I found Allure Nail Bar online after I was searching for a nail salon that did similar techniques to a "russian manicure" (where they use a drill bit to carefully file your cuticles). They did an amazing job, but after pushing back my cuticles and filing them, my cuticles were still there so I asked them to cut them off. This extra step counted as a manicure so it was an extra $12 charge? Which, okay fine.. but it just added to the cost of everything. For a gel refill (+2 nail fixes since they popped off from my first appt), plus design, plus covid PPE costs, & tip, it came up to almost $150! I don't understand how people can keep getting their nails done with these prices. I was okay paying for it since I needed PERFECT nails for my wedding - and I am BEYOND happy with the outcome, but the price is keeping me from going back unless for a special occasion. (The first time I went for a full set of gel nails & 1 colour with sparkle on top came up to $90 with tip).. so almost double the price if I went to a basic nail salon. You do get what you pay for, but again, not sure how people can keep up with these prices. I would still definitely recommend going to Allure Nail Bar. I'm happy to find a local nail salon after having bad service at another salon that I liked previously. The young ladies working at this nail salon are nice, friendly, and talented at nail art. I have gone here two times in the past three months for my bridal shower and wedding. I have been happy with my past two visits. I'm on my third week of having gel polish and it hasn't even chipped! Some things to note - make sure to cancel your appointment at least 24 hours in advance. In April there was a ice storm and I asked to reschedule due to the poor road conditions. However, they said there would be a charge the next time I came back. I ended up going because I didn't want to be charged. I know it's a business but there should be some leniency when the weather is really bad. If you get a manicure they don't charge for polish removal. If you write a review you'll get 15% off (I think...or it's 10% off). Looking forward to my next visit this week! read more

After having followed them on Instagram for a while, decided to book and appointment. They were super busy and I could only get one when I booked almost a month in advance. I got there a few mins early, checked in and picked my colour. My technician was Kris. She was nice and polite. They salon is very clean and cute. I had my pedicure done first. Kris was thorough. The pedicure took about 25 mins and we moved on to a manicure. My nails were filed off perfectly and had 2-2 coats which was great. Overall very happy with the outcome. Still giving this place 5 stars (would give it more if I could). Really great atmosphere; all the girls are friendly and have great personalities. My go-to tech is Kristy and she always does an amazing job. I started only going for pedicures and recently started going for both pedicures and manicures. Kristy does a great job doing both. I've broken a few nails in between appointments and foolishly tried to attempt a DIY fix it and Kristy is able to work with my mess. I don't live close by anymore, but this place is worth the drive. This is a longer overdue and much deserved review. Back in November 2017, my husband and I were looking for a nail salon in Mississauga that provided exemplary service. And thanks to Yelp, we found Allure Nail Bar. The booking process was very simple and done via e-mail. We were super lucky in that they were able to accommodate us on such short notice. On December 2nd, my husband got a manicure/pedicure with no polish and I got a shellac manicure and regular pedicure. We both absolutely loved our experience and more importantly, the end result! The staff was professional and super friendly. The environment and all the tools were clean. In the past, most Shellac manicures last about a week or so on me before they get chipped. For some magical reason, the polish stayed intact for 3 weeks with no chipping whatsoever. My husband and I are trying to figure out when we can get another mani/pedi done together here because we absolutely had a wonderful experience and it is something special we get to do together :) read more

I found out about this place through Instagram and have only been twice bc it's a bit far from me, but both times the service was excellent. Most recently I went during covid protocols and the salon takes the cleaning steps very seriously, everything that was explained on their Instagram they followed in real life. I arrived right on the dot for my scheduled appointment and was let inside, where Victoria did my nails. She does a very meticulous, beautiful job with filing and manicuring (in my case) natural nails. My shellac mani lasted me 4 full weeks even with wearing gloves and working hands on. I had the pleasure of having my nails done by Kristy today. I have tried numerous salons in Sauga and wasn't happy with any of them until now! Allure will be my new go-to spot. They are so clean and tidy. Doesn't look cluttered and all the colour choices are hung in the waiting area and really organized by colour palette. This is the first place I've been to where I felt welcome. I was greeted by Kristy when I came in. I'm so used to nail salon techs talking to each other in their own language and I've always found that rude. Not here! The other two girls were making conversation with their clients while we all watched Kim's Convenience and laughed. It was like being with your girlfriends. Kristy did a great job on my nails. She asked for my approval along the way, did quality checks and even took time to make sure my nails were evenly filed. She offered me my file and buffer as they don't reuse those items. Tools came right out of the sanitized kit. I was really impressed with this place. I don't think walk ins are allowed as it states you should make an appointment. (Follow up for previous review.) Had my manicure done by Kristy this visit. 10/10! Her movements were with intention, she performed spot checks along the way, and asked for my approval as well. She is very detail oriented, gets the cuticles SO clean and even. The borders of the nail colour were precise and quite close to the cuticle (without the help of an acetone clean up.) Colour was nicely capped off at the top and no mess on the fingers and even with my super short nails. Other than that, salon is still very clean and sanitary. Reusable nail tools are opened from sealed sanitation pouch in front of you and the remaining tools are disposed of (or offered to you to keep) after the work is done. All staff greeted other patrons by name and familiarity. Seems like a great place to become a regular. My nails just look so satisfyingly neat and tidy (and decorated, of course) I can't stop staring at them. I will be back for sure! read more

Allure Nail Bar is my go to nail salon in Mississauga. I have moved away to Toronto now but I still drive an hour back to go to do my nails there. Kristy and all her staffs are always the sweetest and the most attentive nail technicians. We always accomplish the nail designs I love and match the images I bring. I've been with them for about three years now and I will continue to stay for a while! I get my gel refills there and they are very durable and last me usually up to a month. This is my first time trying this nail bar. Reservation System The reservation system is not so easy to follow if looking for last minute appointment. I tried to make an appointment by calling in. They don't pick up their phone really on time. But they did call me back and get an appointment booked for the day after. The Service The girls were really nice. They seem to have a good relationship with their long term clients. I didn't get to talk to my stylist too much which I don't mind. The Nail They have a good selection of colour. My nail stylist also fulfilled my request of drawing a marble pattern on my ring finger. She took her time and did a good job. HOWEVER, my nail polish(shellac) chipped only 3 days after I got them done. I did not do any heavy work in those 3 days. I did email them about it. And they replied inviting me to go back the day after. I replied saying If I can go in another date. But they did not follow up after that. By now it does not make sense to redo one of my nail as they all grow out. And I also have more nails start to chip soon after. I may go back to give them another try. I thought a lot about it this week and after my experience last weekend I will not return. When I showed up to my appointment there was a DOG in the salon! Who when they go to a salon is expecting to see a dog? Its does not look good, it looks unsafe and unsanitary and of course you can not have dogs or animals in a salon!! I am not only allergic but very scared of dogs. They just laugh at me and say she nice, I dont care! Nice to you not your customers. I did not say anything else and waited for it to be over. This is not only reason why I dont come here no more but it was the last thing that made me say I cant go here. The prices are very high for the work they do and the salon your in. What I mean by that is everything looks so old dirty and broken. My pedicure chair foot part was broken! My leg cramped from not being stable, and the girl just laugh and say it been like that for while. Why then fix it? You charge a lot of money for broken equipment. I also see how dirty salon is hair everywhere on floor all time, equipment looks old and dirty. For prices you charge for service you should use better stuff. As for quality of work its ok just ok. I can't believe that this place has such great reviews. It is absolutely filthy. There is hair, dust, and just general filth everywhere. I booked an appointment after reading all the great reviews and I am extremely disappointed. I have attached some photos of the dirt I am talking about. I went right in the morning so I could tell the place had not been cleaned that day (or week...). They allow pets... even as an animal lover this is not appropriate in a nail bar as the animlas were jumping all over their chairs (the onss intended for customers). One of the nail technicians was feeding a dog treats as she was doing someone's nails. Not hygenic. Please look at the attached photos. They do not even fully depict how dirty this place is. They have PLENTY of colours to choose from, and they are constantly updating! Service is excellent for the price, Allure is definitely about quality, and not about speed. When I came in no one said hi or looked up at me, but they told me to pick a colour. They didnt have all the colours of the rainbow for selection it seemed, but various shades of the colours they did have which is nice. When they were ready for me the woman doing my pedicure didnt say hi or introduce herself, ir ask me what colour I chose soni just handed it to her and sat down. THEIR TOOLS ARE CLEAN AND STERILE. I love that! They also use new disposable files and foot scrub bars. This is the minimum standard, but a lot of places don't meet it. They did a really good job shaping my nails, the massage chair is comfortable, but a little loud, though noone seemed to mind. The ottoman piece I kept my feet on during the pedicure was rock solid and got painful early on. I didnt notice before how that ottoman is usually a padded pillow, but now I get it. The pedicure setup in the photos are not how it is set up now. I have one small callous on one foot and the pedicure made no attempts to remove the softened dead skin. Pedicure also didn't exfoliate the foot or leg and the massage didn't last 10 seconds. Not worth a pedicure in my opinion, that process is lacking for sure. Polish was done almost flawlessly, sides of the nail weren't painted consistently so it will be more obvious and probably chip when it grows out in a week or so. Also have small bubbles from the top coat on my tbumb and middle finger. I have some polish on my finger tips on the skin under a couple of the nails but that should come off in a couple days. Overall staff seemed really nice to each other, but a couple of them were still pretty smile-less even as I checked out and asked about more info. Made me uncomfortable to ask what sorts of other sevices they might offer. I have a feeling the manicurist I got wasn't the most experienced. Might go back and try my luck with another manicurist, maybe I'll get the staff on a better day. Would've loved to be treated like a customer and not like they were doing me a favour. Some level of professionalism goes a long way in the salon experience! Update: it hasn't been a week and it's already chipped, looks like it's weeks old, not days. The nails are so sharp (even though my nails are short) that I've scratched myself pretty bad 3 times quite badly and ripped my nylon socks..not sure how, it's like they didn't seal the ends with the polish to make it smoother. Probably why it's chipping from the tip. Nails shouldn't be able to cause so much damage, especially if they're short! Also noticing more bubbles surfaced on the nails, it's a light colour so it's that much more obvious, makes the nail look dirty. read more

Couldn't be more disappointed. I took my mum to Allure a few months ago for a gel manicure after I read all the great reviews. We had a good experience, nothing exceptional but it was good and I had no complaints at all. So I went today for a regular manicure and boy was it a disappointment. From the first hello, the tech appeared hurried and was trying to explain something to me but was so rushed at speaking that I could barely understand. I had to ask her to repeat several times before I could get what she was trying to explain. Then we went to her work station and started doing my nails. I noticed that another client had arrived and was waiting. Applying the second coat of the polish, she said ok you can stay in the "drying room" now. And started ushering me into the room beside us which was basically a storage room with a plastic table and 4 chairs and a nail dryer. All of this was rush rush rush, I didn't know what was going on. I asked if she had applied the top coat yet, she said no, we'll dry it first then apply the top coat. So she put me in that room and went to start with the waiting client. So I sat in the "drying room" staring at the wall for a while till another tech came in and stood over me and said "I'll apply the top coat now". She didn't even sit down, applied the top coat, put my hands in the dryer again and left. I sat in the storage room staring at the wall for another few minutes till third tech came in and asked me if I wanted cuticle oil. I was surprised she was actually asking me that instead of just applying it like every other salon on the planet, but I just answered yes. I just wanted to get out. I felt completely disrespected and nowhere near appreciated as a client. This is by far the worst experience I've had in a salon. This place has clearly become popular because of initial good reviews but they have just adopted this factory like approach where the goal is to churn out clients and make a lot of profit. I don't think they have even heared the term "customer experience". Moving me from place to place then having tech after tech come in a perform the next step is exactly what you see in an assembly line not a place you go in to pamper yourself for a day. Until this place changes its approach to a client oriented business, I absolutely would not recommend it. I've been there a few times for Mani's and Pedi's but the most recent time I went I had a very bad customer service experience. Not only did the girl doing my nails leave after I was under the dryer. I also couldn't get anyone to check to see if my nails were dry. After the girl did my manicure my hands were dry she didn't even lotion them ( she just got up and left). The owner seen that I was upset and as I was walking out none of the staff cared enough to say 'Thank you' ' Have a nice day', nothing. They didn't offer to help get my shoes as my hands were still kind of wet. It's very disappointing that I was a return client and was treated this way. Once I showed the nail technician my confirmation, I was told that they could fit me in 45 minutes later. I made an appointment for a reason. I can't wait around for almost an hour. Terrible service. Waited 35 minutes. I made an appointment 6 days in advance. It was to be my first time there. I show up 5 mins early. There is a girl sitting there when I arrive. 15 minutes go by and the girl that was already waiting when I showed up has words and leaves because I guess she been waiting long enough. The owner does an excellent job, the place and all the tools are clean, and they have a wide variety of colours to choose from. Recommended this place to my mom and she also loved her manicure.
