Greenline Electric - Foyer updated light - Electricians Near Me

Great communication, reasonably priced and excellent work. Easy process from beginning to end.

Edward is as perfect an electrician as they come! I've used him countless time for small projects, like replacing light fixtures, and large projects, like replacing an entire panel, running electric for an EV charger, and extensive work for landscape lighting. He's incredibly thorough and knowledgeable and always gets the job done correctly and safely. I've referred him to countless friends and neighbors and they've all had the same experience! read more

They installed my ceiling fan well. They did damage my wooden floor doing it, but arranged for someone to come and fix it.

They did a very good job, really nice team of guys you can feel comfortable with. Went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right.

Edward was great. Very understanding of my specific circumstance. He was willing to try and squeeze in a late appointment to help me out. When we were able to get a time that worked for him to go to my rental property, he took care of the job quickly. My tenant even texted me unprompted that he was very professional and did a great job. I found him to be honest and fair. read more

Very thorough work installing an outlet for a new dishwasher to ensure everything is up to Chicago building code and even hopped on the phone with me to confirm a few details with the manufacturer. Great communication and everything is working smoothly, highly recommend! read more

Edward's crew installed an EV charger in my garage back in January. Initially it seemed to work okay, but after about a month, the breaker that was installed for the EV power circuit began randomly tripping if the charger was configured to pull greater than 20A. The breaker was rated for 40A. Last week our EV charger stopped working completely. I called another electrician who came out and found that the breaker that Greenline installed was faulty and looked much older than a few months, and suspected that they installed a faulty breaker they had lying around instead of a brand new one. The rest of the job seems to have been performed adequately, but I'm irritated that I had to pay for another electrician's service call because Greenline seems to have cut corners on a critical component. read more

Greenline was prompt and easy to work with from the start - sent over some times that would work and showed up right on time. We were having issues with the outlets on one wall going dead and Greenline was able to diagnose the issue quickly and get it fixed. They were also able to assess a standing desk (powered) that had suddenly stopped working and helped us get in contact with the manufacturer to submit a warranty claim on the internal motor components. Highly recommend to anyone in the Chicago area who needs an electrician. read more

So I reached out to this company through Yelp about a month ago. At first they seemed quick to respond and willing to help but I still do not have a response for the work I wanted done. A gentleman contacted me and asked a few questions and then gave me a time and date to come look at the house for estimates. He was late to the appoint by nearly an hour due to a car appointment running over longer than expected. He gave me some solid advice saying to look into my internet provide to get the work installed (I did, but tried again with no luck). I did appreciate the recommendation. I thought it was sweet. After researching my internet provider again. I texted that same gentleman about getting work done. No response. I texted him again about 2 days later only to be given a number of someone else because he was out of town. I called the number and left a voicemail only to be never contacted. I spoke with a representative who asked me a few questions about the work I would like to have done. He would not make an appointment with me over the phone. He told me to text my address and request to him and he would get back to me to schedule an appointment. After I sent the information via text, he never responded. I followed up again several days later, still no response. read more

great work on several light fixture replacement. I just broke something and need you guys back out actually!

I live in a real old house in Oak Park, tried to replace the possibly just as old light fixture on the porch myself and ran into a lot of rust and stripped wires and stuff I was not expecting so I knew I needed professional help. Edward at Greenline had Esteban out here in just a couple of days (would've been even sooner if I was available) and the job took 15 minutes and it looks great! read more

All around great first time experience. I called on a cold snowy night and the owner had someone (Leeroy) out to me within a couple of hours. Leeroy was great, and fixed my issue with my outdoor GFCI outlet almost instantly. So thankful to have a great electrician in my phonebook now! read more

Edward was awesome. He came, figured out the issue with my microwave and some wiring (it became ungrounded). He found a solution for right now and explained what I needed to do for next steps. I am always an anxious mess over anything electric (the idea of a fire scares me), so I appreciated his calmness and explanation of the facts and solutions. read more

I can't praise this company highly enough! We'd been struggling with a temperamental home-lighting system--in addition to one overloaded socket from an installation carried out before we moved into the apartment. Thanks to Greenline Electric, perplexing lights are now beaming again, and funky wall fixtures have been normalized! Esteban carried out very complicated work with true expertise, great efficiency, and great friendliness. All very illuminating (!); great! read more

We had issues with an outdoor outlet nuisance tripping during heavy rain, even after having a new cover installed. Unfortunately this outlet shared a circuit with our bedroom and office outlets, so the tripping caused heavy disruption. It was particularly bad very early one morning after a stormy night, which left me scrambling at 7:15am trying to find an electrician. Greenline answered immediately and was able to come out later that afternoon. After some troubleshooting and exploratory work, the recommendation was to put the GCFI outlet on a dedicated circuit to prevent further disruption. They came back the next day and did so quickly and efficiently, and even replaced the cover with a more durable one. They also thoughtfully replaced our old and worn bedroom light switches and a scarred outlet for free - I really appreciated their thoughtfulness here. They did all this for a very reasonable price and were easy to work with and communicative every step of the way. I highly recommend them if you need any electrical work done! read more

Installed 2 outdoor outlet boxes on rooftop deck. Excellent work. Clean and paid attention to the details. Highly recommend.

Brian came out and was very quick and helpful to fix a broken switch that had our garbage disposal out of commission. He was very professional and great working around our kiddos. This is my third time working with Green Line and I've been very happy and impressed with them each time. Thankful to have found a good electrician as they are in high demand and hard to find near us; I'm recommending them to everyone! read more

They're the only ones who would even answer my calls, and their prices are fair! They got here at 1:30 or so, and stayed until the job was done! Btw, that was on a Saturday. Another electrician was even brought in near the end to help Eduard, and the price was still very fair! I recommend these guys! read more

Edward and his crew had been exceptional. They worked on our investment property to bring all electrical issues to code compliance. I can't say enough about Edward, he is honest, goes the extra mile to make sure everything is completed with promptness. He understood our deadlines and needs, he made it work no matter how challenged he was. Greenline Electric is very reasonably priced and provided a very fair estimate. Edward puts his customers first and did not fear the many challenges he was faced with. Edward is knowledgeable about his work, keeps customers well informed, professional and an absolute delight to work with. I would highly recommend Edward and Greenline Electric for all your electrical needs. Thank you Edward! Ann Marie Morici read more

Over the weekend a pretty rough storm came through and worked a number on my front porch light causing a short to occur and loss of electric through the entire upstairs of my home. After ruling out a blown fuse, immediately, I was concerned about the safety of my home and what costs might be associated with this type of repair. But unfortunately, it was a Saturday and I knew it might be difficult to have someone come out right away without it costing me an arm and a leg. After doing a search, I was lucky enough to have found Greenline Electric, Edward answered the phone, put my concerns at ease and within an hour was at my home, with an assistant, and ready to evaluate and take care of the issue. He was very upfront about the cost of the visit and gave me all available options at a fair price. He and his team were knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful. Once he addressed the safety issue, he had indicated he was going to come back early the following week to finish weatherproofing the front porch light, now that the safety issue had been addressed. And just as promised, he reached out to me a few days later and came back to finish the job. If you are in need of an electrician who will take the time to find and solve your issues at a reasonable price (even in stressful, emergency situations), check out Greenline Electric! read more
