21st Amendment - Best Sliders and onion rings ever!

Tho I've never really liked full size burgers so always been a slider fan. Damn. Let me repeat, damn. Again, damn. Super simple but so so juicy and whatever sauce they are saucing on it? My mouth waters at the memory. They are decent sized and you get 4, plus a massive tower of also very good onion rings. The onion rings were good no complaints but after the sliders nothing was going to compare so I kind of forgot any opinions I had on them. Inside is cozy, staff are fun and great, reasonable prices and good vibes anytime I've gone in. And I'll be going in again soon bc damn. A few days later I was out with friends somewhere else and we got sliders and I was so disappointed now that I've known 21st's.

Place was not super busy and our server Izzy was on it...she seated us immediately and took our drink and food orders. We snacked on spinach dip which was pretty filling and ordered some cups of clam chowda! The chef put some southwestern flavor which I thought was fabulous, since we are from TX! We finished by ordering the plate of sliders and by far, the best pub sliders I have ever had! Everything we ate was amazing. Izzy was energetic and never let our glasses go empty! The building was historic and it felt like you walked back in time! We would go back in heart beat for sure!

That freed us up to go get some dinner nearby. Once we got in, we were ushered to a cozy table. decor and vibe were fun, service was attentive and polite. Drinks were very enjoyable and rather pricy, but I get that we were paying for the experience as well. The experience was fun -- no spoilers here, but there were some nice little surprises. Only bad news: your experience to some extent depends on your neighbors, and boy howdy the table next to us got filled with the loudest college students in Boston. Otherwise, had a blast. Would return.

After nearly an hour, we were offered a spot that didn't even accommodate our party of four, leaving one person to stand the entire time with a "seat" on what appeared to be a bookshelf. It felt disorganized and awkward. We would have preferred not to be seated at all, especially since we left another spot (that sat all 4 of us) around the corner once we got off the waitlist. The $22+ cocktails were "pre-batched" (aka, pre-made), which further diminished the experience. While the atmosphere is stylish and fitting for a night out, the overall experience didn't justify the wait or price. I also genuinely didn't enjoy a single drink. I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't recommend it for groups larger than two.

As we never actually got a chance to try any of the food or drinks at this establishment, this…read morereview is strictly based on service and the procedures this place takes to actually get patrons a space inside to be served. I debated describing our interaction in full detail, but really, who wants to read all of that. So here's the nitty gritty: get there early to get in line. When you reach the door do not wait for someone to come out. Walk through and ask for a table. They do not take reservations at this place so if there's entitled people complaining in the line behind you that someone in their party "made a reservation", they don't know what they're talking about. There really doesn't seem to be a very organized process of getting people sat efficiently at this place at all. And if they tell you there's "standing room only", good luck. There really isn't anywhere comfortably to stand without feeling like you're crowding in on another diners space. And furthermore, if you're utilizing "standing room only" to wait for a table there's no one to effectively determine who's next to be sat, where to sit them, etc. Honestly, it's like the Hunger Games of fancy, overpriced cocktail bars. Wild. I gave it two stars for the view and ambiance because who doesn't love a moody vibe with a cool city view. If they got their process and procedures polished up this place would be worth it for the experience. Otherwise, there's plenty of other awesome places in Boston.

There's no good place to stand and hang while you wait for a table. Luckily, it seems to turn over and we did get a table for an hour. We enjoyed the cheese and charcuterie board, it was yummy but of course, pricy.
