I normally go for a Mani/Pedi and I've never been disappointed. I never get the same person either, but all of them seem to do a great job. I get shellac on the finger nails. I find it lasts for about 3 weeks. For the toes, I get regular polish, and it lasts about the same amount of time. Price is competive. After getting rejected at another nearby salon (with appt booked), I scrambled in here and asked if they were able to accommodate me. The ladies were busy with a bridal party but asked if I would be able to wait and they would fit me in. I was very happy with the shellac pedicure and shellac paint on my hands. I'm almost 2 weeks down and nothing has chipped or peeled yet. I recommend bringing your own sandals as they only have the flimsy flat paper sandals. Clean and efficient! The lady I had though was not very good at painting the polish but she was good at the other pedicure parts. I asked for a more experienced artist to complete the polishing. read more

It's your typical Asian Nail salon. Nothing special but at the same time, nothing super bad either. They were busy when I went in and told me it would be 10 mins - it turned out to be about 30 before I was in the chair. That being said - I flt like even thought I was made to wait, they still rushed through my pedicure and manicure. After leaving, the polish that was supposed to last for 10 days peeled after 3....not a great experience. read more

Wow - what a disappointing experience. I had my heel sliced by a scraper during pedicure and it began to bleed. That's not only painful but also dangerous. The aesthetician pretended not to notice. I left with different shaped nails (some were round and some - square), and a cut on my finger because the aesthetician was so rough during manicure. I went to get my nails done and they did not last more than a week. Hey lasted 4 days and they started chipping. They told me that it was basically my fault but that I've had shellac before and it hasn't chipped and lasted a lot longer than 4-5 days. So I went back to them and got my nails done for a discounted price and now the polish has made an ombré when it was supposed to be one colour. It's all yellow and the colour that I had picked. I can't even see my frustration meter because it's gone. I can't keep going to a place that every time I go something happens. I recommend this place, but I'm also cursed with this place because every time I go, something happens. read more

I have gone to a few nails salons in Toronto and I would not come back. I have been here twice and I got Shellac gel nails both times. It usually lasts 2-3 weeks before the paint starts to chip, but the paint started chipping the VERY NEXT day BOTH times. I think the nail polish they use here are subpar and do not stay on as long as those used in the other salons that I have been to. However, the service was quite nice - the ladies were really nice. There are quite a few salons in the plazas nearby - I would recommend you trying another place. read more

I went during the lunch hour with a couple other ladies from work for a quick pedicure. It was very busy but they were willing to accommodate us all. I can easily say it was the fastest pedicure I've ever had in my life. I was in the massage chair for about 15 minutes included soaking time. They gave my feet a quick scrub (the skin on my feet is in pretty good shape), applied two quick coats and then moved me to the back room to sit with my toes under the nail dryer. They did a neat job but the polish layer was very thin, which is probably due to the rush they were in. Still, it lasted a couple of weeks, so no biggie. I would have preferred that they made an effort to allow us all to sit together to dry our toenails. I was sitting in the back while the other girls were left in the chairs to dry. I will probably try again to see how they do with a shellac manicure. read more

I came in for a regular manicure. The lady started with filing my nails and cutting the cuticles right away, and did not even use the cuticle pusher. She applied 2 coats of polish which was ridiculously thin my nails were still showing underneath. She finished the manicure in under 7 minutes. If that's not rushing, I don't know what to call it. On top of it, when she asked me to choose a color of polish, I chose a CND brand. She then told me its $2 more, I asked why, and what is the difference between this brand and Essie or OPI. She said "i don't know". Worst manicure I have had so far, I am still on the lookout fir a good place. Until then, ill keep driving to Newmarket to my regular nail lady. read more

Do not go to this nail place. Ruby the owner lies. My mother and booked an appointment with her in advance at 10am to have a mani and pedi done at 2pm. We showed up on time and were told we would have to wait 30 minutes. I asked her why did she make the appointment if she had no intention of honoring it. She was rude and dismissive, said that is how we do things. Then she told me to leave. I was shocked at the atrocious customer service and embarrassed in front of the clientele. Over the past 8 Year I have always received exemplary service whether I've booked ahead or just dropped in for a quick fix. The owner Ruby is a class act. Well where do I begin, this was my 1st time going to Nails for You and it will be my last. I had to tell the technician twice that I had shellac on my nails & toes, as soon as she took off the shellac on my toes she started to soak them, in the meantime she started to buff off the shellac from my nails so all the remaining shellac that was on my nails ended up in the pedicure bowl where my feet were soaking, all I have to say it was disgusting, even the tech beside her was looking @ her in disgust, she was to fast did not do the job that I expected looking @ my nails today there are so many air bubbles, I just wasted $78.00 + tip, they just lost a good customer........................................ read more

Horrible experience would not recommend anybody. If you want a drive through spa service then this is the place. Mani pedi shellac. I was in and then I was out like literally minutes. My shellac gel polishes came right off after a few days. It didn't just chip the whole thing came off. Try it and find out. What a waste of my money! read more
