It wasn't much to look at - just a strip mall place. The front door was stuck and some tables were wobbly but the food made up for the small defaults. I had the basic chicken tika meal and it was marvelous. My wife and I were looking to eat light so we split the meal but it enough for two full size meals. He brought us each a bowl of lentil soup and offered us refills if we wanted. Unfortunately I'm just on my way to Montana passing through town so I won't be able to return again. read more

I stopped by here for lunch and got the falafel meal. The owners were very kind! The portion size was generous and it even came with your choice of soup and a complimentary water bottle! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Ending the meal with their hot kurdish and a baklava was especially nice! I'll definitely be back! read more

Newroz Kebab - Falafel meal with lentil soup - Kebab Near Me - Moorhead, Minnesota

The food was incredible! The soup was unlike anything I have ever had - warm, citrusy, luxurious and incredibly flavored without being over powering. The beef sharwma sandwich was moist with just the tight amount of heat and fresh, finely chopped veggies to offset the spice. They had an aioli that went beautifully with the sandwich. Definitely recommend! read more

Food is very good, friendly service. Authentic Kurdish food. We are always happy with any selection we made here so far. And a hot Kurdish tea is a must. read more

Returned after a year. Very disappointed. Prices have gone up. Portion sizes are small and the taste and quality have certainly diminished. :( Wait times are way too long. 20-25 minutes for a simple order. Not sure I will return here. read more

This is a clean pleasant place. Service is OK. My sister and I went there two days ago. The food was fresh but it was too expensive for what was served. 3/4 of a cup of hummus and a pita bread for nine dollars give me a break. read more

My family and I came to visit and it was amazing. The environment was family friendly. The food was great and the staff were friendly and kind to answer any and all of our questions we had about the food and what we were ordering. read more

Service is great, the owner was friendly, quite and clean. I had the Chicken Shawerma sandwich with fries. The price was $20 with a tip. A little pricey for a lunch, but plenty of food and should be able to feed 2 people. I did end up throwing some of away because of the amount of food. The chicken was very dry and had no flavor. They provided some type of soup with the meal and good thing they did, i used it as a dipping sauce to re-hydrate the chicken. The bread was good, but it doesn't appear they make it in house. The fries were cooked to perfection so that's a plus, but they are just a frozen fry. Overall the restaurant was clean and service was good the food was sub-par. Probably be the only time I will eat there. read more

It's early in their time in Moorhead and they are hitting the ground running. The menu consists of nothing but combos: kabab, shawarma, rice, and some tossed veggies. You can add soup, but the platter is more than enough. I've had the chicken and the lamb so far and both are delicious. The meat is tender and juicy. Rice is fine, nothing special. There sure is a lot of rice. I will return, heck frequent the place. But I'll hope that they expand the offerings of sides. Even just a little bit of hummus. Or, if that stuff exists, a menu to more clearly define the options for customers (all of whom leave happy and satiated). Do yourself a favor, get down there now before everyone's in line. read more

Amazing food. Friendly people. Will be back for sure. I highly recommend if you're in the mood for something different.

You want a good kebab? You want delicious falafel? You want smooth and flavorful hummus? You want divine baklava? Newroz Kebab has you covered. This place is fantastic! went here and got a bunch of stuff and brought it home. Even our 3-year-old loved it (Do you know how picky toddlers are?!?) so I think it's safe to say this place passes all the tests. They made all of our food fresh after we ordered it (except the naan, but that would have added a lot of time to the process), and it was all so good! We will definitely be back! read more

OMG! The chicken kebab salad made my tastebuds SO HAPPY! The chunks of chicken were huge and juicy with a wonderful seasoning; the salad had a variety of unique thinly sliced vegetables; the chickpea soup was great also. The food was still hot when we ate it at home. I haven't tasted food this good for a long time. Very reasonably priced and huge portions. What a GREAT restaurant. read more

My wife and I tried this place last night. The restaurant was very clean and organized. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Now on to the food, it was delicious and fairly priced. I had the beef shawarma and my wife had the beef kebab and some kind of curry chicken. All the food was flavorful and very appetizing. The rice was seasoned well too, I wish I knew their secret. We will be going back soon! Note: the menu is very nice, they have pictures of the dishes so if you're not familiar with middle eastern cuisine you can get a visual of what you'll be getting. read more

Fantastic Bob place, run by a couple of guys really good customer service first. The lamb soup was delicious, I did add a little salt and pepper and I would say overall the food was under seasoned, but a little salt and pepper and you're fine. read more

I was in town on business and needed lunch and this was a great surprise! I tried both the chicken and lamb. I thought the lamb was terrific, as good as any I've had in Minnesota. Tender, not too spicy but enough. The chicken was delicious but could have been a bit more moist. The staff (maybe owner) was really wonderful, attentive. I will definitely go back the next time in Moorhead -- this was a find. read more

Very good -- it's fun to have a spice mix that is different than what I'm used to. Among us we had chicken lamb and rice -- all good and flavorful. Nice rice, good salad mix , chopped cucumbers, tomatoes and lettuce. Friendly staff and beautiful mural photographs of spectacular scenery in Kurdistan. read more

Had lunch here today and it was excellent. They have expanded their menu and there is something for everyone. The staff was friendly, helpful and courteous. The Shawarma sandwich was deliciously spiced and oh, so tasty. They served fries with it (probably to appeal to local tastes) and they were some of the best I've ever had. Clean, pleasant place to eat. read more
