Chick'n Nuggets
Parita A.

We stopped in to Veggie Grill and ordered the buffalo wrap, chik'n nuggets with BBQ sauce, and carrot cake. Ordering itself was fine, but the line moved really slowly since only one person was ringing orders, and for some reason the self-ordering screen wasn't in use. It's a busy spot, you order first, then find a seat, and they bring your food out. Which is a process I actually enjoy. The buffalo wrap was pretty good. Definitely had that buffalo kick, but the halves weren't consistent. One side had plenty of sauce, the other was much lighter, which was a little disappointing since we were splitting it. The chik'n nuggets were solid, standard vegan nuggets, but I appreciated that they weren't overly greasy like I've seen at other places. The BBQ sauce was on the sweeter side than I expected, but still fine. They did forget our carrot cake at first, but once we asked, they brought it right out. The cake itself was just okay, you could tell it might have been sitting a day, but the portion was generous. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal at all, but I'm not sure I'd rush back either.

While i was driving to the hotel to check in this place caught my eye due to color and how it looks from outside. The menu is amazing i saw a mix of different cuisine asian, mexican, thai and american but as per the price the quality and the taste is not at all good. All the things i ordered was pretty bland no flavour i think this menu is design for super health conscious people or the one who is on diet. I asked for still bottle water and they don't have it the most basic beverage they don't have :/ ordered crispy cauliflower but the batter did not have any flavour or seasoning i had to add salt on top as they give me the option to get buffalo sauce on side, tacos were ok nothing much special. Got asain bowl for my gf she took two bites and couldn't finish as there were no flavour while we were so hungry after 8hrs of flight . All silverware and tissue is a self service i don't even know for what reason all these type of restaurant ask for tips when its a self service except the one who prepares the food for you and i'm sure they get paid by owners ! I still left 20% tip for order taker to put the food on the table after that they never checked how was the food or anything since you pay upfront so cannot do anything about. Even the burger i ordered does not come with fries even after paying so much for a burger. I would not recommend this place as i would rather go to other restaurant and i can pay same amout where i get atleast tap water or cutlery.

Inside Veggie Grill

The more I adopt eating vegan in the interim, the more my expectations rise. For the amount being shelled out, I'm looking at portions, taste, presentation, you know all the usual things I mention in my reviews. I've been let down no lie, and the latest place to do so was Veggie Grill. I got the Ranchero Bean Fiesta - "House-made ranchero beans, Tex-Mex beefy crumbles, steamed organic rice, and organic kale tossed with house-made mango-lemon vinaigrette, organic guacamole, fresh mango chunks, grilled corn, organic pico de gallo, tortilla strips, queso, coconut lime drizzle, house-pickled onions, organic cilantro, chopped green onion, and pepitas" Sounds pretty good right? Sounds like it's loaded with a lot of good stuff, right? It wasn't really. Mostly Rice and beans (Which normally would be fine) but at $15 it isn't. It had a little scoope of guac and tomatos and kale here and there. Mango, which I didn't really care for. It was disappointing. My friend was curious about the Mac & cheese, so we got a side of that. If I didn't know any better, I'd have thought it was just plain macaroni shells. No cheese whatsoever, not even vegan equivalent of Cheese. Maybe they did it on purpose to ween people off of cheese, fake or not. It was sad and another $6 wasted. From what I understand, Veggie Grill is part of a chain, so that can explain some of the lower quality, but man if this the effort they're serving up regularly, trying to cater to a vegan diet, I can't recommend coming here.

MAVERICK BURHER
Yulaidi S.

Came here after visiting the the pike street flea market. You seat yourself and grab menus to see what you want. Then when ready you go up to order and take a number to your table so they know when to come. I got the buffalo bomb and my girlfriend got the maverick burger. We also shared the truffle mac and cheese. I wasn't too fond of the mac and cheese since I'm used to real cheese but my girlfriend who can't have real cheese loved it. We both also liked the buffalo bomb and maverick burger. Overall the place is really great even if you're not vegan. I'd go to it again for lunch.

SoCal Burger
Sara S.

We came here for dinner before Enchant Christmas. We ordered the SoCal Burger, the Steakhouse Burger, sweet potato fries, regular fries, Mac Cheese, and crispy cauliflower. Everything was really good! I loved the tempeh bacon on the SoCal Burger, so crunchy and tasty. My mom and sister said the Steakhouse Burger tasted so real--they loved the bleu cheese and horseradish sauce. The Mac Cheese was pretty good too (I added cracked black pepper). The crispy cauliflower was yummy; I would have preferred for it to be "Buffalo" style, but it was fine with a plain breading and a ranch dipping sauce. The atmosphere was kind of fancy fast food. The seating was nice and comfortable, and the decor was pleasant. For beverages, they had water, strawberry lemonade (delicious!), lemonade, and iced tea. They had a self-service station with salt and pepper grinders, hot sauce, utensils, napkins, and ketchup. Our order taker/order runner is the reason I'm not giving it 5 stars. He behaved as if he would rather be anywhere else. He never smiled; in fact, he had a sour face the whole time he took our order. We definitely felt like we were bothering him. And the attitude was the same when he brought our food to us. If the customer service was better, I would give this 5 stars in a heartbeat!

Cali Tempeh Power Bowl

I don't get to Veggie grill very often anymore (as unfortunately there aren't any in SF); my most recent visit to the downtown Seattle location was my first after they were acquired by Next Level. I was delighted to find that they're as good as ever, if not better. First, huge shoutout to the really welcoming and friendly associate at the downtown location. She was very attentive to myself and others who came in, and even helped provide recommendations for those who were on the fence about certain items. As for the food itself, I thoroughly enjoyed the cali tempeh bowl. It was full of veggies but also very savory with a great sauce. My partner, likewise, thought the chicken sandwich was solid. We also got some food to go--the caesar salad and pumpkin cake--and the delicious vibes kept coming. Given price and convenience, Veggie grill is an option I'm always happy to go to.

Vegan Kimchi "Steak" Bowl
Robin M.

I love veggie grill. I've loved it since the first time I went when they were only in LA. This was my first time at the Seattle location and the location isn't great. There were people smoking crack right outside the door. But the food was great! We got the sunrise burger (I think that's what it's called) with the yo egg on it. And the kimchi bowl, which was spicy but delicious.

Kimchi "Steak" Bowl
Kimaya C.

Grabbed food from here to go with not many expectations but actually really enjoyed it. Everything is vegetarian, but they have a lot of options that mimic meat. I got the kimchi "steak" bowl which had a lot of veggies and flavor from the sauces. The portion was good and it was just a solid bowl, comparable to many of the more hyped bowl places in the area. My friends also really enjoyed the bowls and burgers they tried. Would come back!

Rish A.

They have plant based protein food and everything is vegan/vegetarian. I ordered salad bowl with plant based turkey and truffle mac and cheese. Which I paired with mushroom tacos and Veggie Nachos. Everything was freshly made and super healthy

Reviews are largely positive. Many highlight the food quality and variety, a wide plant-based menu, and friendly staff. The pleasant atmosphere is also noted.

For that, I am giving you three stars, but for everything else, I give one to two stars. The white rice is usually dry and just does not taste that good. Sesame noodles and are always way too salty. Spam musubi is way too salty (does it really need a salty sauce on top of already salty Spam?). Bok choy greens are not cooked right (they taste chewy) and way too salty. The mac salad is surprisingly not too salty but just bland. Sesame chicken is fried in a super thick batter and is goopy and hard rather than crispy and savory. Same goes for the fried cauliflower. We tried you EIGHT TIMES, Grillbird. We wanted to like you and gave you many chances, but alas, you have missed the mark too many times. We won't be back. ps. If you ever bring back your five-spice stewed beef, we might be back. That beef was amazing.

Today, I am still a fan of Local Tide's food. I love their collaboration with their next door neighbor Aslan Brewing, which have become a favorite after work hangout lately with co-workers for happy hour. You can order food from Local Tide directly at Aslan and they will bring your food to you. Don't miss getting the shareable Chips with Salmon Belly Dip. That is sooo good and you might have to order 2 or 3 plates. It goes fast because you can't just eat a few, lol. The Salmon Sando and Salmon Teriyaki bowl is of course really good, too. But the surprise for me was their super good Smash Burger that is perfect with their home style fries. Both Local Tide and Aslan are two stellar businesses in Fremont. You can't go wrong patronizing either business. Support both!!! It is worth your time and money!

We loved everything we tried, but the shrimp toast was an absolute standout! I don't think I've ever had shrimp served in this format that was so plump and juicy. The accompaniments elevated every bite, adding even more flavor, but even without them, the shrimp toast was incredible on its own. The shrimp really speaks for itself! The rockfish bowl was another favorite. The fish is prepared like a patty and is SO flavorful. Paired with the bright, fresh slaw and soft, warm rice, it makes for the most incredible bite. Every component complements the others beautifully. We also tried the salmon belly dip, and the textures were fantastic. The chips taste homemade and are perfectly thin and crispy, providing the ideal contrast to the rich, creamy dip. The best part is getting a nice chunk of salmon in your scoop! The staff deserves just as much praise as the food. Everyone was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and their recommendations were spot-on. You can tell when people genuinely know the menu and want you to have a great experience, and that made our visit even more special. The space is small and intimate, with a friendly, inviting atmosphere. When we visited, it wasn't very busy, but I could see seating becoming a challenge during peak hours, especially since I didn't notice any outdoor seating. Parking is also something to consider, as the area seems to rely primarily on street parking. I'd recommend giving yourself extra time to find a spot during busier periods. I'm still giving Local Tide five stars because our experience was phenomenal. Those potential logistical challenges didn't affect our visit, and I wouldn't want to take away from an experience that was genuinely wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and we left already planning our next visit. There are still so many things on the menu we want to try, which is always a good sign! Local Tide has officially made our list of Seattle spots to revisit. If you're a seafood lover looking for thoughtfully prepared food and genuinely welcoming service, this place is absolutely worth checking out!

Russ definitely makes the meanest latte while making muffled grunts, but hey he's a cool guy who will make way for a traveler to feel welcomed. SWEETGREENS @ KIRKLAND…read more This was my first time visiting Sweetgreen in Kirkland, located in Totem Lake. Totem Lake is a great area to explore, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and even a movie theater all within walking distance. It's a nice spot if you're looking to spend some time around the Kirkland area. I've heard a lot about Sweetgreen, so I was excited to finally give it a try. The concept reminded me a lot of Chipotle since you can choose your base, protein, toppings, and sauces to create your own bowl. They also offer a variety of signature bowls if you don't want to build your own. Options included bowls with pesto, steak, and other combinations already put together for you. Unfortunately, my first impression wasn't the best. The staff didn't seem very friendly, and everything felt rushed. Since my dad and I were both first time customers, we weren't exactly sure what to order. It felt like we were being hurried through the line rather than being helped. For my bowl, I chose quinoa, romaine lettuce, and chicken. They had temporarily run out of chicken, but thankfully a fresh batch came out after only a few minutes, which I appreciated. I also noticed that the tables inside were pretty dirty, so we decided to sit outside instead. The outdoor seating was much more enjoyable anyway. As for the food, I thought it was good overall. I liked that everything tasted fresh and seemed to be made with wholesome ingredients. The vegetables were crisp, and the bowl felt healthy and filling. My biggest complaint was the chicken. It wasn't seasoned very much and tasted pretty plain, so I found myself relying on the sauce to add flavor to the meal. Overall, the food was decent, but the customer service and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. I don't think I would return to this particular location, but I'd be willing to give another Sweetgreen a try in the future, especially to test out some of their wraps or other menu options.
