Jaime and his team fixed a wiring issue in this century old house quickly and efficiently. We greatly appreciate their clean work space in our home, the suggestions made to improve on what we thought was more complex a problem and the bill was very reasonable for the time and effort spent here. HIGHLY recommend Shock Tech 2 Electric! read more

Very friendly, intelligent efficient professionals whose prices were below other estimates I received. What more can you ask for?

Jaime did what appeared to be a good install at the time for our EV charging circuit. However after just over a year the breaker for the circuit melted without tripping. Luckily no fire. They did a great job for a reasonable price. On time, friendly, worked neatly. I would definitely recommend them and hire them again.

My wife and I have been talking about getting an EV car for the last few years when it came time to replace her car. As a result, I wanted to ensure we have a safe place to charge it. Therefore, we needed a Level 2 charger. I talked to some EV owners, and they all recommended a NEMA 14-50, 50 amp outlet installed in the garage. Here comes Shock Tech 2. I used Yelp to ask him about a quote. He responded very quickly and asked for some information about the house. We talked about the location of the house, and he was able to give a quote based on the house and some pictures I sent regarding the panel, the path to the location, and the location itself. I liked this approach since I contacted other companies who, either, didn't respond or claimed they had no openings soon for a quote. I also liked how Shock Tech 2 kept in constant contact such as letting me know he is on the way. I've had companies in the past now show up at all after I took the time to take time off of work. From the start to finish, Jaime/Shock Tech was courteous, and professional. On the day of installation, he was very professional. Got some cloth to protect the floor. He asked if our pets were allowed in the basement or not so he was kind to close the basement door behind him. There was no mess and he ensured everything was clean afterward. Not to mention, he found an issue with my electrical panel which he fixed too. In the end, the quote was exactly what he asked. Compared to others, his quote was within the average price, but the quality was second to none. I had some quotes to add a bunch of, possibly, unnecessary wiring. His installation was simple and straight to the point. Also, he installed a breaker/emergency off switch next to the outlet, which was not mentioned in the other quotes. Therefore, his quote was actually more reasonable than others. My wife and I have other electrical plans for the house, and Shock Tech 2 will be getting all my business and recommendations to family/friends. read more

Best of the best. Jaime and Rolando installed the 70lb chandelier I had picked out with no issues. They had to come back as Jaime wanted to craft a bracket that would be 100% solid. Rolando crawled up in the attic and Jaime went up the giant ladder and boom went the dynamite! I have 3 more lights and 6 switches for them next week. Highly recommend! read more

Jaime installed an EV charger in my garage. He did an excellent job and I am very satisfied with the result. He was very fairly priced, and I went through him rather than using the "credit" through Electrum. He came as a recommendation from a friend who was also very satisfied. Highly recommend. read more

We will keep Jaime and Shock Tech 2 Electric on speed dial. They were on time, professional, and just all around nice people. Plus they came they said they would come and checked out a couple of other things while they were here. Look no further if you have an electrical issue!! read more

Excellent service! Jaime was awesome. Kept me informed of arrival, gave a heads up on slight delay. Reviewed the work I needed to have done and suggested a more cost-effective solution than the repair I was considering. Very professional and courteous. Would absolutely use them again. read more

I reached out to Shock Tech 2 to request a quote for a porch light that flickers or doesn't turn on only when it's cold out, and a garage keypad that had recently started flickering, as well. Because I know very little about electrical wiring, I was worried the two were related and costs would be high. Jamie, the owner, quickly responded back that he was booked out for a while, but that the garage keypad could just be a battery issue with a simple fix. It turns out it was. He saved me a lot of money and left me with the impression that this company has integrity and is trustworthy. When you use the feature of Yelp to get quotes from multiple businesses, the prices range so much, you don't know what you're getting. I have bookmarked Shock Tech 2 for any future repairs because I now trust them more than the competition. Thank you! read more

So happy we found Shock Tech 2. Jamie (the owner) recently installed Tesla EV charger in our garage that required running about 60ft of conduit from the basement to garage. Jamie did a fantastic job! Very impressed! I appreciated his consistent communication throughout the entire process and was very happy that my work was able to be completed within days after receiving the quote. The pricing was also competitive comparing to another quote I got. Will definitely use them again for future electrical work (I'm already planning to hire him to tackle some smaller projects I have). Highly recommend. read more

Jaime from Shock Tech responded right away to my request on a Sunday evening! He was able to come out Monday at 1 pm. He fixed a bad breaker and we only paid for the new breaker, on top of his fee. Called Jamie in the morning to come out to fix a GFCI receptacle. He made a special trip at the end of his day to get it done. He was very accommodating, courteous and professional. Without Jamie, we would not be able to call our new house home. Lighting makes a huge difference and Jamie was patient, consultative and cooperative throughout our many asks. We added recess lighting, switched everything to dimmers, electric car charger, added outlets and fixtures and cabinet lighting. He helped give this place a soft beautiful glow that has made us so happy once we moved in. Jamie is talented, gifted and a huge blessing since we knew nothing about electrical work going into this. We would not have wanted anyone else to take on this project. Work with Jamie and you will not be disappointed!! read more

I requested a quote to replace the k&t on the second floor of my house. He messaged me asking where I was located, and I told him. He then proceeded to tell me that he Googled my house, and it would cost $15k to rewire my house and replace the panel. I told him that it was obvious that he didn't read my request because I only requested the 2nd floor to be done, and didn't need a new panel. The then said that it would be about $7-8K to do the 2nd floor. I was extremely disappointed because he didn't even bother to come out to my house to give me an estimate, which he could have easily done, because my house is ONE BLOCK from his business address according to his Yelp profile. I would never trust anyone who couldn't even be bothered to go out to a site to give an estimate, especially one he could walk to. He might do good work, but his "estimate" was overpriced from other people I've talked to by at least $2k read more

So incredibly nice and helpful! Helped with everything I was worried about and I felt he was very honest with me. He gave me tips on how to do everything myself, recommended what to buy to fix the problem I had, and answered and explained all the questions I had about how the wiring and electricity in our home works. He even found a problem that a home inspector didn't notice and told me how to fix it. All that for free during the initial consultation. I will 100% be contacting him again if we ever need electrical help or work done. read more

Jaime got us in same-day for an issue with our 220v outlet in our laundry room. It took him all of 10 minutes to diagnose the issue and another 30 to fix it. We will definitely be using Jaime with Shock Tech 2 for all of our electrical needs! read more

Jaime is an amazing and courteous professional. He was worried that the job he did at my place was simpler than he quoted me for. For no additional charge, he fixed bunch of other things in my place just to make sure I feel confident that he was ripping me off. Jaime has been great during our whole house remodel. He had to install an additional panel because we needed more amps due to the number of outlets and appliances being added. He identified everything that was needed and implemented it. He also put can lights in multiple rooms, in-cabinet and under-cabinet lightning in the kitchen and Butler's pantry, installed 7 ceiling fans, and a light lift in the foyer among other things. He has been back multiple times to install lights and do other work and every time he has been great to work with. He is extremely accommodating and patient whenever I ask him to change something around that my ADD doesn't like. He sets a great example for Jorge his apprentice (who is also a high quality individual) and for passing the knowledge on to the next generation of electricians. I highly recommend Shock Tech 2 - you won't be disappointed! read more
