Our 8 unit HOA had a great experience with Stefan. We had exterior security lights (back of building and in a gangway) and interior emergency stairway lights installed. Stefan was quick to respond and schedule a time for the initial walk through. The quote was fair, no surprises at the completion of the work. Stefan arrived on time for the job and did a great professional job. We are very happy and will definitely call him again. Highly recommend. read more

We had a great experience with AC/DC Electrical Construction and Stefan. He upgraded our service from 100 to 200 amps, inside/outside grounding, new meter box with new wiring, new panel box, breakers, and even installed a new switch for our door lights. Stefan was awesome to work with -- quick to respond, on time, and super clear with communication. Pricing was straightforward and very reasonable, and there was no pressure or upselling, which we really appreciated. Our house had some really old electrical/conduit, and the finished work (both inside and outside at the electrical box) looks so clean and tidy. He even called me before leaving to ask where he could find a broom so he could sweep up. That level of care and pride in the job says it all. We'll definitely be calling Stefan again for smaller projects and eventually, when we're ready to add EV charging. Highly recommend! read more

We had 2 lights installed front/rear up near the top of our house. Work required a 38 to 40 ft ladder to reach. Ac/dc had no issues going that high and got both light fixtures installed perfectly. Excellent communication and great work! Will hire again! read more

Called Stefan for a breaker issue and he came out the next day, fixed our minor electrical issue and only charged us half the price of what another electrician was going to charge! Quick, easy, speedy service! Will definitely use again! Thanks AC/DC read more

Installed hardwired EV charger for my new Ford Mustang Mach-e. They were able to do the job the next day and even came back at the end of the day when the Amazon delivery with the charger arrived. Very nice job that included adding a panel to handle the 60A future max and the car is charging at 10kW now. I am using a ChargePoint Home Flex that I purchased with the 6-50 adapter, but they were able to remove that and install it hard wired at my request and as stated in the instructions. ComEd currently is offering $2500 rebates for install and charger so get yours done now even if don't have an EV yet. read more

Stefan was terrific. Highly responsive to the requests fair in price, quick to execute and he went above and beyond to help beyond the original request (replacing an outlet). He has become my go to electrician also for both my residential and commercial needs. Highly recommended! read more

Very responsive and high quality work. The only reasonably priced electrician I found. Stefan told me upfront that he might not be able to get the job done because the parts were discontinued. Instead of coming out inspecting, then trying to charge me a service fee - he found a solution, bought the products same day and only charged the cost of the materials. All labor costs remained the same. Highly recommended!! read more

Stefan was recommended to us by our neighbor. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue and replaced the failing parts right away. We had used another electrician previously who couldn't find the issue, so we are very impressed by Stefan's skills. Also very reasonably priced. He'll be our go-to guy in the future. read more

Stefan has installed EV charging for me at two different properties. He's always very friendly, prompt, and does excellent work.

Great experience with AC/DC Electrical. Stefan was on time, professional and took care of all of my electrical projects. Highly recommend!

Stop looking. Hire Stefan. You won't be disappointed. I put out my project for several quotes through Yelp, and I got a mixed bag of responses. Stefan was the ONLY contractor who didn't jerk me around. When he came out to discuss the job, he had a plan, a schedule and I was very comfortable with his approach. Hired him on the spot... cancelled other contractor visits. The work he did was top notch. He used proper materials, and even stayed late to get the job done. No shortcuts. Cleaned up after himself even though it was a long day. Can't say enough good things. Just call this guy. Look at his other reviews and pics if you don't believe me. read more

We had AC/DC add a new electrical hookup for an AC unit. Stefan was responsive and did great work.

I had a ceiling mount projector with an ugly-as-sin extension cord running to it. We have been looking for someone to install a ceiling outlet. I actually gave up on it. A previous electrician said he would need to run conduit along the outside of the wall and then install a box unless he could access the attic, which was too hot and shallow for him. For years we lived with it. Now we have a baby and it isn't a good idea to leave it this way, so I crossed my fingers and submitted a Yelp blast to several providers. AC/DC was one of the first people to respond, and they responded with a reasonable flat rate amount. I thought it was worth a gamble and asked him to come the next day. When he arrived he had a 4 foot ladder in hand and preceded to cut a channel, run conduit, install outlet, and cover the channel with drywall as quick as can be into our 9 foot ceiling. After being told no by at lesser 2 electricians it was great to get the work done, and done to code in just a couple hours. Thanks AC DC! You rock (sorry dad joke)! read more

Stefan did a job for us in May. He was great to work with. He was able to help us out in a pinch and was able to finish the job is a very short amount of time. We had to figure out a problem with an outlet and how to install another. He offered a good and fast solution for us and gave us suggestions we hadn't thought of. I would definitely recommend him. read more

I needed a couple things done. I had a GFI that kept breaking. AC/DC was prompt and replaced the GFI with a heavy duty one and voila no problems since!! Additionally I wanted a smart doorbell installed and they did a fantastic job snaking the low voltage wire to get the electricity to the doorbell so you can't see it!! I'm very pleased on both jobs!! read more

Quick, professional and only charged me for the time he spent even though it was less than the original quote. Great communication and tolerant of me being not the best communicator. Stefan was very responsive, upfront in his messages, made himself available quickly. The work itself ? Can't think of a way it could have been better. He very proactively dealt with some hiccups on the way that was not his fault (bad fixture delivered). Quick and efficient. read more

Stefan did a great job installing a NEMA 14-50 receptacle in my garage. He was the only person who was able to run the new wiring through the existing conduit and not need to cut the drywall, unlike all of the other companies who visited and provided estimates. This resulted in less work needing to be done and lower costs overall. He even discovered that my breaker box was not up to code and was able to easily address it as well. read more

I hired Stefan to install a 240v outlet in my garage, replace some faulty GFCI outlets and install a few smart switches. He was responsive, transparent and efficient. The 240v outlet required a breaker which wasn't readily available but he did the research and found it a distant home depot which added incremental hours to job. He continued to maintain a positive attitude throughout the process and finished the job during the same day. Highly recommend his services!! read more

AC/DC was prompt in responsing and I would highly recommend them. I wasn't sure as I was using yelp for the first time to get a contractor, but I would trust the reviews for AC/DC! Stefan kept me up to date on his arrival time, and I was easily able to schedule with him. He was able to do the work the same day after seeing the nature of the job (I wanted to install extra outlets). He answered every single one of my questions - no matter how stupid or little they were. After working, Stefan explained to me what he did, and why it was safe. He also made sure to clean up his area of work and dispose of any trash/waste that he created. Stefan was super professional and responsive, and I'd recommend him for any electric work! read more

Stephan was great from beginning to end of job. I had a last minute rush job to do in my upstairs. Stephan was quick to reply, reasonable with his estimate, communicative throughout the day. Stefan was prompt from beginning to end. He responded in a timely manner to the initial inquiry for quotes on Yelp, and was timely in all follow up communications. He provided a fixed fee for the work. He came on-time and rapidly assessed the work to be done (replacing under cabinet lights, replacing wall switch). He also provided an alert on a GFCI wall switch that was likely to fail in the near future. I happened to have a spare outlet, which he installed for no added cost. - saving me a future trip and inconvenience when the outlet failed. He worked quickly and cleaned up the countertops (from dust when drilling) when he was finished. He explained the controls on each fixture, as well as noted that the dimmer switch causes a buzzing sound from the lights (Home Depot told me that this was the correct switch for the lights, turns out it is not - it works fine, there is just that buzzing sound). Stefan was a pleasure to work with - I recommend his services. read more

Our ceiling fan stopped working and it was quite a while before we could find anyone to complete the repair job. I contacted Stephan and he responded quickly, was straight forward with his pricing and willing to take the job immediately. So happy with Stefan's work!! I needed to have 2 lightings installed where none existed prior. This required electrical wiring, and cutting of the walls etc. Stefan responded promptly to my inquiry via Yelp, and asked to see the work to be done. He told me he needed to estimate the cost of materials required, and called me with the estimate the following day. I selected him because his price was below average, he provided prompt feedbacks, and was very respectful and organized. I was not disappointed! He performed the work with such ease and cleaned up nicely. He even replaced the whitewall he removed... just waiting for a painter to do the final touches. I was so happy that I referred him to my Mom as well. Will use him again and again for my electrical works, and will refer him to anyone wanting a hassle free and near perfect finish! read more
