They put a lot of effort into main the place feel complete, and it'd a comfortable place to eat. Had a taste for good Indian and Taj India does not disappoints. Had a taste for Chicken Tikka. But a decided to go with the recommendation of the waiter, something that has backfired on me before. He said the Taj Special Curry was his favorite. Boy was he right. This curry is delicious. Had it with rice; basmati of course. Very well done. Fragrant. Ordered a side of the basic naan. Fresh so it's definitely done on premises. The portion was fairly large and I had a hard time stopping to eat. I could have licked my plate. This is a very simple, humble restaurant. Nothing fancy. Clean. You have to order at the counter and they will bring it to your table. Prices are reasonable. My dish could have easily fed two. If you have never tried Indian food, this is a good place to start. More, you should give this guys a try. Indian cooking is one of the great seminal foods of the world. They had spices when the Roman's had only salt. Their flavors are old, robust, defined and Taj gets it simple and right. I will be back. read more

Excellent food! We had the Vegetable Pakora, Papadum , Chicken Jalfrezi (medium spice), the Chicken Mushroom Curry, (Medium) and Chicken Kashmiri (Mild+) - everything was so good. I love Indian Food and Taj does it right. Their lunch specials are very good, a little sample of everything and more than enough to satisfy. On my last visit, I picked up some Matter Paneer and it was great. The only thing I have had that I didn't love was the Gobi Manchurian (cauliflower in a tangy sauce). But generally, I appreciate that you can eat vegetarian and be completely satisfied. And they have a few staples for the kids, so it is a family friendly place to visit and the kids won't have to eat curry anything if they aren't ready for it! read more

My Kashmiri curry was amazing, the sweet mango flavor was delightful along with the paneer I chose to add. It had pretty standard portion sizes for an Indian food place, as in very large, i got another two meals out of the leftovers (though i'm somewhat petite). My sister's lunch platter was pretty good value, she got two curries, an appetizer, and dessert. A good choice for someone unfamiliar with Indian food looking to try some more familiar flavors. Service is done by just placing your order at the counter, your food is brought to you. It took an average amount of time to get the food, and hospitality was nothing special, but it didn't need to be. Decor was similarly somewhat simple and sparse, but certainly passable, and I don't go to places for the atmosphere anyway. read more

The setting and location make this a great spot to stop for lunch. It is clean and bright. The counter service was provided by the owner. Great smile and you can see how happy she is to have this nice restaurant. The lunch menu is a pick 2 main items, and all come with naan, pakora, and a dessert. The mango cake was delicious BTW. Everything was delicious. My only disappointment was the naan, it was crisp, and more resembling a cracker in texture. But that is a small complaint as the curry and everything else was so wonderful. My second visit to Taj India. My son took me and recommended what to have. I had the Tikka Misala with Med heat. I could easily have taken it hotter. Everything was perfect especially the Naan bread. My son also loved his as he has been several times. The manager came by a couple times checking on us. Very friendly. Will definitely return. read more
