He got a mani/ pedi and was very happy with the service. I received the same with polish. They coloured my toes nicely and they matched my desires for my nails to a tee. I showed them a reference and I had 2 ladies working on me, one on each hand. Let me just tell you how perfectly both hands match up. Lina is amazing, she can do whatever you ask for and if you're not sure what you want, she can help you decide! The salon is beautiful, clean and she gives a hand massage after nail services. The atmosphere is relaxing and you can watch a movie while you are getting pampered. She does make you feel like a Barbie! I've tried many salons in Mississauga but I always come back to Lina, as she never disappoints and always impresses me. She truly cares about her clients and her work and it shows. Last time I went to see her I had broken a nail into the nail bed and was freaking out. She repaired them with no pain or injury (which normally happens to me at other places as I have very thin skin) so now my nails are pretty and protected! I went to get my nails done today since the previous reviews were so great but the service was horrible. Maybe it was just the girl who did my nails but the girl did a horrible job and she wasn't even apologetic. It was a refill and it took over hour and half and I didn't get designs or anything. It was thick, and the nails weren't smooth and it was just sloppy. She got the paint around the skin and she didn't even bother cleaning until I told her. When I told her, she just filed it and asked if it's okay. Then I had to tell her that there's no colour visible on the edge of my nails so she painted them but didn't even put a top coat on or anything and she still got it on my skin again.... I have been getting my nails done for a long time and I just like to keep mine simple so it's not even a difficult design or anything. This has to be the worst job I have ever seen. read more

First time coming here and I was pretty happy with my service. My tech's name was Lan, and I would definitely visit her again. Went in for a shellac manicure, which costs about $30. Lan really took her time to shape my nails the way I wanted and focused a lot on my cuticles (which were in really rough shape so I was glad for that) They display their shellac colours in albums which I found really convenient and easier then the big ring of colours you get at other salons. Lan paid close attention to her applying of polish, she didn't like the way one of my thumbs was looking so she completely removed the shellac and buffed my nail before starting again. Wasn't the cleanest of salons I've been to, but wasn't the worse either. They specialize in a lot of nail art and stones and gems, I would come back and try out their nail art read more

I have been coming to Barbie nails for a at least 2-3 years. I come with my mom and sister at times and sometimes by myself. The owner is very courteous and a nice young lady. She makes sure every service is done well. They always have some movies playing on the TV to keep you entertained while you get a mani/pedi. My boyfriend and I were in the area for lunch and we decided to both get a man ped here for the first time. The shop is cute upon first impression, after having a closer look they could use a good wipe down and dust off. They use disposable bags for the pedi tubs which is a plus to me for sanitation. I found it weird there was an employee curled up taking a nap in one of the pedi chairs so openly. My technician did a good job for my mani pedi, she was quick and efficient, attentive and friendly - no complaints. I can't say the same for my Boyfriend unfortunately. They pretty much had someone who seems like she was in training, do his pedi. Not the best - he kept having to instruct her how to trim the nails as she didn't seem too certain. When it came time for his Mani, Sleeping Beauty in the corner was woken up to do it while the one that did his pedi watched. The mani tech pretty much half assed the service (I'm guessing she was still half asleep) his service was an extreme disappointment. My BF isn't the type to complain, we would just never return again nor recommend this place. We went home and I ended up having to redo his mani and pedi. read more

Will NOT be coming back! Used to be my favourite nail salon since it first opened (I recommended it to many), but not after my last appointment. I went in for a simple mani-pedi without shellac and was VERY disappointed. My technician made me bleed on two of my toes and two of my fingers. When I asked for a design on my toenails, it was TERRIBLE. On the second toe she started a completely different design before smudging both my toes, having to re-polish them. One big toe received four coats of polish while the other only received one coat, which needless to say was instantly smudged ten minutes after leaving the salon. Even as my nails were drying under the fans, my cuticles were STILL BLEEDING! And, I was still charged full price after all of these mishaps. NEVER coming back again. Maybe it was just because it was the end of the day but I wasn't super impressed by my pedicure, it didn't look professional and only when asked did she clean off the residue of nail polish left on my toes. Tried Barbie Nails for the first time and I will definitely return. Clean establishment and wide shellac colour selection. My technician was Vivi and she took her time with a nail design she did for me, correcting any imperfections along the way. I like my nails really short and often nail salons will try to convince me to keep them long, but Vivi didn't. They had about 6-7 technicians working on Sunday and I called the day before but was able to get an appointment for my desired time slot. Shellac manicure took about 1 hour and time passed quickly as I watched a movie. Only negative comment is about parking, but it's Streetsville so it's no surprise that finding street parking can be challenge. read more

The only thing good about this place is that it does nice designs and has large stone collection. The work does not last. I have been doing bio gel nail extensions for YEARS. When first trying this place I was charged $5 more than most places in the area for a refill ($35, but I usually pay $30$ which was okay at first until I saw the result. They applied the shellac (non chip polish) between the layers of my gel fill.. After coating my shellac design in bio gel, they did not buff or smooth the nail, leaving it bumpy and misshaped. In less than a week my shellac and gel lifted. Not worth my money even though the design was nice, they did not last. I will not be returning. read more

We arrived at around 6:30 and when we were driving to the back to park we saw that they were leaving and closing up, even though it was supposed to close at 8. I didn't even get a chance to go in and already had a negative experience. We had a great experience here today! The ladies were nice and let us take our time picking our colours as we were overwhelmed by the amount of colour choice we had. The ambiance is cute and girly and they play a movie to keep you entertained. My sister and I went in for a pedicure and manicure which was $35 in total each and the prices were fairly reasonable. If you pay cash, you save some money! The dry skin exfoliating was REALLY thorough. I was scared at first about their tools (lol since they looked scary) but they were really nice and helped me calm down. It was my first ever experience with an electric dry skin shaver. In the pedicure, they also gave a good massage up to our knees. Nail and cuticle trimming was done slowly and precisely. The manicure was similar and also a positive experience! They also give you a card where save $25 after 10 visits which is an added plus. I definitely recommend this salon as its one of the best pedicures I've had in the GTA, they have great polish and nail jewel selection, and the ladies are friendly! read more
