Heidi did an amazing job with my lip blush. The overall process took about 3 hours. This includes…read moreboth the in depth consultation and the actual lip blushing. Heidi made sure to explain the process fully and carefully created the colour that I was looking to achieve. To help her with the colour I had in mind, I brought the lip tint that I normally used. She then crafted the colour with her pigments and ensured that I was happy with the colour prior to applying it. Keeping in mind that everyone's pain tolerance level is different, I did not feel uncomfortable or in pain during the actual process (numbing cream was used before the process begun). Heidi made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire lip blushing process. Upon completion, she thoroughly explained the healing and aftercare process. Again, keeping in mind that everyone's skin will react differently, my lips were pretty swollen after. However, as advised by Heidi, the swelling subsided after 2 days and the whole healing process took about 6 days for all the scabs to come off. Thank you Heidi for doing such a wonderful job!

While browsing places to get microblading done for my mom, I came across Oh My Lash and Brow on Yelp. What stood out the most, were the before and after pictures of Heidi's previous clientele. Add in the $250 for $450 voucher and the relative close distance to my house, and I was sold. Next, it was easy calling in and making an appointment for the next day; and Heidi gave useful directions over the phone, for getting to her unit number within the plaza - she is located on the second floor; & once you get up the stairs, there are large signs above each door in the hallway letting you know of which business is which. The overall process took about 3 hours, with the majority of the time being spent on the pre-procedure tasks including: initial information session on microblading, consultation, and sketching of the eyebrows. My mother is a very picky woman so they had to be perfect before we could move on haha - I appreciate Heidi's patience. The actual procedure took anywhere from 30-60 minutes and a lot of numbing agent is applied to the area before and during the procedure to eliminate any pain sensations. Heidi also continually checked in with my mom asking her if she was ok and/or feeling any pain. Another great point to mention was Heidi's obvious knowledge and experience performing this procedure. She gave us plenty of information in the beginning regarding risks, signs of infection to look for following the procedure, and she was sure to explain the sterility of the microblading tools she would be using. [Cool to note that she even staples the freshly opened package to each client's consult form.] With my mom and I both being nurses, we were very happy to see that detail and attention were put into the health safety of the procedure, which involves needles and the breakage of skin, therefore carrying a high potential of transmission of infections. Overall, my mom and I were very happy with the results, the entire process and this wonderful microblading experience with Heidi. She gifted us with another voucher to help spread the word and I will definitely be sure to pass it to a friend. It is well worth the time and money spent! There are different technicians, but everyone is excellent. They're perfectionists and meticulous. I can tell them what I'm looking for - and they'll definitely deliver. Unlike other eyelash extension places, they always understand what I want before putting lashes on me. Best of all, these lashes LAST. The full look lasts around 3 weeks for me (Which is a miracle. Admittedly I do rub my eyes, use cleansing oil, the whole shebam.) I don't want a "I bought $1 falsies from eBay and stacked them on my eye" look. What seriously surprised me is how light and fluffy they are - I expected heavy lashes which I can barely see out of (which is what my heavy mink lashes feel like) but nope! Even when you touch them, they feel like real thick lashes. My mom can't stop touching it and I've had mad compliments in the one day I've had them on. Tiana told me they're high quality lashes from Japan and you can definitely see and feel the difference. I am absolutely in love with the results! My short straight Asian lashes were transformed into the wispy fluttering lashes that I've always wanted! They looked completely natural as well and I received many compliments by friends and family on how great my lashes looked! First off, the atmosphere inside Moss was clean and fresh, and their lash stations were located in a very pretty area at the back of the store that was nice and cozy. My lash tech did a great job in making sure I was comfortable the entire time, and explained what she was doing so I was never in the dark about what was happening (even with my eyes closed haha). I got the Love Classic set and the whole process took just a little over an hour and a half. At one point I was so relaxed I ended up falling asleep! I will definitely be coming back to get fills when I can, and would gladly recommend this place to anyone wanting to amp up their lash game!

Since my family and I were staying in Markham during our last vacation, I wanted to find a nail salon in the city, which ended up leading me here (which I found on Yelp). There wasn't any information about price though on this Yelp page but am happy to add these photos of the pricing that I took when I arrived. I initially had made an appointment for Tuesday, around 2 pm the day before. However, my lunch with one of my aunts and uncles went longer than expected and so I had to call to cancel and ask if I could change the time to a later time. The girl on the phone was so kind and told me because I wasn't exactly sure what time I would be available to have my nails done, she suggested to call before coming in just so I would not have to wait if I was to do a walk in. So later that day, I called prior and the girl told me to come in, so I walked in around 4:55 pm and waited a little over 10 minutes before being asked to take a seat by an employee named Joey. I wanted to get gel nails, which is different from shellac nails for those that may confuse the two (especially since sometimes nail salons will use both words interchangeably but they are not the same). Shellac nails are kind of like a semi- permanent polish, which doesn't last as long (and also is cheaper than gel nails). But gel nails are a semi- permanent gel nail, which does last a few weeks longer. Gel nails cost $75 for a new set. I also wanted a design (I almost always get a design with my nails, which does cost extra but I don't mind), which I had a photo on my phone to show Joey. I told her what design I wanted for my ring finger and middle finger and the same on the other hand (so total of 4 nails that would have design). Joey told me that cost would be $75, in which she didn't charge me extra for design (so I made sure to tip her higher because of it). I liked that Joey took a photo of the design I had in mind with her camera phone so that she could refer to it on her own phone while she was painting my nails. Joey definitely is very talented and I just loved the design she had, as I picked an ice cream cone with sprinkles. She also helped me to find the right colors that I wanted (I wasn't looking for the exact shade and am pretty flexible). I really loved the way the design and the pink color I picked for the rest of my nails, as it really went with the ice cream theme. Although Joey told me that my nails would last 4 weeks, my nails lasted beyond that (and never chipped or lifted. Being in health care, I don't baby my hands and I also wash them constantly, honestly these were probably the best nails I have ever had done). The only reason I took them off was because it really need a fill since my nails had grown over. Joey told me that she had not done an ice cream cone before and she was also happy with her results too. Now this is my first time getting my nails done in Canada and am not sure if it is not customary to get a hand massage and lotion on your hands after a manicure or not. I didn't get one after this manicure but have always had it done with the nail salons in California and also in Hawaii where I have gotten my nails done. Not a big deal, but I wished I had brought my own lotion to put on since my hands were dry. But overall, I am very happy with my experience and would come back the next time I visit Markham in the future. Please note that they do accept credit card but there is a credit card fee.
