I DON'T RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING TO THE STORE OWNER TO GET THEIR NAILS DONE!!!!!!!!!…read more I have been getting my nails done in the past by Rose was and I was always happy with her (she is the second manager) I like that she was very patient, very understanding and always followed the direction of what the CUSTOMER wanted not what she wanted. However, the last time that I went, Rose was not working the other manager was working and I ended up getting my nails done by her. I told her EXACTLY what I wanted and told her constantly that I work in an office and I need my nails to be SUPER SHORT as I don't like long nails in general. She said OK, as she was working on my nails I would tell her repeatedly that they are long still and one of the hands nails does not match the other hand, one hand the nails are much longer than the other, she kept on telling me "no it's not, it's just you" again I repeated myself one more time to her and she wouldn't get it so I left as I was getting late for another appointment. As I got home it was bothering me ALOT, so a day later I went to her and told her if she can shorten the nail. When I got there, She was EXTREAMLY rude, wouldn't listen to what I had to say, she kept on making me to repeat myself OVER AND OVER and she started talking shit in her language with Rose and wanted to charge me another $15.00 to just shorted the nails, she was frustrated and REALLY wanted to make some MORE MONEY just to simply shorten it. Told her I was never going to come here again and that I will never forget this experience that I had with her. I normally never write a bad review only positive but this was something else, I can now see and understand why they are never busy and why they don't have customers. Go anywhere but here.

It's in the sketchy plaza across Markville and my sis warned me they're a bit aggressive and never on time for appointments. This was proven to be true as I waited 10-15 min- not too bad still. Christy is great, good with English and efficient. She did shave my cuticles by accident as she was shaving down the nail but only once or twice. They have lots of colours to choose from, powder or shellac or gel. Literally every cool nail thing you see on instagram, they have here - cat eye gel, holographic nails, chromes etc. She was super fast but good - gave me acrylics which ended up smooth but not super thick as most acrylics go. I prefer acrylics over gel because it's just stronger.. especially when you're dropping weights at the gym, ja feel? I've broken so many gel nails at the gym and I'm like ... y tho. These acrylics feel strong and durable AND they're affordable af. I paid $50 including tip. She also gives a nice little hand massage at the end, it's wonderful. I want to come back for a pedi! They have lots of staff and they also do walk-ins as well, which is why I think a lot of appointments are delayed.

I specifically said I wanted blue butterfly stickers to be placed on my nails and they said It would not be a problem. But as the lady started doing my nails she said they didn't have them which was confusing to me. As well as the person who was doing my pedicure was digging too deep into the nail as well as cutting the toenail poorly resulting in what is seen in the picture. Very poor service I will not be returning.

I'm really surprised that this salon does not have a presence in Yelp so I decided to write my…read morefirst Yelp review about my experience with this place. So I was in dire need to get a mani & pedi yesterday. I did some research on Yelp and located two salons. I walked into both and none of them can take me in cause they were fully booked. Given that I didn't make an appointment, I understand and left with disappointment. On my way home, I decided to pop into this plaza near Vaughan Mill Mall to try my luck with a random nail salon. That is where I spotted Serena Nails & Hair Care. The owner, Serena, greeted me as I walked in. I inquire about a shellac mani and regular pedi and she explained that its $50, but because I had gel nail on, it would be an extra $5. Sounds fair enough to me. I asked if I can get it done now. The salon was full but she somehow squeezed me in immediately. I had one person, believed his name was Minh, worked on my pedi right away. He was very gentle and took the time to beautify my raunchy feet. When it comes to painting my nails, I was not satisfied with the original colour that I selected and he helped me chose one that I was completely satisfied with. Then I have Jenny who worked on my mani. She was very patient when it comes to removing my stubborn gel nail and ensure that I was ok the whole time. She noticed the colour I selected for my toes and informed me that there is the exact same colour in shellec if I am interested to do the same for my fingernails. Of course I went for it. I didn't need to say or show her any photos of how I want my nails. I just simply said I want the "almond" shape and she got it right away! Oh did I mentioned that they offer one complimentary drink?? The owner Serena offered Vietnamese coffee to me and it was delicious! When she learned that I had to leave soon, she put the drink in a to go cup for me. Very attentive! Being in the service industry, I really value good service and this experience really blew me away! If you are in the Vaughan area and in need of a mani & pedi or just simply want to pamper yourself, then Serena Nails & Hair Care is the place to go =)

This place is my go to nail salon. They are quick, reliable and always do a good job. You get what…read moreyou pay for. Their refills are $30 from the last time I went (August 2020) and new sets are $40. Both are for two colors. Their nails last a very long time. My go to nail techs are Emily and Lucky. Emily is very skilled in shaping the nails and making it last a long time. Lucky is good at making nails look delicate and dainty. Both ladies are very talented. I heard that the guy who works at tang tang is also very good. My friends request for him when Lucky and Emily are busy or off that day. The people who work there are very nice and help each other out, which is really sweet. The people there take their time to do a good job, even though it's extremely busy at times. I suggest to call in to book an appointment instead of walking in. This salon is a good location to go to if you're looking for the Korean jewelled nail trends. But they can pull off basically anything you show them. Tang tang also has a loyalty card. When you reach a certain amount, you are eligible for a free jewel on your next walk in. Which is really nice since the jewels start at $5+ each. Another thing to keep in mind is that they ONLY do gel nails. They do acrylic removals for $10. From my experience going to tang tang's, I think their goal for long term clients is to maintain good and healthy growth in their clients nails (like all genuinely good nail salons). There have been a few times where my nails have cracked or broke from my own faults, but the ladies there suggested to only fix the broken nails rather than scamming you for a brand new set. If you have any concerns on damage to the nails or things you are unsure of, don't be afraid to voice out your worries. The ladies there fully explain to you the process and give them their opinions (if you ask) on the best nail maintenance and which options are the best wait to prevent breakage. I really hope that things start opening up soon so I can go back. I highly recommend this place to ladies who like getting their nails done. Or looking to commit to a specific salon. The staff have a really good eye and they really don't try to scam you like other nail salons do.
