First time coming to this nail salon and I loved it! Making it my new go-to. Came on a Sunday with a friend and it was pretty busy, I would recommend making an appointment beforehand. The place was sanitary and service was great. I showed Helen a picture of what I wanted and she replicated it perfectly. She's extremely detailed and recommends shape, colours and designs. One of the best nail experiences I've ever had! The place is big, sanitary and very nice - they have mani, pedi service and eyelash extensions/waxing services. Lots to offer at reasonable prices! Gel nails + extensions are $55! Jo was my nail tech and she did an amazing job - it was one of those fancier places that take care of your cuticles and give you a hand massage + hot towels after. They make sure each client is satisfied and happy! She spent a long time on my cuticles and never hurt me once, which doesn't happen a lot with my usual nail techs. She was patient even when I changed my nail colour a few times after the colour combo didn't turn out as I thought. She made sure I was happy with each step as she asked me if everything was okay every time she added a colour or layer. She also did an amazing job - she put the gel so close to the cuticles and it looks absolutely gorgeous. I think they can do subtle patterns and stuff too, but they have a large colour selection. I just wanted to remove my gel extensions and get some regular manicure done. Simple right? Then she started working on my nails and I saw that she wasn't really paying attention. I had to complain multiple times that she was hurting me, she acknowledged and stopped but I also noticed that she wasn't really removing my gel. So I then asked her please to remove it and she told me my nails could become weak if she removed everything. Ok, that's fair. So I said I would be ok in not removing everything IF my nails were EVEN, cause that's what we want right? Even and clean nails. However, she noticeably couldn't complete this easy task. Then I told her that if she couldn't remove it or make it even I was ok paying her right away and leave so I could go somewhere else to get it done. She shrugged and kept working on my nails and hurting me with the machine 2 more times. I was so over it, I just asked her to finish it. I saw that my nails were HORRIBLE but I said nothing else cause it could get even worse. She then finished it and this was the first time I didn't pay tip. I paid $35 to get stressed and to know that I will NEVER go back to that place ever again. End result: she couldn't remove my gel extensions as well as my black OPI REGULAR NAIL POLISH (as you guys can see on the pics). I'm very frustrated and my nails are hurting. To the nails professionals I just would like to say that it's more than OK if you can't perform a particular task, just be open e say it. Was on the hunt for a new, clean, and affordable nail salon when my friend and I saw this post with the great reviews. Unfortunately it was not so great for us. The staff are nice enough, and I liked how they lined the tubs for the pedicures, but unfortunately that's all they really had going for them. Shortcomings: We made an appointment for Saturday morning and while it wasn't packed, the experience was very rushed. They overbooked their appointments and rushed thru our Mani/Pedis . For $40 they didn't bother to soak our cuticles, or provide a decent foot scrub. The paint job was only so so as well. Don't bother going for the extra $3-5 for the higher quality OPI brand that the staff claim will last much longer and prevent chipping (see pic 3 days later). Won't be coming back. Walked in to the salon for a pedi & mani. I did shellac for fingers and regular for toes. The two ladies were working on my pedi and mani together , therefore cut the Time in half and didn't have to stay there longer. The salon looked clean, the basin they used plastic bag over and then threw out after each customer. The ladies were helpful in helping me choose the colours for my fingers and toes. And the hunt continues for a good solid nail salon... it was an ok experience, especially within the Markham area. I've been there twice so far: 2 weeks apart from each other with 2 different ladies working on my bio gel refills. The salon itself is cozy, clean, and nice to be in. The friendliness of the staff were very pleasant and enjoyable, especially if you speak Chinese. However, language wasn't the issue. Their work quality can most definitely be improved, as both times, they were slightly disappointing. First time, my cuticles were cleaned up with the machine (I prefer old fashioned soaking and clipping), the girl did not pick the exact colour I liked and basically forced me to get whatever was "close" to it, and lastly, in the end, I had tiny air bubbles, uneven coating, and messy fingers with dried up polish around my nail bed and surrounding area. Second visit, my finger got sliced by their nail machine/tool, bc the lady got distracted for a second. Although she did a slightly better job than my first experience there, I was not impressed enough from her lack of attention and again, even coating on my nail, leaving my nails looking super thick on one side more than the other. Overall, I am super picky about how my nails are treated, as I can also do nails myself, but, I'd like to get pampered every now and then. I just wanted to write an updated review because they are SO GREAT! My gel nails lasted for an entire month and there were no chips and no problems! Also everyone was complimenting my nails and, having compared it with others, I feel Signature does a great job! I also feel that all of the girls working there are very kind and experienced (they try to be as perfect as possible!), so you don't need to be afraid of walking in or having "any" one of them do your nails. I myself was a little pickier this time (if something was not to the way I liked it, I would tell the manicurist) and at no point did she make me feel like I was being annoying--she listened to my concerns and she fixed it. The customer beside me was also quite picky, but her manicurist also patiently listened to the customer's needs. Everything was, once again, very clean, and I left happily! Decided to give this place a try since it's 10 minutes away from my house & the place looked clean (unlike pmall). I went in to get a gel manicure done & the total came up to ($45 including tips, gel is $40, shellac $30) the manicurist that helped me with my manicure took her time to make sure my cuticles were attended to & the dead skin was off my nails after the post gel removal. I really liked how she made sure and went back to clean my cuticles and nails, but a couple days later I noticed I was getting A LOT of hangnails and the skin around my cuticles started to grow much quicker than all my other manicures did. (Only down side to this salon) The manicurist let me try on 3 different colours to choose from & and was super patient with me. They had CP24 playing in the background and were super helpful with all my decisions. They did speak English, but mainly mandarin & a little bit of Cantonese. They do use the machines to clean off your manicure & a machine to clean the very top of your cuticles, but they also did use the traditional scraping tool & the cutters. The manicure lasted almost 3 weeks before my left thumb started to lift & pretty much a couple days later bc I kept picking at it, the polish completely lifted and came off haha other than that this place is recommended ! read more

Now that I've been to other salons I can compare and really say that Signature Nails Boutique is the best at it's price range. I love that every utensil is sterilized and they take so much time and care into your manicure. Trust me, my dry winter fingers needed a lot of work and she was so nice about it. As many have written before the smartest thing is probably how they use a ziploc bag for each person's water dip to avoid contamination for the next person. I have been going to this Nail Salon for almost 2 years. The staff are very friendly, you are acknowledge by all the employees with Hello or a warm smile. Good assortment of polish to chose from. The Salon is very clean from the front door to the back door, which is very important in this business. Instruments are always clean for each customer. If you brake a nail and needs to stop by for a repair, they are very accommodating. The hand massage is wonderful very relaxing. I walked in and was greeted right away and had a lady waiting and all set up by the time that I chose my colour which is surprising for 6pm on a Friday. The lady took her time and was very thorough with my manicure which included a massage and hot towel. She did a very good clean up around the cuticles and good cut and shaping however would have preferred if the polish went closer to the cuticle line. Thought I'd try this new place out since it's so close to where I live (10 - 15 mins. walk). The people are really polite and friendly. I got a shellac manicure and a regular pedicure which took a little over an 1.5 hours. The lady was really precise and gentle. They also did keep cleaning their tools, which was good to see. It's very hard trying to find a nail salon in Markham due to the overwhelming turn over of nail technicians. My mom and I were desperate to find a salon who could do a good job for a mani and pedi for my sister's wedding. We ended up here. First off, I appreciated how on time they were for our appointment. We were seated quickly and they had a Saran Wrap around the basin for our pedis. They have a really large range of colours to choose from as well My pedi was nothing special. The massage wasn't really a massage, more like she was groping my leg. The my feet was not properly moisturized and became really dry after being in the fan for my whole appointment. My nails were a disaster. I told my nail tech that I'd like an oval shape. In English, because she was pretty fluent. She just nodded and without any hesitation started filing down the tops of my nail!!! She started doing a square shape. Im like ok, maybe I can try something new. By the end of it my nails looked so ragged on my left hand. The nails weren't properly shaped, my thumbs looked like an octagon. I had to google a picture and was like OVAL in Cantonese. She reshaped then again. My hands got 4 nice coats for my shellac mani and the colour is fantastic. I think she painted them very well. But that's about it. My nails were HUGE. She did not file properly but besides the fact they were round... all my nails were different shapes and sizes. My fingers looked like they had mutated nails. At that point I'm like ok no. I asked her if she was done and she said yes. At this point we've been here for an hour and it seems like that's their time limit. My moms nails were okay. Her nails have always been short so I thought her tech did a great job. But she showed me her feet the next morning and it seems like the cuticles and the top of her toes were extremely irritated. The only good technician was a girl named Jo as she had walk ins and people calling to book appointments for her. BEWARE! I had to spend an hour filing my own damn nails in the car after. read more

I'm dropping a star because the last visit left me looking for a new nail tech. My regular girl Vicky was unavailable so I had someone else do my shellac. I didn't catch her name she was older. Her work was ok not the best, just average. The hand massage that you get at the end, she did it with gloves on the same gloves she was using the whole time. So there was dust and other dirt on the glove which only made the massage feel worse when she rubbed lotion. Um no thank you. Also I didn't notice until I left that there was clear polish on my skin which didn't bother me too much since I could peel it off. But it's a sign of a sloppy job. Considering how much they charge for shellac I expected better. I found a better salon. I'm the type who gives myself regular manicures and pedicures. I rarely pay to have it done anymore as I haven't had acrylics or gels for years. This past winter wreaked havoc on my nails and more importantly, my cuticles so I gave this place a try. I love love love that they set themselves apart from the other Markham nail salons, in that they care about how their business presents itself. The cleanliness and decor that is missing in other places speaks to one thing and one thing only....$$$! The other places don't care about customer service or upkeep of their establishment. Pedicure review. Use to love coming here. Very friendly & nice. If you want an Express Pedicure, come here. I wanted a relaxing Pedicure. They filled the tub with cool water ( had to ask for warm water) while taking off old polish, no tome to soak. In. Out. Buff buff , nail polish on in 10 minutes. Commented on how fast & she forgot the massage. Added massage for 2 minutes after polish applied, time to dry. She apologized & gave me $5 coupon for next visit over $50. Use to be a fantastic place. HORRIBLE!!! Went for the first time to get gel nails/change colour and will never go back again. My natural nails were the perfect length when I went and I told her I didn't want short nails, but she kept cutting them and I kept telling her I didn't like them that short. Also one hand is shorter than the other and she even acknowledged this. She couldn't even do the shape I wanted. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND. I went there when they first opened like 2 years ago, and every time after one week I would have issues with the gel nail polish that I have to go back to fix it, in my 4 time the full gel peeled out and I stopped going. I thought I will give it another try and maybe they changed but unfortunately nothing has changed they still scrub the nails with the machine very hard to the point were you would have no original nail, and the gel color chipped of after a week , when I went to fix it the technician was every rude she asked me to pick the color which I did, unfortunately she put a different one for me and when I told her that its not the same color and she started arguing with me that it will not be the same color as this is new and the rest is a week old and she got upset but she toke it of and she told me to select the right one this time as she will not change it again, then she left me and went away and started talking in Chinese, so I started putting the color on my own and they didn't bother after I finished I just left. Today was my last time at this place! Manager did nothing expect let her customer yell at me! They charged extra 10.00 for taking off Dip Nail polish off...8 of 10 fingers actually! I could understand this if I didnt get a manicure. But I did I shellac manicure today. REMOVING Dip polish is the same process as Shelllac removal. No difference! I also referred to your location. I think this is the better nail salons I have been to. The only down side is far. This is the only place I go where my shellac can last me 1 month or because they did such a good job I am ok leaving it on for a month. In normal occasions if it chips even a tiny bit, I remove it myself.. so never really kept my shellac for more than one month. I recommend Ling. She's a cute girl and super nice !!! read more

Great service and great staff. I came with my MTL and we got our pedicures done. Great job on it and very friendly atmosphere.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the service. I had this lady Sarah and she did a good job. Will definitely go back.
