I almost never make appointments (not saying people should do this), but they always take me regardless. The people are sweet and treat you like a long time friend. The BEST thing about this salon though, is the insanely large selection of colours and unique polishes. Every time I see someone with a unique colour, they always say it's from here. All of my nails turned white after the polish chipped off. They told me it was due to expired nail polish. Can you imagine - new salon/expired nail polish?? The last time I was there, I noticed that the staff tried to skip an important part of pedicure and did a very lazy scrub! Furthermore, I just noticed on their receipt that they apply sales tax to your tips too, which is totally ILLEGAL!!! I will call & let them know. It better be corrected or my next call will be to CRA. The most disturbing fact was she used the same set of instruments on my hand nails, as she used during my pedicure. I also observed that at the end she scrubbed them under running water for about 5 seconds & put them back in her container. The instruments were not taken for sterilization and will be likely used on the next customer. Seeing all this killed all of my trust in them! I would advise anyone NOT to go there if you don't want to end up with some kind of nail decease!!

Lindy was the one who did my nails - she was super nice, professional, and extremely patient with me, especially when I was trying to describe exactly how I wanted my nails shaped. She also helped choose the colour, which I am a big fan of! I had a full set of bio gel nails done, and couldn't be happier about the result. Definitely coming back soon for my refills (they also gave me a point loyalty card). I've previously been to a few salons in the past that for some reason, always managed to slightly knick my cuticle a little bit which led to some bleeding, but no problems here!

I used to come here often but they recently lost me as a customer. I'm still recovering from my thin nail (which used to be healthy and strong). They did an amazing job, but after pushing back my cuticles and filing them, my cuticles were still there so I asked them to cut them off. This extra step counted as a manicure so it was an extra $12 charge? Which, okay fine.. but it just added to the cost of everything. For a gel refill (+2 nail fixes since they popped off from my first appt), plus design, plus covid PPE costs, & tip, it came up to almost $150! I don't understand how people can keep getting their nails done with these prices. I was okay paying for it since I needed PERFECT nails for my wedding - and I am BEYOND happy with the outcome, but the price is keeping me from going back unless for a special occasion. (The first time I went for a full set of gel nails & 1 colour with sparkle on top came up to $90 with tip).. so almost double the price if I went to a basic nail salon. You do get what you pay for, but again, not sure how people can keep up with these prices. I would still definitely recommend going to Allure Nail Bar. I have been happy with my past two visits. I'm on my third week of having gel polish and it hasn't even chipped! Some things to note - make sure to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. In April there was a ice storm and I asked to reschedule due to the poor road conditions. However, they said there would be a charge the next time I came back. I ended up going because I didn't want to be charged. I know it's a business but there should be some leniency when the weather is really bad. If you get a manicure they don't charge for polish removal. If you write a review you'll get 15% off (I think...or it's 10% off). Looking forward to my next visit this week!
