My circuit panel was far from the garage (where the outlet would be) but it wasn't a big deal for them and they were able to relocate some breakers in my panel to the sub-panel to make space for the double-pole 50A breaker for the NEMA 14-50 Outlet. Jesse walked me through the scope of work upfront and we moved forward. The job wasn't simple -- the wall behind the shelves had herringbone tile. Jesse opened it up, installed proper backing so the shelves could be bolted in securely, then redid the herringbone tile and matched the existing grout so well you can't tell any repair was ever done. That's exactly the outcome you hope for with tile work. While he was in there, he also fixed a leaking tub spout that required opening another section of wall for plumbing work, then patched and painted it back to seamless. Jesse's attention to detail was outstanding throughout. I'll be calling him for any future work at the house.

Not worth the hassle. You're better off going to a different generator installation service. If anybody's in need of a Kohler generator at a good price, let me know. Update May 16, 2026 Some communication issues but Frank set things right. He had me look at a property with the generator orientated the direction I wanted, changed mine the same way and completed the project per the agreement in the contract. I received a thorough run through of how the generator works, service info and the warranty. After the initial delay, the project was completed in a very professional manner.

So we…read morecontacted several licensed contractors to bid on bringing the service up to city of Chicago code, upgrading from 100 to 200 amp service, installing a whole house surge protector and relocating the ComEd meter which was under the deck and which was also against code. By far, Ramon was the clear choice to hire for the job. He thoroughly explained the entire process, walking us through the areas of the house that would be affected and letting us know that the current electrical box was not grounded per code. He was not the cheapest but was the most knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of our questions and offers a 2 yr warranty on parts and labor. He took care of the permit process and had his guys, Carlos & Luis, in to do the work within a couple of weeks. It took 3 days to complete the work including running a grounding conduit, back to front, through my basement ceiling in order to reach the inlet where the water comes in from the city. They installed a new panel and designated the current panel as a sub panel in order to avoid the additional costs to re-wire existing circuits to the new panel. They moved the whole house AC and Dryer circuits to the new panel to lighten the amperage load off the sub panel. Finally, they ran new wiring to a couple of high amp kitchen appliances so they would be on their own dedicated circuits, which is difficult in these old Chicago bungalows. They were incredibly professional, respectful of property and communicated throughout the process. You gotta love it when you hire professionals that know exactly what they're doing. I give them 5 stars plus and highly recommend them.

No Static was recommended by Angie's and got back to me immediately. I needed new under cabinet…read morelighting in the kitchen. I was basically replacing what I had which was old-fashioned halogen with low watt, low heat LED panel lighting. No Static's quote was the best I received from 3 places I contacted and it had high ratings from Angies and the BBB. I asked the contractor to purchase the lighting, which he did but there was a snag in the installation; two of the 5 panels didn't work. He had to stop the work and he decided to buy another brand although he clearly had faith in the original brand he bought. This meant he had to reschedule the completion of the work for another day one week later. He followed up with me, kept in touch as to when new materials would arrive, and came back when he said he would. He uninstalled what was already in and put in all new lighting which worked just fine. Although the job was delayed because of materials, it was a short time and certainly worse for him than for me. He lost a day's work and had to restart. Bottom line, the price was fair, he kept in touch with me throughout and there were no added costs to me in spite of the trouble, except for the addition of dimmer switches which were my choice. I was very satisfied with No Static.
