William broke my sliding door window with a weed-wacker back in April. It was an accident. I was willing to work with him and didn't want him to feel bad about it. He said he would pay for it, and I trusted his word. I didn't have the money for this, and neither did he- I tried to set up payments at his convenience. I even paid him $170 for his hard work on my overgrown patio perimeter while I stood next to my large broken window. I trusted William would make it right. I had to come up with the money to pay for it and let other things go unpaid. This presented a real hardship for. I had to save up initially to even pay for William's help with the yard because I hurt my back. We have broken appliances that need replacement/repair- I barely make ends meet. I live paycheck to paycheck. I go without alot. I don't even have a stove / oven that works, have a broken clothes dryer and dishwasher, etc. we can't even cook food in our oven, and I had to instead try to come up with more money to fix this broken window. William drives a nice truck that is a practically a decade newer than my car. He promised me since April 2024 that he would make a payment, and he never made any. I have been so patient and understanding, and now for the past 3 months he won't respond to my yelp messages asking for an update. He kept telling me different stories about being in Mexico as to why it was taking so long. When he said he was in Mexico he was also receiving payments in Venmo for completing gardening jobs. I dismissed this because I figured maybe he was just stalling so he could have more time to make more money. I gave him time. I found a glass door company that tried to help that would give a small discount if paid in cash. $780 total price. I was going to charge it but cc interest is around 29%!! It had been about a month with a broken window, and William said he would bring $300 deposit the day the glass people came. He never showed up. I went above and beyond to be fair. I wasn't even going to leave a bad review that I really hate doing, but after all the lies for 8 months now, I feel other people should know. This was the second time I hired William, despite his work being subpar, as I still had to struggle to work on my patio to finish the job after he left, both times, but his price was reasonable for the majority of the work and I really needed the help. I also wanted to help him build his business because he initially seemed like a nice young man and I thought the more jobs he did, the better he would become. He said his Venmo doesn't work, but I see him getting paid on venmo by other people and the posts even show him paying other people. I will update my review if anything changes. I really hate writing bad reviews. I try to never give a bad review and to resolve things directly with people if there is a problem because people make mistakes, but I still can't believe he would do this to me. If William rights this wrong, he will change my mind back to believing he is that nice young man that just made some mistakes. Please William make payments for the broken window, it is not too late. read more

Meant to leave a review sooner! William was a great find as my husband and I were in need of someone to quickly clean up a hedge that fell on our neighbor's yard. We were immediately impressed by William for his prompt attention to the matter and thorough communication with us the whole way. William is not only dedicated to his work but doing the job well which we truly appreciated. So much so that we've already called William three times and plan on continuing to do so with more regular maintenance. read more

As you can see from the attached before and after pictures, William did an amazing job at the most reasonable price, and his work is 100% guaranteed. He pulled up my dead lawn in one day, and he laid down the new sod in one day. He also cut back a huge fern in a way that it will grow back even better than before. Not only did he install my beautiful new lawn, I hired him as my permanent gardener to maintain my entire property. I HIGHLY recommend William. I couldn't be happier. read more

After reading the reviews left by other yelpers, I was hoping that I would have a different experience. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Landscaper came once to mow the front lawn, back lawn, and trim the hedges. After the first visit he said he couldn't finish because he didn't have the proper tools and would come back the next day. Next day came, excuse (he locked his keys in his car), day after (he had to take his mom to the doctor), 2 days later (no child care). Excuse after excuse. Unprofessional and unexpected. He cancelled the same day he confirmed and left his mountain of trash. Our one mistake was paying him for the one portion of work he did. 1/5 only because he came the first day to mow the front lawn. Find another landscaper. read more

They deleted my yelp review twice because they don't want people to know how bad they are. -For yelp moderators, this sounds like I'm just writing a really bad review but I have texts and pictures to prove all of this if you want. I followed all the guidelines too. I want the world to know these guys are very, VERY bad. So here it goes: I paid them for initial clean up and they did okay. Did somewhat what I asked them to do. Then when it came to weekly service, they kept making excuses. I got 1 service in 3 months. Every week was a different excuse. Truck broke down. Someone died. Tools were stolen. Wife is pregnant. Baby was born. Wife had depression. No one to babysit baby. Wife got sick. Wife's C section opened up. Car broke down. Tools were stolen again. Still acquiring tools. Never got a second service and I was ghosted. read more

William responded very quickly to my request for quote and actually gave me a quote based on the photo I submitted. (Not all did) William was a very flexible about the day and was available right away. Showed up when he said he would and texted multiple times about plans in general, so good communication. Price was very reasonable and I added a little more for a good experience. read more

Amazing service and we are very satisfied with their work. Quick response within 15 minutes and stopped by the same day I requested a quote. They offer an affordable price. (To be honest, It was a great price) Mr William Nicanor did a great job and professional work by trimming trees, brushes and others. I highly recommend this landscape service. Thank you for your hard work William! read more

We should have not tried to continue with his service from the moment he was not able to commit to his time. It only got worse from there. He promised to trim the big tree and it has just never happened. I heard landscapers are not reliable but this is just unacceptable. We don't have anything urgent but he keeps ghosting even after committing to a timeframe. Recommend everyone to look elsewhere for their landscaping needs. read more

Needed to have a lot of weeds removed, contacted William for a quote and he responded within about 15 minutes. Quote was reasonable and we settled on a day/time to have the work done. Communication was great leading up to him and his crews arrival. Had the work done in no time and it looked great. Highly recommend! read more

Never, ever use this business. Had a time sensitive landscaping issue where my HOA had given me a deadline to complete. It was rescheduled at least four times and was finally completed on the last day. The actually quality of the work was average but nothing extraordinary. I then tried to set up recurring landscaping and again it was rescheduled twice so I canceled altogether and found a reputable company, which was more expensive. I know that landscapers in general are unreliable but this was next level. read more

Spoke to William with Nicanor Landscape regarding a trimming and skinning a few of my Palm Trees. He had the best quote out of everyone I spoke to. And responded to all my questions even after 5pm. For the best price I was so pleased with his work. Highly recommend and would use him again for all my other tree trimmings too! read more

William is responsive and reliable and showed up when he said he would. We had 2 trees chopped with complete stump removed, including clean up a haul away. His pricing is reasonable too. Highly recommend him. read more

I've had to change my rating because, as others have mentioned, William is not dependable or reliable. I hired him for another project, during which he took my $600 deposit, promising to use it for supplies. When it was time for him to return and complete the job, he texted me on September 12, 2024, stating he would be out of town for his grandmother's funeral in Mexico and would finish the project upon his return. He mentioned he would be back in 3-5 weeks. It has now been five months, and despite my repeated attempts to contact him, he has ghosted me--no responses to my texts or calls. read more

made an appointment. Never showed up, no calls to cancel!!!! I am really disappointed waiting all Sunday! read more

I needed my adjacent driveway to be cleaned up and have the mulch replaced. I hired him because he was available to do the job at the earliest date than other companies I was looking at. The first red flag against him was he canceled our agreed time on the same day of the appointment but said he could come by the following day. Gave him the benefit of the doubt and agreed to the following day. Second red flag was that he came by later than promised. He finally showed up and cleared the weeds and replaced the mulch. However, he used a sub par mulch that had a strong unpleasant odor probably due to improper storage. The mulch was piled in the back of his truck uncovered with no packaging and looked like a pile of fertilizer. Probably stored that way which is why it had a strong odor. Anyway, as a handyman, he's ok but as a landscaper, meh. Probably not licensed. You get what you pay for but even then, I think I was gaffled. I went to Home Depot and found a better mulch at a more reasonable price and finished the job myself. Buyer beware. Cannot recommend for jobs that require more than cleaning up weeds. read more

They did a great job clearing out the vines in our backyard. Would recommend if you want the job done quickly efficiently and at a good price! read more

I had an excellent experience with William from Nicanor Landscape. Not only was he prompt in giving me an initial quote, he was very communicative and responsive throughout the project. He took out three trees for me and went above and beyond from beginning through cleanup. I can easily recommend him to anyone and will absolutely use his services again in the future! read more

I absolutely recommend this business! The two guys trimmed 6 trees at a very reasonable bid. The trees look amazing, and they cleaned up nicely. Communication was great (provided an estimate via text, let me know their ETA the morning of the job, etc) read more

Great service, fast response, excellent work and clean-up. Cost affordable. Trimmed 3 x 20-25' trees and removed another for half the cost of other quotes I got. read more

Very nice guy. Was very responsive and thorough in completing our tree trimming, with very reasonable pricing. He mentioned that he also does general landscaping maintenance/yard work, so we will likely be utilizing him for that work in the future as well. read more

I reached out to multiple companies for an estimate for a tree removal, including the stump. Nicanor responded quickly and provided me a very competitive price compared to others. He was able to come out the following day and completed the job in timely manner. Nicanor completed the job just as I explained to them and met my expectations. After removing tree and stump, employee hauled away all debris and cleaned up entire area. The employee was respectful and professional and I would definitely hire again for future landscaping jobs. read more
