The top portion of an exterior trim window on my second floor was starting to rot and peel away, so I was looking to have someone to be able to remove and replace it. It was a bit of a tricky job due to the trim being arched, which meant it had to be traced and cut appropriately. I had the pleasure of contacting David, whom I asked several questions of how he would go about the process and I felt very comfortable with everything he walked through. He scheduled the work for a couple weeks out, text notifications let me know when he would be arriving and he was able to complete everything within a few hours. David cut the replacement beautifully using PVC so there is no maintenance on it in the future and caulked / sealed up all points of exposure to rain. He was very efficient, kind, and answered all the questions I had since I'm learning to do these kinds of tasks on my own. The pricing was extremely competitive and there's no question that I'll have David back pretty soon for other jobs around my home that I'm not comfortable handling. Super disappointed, read the reviews and was very interested in the company but found out that they do not service Clarendon hills, a town just two minutes away from Downers Grove, especially when Downers Grove is a huge city by comparison, it was surprising. The company should update their map of service on yelp because it includes the entire area west of oakbrook. At least include what towns you do service as it would be more helpful than an outdated service area on a map. Really wanted to support a small business, but they just didn't want to support themselves. Sorry hinsdale, la grange, westmont, oakbrook, Clarendon hills - look somewhere else. read more

I did, and never heard back. Since then, we got the job done by another company, (who didn't require multiple photos taken and emailed). Professional, punctual, and priced reasonably! I've worked with David on three separate occasions and each time he responded in a timely manner, showed up when he said he would, completed everything better than I had hoped, and cleaned up (thoroughly) after every project. First project: attached dryer vent, secured loose toilet tissue holder, fixed a sticking, hard to open door, and replaced a few broken window locks. He also had a "MacGyver" way of finding different ways of fixing these minor things if he didn't have an exact tool or screw one would think of first using. The second project- restaining the backyard deck. He even picked out the stain color since I didn't have time to get to the hardware store because we had an unexpected family visit. We were very happy with how everything turned out. Most recently- we needed to install a barn door for bathroom access due to my Mom's upcoming knee replacement surgery. In the original layout, the door opened into the bathroom making it very difficult to maneuver a walker around it. David had everything installed in a few hours and even reviewed my Menard's order beforehand to make sure I had all the right components ordered.
