I've been passing by Habibi Day Spa for about five years now and have been curious about it, but I…read morewas happy with my regular places for facials, etc., and hadn't had any reason to check it out. I recently decided to try threading again - I'd not done it in about seven years - and after reading the positive Yelp reviews of the spa, I figured I'd give it a try. I appreciated the easy online booking, and although the owner fell ill the day before my appointment, she messaged me directly to let me know and we rescheduled to another time that was convenient for me. The space itself is small, but very nicely appointed and comfortable. The small waiting area is cozy and there is bottled water and tea available, as well as some nice products to browse. The treatment space is simple and hygienic, and her threading technique is very good - my brows look great! Also, she noted my super sensitive skin and suggested natural products that I could buy at a health food store, rather than trying to sell me on any of the products that are available for sale at the spa, which I appreciated. I googled the natural products that she recommended (diluted rose water as a toner and pure argan oil as a moisturizer), and there appears to be good evidence for both with respect to my skincare needs. All in all, a very positive experience and no high pressure sales tactics. Treatment pricing is a little on the high side, but no different than what I would pay at my other spas, one of which is in the area. I do plan to return for threading, and am now using the natural products, as well.

I'll keep this one simple and easy to understand…read more I walked in and was greeted by a very polite and beautiful woman. Antoanette - the owner of the business. The decor and ambiance of this wax bar was soothing and welcoming. She uses a lot of different types of waxes - she will show you the jar of different types of waxes all in one once you walk in. She explains very well why she uses different waxes and how it's different from other spas that use only one jar. It's very clean and she doesn't double dip. If you want a pain free Brazilian or bikini wax, this is THE place to go. I haven't been more excited and happy to talk about a waxing experience; definitely recommending all the ladies out there to try it out.

I probably waited a total of 2 minutes before I went to the waxing room, which was great! The esthetician, Shahina, waits in the room while you change, but she turned around. She also offers a cleansing wipe. She used 3 different types of waxes on me: a soft wax (with strip) and 2 hard waxes (dark blue and gold). For me personally, it was quite painful. However, she was so quick and efficient that the pain was most definitely worth it. My appointment was at 13:00, and I arrived just a few minutes early, and I was out of there by 13:13! No irritation or red bumps afterwords, just perfectly smooth skin. Overall pretty great experience.

No parking available except street or GreenP lots and they fill up fast, even during the week, so give yourself plenty of time to hunt down a spot. My appointment was a bit last minute, there was a cancellation and Julie squeezed me in. So I was a bit flustered when I arrived. But Julie was very nice and accommodating to let me go move my car from street (an hour is not enough time for the appt) to a GreenP. I had to sit and wait for someone to leave for a spot. Thank you, Julie, for being so patient and still giving me a full spa experience even though we started a little late.

I've spent a significant amount with this brand and always had positive in-store experiences. After recently moving to Guelph, I planned to continue supporting the company by ordering products online, as there is no storefront here. Unfortunately, my most recent online order was marked "delivered," but I never received it. The package was left unattended, and although a delivery photo was provided, I did not sign for or receive the parcel. When I contacted the company, they declined to reship or refund the order because the carrier marked it as delivered. My request to escalate the matter went unanswered. It's disappointing that a longtime customer was left to absorb the loss without any meaningful resolution. I valued this brand and intended to continue as a customer, but this experience has changed that.

Jeanette was professional, knowledgeable and she matched my personality. I particularly liked about her that she didn't push any of Spa's own and extensive, yet expensive line on me to but. She gave me a small ( but enough) supply of products I supposed to apply after procedure and overnight/ next day/ 24-48 hours, for free. I ended up purchasing a facial water ( specially formulated for after-procedure care), and I like that I had a choice to purchase different sizes of thos facial water. I purchased small, because I wanted to try it first. Overall, I fell at all time, welcomed, valued and appreciated. I especially like the feeling of being appreciated as customer by my esthetically and desk personel as well. I'll definitely return for Microneedling and/ or other procedure. Also, I'm confident to recommend this Spa to others. I received high quality treatment for price charged with appropriate attitude, care and appreciation.

You can sometimes walk-in or get an appointment for the next day, unless it's a Friday during the summer when you usually have to book in advance. This is my go-to place after I had a bad wax experience with an esthetician at another salon/spa. They pour the wax from a larger pot into a disposable tin, which is a nice touch. It pretty much drives the point home that they are fastidious about hygiene. You are in the room and out at the counter in less than 20 minutes. Prices are very affordable. $40 for a Brazilian, but they often have a special for $35. It's quite small--a few waxing rooms and two tables for manicures. I've taken a friend there and she only has rave reviews as well!
