UPDATE (next day) Five stars for the amazing follow-up customer service. Alex and Lina stayed in touch to answer some questions I had and to address each of my concerns. We need more businesses like this; I felt heard and valued. We were already impressed with the service but now we are just blown away by the customer support. Previous 4-star review: I found this place through Yelp and it was my first time getting my home professionally cleaned. The workers were efficient and thorough. There were 2 cleaners and 1 team lead (Lina). Lina helped manage time and convey my needs and wants to the cleaning team. They were kind to my dogs and my daughter and it was an overall great experience! I was even able to tack on an extra half hour on the day-of due to how dirty my house was. For rates, I was initially quoted an incorrect hourly rate which another employee caught and they corrected right away. Very great service! I didn't give 5 stars because of some admin concerns I had. For one, the virtual walkthrough meeting was recorded without my consent and I have no idea what they will do with that video. They also have a time/rate minimum (3 hours) which was not communicated to me until the virtual meeting, so just FYI. I also paid for services in cash but they didn't have any change so I paid a little more but that could be a problem if I only had the exact payment plus bigger bills to cover the extra time. So I recommend making sure you have the exact amount for the service and for tips and maybe some smaller bills if you think you might need extra time. It was easy communicating my specifics of the deep cleaning for my kitchen, guest bathroom, and hallway with Alex. I was impressed with Lina and her team. I have contacted 10+ cleaning services for cleaning my restrooms. The baths and sinks were heavily covered by scales. 'U Clean Me' was the only company that confidently said they could remove it when most of the companies said they cannot. I was initially doubtful because it was so dirty, but they proved that I was wrong. They were so professional and thorough. First off I would like to thank STAR Cleaning and Moving for their professionalism and friendly service. From the office staff, to the management and the incredible cleaning staff, it was a pleasure! Just a little history, we lived in a 4 bedroom, house with a kitchen, dining room and living room for five years. My wife and I raised 2 teenage daughters, 2 dogs and 4 cats in that house. When we decided to move, we cleared most the house and started the clean up process ourselves. After three hours cleaning one bathroom, we threw in the towel and decided to look into cleaning companies. So I jumped on Yelp and reached out to all the top rated companies that had reviews of families that were in our situation. STAR Cleaning and Moving reached out immediately and answered every question we had. They also explained everything that was going to be done and the cost of the cleaning. They worked with us with the dates and we're very accommodating since we were on a tight timeline. As the cleaning date arrived they let us know exactly when they were arriving and even asked if they could show up a little early. We were greeted by the supervisor and staff who were very friendly. They were understanding that we still had a few things to do around the house and were very considerate about working around us. They finished cleaning around exactly the time they quoted us for and wow, the house looked just like when we first moved in. Something that would have taken us a couple of days was done in a few hours. I wanted to write this review right away since it was such a pleasant and rewarding experience. The house looked amazing and we saved days of cleaning ourselves. I decided on waiting until we received our deposit and what a pleasant surprise. I pretty much kissed the deposit away after five years of wear and tear, but after the cleaning service I had some hope. To our surprise we received our full deposit back! I know receiving the full deposit was not 100% due to the cleaning service, but I will guarantee you it was a major part of us receiving the full amount. I hired these folks to clean an enormous place (5 bedrooms) that hadn't had professional cleaning in many years as a move-out clean. This was made to be a higher difficulty because I was the first tenant; we needed to return it to like-new condition. They showed up on time, their estimate of the scope of work was almost perfect time-wise, and their crew was absolutely efficient. I went into this hoping maybe I'd get half of my security deposit back -- there were some especially gnarly areas -- but they left it looking brand new. And I received my full deposit back! They were able to shampoo and sanitize the carpet, and thoroughly cleaned the bathrooms and appliances to look new again. We used couple of cleaning liquids to get rid of stains but it became worse after using the liquids. So decided to try cleaning with U clean me. Cleaning team was great but the quote guy, Alex , charged me a very different price than what I was originally quoted. Some items such as windows, I miscounted which I expected to pay more for so that's not their fault. However, the carpet cleaning price was more frustrating. They should have asked for photos instead of surprising me with an additional $100 tacked on after they arrived because they felt it wasn't as clean as they had expected. It felt very bait and switch to get business. Alex offered an $8 discount after I expressed this to him and I found this comical. Total cleaning was more than $600. Unfortunately won't be using them again because of this sour experience. read more
