I love love love this place. The girls are so nice, and they do FANTASTIC manicures. The best part: the short massage that's included. Feels like such a treat, even though it only lasts a couple of minutes. I've been here 3 times and always left with a super nice manicure. They do an awesome job of removing my cuticles and the nail polish is always applied perfectly. Xièxiè!

I tried Pinkys based on Yelpers and their reviews. One word: awesome. The salon is small, cozy, well-maintained, CLEAN. You are greeted by friendly staff upon arrival. Pratiksha was my nail technician. She is friendly, soft-spoken and very good at her craft. I went in for a pre-vacation pedi. Pratiksha was very careful with the cuticles, expertly shaping my nails just the way I like them. No tears, no snags, no pain, no bleeding (that should NOT happen at a nail salon). Pratiksha asked if I wanted a shoulder massage - nice touch. I will be returning for sure.

Great spot in my neighbourhood for manicures and pedicures. Good prices and they give you a little shoulder massage while your nails dry!

My favourite part? Where I picked my shellac colour and they applied regular polish, and badly. Still paid for shellac mani, tho.

First time at the place. I did a bio gel refill and shellac! She took an hour which is ok, usually takes about 45 min. On top of that, she botched one of the nails so it had to be shaved and applied shellac and the gel again. Over all took 1 hours and 10 minute. Then I noticed my nails in the sun, they look horrible. Never going back. They use really bad quality bio gel or something.

The facility offers everything from steam rooms, saunas, the Dead Sea salt hot pool, the hot Epsom salt pool, to the cold water plunge pool. There are instructions everywhere - on the walls and in the lockers - telling you the next step in the process. It's very customer-friendly! What stands out is that the facilities are state of the art. The Dead Sea salt pool even has massage water jets, and the water quality is tested several times a day. I personally saw a staff member testing the water quality! This is great for anyone with a cleanliness obsession. Two final points: this is a women-only space, and phones are not allowed. The photos I've shared are from the official website, which maintains a high level of privacy. The service is excellent and the place is incredibly clean! Upon entering, you are asked to fill out a medical history form, and they inquire if you need any medical accommodations. Such thoughtful and considerate service!

The supposed "hot" pool was not warmer than my hottub at home that we keep at 104, so must've only been around 101 my guess. And yes, the 2 other women that were there were chatting up a storm, so not your relaxing, spa type environment. The staff, though, were very kind and helpful. I'd say if you have time and the same amount of money, head an hour east to Thermea spa, which is well worth the time and money!

I'm so glad I was able to do two sessions here and honestly, I think about this place every day. The guides here are so special. The concept of other ship is contrast therapy: there is sauna, and cold plunge. But it's unlike any contrast therapy I've done. It's a 75 minute class where you go in and your swimsuit and it's coed. You take part in a version of Aufguss - a sauna where they break balls of ice infused with delicious essential oils. I took a Gacha class where you do lymphatic drainage and then I also took a heart opener class. They also have free flow where there's no guide. The cold plunge is really special - you get paired up but if the class is small you can go alone. I've cold plunged a lot, and this experience transformed me. I was able to stay really, really calm and have a euphoric experience. The guides also use a tuning fork after the cold plunge to get you to calm the nervous system. The shower and changing room is not ideal for anyone that wants to go about their day after the experience but other than that, I wish I lived in Toronto to do this daily. The staff is also super friendly. They gave me their signature incense for my first visit. I love, love this place.

It's not just a sauna and ice bath facility, but a place that fosters community and inclusivity and a sanctuary for when you need to get away from the stresses of life (or when you need to relieve all that stress). The facility and it's staff, along with other participants, provides a safe and welcoming space for you to let go and look inward where you feel like a completely different person once you finish your session or class. I have always been interested to try Othership but was afraid to take the first step. I was able to try one of their guided classes recently as I received a free credit. I booked a deep stretch guided class around noon mid-week. Not knowing what to expect I went in with an open mind, allowing myself to explore and be curious about the experience, as well as try new things. Prior to the class, I probably was most anxious about the cold plunge part of the class. Upon entering Othership, you are greeted by staff where you are checked in. I did tell staff it was my first time there and they gave me a tour of the space. I was also given a wristband to wear, indicating that I was a first timer there - this is done so that it is easier for the instructor to identify the newcomers in the group, just in case we needed extra guidance or direction. Facility wise, Othership is a nice sanctuary in the city. The changerooms aren't terribly big but they do have private change rooms you can utilize. There are lockers you can store your belongings and shoes are not allowed in the sauna/cold plunge area. They provide you with 2 towels and there is tea as well as water (and cups) available. The bathrooms are at the very back past the cold plunge area. In regards to my class, we were able to settle in and the instructor explained the guided class and what we would be doing as we settled on the couches. She was aware that many of us were first timers in the class, knowing that we would be anxious about the cold plunge. She told us to embrace our own journey, with the understanding that everyone is starting at different places with different levels of experience. This pre-class talk was quite reassuring and I felt a sense of comfort sharing this experience with others, knowing that we were in this together. In the guided deep stretch class, we were first in the sauna for about 25-30 min where we did a series of breathwork and stretching, focusing on different parts of our body. The sauna was quite hot after a while and I was dripping sweat but the focus on the breath was a key factor in managing how I was feeling and the heat. After the sauna we were split into 2 groups where we did the cold plunge for 2 min (prior to the plunge you have to rinse off your body using the communal showers). I was so nervous about this part of the class but I was able to stay submerged for the whole 2 min. Having a focus on your breathwork was crucial. After the cold plunge we all gathered in the sauna again where we did several more breathworks and had a sharing portion to the class where we could talk about our experience if we wanted to. Last 15 min of class we were invited to do another cold plunge, stay in the sauna, or relax and drink tea/water. Overall, I had an amazing first experience at Othership. Will definitely return to try more guided classes in the future!

Well that is…read morekind of how I felt at the Spa at the Hazelton although my version of it would be "Services 10 . . . .Facility 3". Just know if you are looking for the total relaxing spa experience- you may not find it here. But you will get an outstanding massage or other service. After staying in the Hazelton Hotel- I had very high hopes for the spa as upstairs in the hotel- my every wish was accommodated. So when I took the elevator down to the basement level- I was a little surprised that I was not warmly greeted- rather I was asked what size shoe I wore and then the receptionist walked me into the small but functional locker room, pointed out my locker and left. I chased her down and asked where the waiting area was for my treatments and she said I needed to come back out to the reception area. Hmmm . . . .seemed odd but okay. Now I go to spas all around the world so I was familiar with the lock on the locker and how it functioned- but even a spa I go to all the time still takes the time to ask if I am familiar with the locking system. And forget reading the instructions on the inside of the door if you are a glasses wearing gal. A great spa makes everything effortless and that was just not the case here. I got changed and went back out to the reception area to sit and wait for my services. Again- this was a bit odd. There were 4 small seats squished into an alcove right by the check in area. So there were people coming and going the whole time I was trying to relax to anticipate my services. And then forget about relaxing there when you are finished . . . .the seats were full so there is no place to relax after your services either. They really need to invest in some type of space for this. The other thing I never even found was the pool and wet area. Turns out it's on another floor- so if you were thinking of a swim after your services- you will need to go upstairs. Another miss for me although there is a steam room in the spa area. Okay- so enough of the down side- let's move on to the stars of this spa and those are surely the services! I started with their scrub. Sarah, the technician was as great as the service as when we were finished- my skin felt like a baby's skin! And then after a quick shower- she massaged some wonderful hydrating lotion into my skin and sent me on to my next service. If there was any downside here- it was that the shower to rinse off in was back in the locker room area versus being in the actual service room which most places that offer scrubs do. I had to put my robe back on- walk past the reception area and into the shower and then back again to finish the service. And while I was escorted to the shower and given a new robe and slippers- it still isn't as nice as just stepping off the table, into the shower and back onto the table. My next service was an hour long deep tissue massage. Elizabeth was my therapist and she was also great! She took the time to listen to any issues I was having and then spent the next hour working on those areas. She also spent time after the service suggesting some things that I can do at home to relieve some of the stress in my shoulders. At this point, I would have liked to sit and relax somewhere with some hot tea but as I mentioned earlier, there really isn't a place here to do that so I just got dressed and left. All in all? Great services in a just okay location. And I guess I expected a little more than that from the Hazelton.
