I cant say enough about the comfort of this chair!! It gave me the freedom and confidence to explore without constantly worrying about whether the chair could handle the terrain. I had to lift it op and down from the randome 4-5" curbs, but thats expected if any motoized chair. The ride is comfortable, the controls are easy to use, and the chair feels powerful and stable. It has made an enormous difference in my ability to enjoy this trip. I also purchased the matching travel cover, and I consider it an absolute must-have. It completely covers the folded wheelchair and helps protect it from dust, dirt, scratches, and damage during transportation and storage. It is especially valuable when traveling by air because it keeps the chair contained and provides an extra layer of protection during handling. David at Malisa Mobility has also been excellent to work with. He is informative, energetic, and focused on solving problems. One issue is that the wheelchair arrived without the advertised teal-painted wheels. I am still waiting for a final resolution regarding replacement with the advertised wheels, but David has remained attentive and responsive throughout the process. I appreciate his efforts and am confident he will work with management to find a satisfactory solution. The wheelchair and travel cover are an excellent combination. Whether you are purchasing this chair for everyday mobility or travel, I highly recommend getting both. I went to Abilities Expo in Long Beach this year and just came away thinking that event wasn't for me and I can't afford any of it. I'm grateful Malisa has a cheaper end model for those of us with less cash that is still well designed and easy to use. It's pricing like the cheaper online models but with the benefit of an actual office/warehouse so you can talk to a person and get parts or repairs if necessary. I am an average height and weighted person and you should definitely check online specs for any particular needs. We physically went in because I wanted to rent and test out an electric wheelchair before buying. It was such a good, affordable deal that we just ended up buying one a week later. There's an occasional language hiccup here or there but Lou was great and really wants to help you. They let me test out all the different wheelchairs and scooters. He even helped put the device together for me and offered to help load the car, although there's videos on YouTube for how to assemble at home too. It looked fairly easy. They aren't always in, so call ahead to make sure if you are on a tight timeframe (see the piece of paper with phone number). This is definitely a warehouse and you can check out their new retail location (Wellnova Mobility in Laguna, why isn't this on the paper?!) if you prefer a more shop like experience. The Google maps location is wrong and it's two buildings over, it has the address on it. Still waiting for a receipt, hopefully it'll come soon. I'll update if anything goes awry. Looking forward to using this both as a wheelchair and as a lightly assisted rollator with the arm up. I thought this second feature was way out of my price range and it's not designed for that, but I'm excited. Folds easily and I could be pushed in it manually as well.
