Had a very nice spa experience where I got a 60 minute massage and scalp treatment. Massage was great and the therapist was excellent. Bath robes were comfortable and luxurious. Scalp treatment as an afterthought and not worth it. All he did was put some oil in my scalp at the beginning of the massage for a few seconds and that was it. Facility is beautiful with an excellent steam room and beautiful pool area where there is an area to order drinks and food. Infrared sauna a bit useless though. read more

What I got: Salt Stone Massage ($200 weekday price) Pros: - One of the best massages I've tried, really liked the use of the heated salt stones. This massage also incorporated shea butter which made the stones glide smoothly against the skin. I would suggest not getting the Shea butter on your hair bc it's really hard to wash off. - If you get a massage over $200, you can use the other facilities including the eucalyptus steam room, pool and hot tub. - The snacks and tea offered included dry fruit and these healthy maple nut squares. I would say there are more snack options at the Ritz Carlton but these were pretty good too. The hibiscus tea when you check in and the maple candy & tea after your massage were a nice touch. - The spa is open quite late, until 9pm. Cons: - This spa is one of the more expensive ones I've been to out of all the luxury spas- on weekends it's $225 - The spa was more crowded on weekdays than some other places I went to, in the afternoon, there was a lounge area and for the most part it was full. - A lot of people say there are kids everywhere but mostly I found on weekdays there are instagrammers and their boyfriends taking pictures of them by the pool. read more

The Four Seasons Spa was the second spa I visited. I want to start off by saying this hotel and spa is absolutely stunning. The staff and customer service is incredible! When I arrived I was directed to the spa which is on the 9th floor. It was beautiful and clean. I then went to the change room where I was provided with a comfy robe and slippers and shown to the lounge where I would wait for my RMT. I booked a 1 hour aromatherapy massage ($230) and the coconut hair & scalp treatment and moisture melt foot treatment add ons ($25 each). However, there was a small scheduling issue and they offered me the add ons COMPLIMENTARY! That was so nice of them. My RMT, Istvan, was very attentive and he made me feel relaxed. The only facility that was open was the pool which I did not use. Everything else was closed due to covid. I think I will try the reviving foot therapy next. I will definitely be returning to this beautiful spa. read more

Located in Yorkville in the four seasons hotel on the 9th floor. The spa is lovely. After checking in at the reception area, hubby and I were guided to our respective change rooms. Nice and clean with lockers, sofa area, tea, water and snack area (with vegan treats...yay!), washrooms, showers, make up counters, steam room, and a lounge area with reclined "beds" to wait for your treatment. My RMT came and got me and took me to the couple's massage room where hubby also arrived. We had a little info from the RMTs then received a 90 minute couple's bamboo massage. It was quite nice and ended with a nice ginger drink, maple candy and mini cupcakes (that hubby ate as they were not gf). We stayed to use the hot tub, pool and loungers. It was a pretty big area but noisy as several families with children were enjoying to pool too (guests of the hotel). We then showered and changed in the change rooms. All toiletries, towels, combs, brushes and hair dryers were available. My only suggestion is there should be an "occupied" sign at the showers when in use. Really nice spa and amenities. The Eucalyptus steam room is really refreshing. I kept going back and spending as much time as I could in it--by the end I felt like a koala. Word of warning: weekends 9am-12pm and 4pm-7pm are family hours, so there are a ton of kids using the facilities. Unless you're bringing your kids down, it's tough to get any quiet time or real use of the pool/jacuzzi area. Excellent staff and customer service. read more

I came with the groupon for the 60 minute massage with foot/hand scrub. Even with the discount, it's still pretty steep but definitely worth it since you can come early/stay after your treatment and really make an afternoon of it. I came on a weekday and it was pretty quiet. There were other people, but there are lots of little reading nooks and places to lounge. The service is excellent -- what you would expect from the Four Seasons. I.e. there were staff constantly replacing towels, replenishing supplies, keeping things tidy, etc. Every detail is thought of and you can really relax. Bring your swimsuit -- with a spa treatment you have access to their indoor pool and hot tub. It is shared with the hotel guests and there may be kids running around but it didn't bother me too much. There are plenty of lounge chairs to read or take a nap. In the women's change room, there is another lounge area with 2 kinds of biscotti, apples, tea, and water, plus lots of magazines to peruse. There is a steam room, which was lovely after the massage. Spacious rain showers, a swimsuit spinner, and any toiletries you may need are all there. Also, their robes are sooo soft and comfy!! I didn't want to take it off (you can buy them at the spa boutique if you really want to bring it home). As for the service, my massage was great and I have been to a lot of spas in the city. My RMT was Kendall and she was excellent at targeting sore spots and making sure I was comfortable throughout (e.g. adjusting temperature, music). You get to choose from 6 different music options and you can choose your aromatherapy too. You will definitely leave feeling pampered! The only downfall is that now I'm totally spoiled and will compare other spas to this one! read more

I used a Groupon for this for 60-min Aromatherapy + backscrub for $145. The Groupon was a great deal because it also came with a RMT receipt for $145, and they always have so many coupon codes going on! The Spa at Four Seasons is located on the 9th floor. Beautiful lighting in the hallways, but I find the reception area to be surprisingly cramped, with their product selection stashed very closeby. Check-in was very smooth and gracious, and our jackets were checked. I was then escorted inside the changerooms and shown to my locker, and after changing into my robe, I was given a short tour of the area. The steam room was still under construction at the time of my visit. The changerooms have different sized lockers, with the digital locking system, comes with slippers, a robe, some hangers and a towel, although there are towels everywhere. There is a large sitting/lounging area with tea, biscotti and plenty of magazines for you to relax in before/after treatment. The pool area also has lots of comfy seating all around, but is open to all hotel guests too, so there's not much of the "tranquil" environment. The hot tub is off to the side, and is not very large. There are showers off to the side of the pool to quickly rinse off. About 5 minutes before your treatment, you are asked to wait in a specific area with very cool "S" shaped lounge chairs, and to fill in a form. You are then picked up and guided to the room. I enjoyed my aromatherapy VERY much. I was provided a selection of oils called Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter, and I was given a thorough description of my services and what to expect. I was asked for my problem areas. The massage itself was very good - perfect pressure, and had that zen-like ritualistic quality to it, including the ringing of a bell to start off the session. Afterwards, my therapist gave me some advice on how to relieve backpain on a daily basis, and gave me some chamomile tea. The shower area seems quite small - only 3 shower stalls, but they were huge! I loved the products provided (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, shaving cream), all natural and wonderfully scented. My only gripe is there didn't seem like enough vanity areas, to dry hair/apply makeup, etc. Nor was there someone you could sit in from of the mirror. Overall, I would rate this right up there with Elmwood. I love Elmwood's natural lighting in the changerooms, but the RMT here was fantastic, and I loved the "ritual" of it. 4.5 star! read more

I had an aromatherapy massage and my friend had a facial. He was personal, calm, and professional. His massage was defined, slow, and of course breathtaking. However there was a lady who was greeting and also cleaning. I didn't like that she was kind of telling me to leave despite that it was closing hour. I paid 10x regular place for great service too. In non-hotel spas, I would only be informed of the closing time, not repeatedly asked to leave/hurry myself. Policies: it wasn't the easiest thing to book this place. There weren't too many people but it was impossible to book facials, massage, manipedi, etc at the same time for myself, so I had to do only a massage. In addition, regardless of when you come in, if you had booked the appointment at 6, you must come in at 6, or your money will go to waste. No compromise. So it wasn't time convenient for customers. 4.5 STARS As far as "traditional" spas go, this is one of my favourites. I was lucky enough to see a Travelzoo deal for a 60 min aromatherapy massage with a back scrub for this place (they provide RMT receipt so basically it's free depending on what your benefits are - you only pay tax/tip once you claim it back). How could I not pass up a deal like that? You can come early to enjoy the spa services - pool, hot tub, steam room. They are shared with hotel guests so I think on the weekends it would get busy. Try to aim for a weekday so you don't need to deal with loud guests or hot tub hoggers. The pool is pretty big and has tons of cushy seating around it - sofas at the 2 ends and lots of deck chairs where you can relax. The hot tub is off to the side at the back and is a bit tiny - I wish it was a bit larger There are some showers in the pool area and one by the hot tub so you can rinse off. Located on the 9th floor, this reception area is kinda small for a hotel of this caliber but everyone was extremely friendly. They have someone lead you in to the change rooms where you have your robe/slippers and a towel given to you. Once you change they come back to give you a guided tour of the lounge (tea/water and pastries) and the washrooms, showers and where you go for your scheduled appointment. I love the fact that several times I got lost trying to find my way somewhere (is it just me or are all spas confusing maze of never ending corridors??) and when I asked for directions they led me to my final destination each and every time. Bonus! The lounge area is a bit small - that's why I say book on a weekday b/c I can see how easily it would get cramped on the weekends and that's not relaxing at all. For the massage you meet with the therapist before to fill out the usual form and you also get to select the music playing in your room from their menu. You also get to select the oil for the massage. Everything was professional and friendly - the massage room itself is spacious , there are heated massage tables and the blanket they put on you is nice and fluffy and warm. They have plush eye masks to wear so when you turn face up you aren't staring into any lights (although it's quite dim in here anyways, but it's still a nice touch.). The massage was wonderful and once done the therapist waits outside your room until you come out and walks you back to the lounge (while offering you water or tea that is located out the massage rooms.) I've wanted to try this spa for awhile, so I was really happy when a Groupon came my way for a 60 minute aromatherapy massage and back scrub. I checked the place out online before I made my appointment so I knew there were water therapies and a steam room. The steam room was going to be under construction until mid-March so I booked my Groupon for the end of March, right before it expired! I'm glad I did b/c the steam room was really nice. It even had a shower in the steam room in case you got too warm. I really like their change room. They have some of the most relaxing waiting areas I've been, with big comfy couches instead of just having benches in the change room. Even the lounge chairs while you're waiting for your treatment are really comfortable. They also have a lot of space in the pool area. I was a little disappointed that there were kids splashing around in the pool when I got there and realized that it was open to hotel guests as well. While I'm not a fan of the water therapies being a separate area for spa guests only, the pool area itself was really nice. There was a large pool, a small wading pool with seating it you wanted to get your legs wet, a substantial sized hot tub and lots of comfortable lounge chairs, couches and outside lounge chairs. The treatment itself was very relaxing. I had a choice of 4 oils. I choose spring. I also had a choice of 6 different music stations. My masseur explained everything that was going to happen, checked if the pressure was okay, the table temperature was okay, but mostly spoke to me before the treatment so that I wasn't disturbed during the treatment. This place was so relaxing and really gives Elmwood a run for its money. I just wish I gave myself more time to enjoy the water therapies and the quiet rooms. Definitely worth the treat. Watch out for Groupons and specials online. The treatments can be a bit pricey, but when you make use of the facilities it's well worth it. read more

It is very relaxing and there is enough space to sit around, read a magazine, drink some tea or water, and munch on some biscottis which they provide. The service is pretty good as well. The only reason why it's not a 5 star is because of value. Even with a voucher, the RMT service is over priced after you factor in tax and tips. The RMT massage itself is nice but not amazing and not the best I've had. Service is excellent (somehow even the cleaning lady called me by my name) and the facilities are beautiful. My first massage was a 60 min aromatherapy massage. My massage therapist was extremely professional and took the time to explain everything. My second massage was the Asian fusion massage which didn't seem much too different from the aromatherapy one besides some added tapping and slapping techniques. My therapist also didn't seem as professional or talented as the first, so your experience might depend on who you get. I recommend coming here 1.5-2 hours before to get into the zone, explore the facilities or relax in the lounge with tea. read more

This is my regular pedicure spot and with good reason! The pedicure space is clinical-standard hygienic and does not have jets that circulate pathogen-filled water around your feet. There is a wide selection of high quality polishes (including Vinylux) and the staff is meticulous with their techniques. The lounge area is super chill and the snacks include vegan pumpkin bites that require serious self control to stop eating. I get the LTB (lighten, tighten, brighten) facial peel every few months and it's a positively luxurious experience - I have been known to drift into a nap on the table! Hubby and I booked a couples massage - yes a splurge during the holidays. it's the four seasons, how can you go wrong? well let me count the ways: 1) at the check-in desk: the receptionist was friendly, and very eager to take our jackets. She also HAD to repeat the exact same script to my husband and I. so in one run-on long sentence with no gaps along the lines like: "Mister you booked for a 60 min couples massage with deep tissue and aroma therapy with female registered massage therapist one of our attendants will lead you to the changeroom and afterwards you can meetup in the pool area and that's shared so you can enjoy that area before your massage but since you're really early you can take your time to enjoy the facility", and here she takes a big breath, exact same script again! I wonder if a few people go together, like 5 or 6 girlfriends, would she repeat this to EVERY person? 2) then an attendant led me to the changeroom and followed me around, gave me a tour (I don't think I got better tours at the louvre lol. you can take tour of change rooms?? it has bathroom, changeroom, and shower... yes?) even tried to wait around for me to change, until I said I'm okay and asked for a private changeroom. pretty awkward. Oh and I was told I must come back to the change room to wait for my massage, but not wait with my husband in the common area - even it's a couples massage? I asked twice, they insisted that I come back... 3) there's also no shared sauna/steamroom. I really don't like that. I like sitting and enjoying the steam, chat and relax before going for my massage (this is also why I arrived like an hour in advance). As a new mom, I was really looking forward to an evening at the spa - and The Four Seasons lived up to my expectations! Upon arrival, after the staff checked our coats, we were escorted to the change room by another attendant who then assigned us our keypad lockers and asked if the slippers were the correct size (robes and towels were already in the locker). After changing, we were given a quick tour of the spa. A tour? At a spa? What?!! My friend and I had booked an hour long massage. My masseuse was very detail orientated and explained the different scrubs and oils that he was going to use, asked which areas of the body I wanted to focus on and if there were any areas that were off limits. I was then presented with 4 essential oil to choose from, I chose the winter scent which was minty fresh! I then unclothed and snuggled into the heated massage table and was tucked underneath the silky sheets. The massage table had multiple settings to raise/lower my body as needed. The masseuse was very professional and the pressure was just right. After the massage, I relaxed in the eucalyptus steam room - it was like heaven! There is a sitting area complete with sofas, magazines, many hot teas to choose from, lemon/lime water and vanilla and chocolate biscotti. The vanity had everything - mouthwash, makeup remover, hair gel, organic hand wash, organic body lotion, q tip, cotton balls, disposable combs and shower caps. The showers had shampoo, conditioner, organic body wash, shaving cream and shavers. The pool and hot tub area was lined with comfy lounge chairs and had a beautiful tranquil setting. If you're expecting, they have a great mommy massage...I only wish I'd known about it when I was pregnant! I will DEFINITELY be back! Once we made it inside the reception area was stunning and a very attentive employee directed us to the spa. Once we got there, everyone was nice. Here's the synopsis: Pros: -good tea selection -steam room is awesome. I had steam rooms and this one I could actually tolerate. It was not too intense. I also liked that there was a shower in the steam room for some immediately cooling -the beds in the relation room are so comfortable and come with these fur-like blankets. I wanted to buy one, I loved them! -I had the honey massage and the massage oil was a lovely scent. It left my skin feeling soft and not too oily -the massage therapist I had went over my health form with me in detail and was attentive to what I wanted -I liked the xylophone type chime at the start and finish of your treatment -I also enjoyed the aromatherapy style "inhale deeply" while they hold scents in front of your nose. Cons: -this place is like a giant maze. Half the time, I had no idea where I was going. -there are only two showers, so there was a woman waiting for my friend when she got out -in the relaxation room there are no tables to place your tea by. Also, the room is awkwardly shaped and it seemed to be an after thought. -the massage was okay but not the best I've had. I found that their definition of light-medium pressure was too light for me. -there were numerous awkward pauses during my massage that resulted in something neat (an eye pillow, hot towels on feet and hands, a new scent to inhale) but I would have preferred more rubbing of my broken muscles and less random acts of spa kindness. -At points pre-massage, I was bored. I would have liked a whirlpool in the spa itself. They have this at their competitor, the Ritz downtown Overall, I think they are trying to still get in the swing of things. I recently visited the spa for an aromatherapy massage, and the spa exceeded my expectations from the very beginning to the end of my visit. When you enter the spa you're greeted by fantastic desk service who take care of you and usher you to the change rooms, and give you a mini tour if the facilities. ( i will mention later but the facilities are amazing). Once changed, I entered the waiting area (one for men, one for women) i had some tea and read a magazine before meeting with my massage therapist. Juan was amazing, extremely talented and was able to use the right pressure to relieve tension while still being relaxing. the massage was excellent, and my therapist was an utter professional, very sensitive and kind, explaining the oils and the types of massage, etc, etc. After the massage I returned to the spa area (reserved for spa patrons, not for hotel guests). There was a saline pool, hot-tub/ jacuzzi and intense steam room. The entire facility is beautifully decorated, everything was sparkling clean and in top condition. I enjoyed my steam room, showered, used the complimentary sprays and gels to get ready and left feeling like a new person. I went for a massage, my therapist was very professional and always checked pressure level with me. Overall a great experience. This would be my go-to place for rough and tumble therapeutic massage (something I'm used to from my competitive days). However, if you're looking to relax, this is a great experience. The facility is new and has an understated elegance to it. Doing the backstroke while looking at the rain outside splash against the skylight was pretty great. As was the steam room and the opportunity to sit, sip tea and relax in any number of locations. The staff is the best feature. Everyone was incredibly nice and accommodating. My phone was ringing off the (metaphorical) hook with minor emergencies when I stepped out but nothing got me uptight for the rest of the day -- a pretty good sign. If you need to take a weekend to relax, a staycation with a day at the spa may trump going out of town. read more

She did well but not up there with the best especially when I paid $80. Then some time later I went back for aroma therapy massage, which was heavenly! The spa is located at 10th floor, which gives a wonderful view of the city. Temple-like design gets you all pampered. But it wasn't intimidating as staff was professional and personable. Steam room and pool were good too. I felt uncomfortable when I was getting manis pedis done as chair was so low and I had to stretch my arms too far. Massage bed wasn't as comfy too. I loved the steamroom, I must have spent an extra two hours in the lounge area relaxing. they provide anything and everything this is the four seasons that i know! I have to say, I left unimpressed. Came here with a friend, we both checked in at the counter and were led inside. The change room attendant asked for our names again and checked us off in her paper list as well. When the time came for our massages my friend's started on time but I was still waiting 15 minutes in after which I went looking for somebody to sort this out. After much confusion it turned out that despite two "check points" I had accidentally been marked "male" in the system and my massage therapist was waiting for me on the wrong side. I asked her to make sure that my friend will be notified that I will be 15 minutes late, she assured me that she'll take care of it but didn't. I enjoyed the massage hence the three stars. The aromatic oils were nice and I really liked the pressure. After the massage we went looking for the showers of which there were only three, surprising considering how full the lounge was. The pool was a mess. So many people, a lot of kids, some pool toys flying in the air, it's not relaxing by any stretch. I didn't bother to get in. Overall, the massage was good but not worth the hassle. I'll go back to Miraj at Shangri La. read more

Loved this place & the experience! My girlfriends and I purchased a Groupon voucher for a 60 minute aromatherapy massage + back scrub. We were greeted promptly and the receptionists were all friendly. Lula, I think she's a manager of some sort, took us on a tour of the spa. She was very straight to the point and informative :) All of us enjoyed our massages and the available amenities. Everything is so clean and fresh. We've been to a few other spas in hotels, and this one by far is our favourite! Try their poppy seed biscotti! It's amazing! Minus 1 star because their steam room is out of service until March 2016. read more

Hands Down the BEST spa in Toronto and I've been to them all. The Four Seasons is in a class of its own. The staff is friendly and takes the time to walk you through the different packages. They don't try and pressure you into spending more money, they just want to make sure you have the best experience while you're at their spa. The facilities are beautiful. The pool and hot tub are huge. The best part is the massage and treatment room. You're in a gorgeous suite where you pick your music, scent, pressure the entire experience is customized for you. Treat yourself to the under eye de-puffer strips. They're worth the $20. And while you're at it, do 90 min, you'll be thankful you didn't finish up after only 60 min. Fantastic Spa Experience at the new Four Seasons Hotel Raquel just might be the best massage therapist I have ever had. I love the stearoom and the pool, I have visited many hotel spas in Toronto and hands down the four seasons is the best! read more

I gotta say....not so impressive. I had a decent facial here but the place just isn't worth the price. The place is barely a year old and already fixtures throughout the locker room are falling apart. The soap dispensers in the showers are broken pieces of plastic. The service, while always in your face, rarely picks up glasses or towels. The change room was littered with the same used towels and glasses throughout my two hour stay here. Also the men's locker room smelled of BO wherever you went. The food in the locker room is a dirty tray of handled biscotti along with tea that has no sugar, milk or lemon anywhere nearby. Quite disappointing. Oh, and even though they'll tell you that you can access the gym when you're booking your $175 facial, when you get there they will make it clear that spa guests are forbidden from using those facilities. Overall, it's an adequate facial in a poorly managed, poorly maintained environment and costs about 60% more than you should pay for it. Next time I want an overpriced facial, I will stick with the Ritz Carlton. And so should you. read more

The massage was great. The rest of the "4 season's" experience was BAD No regard for the customer's time or requests. Spoke to the manager and all she said was she was sorry....next time you come in talk to me first and I'll do something extra for you!!! I wasn't looking for freebies...what an insult! Continuing my tour of fancy spas in Toronto, I checked out The Spa at Four Seasons for the first time. And I am impressed. Compared to similar spas in Toronto that I have been to, Elmwood Spa and Body Blitz, I am ranking the experience a notch above both of these spas. Amenities -- One thing I loved about the Four Seasons spa is that the amenities were above par in comparison to my other spa experiences. There is a large steam room with a shower inside in the change room area (larger than both Elmwood and Body Blitz, seating area is about the same though), delicious biscotti (not available at the other two places), apples (not available at Body Blitz), fruit infused water (not available at Body Blitz), a nice selection of teas (available at Elmwood but I believe at a cost at Body Blitz) and a ton of comfortable lounging chairs and couches. Really, the lounging chairs they have are really cool, they are kind of like V shaped with your legs propped up and very comfortable (also comes with a blanket!). And there's tons of space to lounge. Unlike Elmwood, which has just some cushioned patio furniture by the pool to sit around, this place has many places to lie around to just chill for awhile and relax. The organic body soap, natural shampoo and conditioner were also my favourite compared to the other two places as they smell fantastic, being organic/natural aside. The change room facilities are also kept in tip top shape with attendants ensuring the cleanliness of the showers and bathrooms, not to say Body Blitz/Elmwood don't have attentive attendants in the change room but I always found the Four Seasons attendants keeping the showers and bathrooms clean (with the toilet paper folded into a point, each time I went in) while I was there. There are just 3 showers so hopefully not everyone suddenly decides to shower when you decide to but hey, there are comfy lounging chairs to hang out on to wait it out so I wouldn't fret too much. There's also an assortment of towels available everywhere, including inside the shower stall which was a huge plus, and also hand towels both dry and cold wet ones for when you use the steam room. Also a decent assortment of current on newsstands magazines to read (not available at Body Blitz and meh available at Elmwood, though I usually find back issues there unless someone has taken all the new issues). As others have mentioned, the pool and hot tub is shared with hotel guests so you are going to have to deal with children and "the aggressive pool swimmer" (you know the one, with their goggles, kicking and butterflying in huge splashes so everyone knows they are SERIOUS about swimming). I read the reviews so it wasn't a shock to me and I just let it be. I had children in the shallow area kicking water, running around and splashing on me but I just kept reading my magazine to ignore it. So yeah, don't expect to continue the zen-ness in the pool area. What I did like about the pool area is more couches and more lounging chairs, and it looked like outside there were loungers on the outdoor terrace. Since I went in the winter, obviously I am just guessing but if they open up the patio in the summer, I AM DEFINITELY COMING BACK THEN. Also good? Like Elmwood, the lockers have digital locks so you don't have to lug around a key. The massage -- Instead of my usual Swedish massage, I went for a 60 min deep tissue massage with Marius. And it was one of the best I ever had. Maybe it's not a fair comparison as Swedish massages are more for relaxation than anything, but with some of the massages I've gotten at Body Blitz in particular and Elmwood, I felt like they were just tapping fingers on my back and rubbing my spine majority of the time -- even when I ask for more pressure. This massage was a mixture of relaxation and kneading my muscles until I was writhing in pain, but y'know, it's for the greater good. There was also massaging of my scalp which felt nice (and luckily, my RMT washed his hands before going up into my hair as I've had some massages that afterwards, my hair is just full of oiliness from massage oil) and my face, which I've never had done before. The aromatherapy massage oil smelled great and adds to the relaxing effect. You also get a choice of music which is awesome, because if if is still the case now, Body Blitz pretty much has played Enya each time I've been there. There's a heating pad to keep you warm and the bed sheets, OMG, they were so soft. It was like being enveloped in a soft, fluffy cloud. The room I was in was for couple massages but it was a lot bigger, regardless of the two massage tables, than other treatment rooms I've been in with a lot of space and a sitting area and even a tub (?). While the RMTs at Body Blitz and Elmwood (hit or miss) tend to usually end the massage with some tips on stretches to address your problem areas, there was less of that in this session but could be a one-off. All in all, I highly recommend and will go back! read more

First visit today with a $145 Groupon for a 60 min. massage with a foot and hand scrub included. Upon booking I was told I would have to pay a $20 upgrade for a "mommy to be" massage since I'm pregnant - not really sure why this massage is an upgrade...it's not like you get anything extra out of it. I paid it anyways because I already booked the Groupon but I was a bit irritated about this. The facility is nice and modern and close to on par for a 5 star spa. Upon arrival you are shown through the spa and assigned your locker where your robe and slippers await. The robe is very comfortable but I had 2 issues with the slippers - 1. They were too narrow for my foot to fit in. They have a wide strap across the front and I guess because I'm experiencing some swelling in my feet there was no way I could wedge my foot in the slipper. 2. They were not my size. They don't ask you what size you are, rather they pre-place the robe and slippers in your locker prior to arrival. I did not ask if there were bigger slippers available as I brought my own flips flops to wear (thank God!). If you have a wide foot or are experiencing swelling, bring your own footwear, I doubt you would have success with the slippers they provide. The lounge areas in the woman's change room are very nice with large couches and chairs to sit on. They provide complementary apples, biscotti, water and teas while you wait for your service. They have two showers for bathing which are large however I can see it being a challenge to get access to the showers on a busy weekend since there are only two. They have a steam room that many people accessed, however I did not since I am pregnant and steam rooms are a "no, no" for me at this time. On the same floor of the spa, there is a large pool deck with couches and loungers to enjoy with a walk out balcony overlooking Yorkville. It is very nice but note that this is a common pool deck shared with all guests at the hotel and not exclusive to spa guests. The massage rooms themselves are very nice and you get to choose from 5 varieties of music themes to complement your massage - this was a nice touch, I thought. The beds are nice and wide and adjust to elevate your legs or head to make your massage more comfortable. The highlight of my experience was my masseuse, Hugo. I was a little nervous booking a male for a prenatal massage but so glad I did. He was very knowledgable and professional and knew exactly what I needed as a pregnant woman! It was honestly one of the best massages I've had in a long while and if I returned to this spa, I would make sure to book him for my treatment. In all, this spa is really nice. I find the price a bit steep, however Hugo has made me consider returning. The only downfall I can see with this spa is lack of space for co-ed lounging. Unless I'm mistaken, it's limited to the pool deck only. read more

I've been here four times. Once before the renovation and twice after. Beautiful facilities: really nice pool and hot tub, nice spacious showers and change area. Everyone from the front desk to the attendants are very friendly and polite. In my last two massages therapists were inexperienced and seemed a little lost and confused. It didn't bother me too much but last time my partner came and he really hated it. So I'd say: go for the beautiful pool and a pleasant experience but don't expect a top quality professional massage. Update! Went back for a facial and my partner had the foot massage: facilities were as beautiful and clean as ever, my partner really enjoyed the foot massage and my facial was really top quality, one of the best I've had.
