I have been going here for 3 years now! And I've always been so pleased with my results and pricing. They are able to do everything there which is awesome, if the technician doing your nails can't do that design, they'll get someone else and it always works. They have the biggest variety of polish, chromes, etc. That I've ever seen. For all 3 years I stuck by my girl Judy. She is so talented and always makes sure my nails are perfect. I've also gone to Sarah, who my sister loves, while Judy is away, and she is so incredibly talented as well. I just went in yesterday for my birthday nails and Sarah took 2 hours to make sure they looked perfect! (She did the nails of my first picture and Judy did the others). Every person I've taken there and recommended, has loved them there. I will say it does get crowded because they are so busy, sometimes it is loud. But for me that doesn't matter because every worker there is so sweet and they always remember you. They joke around with you, and customers are always so comfortable with them to make jokes back. Every time I'm in there I have great conversations with the other clients as well. This was my first time going to this salon. I called about an hour before I wanted to go and they booked me in for an appointment. I ended up being about 5-10mins late because of traffic. When i got there at first they couldn't find my appointment so they told me to sit and wait. I waited about 3 mins and she called me to sit in a chair. I got served almost immediately which was great considering how busy it was! I had a lovely lady named Windy, very friendly and polite, she did an amazing job! This place was amazing! Came here because the hours were longer than my go-to salon and I saw the positive reviews and they did not disappoint. I walked in and fortunately, they were able to take me right away. (I would recommend calling ahead and booking an appointment though, as it can get a little busy) I got a full set acrylic with shellac (I paid $30) and she did a way better job than my go-to. (Unfortunately I never caught her name) She was very gentle and knew how to strike up and continue conversations. I came here to get my cracked nail fixed on the recommendation of one of my business associates who works nearby. I had them done recently elsewhere and was not able to return to the original place. A gentleman redid that nail perfectly and added powder to strengthen the nail (they're weak and brittle from the winter). This is the first time i've ever came to this salon. All my friends told me that they do their nails great. Also, while i was at work one day, i was cashing out one of the nail techs (Chloe) and she told me to come and see her. So today, i came here. I made an appointment and they were very timely about it despite the fact that they were very busy. Before she started my nails, i told her what i wanted (UV Hard gel nails with one plain color). When she started to do my nails, i asked her how much it would cost & she told me $45 but the guy sitting next to her corrected her and told me $50. It didn't really bother me; i continued to get them done. When she was going to apply the gel, she pulled out a powder. It may be my first time at this location, but it's NOT my first time getting my nails done. They tried to tell me that the UV gel is a powder. Gel is GEL; It's a gel solution. As i told them i didn't want powder and i wanted gel, she then told me that they only have bio-seaweed gel. Although i did not want that cause of how expensive it is ($60), i decided to take it anyways cause i didn't want to ruin my natural nail. She started my nails and about 3 fingers in, i realized that she was not using bio seaweed gel; she was using UV Hard gel. When i brought it to HER attention, THE GUY THAT CORRECTED HER PRICING EARLIER, told me that there's only two kinds of gel: The powder & bio seaweed. I always get my nails done and i know there are WAAAY more than only two kinds of gel. Also, GEL IS NEVER IN A POWDER FORM!!!! Then, they really sat here arguing with me for 20 minutes about how they're using bio seaweed gel on my nails. I even brought it to their attention that the container they were using said "LED/UV HARD GEL". They continued to try and finesse and forced me to pay the $60 for something i never got. THIS PLACE IS FULL OF SCAMMERS! If you are the kind of person who gets acrylic nails, then i would recommend you go here. Their nail shapes are PERFECT! ...unlike their service. I had a pedicure and ombré nails done (by Danny). Both were done without rush and looked amazing. The reason for 3 stars is simply the poor ambience. The salon is quite packed with little distance beside stations. Also there were very loud customers which made it hard to relax. People were smoking right outside the door and the door was kept open allowing the smell to come in which also kinda killed it for me. I usually get my nails done in here and never unhappy. But the last time, the young girl that did my nails are very rough and loud. I pretty sure her name is Ruby. I wish I can give a 0 star for this store ngl. I've been coming here regularly for a year before I got my car as it is close to where I live. But I find myself angry/ unsatisfied almost every time after visiting. And my most recent experience made me certain that I will never be visiting here again. 1. There's no such thing as customer service here. They don't treat you as a customer, I felt as if I was just some animal being rushed around. A few months ago when I tried to paint my nails yellow, the guy who helped me was like "No, don't do yellow, yellow is ugly" When yellow was my favourite colour at that moment. I felt personally attacked. He said he won't paint it for me if I choose yellow as it's ugly. He even went on and asked customers around me if they thought yellow is ugly too and told them to convince me not to paint my nails yellow. I ended up getting blue glitter as he recommended and got it repainted somewhere else. Another thing is they always talk shit about their customers in front of them. They're not even shy to show it. They are super obvious and all of them will look in the same direction to the specific customer they were talking about and laugh. 2. My most recent experience was: I went to get a full set (fake nails, UV gel and shellac on top) They charged me $105 for it and they are not even that pretty but whatever. I got 2 stickers (one on each hand on my middle finger) and they started peeling the day after I got them done but I was like whatever. 2 weeks later, I went back to remove them and wanted just normal shellac. They didn't even ask before cutting my nails super short, I was previously growing them out on purpose so I don't have to do extensions anymore. The day after I got my shellac done, they were chipping and coming off. So I went back and asked them to fix it. When I walked in, they weren't too busy, there were 2-3 girls walking around, talking with other workers there. I asked them to fix it for me and they said that "We can't, it's not our fault, your nails are too weak, that's why they chipped" (Even though later on after we removed the shellac we realized my nails didn't even chip at all, it was all the shellac on top). I waited 45 mins, had 4 ladies went in front of me, until I couldn't stay silent anymore and asked them if it was my turn. They asked a guy that was sitting and talking with nothing to do to help me. I sat down and he asked me if I remember the colour I got, so I stood up, and went to take a look at the colours. 3 seconds after I stood up, a girl rushed another customer over and sat on the seat I was sitting on. Like WTF??? And she was just like "you sit over there okay?" and pushed me to the corner of the store where I was crowded with another customer on a single table. Super rude and unprofessional. They fixed it for me and didn't charge me for it. But my nails starting chipping again later that night. Will never ever come back again and I urge you not to go to this store as well if you don't want to be treated like you're not human. read more

I was in the area killing time and decided to go get my nails done. I did a quick google search of salons in my area and found D & K and decided to give them a call and see if there were accepting walk ins. A very kind gentleman answered the phone and asked me what services I wanted, and advised me that I can just walk in there is no appointment. My mom was coming with me to get a pedicure and I was getting a acrylic full set and a pedicure. As we walked in they took my mom to get her pedicure started and I started with my nails. I didn't get their names, but when I tell you everyone that my mom and I encountered at this salon was SO sweet. The facility was very clean and they used a sealed package of tools for the pedicure. This is definitely my new nails spot, its a little ways away from my home but the experience was SO exceptional its worth the travel. I used to go here quite frequently. Cheap prices compared to most places. I normally get a full set of acrylics for $25-$30. No tax if you pay in cash. Kim always did my nails - she was quick and efficient. Always did what I requested and ensured I liked the shape or colour before moving onto the other nails. She was very kind and remembered me from previous times - would ask about my work and make small chit chat. Only downfall is after a week or so my nails grow very quickly. With acrylics, they are thinker than gel or shellac. Need a refill at least every 1.5 weeks-2 weeks or else they look super think and chunky. Started going here this month after hearing so many great things about it and their prices. Overall, they do a great job on nails. I've gone twice now and my nails always get compliments. My only concern is the cleanliness of the place. It looks very dirty and I sometimes worry about whether they sanitize their nail tools because I've never actually seen them do it. The last time I did my nails (two days ago) I got a male nail technician named Danny. He did an incredible job on my nails. I ended up getting acrylics with shellac. However, once he was finished doing it my right thumb was in pain and I noticed a bit of blood under the nail. There's also a small hang nail on the side. I didn't really noticed the extent of it when I was there but now it's been two days and my thumb nail is in a lot of pain. I've made sure to clean it every night and put polysporan on it. I've been doing my nails for 6+ years and have never had this happen to me before. As I said, I'm worried about the stores cleanliness so I hope I don't get an infection under my nail. I was told to sit a a table that was covered in nail shavings from the drill and dirty nail tools were used to prep my nails.
