my skin is still soft! Following my scrub, I had a relaxing massage done by an RMT (Monica). Just a couple of tips: - Bath robe, sandals, and towel are provided (I'm a n00b and brought it from home) - The change rooms have digital locks - Anything purchased (i.e.) drinks, food are added to your bill that you pay for after your service(s) Can't wait to return! I'm sitting here right now in the spa wondering why in the heck I spent my money here. Just do yourself a favour and go to the spa at the four seasons. I was really looking forward to a relaxing day to unwind and have some me time, but so far it is nothing of this nature. The water therapies area is supposed to be a whisper zone however other individuals seem to be chatting it up and laughing loudly. The staff seems to do nothing to enforce the whisper rule. It feels like I'm at a local community centre. I feel more stressed after being here. If this is your first spa experience maybe you'll be satisfied, however for the seasoned spa goers don't even bother. read more

This is my first visit to Elmwood Spa and I am happy to say its well worth the money spent. I came on Wednesday mid-day and had the three course lunch along with a 50 minute Shiatsu massage with free entitlement to the Water Therapies. The Water Therapies and steam room was clean and also not too crowded when I was there mid-day. There was alot more people towards the later part of evening and tends to get abit packed in the changing area. The only thing that irked me was the cleaning lady in the changing room was moping when I was standing blowing my hair. She could have at least moped or swept another section and then attended to my section when I moved away. The highlight was the Shiatsu massage and I highly recommend Lester. He was very good with the pressure points and courteous too. Good force and usage of strength during massage. The three course lunch was also yummy. There was a great variety covering gluten-free variety for my friend too. The carrot ginger soup was amazing! The waiter and waitresses at the restaurant was polite and certainly attentive. Although I spent almost a whole day at the spa along with my friend, it didn't even feel like I spent almost the whole day there. Time just flew by!
