Wonderful, professional and exactly what is needed! I struggled to find a company to install 4 Ecobee4s for my very old Victorian home which has a boiler, forced Air and 2 air conditioners. It isn't a simple and most HVAC companies were very arrogant with me and have very little interest working with me to perform the install. Basically if it wasn't easy, they didn't want the job. Vince and Matt on the other hand really wanted to help and truly love home automation and understand wifi and smart home gadgets as well as HVAC. Wow, what an great company! My friend just got Google Home and I thought it was really cool so I wanted to get one for my place. I'm new to all this smart home stuff but Nextech was super patient and more than happy to explain it all to me. I ended up buying Google Home and LIFX lights and they are awesome. I can actually change the lighting in my condo just by talking! They helped me with the setup and everything works perfectly and is really easy to use. Matt was excellent. I've been working with him for several years. I sent him a note one evening late and he responded next morning early to schedule an appointment that same morning. He arrived ASAP and found that it was simply a blown fuse vs. Nest issue. He Is very honest and offers professional advice. My experience with Nextech made me want to shout from the rooftop that everyone should do business with them. Seriously, this was a level of service that very, very few companies provide anymore. I had installed two Nests myself, but I wanted to integrate my whole-home humidifier which I couldn't do on my own. I requested quotes from three Pros on Nest.com; Matt from Nextech responded first and gave a simple and very reasonable quote; another responded days later but wouldn't provide a quote by email, and one didn't respond at all. The choice was obvious. It only got better. Matt showed up precisely on time, was professional, polite, clean, and most importantly knew his stuff. He figured out the ancient mess of wires and gear in my condo HVAC room, got everything installed and working, explained everything I needed to know plus a couple of bonus tips unrelated to the humidifier, happily addressed a follow-up issue by phone, and then sent a follow-up email to be sure everything was in ship shape. Once that part was complete and ordered, the scheduling of installation was effortless and earlier than anticipated. On the day of installation, the technician was on time, courteous and efficient. Let me start by saying this: I'm a pretty tech savvy guy but even then, I prefer keeping certain things old fashioned such as my home. Or so I thought. As a member of our condo board, I attended a condo expo here in Chicago and stopped by Nextech's booth. I spent about 30 minutes talking to one of their guys and after addressing some of my concerns, he sold me on turning my home into a "smart home". One month later, I have a Nest thermostat, Google Home, 3 Nest Protects (smoke and carbon monoxide detectors), an outdoor Nest security camera, and 3 LIFX bulbs in my kitchen. These guys came over, installed everything, and taught me how to use everything in a way to bring down my energy use and spending. Plus, my condo now looks pretty cool with all these high-tech gadgets haha. By the way, if I'm being honest here, as great as these guys were, I wasn't planning on writing them a review but last night, my Nest thermostat stopped working and was giving me an error on the display. I called Nextech and they walked me through some basic troubleshooting but unfortunately my thermostat still wasn't working. Here's the thing though....much to my surprise, the guy I was on the phone with was at my front door 20 minutes later to fix it. He figured out what happened and fixed it within 15 minutes. Now keep in mind that yesterday (12/26/16) was an observed Holiday and it was 7:30pm. Very impressed with the level of service these guys provided. How can I not write a review for them after that??? So to sum up....I highly recommend Nextech Energy. Thanks to their expertise, I can monitor my home, control my kitchen lights, adjust the temperature, feel safe, and have my questions answered conveniently with my voice or my smartphone! =) read more

So glad I found Nextech. I have been wanting a smart thermostat to replace the dinosaur we were using in our Lincoln Park townhome for about a year, just never knew who to call. So after a quick yelp search I found Nextech and read thru their reviews. There is a reason they are all 5 stars, these guys are great. They responded to my first message within a couple of hours and i had a quote later that day. Less than a week later we had an appt for installation. Matt installed 2 ecobee4 units and connected them to my humidifiers as well. He walked me thru the programming of the smart thermostats and answered all of my questions. While he was working on the furnace there was a question about a potential gas leak. He had someone out to our place to do a full assessment within an hour. For a mom of newborn twins and a toddler this was Amazing and super comforting. Luckily no gas leak, just a Busch League setup in my furnace room which they helped me cleanup. Matt followed up with an email a week later to make sure all was working well. For sure 5 stars for Nextech, would call them again without a doubt. read more

After a few months of suffering a powersharing issue between my Nest and my A/C fan, I finally resorted to calling Nest support. I got a quote from Matthew from Nextech and he stopped by to fix the problem after we discussed the problem in more detail. Matthew was professional, friendly and diligent with his work. Can't put details on what exactly he did to fix it (not really good at retaining the details) he explained what the fix was, made sure that the nest was working properly, checked a couple of things with my A/C system, provided good advice of some of the measures I should take to prepare of winter! Nextech was referred to us by a neighbor, and we were very grateful! We had been wanting to install Nest Thermostats in our home for two years, but we were told by our building engineer, other heating & cooling professionals, and the Nest web site that it was not possible because our unit has a three-speed blower fan (the Nest site says only two-speed fans are compatible). However, Nextech WAS able to install the Nest thermostats and we DO have access to three speeds on our fan blower. That's because Nextech Energy was informed on the latest capabilities of the Nest thermostat and software (even when the Nest website was not updated to reflect these updates). Nextech was professional, courteous, on time, and helpful in educating us on the capabilities of our Nest thermostats. Our two thermostats were installed (along with a thorough training on the Nest system) all in approximately 90 minutes. It's rare to experience this high level of professionalism, knowledge, and service today. And the price was very fair. Highest recommendation! read more

So very happy with my new Ecobee's! I live in a building that was built in 2005. The thermostats were horrible! I am so happy now to live in a unit that is in this century. I can talk to my Ecobee and ask it questions and operate the thermostats from my phone. Matt at Nextech Energy did a great job of explaining the Ecobee's and helped me decide which ones I needed where (I have a large condo and needed five.) and where to place the sensors.
