I was the one communicating with the owner, Doug, during the visit and he even texted me the receipt directly while I was standing there in the store. Within a day or two, around February 12th, we decided to cancel the order. From that point forward we spent weeks calling and trying to get a refund. On March 12th I texted Doug again regarding the refund. Screenshots of that conversation are included with this review. In those messages he discussed giving a partial refund and repeatedly asked that we remove the review. On Friday March 13th I personally went back to the store and picked up cash from Doug in the amount of $2,355. Even then the full amount was not refunded despite the order being cancelled almost immediately after the purchase. After I posted my original review about the experience, Doug began calling and texting me asking that I delete it. I have included screenshots of those communications so people can see exactly what was said. Doug also replied publicly to my previous review claiming that I was not a customer of the business. That is not accurate. I was present in the store during the purchase, communicated directly with Doug, received the receipt from him by text, and I was the one who returned to the store to collect the refund. I have also included screenshots of the original review that was removed. People rely on reviews when making important decisions, especially when purchasing medical equipment. Because of how this situation was handled and the communication afterward asking that the review be removed, I believe it is important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. All of the statements in this review reflect my direct experience with this business and the communication I personally had with the owner. Supporting screenshots have been included for transparency.

I totally forgot to call and let them know an hour before I wanted my scooter delivered to adventure city. Marty called me and we scheduled a time to meet. The scooter was cleaned and worked well. There was another gentleman that came to pick up the scooter and he was very professional as well. Soaring scooters has definitely spoiled me. I will be contacting them for any scooter rental in California. Thank you again!!!

When returning the scooter I informed the person from there company we lost the arm rest at the park due to them not being attached properly. I was told that since they delivered a damaged scooter and just threw whatever left over arms they had at their store; I would not be charged for the missing arm rest. When I get back home I see the charge on my card. I call them and ask to speak to the manger Chris. After informing me he will call me back after speaking to the "owner", I get a text message. Very unprofessional. As he informs me of their "generosity of the discounts" they gave us. I have to then correct him. Chris tell me they gave us 2 scooter for the price of 1. I never ordered 2 scooters. His dates were inaccurate and tried to say we're used something we never received. They try to add false information and fake reservations to seem well-intentioned. Since he has no decency to call me back I proceed to call him back our conversation lead to false information and Chris proceeds to curse and use profanity as their "general manager". -Lack of customer service -Lied and allegations -Extra charges -Profanity and rudeness -Faulty equipment Are all the things you will receive if you use their services.

Her 3 wheel go-go scooter stopped working while going to CVS which left her stranded unable to walk home. She called me here in DC and we managed to barely get scootie back to the RV Park. I began looking for someone that could maybe look at the problem and fix it. After a bunch of calls later I finally called Amos Mobility. A guy named John answered listened and responded to my need for service and was very sympathetic. He went to pick up the scooter and take it back to his shop. On the 4th of July a holiday he worked diagnosing the scooter and repairing it. He tested and verified it and on Sunday the 5th he returned it to my wife and waited for her to test drive it around the park. She was excited to be able get her mobility back. John at AMS in our opinion went above and beyond and showed his passion to serve the handicapped community. Thank you Amos Mobility Scooters.

I rented a scooter from Amos Scooter Rentals for three days, and unfortunately, the experience was…read morefrustrating from the very beginning. The day before our rental, John called to verify the size of our vehicle. During the call, he was extremely rude and repeatedly cut both my mom and me off while we were speaking. We have rented and used scooters many times before and have never had an issue with our vehicle being too small. John insisted that I send him a picture of the cargo space in my car, which I did, along with a link to the vehicle's dimensions. Our scooter was scheduled to be delivered to our hotel at 8:00 AM on the first morning. Since we were only in the LA area for three days, we had planned to have breakfast with family that morning. However, John insisted on meeting us in person to verify the vehicle, so we had to cancel our breakfast plans to accommodate him. When John arrived, he brought a three-wheel scooter even though I had rented a four-wheel scooter for my mom. My mom was understandably nervous because she has only used four-wheel scooters. When I asked why we received a three-wheel scooter, John initially told me that his company does not have four-wheel scooters. When I pointed out that the website advertises four-wheel scooters, he changed his explanation and said they only have a small number of them. The interaction regarding my mom was particularly disappointing. John said the Go-Go Elite Traveler would have an issue with someone her size and proceeded to ask her how much she weighed. She declined to answer because, quite frankly, asking someone their weight in that manner is inappropriate. I reminded him that I had already provided her weight when making the reservation and that information should have been on file. He then recommended that she rent a larger scooter, which we declined. John continued by talking about people over 600 pounds breaking scooters and then spent another 15 minutes explaining how customers had supposedly broken batteries, keys, seats, frames, etc. He also demonstrated how to dismantle and load the scooter. While I understand the importance of explaining how to properly use and transport the equipment, the entire interaction came across as more of a lecture than customer service. What makes this especially ironic is that John told us he was more in the "customer service business" than the scooter rental business. Based on our experience, I would strongly disagree. Good customer service starts with basic respect--listening to your customers, not repeatedly interrupting them, and certainly not making inappropriate comments about a customer's body or weight. Overall, the experience was unnecessarily stressful and left a very bad impression. We were visiting the LA area for only three days, and instead of starting our trip with our family, we had to rearrange our plans to deal with issues that should have been handled before the rental. I would not rent from Amos Scooter Rentals again, and based on this experience, I would have a hard time recommending them to anyone else. John could use some serious customer-service training.
