Went back today for a 3 week refill..Shen is oficially my lash fairy I was running late because of the snow so I texted her ahead of time and she accommodated me and even fed me some granola bars when I arrived because I skipped lunch haha then I just fell asleep while she worked her magic..woke up to beautiful lush lashes. Her lash isolation is on point and she is so gentle, lash retention is also good At the end she recommended I wait a bit and give my lashes a break to grow out as its the start of my lash cycle again and advised me to book for 4 weeks after next time. Shen is such a kind woman and I absolutely love what she did with my lashes! It was my first time getting eyelash extensions and I honestly could not have hoped for a better experience. Booking process: - My prom is on Wednesday and I messaged Shen for lash recommendations and to ask about the price late Friday night. She responded within 24 hours, I asked if she could squeeze me in to her schedule and thankfully she did. Before the appointment: - Shen messaged me the day before my Monday appointment with a reminder and a detailed description of where her place is. It's easy to find if you follow her instructions properly. During the appointment: - I arrived on time for my appointment and walked in on Shen taking care of her cute toddler. Shen asked if I needed to use the washroom first as the lash extensions could take some time. I told her I didn't need to and she led me to the room where she would be doing my lashes. It's a fairly small room with the recliner taking up most of the space in the center. Shen patiently talked me through my options and there were so many lash options (length, curl, colour, etc.) I ended up going with her recommendation and I'm so glad that I did. After we settled on what she would do, she told me to sit down on the recliner and oh my goodness! The recliner is so freaking comfortable I wish I had it in my house. - Shen put on a surgical mask and started off with cleaning my lashes and eye area. People are not exaggerating when they say that she has the gentlest touch because she truly did (I filled in my eyebrows before the appointment btw but that wasn't a problem and she didn't take it off). - Then, she asked me to open my eyes and she taped something similar to a cooling undereye patch on my undereyes. - Then, I think Shen added the glue to my lash line and started putting the individual lashes on my eyes. It was surprisingly comfortable and I drifted in and out of sleep throughout the process. - In the background, I could hear whatever show her child was watching in the other room and that made me feel really homey and at ease. - At the end, Shen brushed my lashes and took off the undereye pads. She asked me to slowly open my eyes and gave me a mirror so I could look at her work. I was so amazed and happy. Then Shen showed me the complimentary after-care package filled with her business card, instruction sheet, a spoolie, a sponge, an individually wrapped towel, and a lip balm. She also showed me how to brush my lashes with the spoolie. - Payment: Shen accepts cash, debit, and credit. - The appointment started at 5:00pm and I was out the door by 6:10pm so it only took a bit over an hour. Before the appointment, I asked my friends who went to other places for their eyelash extensions how long their appointment took so I could have an idea and most of them said about 2 hours so I was surprised with how quickly and how well Shen did my lashes! My friends even said that my extensions looked better than theirs and it only took half the time. - I could still feel and notice the eyelash extensions as I was walking out the door but I got used to the feel and weight about 30 minutes later and I almost forgot that I even had them on until I looked at my phone. Overall, I highly recommend this place and even though I only planned to have these on for prom and grad, I might just book another appointment for a refill because I love them so much! I haven't been to any other place for eyelash extensions so I have nothing to really compare it to but if you're wondering whether or not you should go here, just do it and book an appointment. I made my first visit to Shen Lash yesterday. This was after Shen being very responsive to my Yelp messages on pricing, options, etc. Shen sent me a message pre-appointment as a reminder and also with detailed instructions on how to find her. Post-appointment she also followed up with a thank you and some post-care instructions. I was really impressed by the level of care and customer service. Shen is located in Jenny's Powder Room at Warden and Steeles. Her facilities are clean with a fresh scent. Shen took the time to discuss the different options I could choose from with respect to length, curl, and style (e.g. longer lashes in the middle vs. end and the type of look that would achieve) at the start of the appointment. She had some sample pictures which I found helpful, too. In terms of the service and experience, I would say it was great. I opted for the first time customer full set special pricing at $60. It took 1.5 hours and calming background music played throughout, so I felt quite relaxed. She also uses some sort of under eye/cooling pad or something, that was certainly better than the surgical tape I'm used to at other places. I opted for c-curl, 11mm, with longer lashes in the middle to enlarge my eyes. I am very pleased with the results. I hope that they will be long lasting, so far, so good. Shen also provided me with a post-care kit including a spooly, a doe-foot applicator for removing remnants of eyeliner (which I don't use) and a sponge to pat/clean my lashes with. I've never heard of using a sponge to clean lashes but it's worth a shot. The after-care kit was much more comprehensive than other places I've personally visited. A full set of what I asked for is $80 at regular price, which to me is quite fair. Shen told me she works typically Mon to Sat from 11am to 9pm, which is perfect for me if I want to get lashes done on a week night after work. Location and hours being convenient is an extra bonus. Shen was my first eyelash extension experience and she did a wonderful job. It's been exactly 4 was tomorrow and they still look good. She had a baby since I got them done but hopefully she'll take clients on part time soon. Price was also great though I don't remember what I paid? $120? Maybe 130 where other places would charge $180 for the same volume? Got a mixed 3D set. This was my second time getting lashes done and it went much better than my first experience. Shen listened to my preferences and advised me on options. The lashes were fuller and last much longer than my first experience, which makes it a better value. I'd say my lashes were in tact for a good 5 weeks or so. Definitely not as full as week 1 but still noticeably there. She gave me a nice after-care package, including a stick of lip balm, which was a nice gesture. Even with a full set and consultation time, my entire appointment was about 1.5 hours. So glad the lashes are of quality AND she works fast. Only downside I'd say was how hot and stuffy the room was on a summer day. She had a few fans running and I'm not too bothered by the heat so it was still tolerable for me. read more

Found Shen via yelp and wanted to check her out because of the good reviews she's received. Her professionalism, skills and personality definitely reflect that! I have done eyelash extensions before with another tech which did not do a good job at all, which made me not consider it again. But this experience with Shen has changed my mindset about that. Shen was very skillful and extremely gentle and professional in what she does - she was very gentle when applying my lashes. Shen is the best at natural but dramatic at the same time luxury lashes . I have been getting my eyelashes done since 2015 and Shen is BY FAIR the fastest, most gentle lash extension artist I have ever gone to and i have had my fair share of lash artists over the years... most lashes come out looking fake and plastic like. Shen uses real Lashes and wont sacrifice length but still makes them look natural and fluffy. The Prices are beyond amazing especially for mink lashes and are totally unheard of! Shens unit is a little hard to find but once i did get there she greetedd me and showed me a book of different lash sizes & asked what i wanted. I noticed she had tons of variety for lashes, she even had coloured lashes and lashes with bling on them ! i chose d and c curl lashes for a cat eye look , she cleaned my lashes before we started and whatever she used to clean them smelt so good ! also she has been lashing for 6 years and it really shows ! the most gentle experience i have ever had additionally she added some tangerine orange smelling stuff on my lashes after they were finished and then fanned them. After that she put a protection coating on them and I was good to go ! the little aftercare package she gave me WAS THE CUTEST !
