The Potsticker appetizers were incredible and the quantity was perfect for what we wanted. Had to amend review.... If customer service was a test then I have to mention 2 other amazing individuals.... Chris who provided local information and suggested the Fisherman's Feast to get to know some history behind the celebration as well as making us 2 of his recommended "Old Fashions" and also Lorin who made my wife her special "Strawberry Milkshake" shot.... Again don't know how this place isn't 5.9 but sit at the bar and talk to the people and I guarantee you will agree with my review.... "WICKED AWESOME"!!!

Moxies is incredibly convenient for a meal and/or drinks prior to a concert at Leader Bank…read morePavilion, so we joined our fellow concert goers in this lively, energetic, modern space. While the location and space is great, our dining experience was mediocre. The house-made clam chowder has very good flavor, but it was incredibly salty with a thin broth for a chowder - it could have used more clams and potatoes. To go with the chowder, we shared the Super Greens salad. While I really enjoyed this salad, including the white balsamic vinaigrette, it seemed to be missing some key ingredients listed on the menu. There was no sign of any seeds or quinoa in the salad, and a sparse amount of avocado and strawberries. A good lettuce salad, but it didn't meet the hype of the description (or price $17). Similar to the salad, the menu description for the Loaded Cheeseburger simply didn't match what we received. The burger was supposed to have sautéed onions, but it had sliced raw red onion instead. "Loaded" feels like a setup for disappointment, as there was a scant amount of cheese and bacon on this dry burger patty. Despite not being particularly crispy, I liked the fresh cut French fries, which were mostly small pieces (~one inch) best eaten with a fork. Our server did a nice job, though may have been a bit overwhelmed. Our food arrived before we even received water or had silverware, which we had to request. Oh well. At least we were out of there on time to enjoy the concert across the street, which was awesome!

The Wig Shop was on the list... what a coincidence we were just going to be there. So, obviously, we made it a point to check it out. It was very last minute, so we had no reservations, but we checked opening hours and were there almost on the dot. Thankfully we were able to get in. The way they are setup is that if you are a party of 2, they sit you with another "couple" to maximize space. This is fun, it makes you have conversations with strangers that for the time you are there become "friends". Hopefully you have the same good experience we did and not have anti-social people in front of you. The drinks are fun and strong, and they have a full bar for those who want something more classic or have a drink of choice. They also have food, which looked really good.

I got the extra dirty martini, which was really smooth, and I thought the drinks were reasonably priced. Our server was nice, although there were a few awkward moments throughout the night. We ordered ice cream and a cookie, and he told us they were out of spoons -- and it wasn't even 10 PM yet Initially, I thought it was a joke, but he was not joking, so we ended up eating the ice cream with forks. The table setup was also a little awkward. Some of our friends were sitting across from us on the couch, and it was pretty difficult to hear and have a conversation with them.

Service was great and everything we got were delicious: - Kestra Breakfast Plate: 5/10 I was a bit disappointed that I could only pick one protein, got the sausages and it was laughable how small the portion was. There seemed to be more potatoes than anything else. Regardless, I think everything was cooked well and tasted great. - Turkish Breakfast: 7/10, was surprisingly good! I've never eaten a block of Feta before but it was very fresh and not overpowering. They had fancy HEIRLOOM tomatoes so that was a nice and refreshing surprise. - Short Rib Hash: 8.2/10, a great value! The only thing is that the short rib was dry... but overall still tasty and filling. - fruit bowl: 9/10, the fruit bowl is ENORMOUS! Super large portion of pineapple, honey dew, orange cantaloupe, grapes, Raspberry, strawberry, blueberry. - Lemon Ricotta pancakes: 7.2/10, great texture of pancakes had a nice bounce to it and slightly mochi like. I had to have a side of maple syrup because they didn't give enough lemon compote. - Croissant: 1000/10, I ordered Ala carte and this was top 2 best PLAIN croissant I had. It was large and perfectly light and fluffy and buttery all at the same time. I also LOVE butter and jam so this was perfect.

It was a Sunday night and we didn't feel like going far for a meal. That's when we put the voucher to use as the Capiz is in the lobby of the hotel. We went for an early dinner. Walking into the restaurant, no one was there to greet us and there was no host stand. Finally, a server (who also turned out to be our server) told us to pick where we wanted to sit. We chose a four-top table. When it was time to order, we were dealing with a limited menu. I chose lobster quesadillas, which were listed under "appetizers". My husband chose the fish and chips. The quesadilla was sloppily made. Some pieces had hardly any cheese or lobster in them. Other pieces were overloaded with lobster and cheese. While it was all edible and the lobster was properly cooked, it still was underwhelming. My husband said the fish was well prepared, flaky and crispy at the same time. There were too many French fries, making the plate a bit messy. In a pinch, Capiz did fit the bill as we didn't feel like going far for a meal that day.
