Laura who arranged the service was friendly and helpful. I was lucky to get someone to come in the same day, as one of the electrician had prior job done earlier. Mike came in to install the outlet and he had all the material ready to install immediately. He not only install the outlet but also fixed a loosened wire nearby to make the area safer. He is nice to work with and efficient, speedy but not rushing the work. The rate is reasonable, charged by the time spend instead of a flat rate. I requested quotes from 5 different electricians in the area, but had a good feeling about aardvark. They were speedy! I submitted a quote request and first thing the next morning, Frank reached out to discuss details and pricing estimates. Michael and Christian were the electricians that came to install and they were extremely polite and personable. They completed the work faster than I expected and I am extremely pleased with the outcome! Second time I've used their services. First time installed 2 brand new vanity lights in the master bathroom. 2nd time installed chandelier in our living room. I requested a quote for a panel replacement. They sent a tech to our home to take pictures and get the necessary information. We had to plan around work and a 2 month old baby to be available for this but we never ended up getting the quote. I called to ask them where they were at with it after a month of waiting and they're response was that Frank, the owner, must not have gotten the information and that they'd make sure he was scheduled to put together a quote. After another few weeks, we still hadn't received anything. I called again (now two months after the initial request) and their office admin/scheduler, while very nice, explained that there wasn't anything she could do because they're too busy and behind on new requests. To me, that sounds like they're taking new service requests before even addressed mine which was submitted 2 months ago. If they're not taking new orders, I would have wished that they just denied my initial quote request, thus saving my time having to meet with their tech and wait for the quote. I would have worked with someone else and probably had this project done by now. My guess is they're not taking new business so proceed with caution. read more

I got 2 ceiling fans installed in my master and guest room, both of which didn't have existing fixtures. It took about 7 hours to complete and it looks wonderful! The master had 11' lofted ceilings and the guest was a standard room. Brad was great to work with, he was very efficient and was respectful of the space. Laid out his own tarp, took off his shoes, and cleaned up after the job was done! I'm very happy with the results! Frank with Aardvark Electric came to our home and had good ideas for addressing a need to add multiple exterior receptacles with dedicated circuits. It was a complicated job involving work in 2 sub-panels, running new wires through multiple junction boxes, opening a wall to find a junction in the conduit, drilling through natural limestone walls, and trenching in the yard. Frank let us know what to expect in terms of time and cost to do this work in our 1960s vintage home. Frank's team did the work efficiently and carefully, They came up with good ideas and the results are impressive. We have all the exterior circuits needed for our deicing cables and everything looks great. We chose Aardvark because of their knowledge and experience. You may find less expensive electricians, but not ones who will do better work. read more

I asked if she was ready (it's a massive list and everyone else we called for a quote took notes over the phone) and she said rudely 'can you be more specificcccc' -- it turned me off right away. You know that moment you realize you are officially old? For me, it was this past Christmas morning, when I opened my gifts and was elated to receive ceiling fans, light fixtures, and even a snazzy "fandelier" (Google it! So cute and fun!). But now I had all the fixtures of my dreams and approximately zero talent with which to install them. Though our DIY skills have improved with the pandemic, I didn't want to mess with electric, and certainly not in our 50 year old home. A friend highly recommended Aardvark, so I called to get a quote. I presume it was the owner I talked to as he spoke of sending out "his crew" and man, this guy should have been in sales/public relations/some sort of public speaking job - he put me IMMEDIATELY at ease about what I was asking for, explained exactly what his crew would be doing, how long it would take, what I could expect when they were done, etc. He never once made me feel stupid about knowing zero about electric, and he was honest and straightforward in his explanation of pricing. I immediately booked them to come out a week later! Of course Covid happens to be surging right now as they came to our home so I was delighted with how incredibly respectful the crew was in regard to distancing and mask wearing. They were polite, kind, fast, thorough, and so clean. They installed 4 ceiling fans and three light fixtures in a matter of hours and I managed to work from home the entire time without any interruption. They explained to me why they had to cut a hole in the ceiling for one of the fixtures (again, 50 year old house) but otherwise, you would never know they were here. I'm already dreaming up new reasons for them to come back - all of the things I've been wanting to fix or change. Well priced, responsive and gave ballpark quote upfront. Work was solid, technician great. Will continue to be my go to for electrical work, but.... They are horribly organized. Recommend you confirm your appointment date and time multiple times ahead of schedule. My first scheduled appt was a no show because they didn't actually put me on the schedule after our call. 2nd appointment they scheduled and came at 230, but since techs end day at 4pm they didnt finish. And like clockwork, for todays final appointment at 10:30, that i moved childcare around for, they actually had me down for 11:30. Despite me writing 10:30 in both my phone calendar, a post it at my desk and on my kitchen calendar while i was on the phone with them. Incredibly frustrating scheduling experiences, with not a single offer to make any of it good for the inconvenience.
