Brian is very non communicative and bordering on rude. Waited weeks for him to do work ups paid for an evaluation to fix Wi-Fi issues and upgrade projector and remote systems in my Airbnb executive rental. Brian never followed up with Quotes, or the things I said to proceed with for pricing when we talked. I texted, emailed , left messages for several weeks . No response!! finally got a auto text response after 4 weeks saying he's with another customer, and that he would get back to me, but he didn't even do that ! either this company has too much business or there's some level of incompetence happening that I am unable to understand. I would say to anyone wanting to use this company. There are much better options out there. Fortunately , the money paid for the evaluation and quotes he never completed was refunded. So happy with Sarah and her team for transforming such a small space and making it so whimsical and elegant. Needed help making Mayflower Chinese Restaurant in the Great Mall look like a wedding and Sarah did exactly the job. The single gobo lighting on our 12x12 dance floor helped a lot and the added bubble machine made it so fun and sweet during the cake cutting. The hardest part about weddings is finding vendors and working with the right vendors. I am so excited for my own wedding next year and to use BWiebe again. Hopefully I will have more events in the future to use them as my vendor as well. read more

I'm shocked it has taken me this long to review BWiebe Events. Nonetheless, here it goes... This company is fantastic! I can speak from both a professional and personal perspective. I organized a festival for several years. When I took over coordination, I switched over to using BWiebe Events. I used them for sound and staging, and THEY helped coordinate tables and chairs with another vendor. Thank GOD. As someone who plans events, I consider tables and chairs one of the most annoying logistical pieces. I was grateful for BWiebe handling and delivering them. Here are the benefits I found from a professional standpoint: 1. Organization: I consider myself very organized, down to every detail. Brian was incredibly flexible, and frankly patient, with my requests and plans. I never had a problem with wondering if something would be completed or the quality of work. 2. Transparency: Brian was clear from the beginning of what he would need from me. There were never any surprises. If he needed a schedule, he asked. If he needed a map, he asked. It made me feel better that he took that care for my individual event, and sincerely wanted everything to go well. 3. Flexibility: Anyone involved in event planning knows you HAVE to be flexible and the best laid plans...could very well fall to pieces. Brian was always cool and collected, and never made me feel that the event would fail. He would never tell me about an issue without having a solution... What more could you ask for? On event day, you have zero time for problems. You need it handled... and he did. Many more... but I'm not done. Because I knew the company and how awesome it is, who else would I turn to for my most special day... my wedding! I enlisted the help of BWiebe Events without hesitation. Here was my experience: 1. Experience: I was so scared to plan my wedding... I'm talking anxiety. Brian met with me and discussed my vision. Thinking about lights and (the always annoying) tables and chairs was not at the top of my list. Immediately, Brian could sense my anxiety and began talking me through it. He had tons of photos from past weddings and let me select and choose what I liked. From what I selected, he developed an initial vision... which was more than I ever imagined. 2. Site visit: Brian came with me to my wedding venue (where he had planned an event before), and you could see his eyes light up. He is so creative! As we walked through he had amazing ideas for what to do with empty space, how to activate particular areas, and lighting that would make the space "pop." I always say you shouldn't tell a carpenter how to make a table... let's be honest... I had no idea what I was doing and he helped me so much! However, from my experience with previous events, I know that if I was a bridezilla... he would have made it work (but please don't be mean to Brian... he's a great guy!!) 3. Logistics: as always, no concerns with implementation of plans. Brian killed it. I gave him everything he needed, and I could continue on with my wedding day knowing it would be handled. 4. Flexibility: I had one vendor at my wedding who was frankly the worst decision I made. There were a LOT of issues. Brian handled them so I could enjoy my wedding. He was incredibly flexible. Him and my DJ worked together for location and implementation of random event pieces. Super cool to see! 5. Set up: I had my wedding at a park and we needed to set up and clean up the event as well as the (again...ANNOYING) tables and chairs. I expressed my concern to Brian (...who wants to worry about setting up and taking down tables at their wedding?), and he told me it was a service he offered in addition to the lighting and decor. Phew! Another thing off my plate thanks to BWiebe Events. The last point I will bring up because this review is already so long (saving my favorite for last)... 6. Personality: Brian is genuinely a great guy. So are his staff! His general calm and cool personality on event day is sooooo appreciated. He is incredibly professional, not to mention funny and respectful. I dont think he gets enough credit for the behind the scenes work he does. I dont know how his staff manages to stay in the background and make things happen without it feeling like they were there at all. They hang out in the background and hit the ground running when needed. Frankly, you'd be nuts not to at LEAST contact them if you are looking for event services. What's the worst that could happen? You can't get what you need? Doubtful. He won't have ideas? Impossible. He won't follow your plans? From experience... not the case. What's the best that could happen? You have a service you can rely on for an incredibly successful and beautiful event. You feel supported and heard.. you'll be able to sleep at night. We found Brian and Amber at close to the last minute - we had a misunderstanding with our previous decorator, and had to scramble to find someone else quickly. They put together a great lighting design that included string lights hanging across the entire ceiling of the sizeable auditorium, and "stars" projected on draping against the walls. The execution of the design was breathtaking and exactly what we wanted. On top of that, it ended up raining on our wedding day and we had to move the ceremony indoors - again, a last-minute development. Brian went back to his office and brought us additional lighting to help transform the dim room into a beautiful space for our ceremony. Pricing was a little more than we intended to spend, but they were very flexible and let us trim down the contract a la carte. The ambiance they helped create made it worth every penny. I give 4/5 because they were a bit lacking on communication. It took a while to hear back from them for a quote, which was distressing especially since we were down to the wire. At times there was a lapse of a few days before we got a response to a question. However, we're glad we stuck with them, because the results were absolutely fantastic! read more

Surprised that this company is even on "the knot's" feature vendor list since they don't even deserve a star. I am so utterly disappointed and cannot believe how unprofessional this company is. If you are a Bride planning your own wedding, then don't even bother. I wasted 2 months on these people and to this date, I haven't gotten a call back for a final quote? Thank goodness for having backups cause if this is before the wedding, can you imagine on your wedding day?! They are so unreliable and irresponsible. I cannot believe that even after so many attempts on my part, gave them the benefit of the doubt, they didn't even have the common courtesy to contact me to say, "hey, here's your quote"...nothing... Terrible business practice and terrible customer experience. Regardless, the fact that I had to come on yelp to complain and vent my frustration, speaks volumes on itself. They obviously don't care about weddings ( or if you're not spending over gosh knows how much) , because it seems that they always apologized for being busy with some huge festival or big corporate gig that had consumed their time, and that's unacceptable to me. read more

Working with BWiebe Events was a breeze. I hired them for my outdoor wedding lighting. BWiebe Events did the Bistro lights and spot light for the wedding cake. Brian agree to do an onsite visit before the event and answer all my questions. I changed my mind on several occasions on what type of pattern and location of the lighting I wanted and Brian was very patient with all my change request. As every bride on a budged would do I price-checked a few vendors and BWiebe Event had better pricing and far better customer service. Their payment breakdown made it so easy compare to other vendors who asked for everything upfront, Brian only asked for half and the other half was due within 30 days after the wedding. On the wedding day everything ran smoothly. The experience of his team of technicians showed during setup and breakdown, they were in and out really fast with no problems at all.
