T&D was fantastic the entire process - prompt, clear about needs and price, and professional. We had two sconces installed in our primary bedroom and a ceiling fan replacing a chandelier. Initially scoped to have it all done in a day, the initial technician walked me through the complexities of hanging the sconces (mostly, wood in the walls requiring some workarounds and clever drywall cutting). As such, the ceiling fan had to wait, but David from T&D called me immediately and said he was able to secure another technician for the next day. Each of the two technicians were great - communicative, cleaned up after themselves, and asked preferential questions of me about how to approach projects instead of just drilling and destroying willy-nilly. I'm super happy with how it all turned out. We have some drywall repair to do anyway from a previous leak in the bedroom, so having some small rectangles cut through the wall were hardly a big deal. I plan on using T&D again in the near future and recommend them to anyone. read more

Working with T&D was a flawless experience from start to finish. Denise scoped the project with exceptional attention to detail. My ceilings are 21 feet high so scaffolding was needed to remove a fan and change out several LEDs both on my ceiling and balcony. (Note that other contractors' estimates really botched the plan on this.) Greg and Alex were amazing! They assembled the scaffolding twice with lightening speed, replaced the undercabinet lighting in my kitchen, and changed a switch. They were so fast and efficient that my project came in under budget. Greg is a true expert when it comes to electrical work. Having worked with electrical contractors for decades with some mixed results, I can't recommend T&D Electrical highly enough. Their price was very reasonable. read more

Very prompt, professional service. Helped replace a light fixture for me as well as an outlet. Would recommend!

I have used T&D electrical for a couple of small projects in the past and had very good results. Today I had 2 phenomenal electricians -Rodrigo and Jose - reworking out rooftop lighting after having a new rooftop deck completed. It was a full day job through light on and off rain. Both were very kind. They did great problem solving, were kind and the results were fantastic. I highly recommend this company. read more

Got a 40 amp cable and circuit for a new Induction oven. Quick and professional. Scheduling was easy. Would definitely recommend

We requested several quotes for an electrical job at our home- new electrical box installation in a 16' tall ceiling along with a large chandelier-type light. The quote wasn't the lowest we received, but the company just seemed to understand or communicate better than the other companies. Rodrigo promptly rang our doorbell at 7am, and assessed our situation. He constructed a scaffold in our stairway for this project. He treated our house like his own house, and was continually cleaning/vacuuming debris. For one of our light switches he recommended a wireless switch due to difficulty of box installation, and we love it. We highly recommend this electrical company and will bring them additional work when we have new electrical jobs. Rodrigo is a superstar electrician and customer service representative. Awesome company, impeccable work! read more

T & D Electrical - Installation by T&D Electric! We love it - Electricians Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

T&D did good work, but were wildly off on their estimation for the project. They went from one of the lowest estimates I received to the highest by far by the time the project was done. And because I requested an addition to the scope (that took less than 4 hrs to complete), it gave them to freedom to charge me 8+ hrs over the estimation. They also 'accidentally' billed me for an extra $1000 of materials. All in all, went from a great experience to pretty bad one. I won't be using them again. If you choose to, just know their estimates don't mean much. read more

I've used T and D twice for general household electrical work. On time, diligent, friendly, clean, efficient, and fairly priced. In both cases the technician was able to answer questions unrelated to the work I ordered, in some cases making minor adjustments to the polarity of outlets and tightening up part of a vintage light fixture. Highly recommend! read more

Jose installed two fragile pendant lights for us. He was on time, efficient, and cleaned up after the job was finished. (It should also be mentioned, Jose seemed like an all-around nice/great person. Couldn't have asked for more!) Actual cost for the project came in at a lower price than the quote. I will call T&D if we need an electrician again! read more

T&D added a hardwire outlet for us, which we learned was quite a project, and they were truly amazing. The two members of the crew were professional and nice, and they went above and beyond to finish the job without making a mess or requiring us to patch up drywall. They were really informative and explained exactly what they did. We will be using them again. read more

I highly recommend T&D. They were professional, informative, and efficient. I will be calling again for all future needs.

I was in need of a good electrician. Basically, I needed my outside light fixtures replaced with Wyze camera light fixtures that I had recently purchased. So scrolling through Yelp reviews, I found this company to have the most positive reviews. So,I called up and Denise set up the appointment, she was very friendly and accommodating with the scheduling. The electrician (Miguel) arrived on time, he was very knowledgeable and efficient. A job well done. I will use them again for all my electrical needs...Five Stars! Highly recommended... read more

Great first experience with this company. Everything went like clockwork; easy to set up appt and get a quote, good communication on day of service, electrician solved the issue with my outlet wiring quickly. All around good communication and service, would recommend! read more

I hired this company to fix several safety issues that had been identified during my home inspection. Overall, the experience was good. The contractor was very friendly, and meticulously cleaned up debris from the work. There was one issue that gave him a great deal of trouble - the 3-way light switch in my kitchen had a highly irregular configuration that the electrician spent several hours troubleshooting and couldn't figure out. Eventually, the electrician gave up on finding a traditional solution, so we had one of the switches removed and converted to a battery-operated smart switch. It was a slight bummer to pay for that many hours of labor only to end up with a cheap solution that I could've done myself. After doing a bunch of follow-up research and reading, pieced together with some of the observations the electrician passed along to me, it seems we had a wiring configuration known as a California 3-way, which is a pretty unsafe & not-to-code setup. It was probably done that way to save a DIYer or handyman from running an extra wire 20+ years ago. I possibly could've saved several hundred dollars on this project if the electrician was familiar with this type of "work", but it makes sense why they weren't. I may hesitate to return to them myself as I'm sure any future electrical issues I have will have been caused by DIY nonsense, and I probably need to find a pro with experience unraveling these types of issues. But I would not hesitate recommending them to a friend. read more

We needed to find a new electrician after the one we had been working with for 20 years retired. Very pleased with the work the T&D Electrical electrician did for us (replacing a ballast in a fluorescent light fixture, replacing a kitchen light switch). He arrived early, explained what needed to be done and did it leaving the areas clean. I appreciated the clear communication with the office before the visit as well. Delighted to have found excellent new electricians! read more

I have been planning on doing a variety of electrical work at my house for a few years. I easily got over half a dozen quotes from various electricians. T&D not only gave me some of the best prices, but I found their customer service to be top-notch. All the work they did was on time, and on budget. Good customer service and honest pricing. I highly, highly recommend them. The high marks they get on Yelp are well warranted. read more

Rodrigo arrived early and stayed until all of my concerns were addressed. Ours is a very old house with lots of interesting surprises behind switchplate and outlet covers. He patiently tested everything and made many necessary adjustments to our wiring. Rodrigo was very respectful of our home too--he arrived with shoe covers and cleaned up thoroughly as he went from room to room. We are very pleased with T&D Electrical and Rodrigo's professionalism and expertise. All in all, this was an excellent experience at a reasonable cost. read more

Very quick and efficient service. Scheduling was easy and I was able to schedule an appointment smoothly. The technician arrived early in the estimated time frame and notified me before hand an exact arrival time. I had an outlet installed in my utility room and the technician was in and out in under an hour. Pricing was fair and my ultimate cost was less than the estimate. Great work! read more

Top notch. Needed help wiring up a 4 way switch that I couldn't figure out. Doru came in, sorted it out efficiently and quickly. No time fluff here like you get with a lot of places. He even listened very patiently to my stupid electrical adventure stories, lol. Would gladly hire these folks again if the need arises! read more

Here's how amazing T&D is. We were in need of help at the last minute this morning at one of our locations which they were able to make it there within an hour! Then a few minutes later we were in need of a fix at our other school! So basically two emergency visits on a Friday! I am so impressed with their customer service and willingness to help! Highly recommend! Thank you!! read more

I have used T&D for a small repair, a medium wiring/lighting upgrade, and a large 200amp upgrade job and everything has been "five-star". When I called for the repair at 8a.m., Miguel was here at 9:30 and done by 10:30. For the lighting, they listened to what we wanted, provided a fair and prompt estimate and did the job as planned. The service upgrade has also been flawless at every step - no surprises. And it's not just the technicians like Miguel, Rosie and the office team are accessible, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. read more

They did great work and cleaned up after themselves. We've used multiple different electricians and have struggled to find any that actually clean up after themselves. Very happy with T&D. read more

These electricians really know their trade. We had a terrible storm last night. some of our outlets in our kitchen were not working. I called T and D and they sent me an electrician who came out right away. He walked outside and saw that the outlet by my deck was completely soaked. Like a doctor he thought about the problem, diagnosed and solved it in no time by fixing the wires and the replacing the outlets. I so appreciate his work. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

T&D Electrical once again quickly solved my problem with the expertise they bring. My refrigerator seemed to stop working over the weekend. It was the outlet so I thought. Since T&D was closed on the weekend, I got a local electrician to come by thinking he could just replace the outlet. That did not work, and he told me a rat ate the wire to the outlet. Sent him packing. Not so! Got an appointment with T&D quickly and it was a breaker that needed to be replaced. Problem solved. Use experts like T&D if you want it done right. read more

I had a great experience with T&D. We scheduled over email and they were very responsive and clear in what was needed for a quote. I had a Chandelier hung, a ceiling fan replaced and a new ceiling fan installed. The work was done very well and efficiently and coincided with the expected quote. I would absolutely use them again. read more

T&D is our go to service provider. Our latest project was to upgrade the electrical service to 200 amp and new 16 circuit 100 amp breaker panel for our two-flat. Marianne is extremely responsive and helpful. Marcus provided a detailed body of work and walked us through the process well. Greg has serviced us on two separate occasions and is on time and professional. We recommend T&D to our friends and family and would not hesitate to use again. read more

extremely honest and customer focused! Highly recommend! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

I had circuit that kept tripping the breaker and I couldn't figure out why. Upon contacting T&D, they were able to send out an electrician who was diligent at looking through my electrical setup and was able to identify and resolve the issue. He also recommended improvements I should make in the future. This was a very small diagnostic job, so I can't speak to their quality or value for larger projects, but I did feel that the cost for this initial work was reasonable. I will be contacting them in the future for my upcoming projects. read more

We had an issue with our garbage disposal and were having a hard time both diagnosing the issue and getting an electrician to come out. I called T&D based off referrals and they were able to get me an appointment the next day. Austin called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way and then immediately got to work. They were fairly priced and I didn't feel like they tried to prolong the work to get extra money out of me. I would definitely call them again and recommend them to other! read more

This is the second time I used T&D and I cant say enough good things about them. They are prompt, reliable and professional. Speaking of the most recent visit, the technician found the problem within 5 minutes of starting work. (It was a bad switch) In order to make use of our time for the service call, we had the technician put some new electrical sockets around the house that we never got around to. And he was so prompt and professional, we really felt the value of his visit. Thank you T&D for being quick, prompt and thorough. We will call you again as you are our GOTO electricians for any job, small or large. read more

I had T&D Electrical quote for three outside/external flood lights (including one smart one) installed, and they were spot on in their estimate. Miguel came out and did an excellent job superbly figuring out the best and most efficient way to get power from the inside outside. I found T&D through a few review sites (Yelp, Angie's List, etc.). From the start, they were responsive to my requests for information and pricing. They took a proactive approach to ensure they understood the work that needed to be performed and even went as far as to send someone out to review the work prior to putting together an estimate. The cost of this visit was later applied to the work performed. Even more impressive than the communication was the effort that went into completing the project on time and on budget. Our electrician was Rodrigo. He worked 12 straight hours on the first day he arrived without taking a lunch to ensure we would have power restored within the same day. After leaving the house at 7pm, he returned the next day promptly at 7am to finish the job. It's extremely rare that you find this caliber of service and work ethic in the trade industry. Overall, the communication and work product combined resulted in an above average experience with T&D Electrical. I would highly recommend them to anyone seeking a professional, hard-working, and efficient electrician. read more

Miguel, from T & D, came to our condo to repair a water heater's 230 volt circuit switch in our utilities closet. He was on time, courteous, and took appropriate Covid safety measures. As I was without hot water, they made a special effort to get the work done in less than 24 hours after I initially called. Miguel worked quickly to successfully replaced the switch. As with the first time I used T & D, the work was done professionally and in a courteous manner. The cost was very reasonable. I feel fortunate to have found a great electrical service and will definitely use them again as needs arise. read more

I had a couple motion sensor closet lights installed and two dimmer switches installed by Rodrigo. He did good work. I supplied my own 2 dimmer switches because I already had them and I was told in an email by Simon that the motion sensor lights would be 22 each. They ended up being 40 something, but he said since I bought 2 I would get them for 30 something each. No concrete prices and the receipt doesn't itemize the materials. I found out later on that one of the dimmers is getting warm in a few minutes by just having it on 50% brightness with only 6 can lights around 40-60 wattage. I e-mailed to ask about the price discrepancy and the dimmer switch. He said the price I was given was only a quote. I don't have a problem with that if that's what I was told. But he said it was offered at that price, nothing about a quote. I'm also fairly sure the price didn't change from under a week prior to 1.5-2x more or that they didn't have that in their inventory already. For the dimmer switch they said since it wasn't theirs they would have to charge the full minimum rate to come back and look at it when I feel that could've been checked while they were here. That seems like the thing to do to make sure it's working properly before they leave. They replied and said they couldn't do it by the half hour, but they can change the minimum rate from 142 to 124. Not sure how that was calculated, it was basically no change. The numbers on everything seem arbitrary especially when they said the materials are "40 something" and turned to "30 something" because I bought two. read more
