Service was good; we were helped as soon as we walked in. The popper burger was amazing, and the pretzel and street shrimp basket were good as well. Beautiful view of the lake & loved the outdoor seating option. read more

Let's be honest- this is my go to place when I visit DL. The friendly service, the view, the vibe plus I enjoy the food. I started off with Cucumber breeze- hints of cucumber and lime ‍ song with gin. Perfect for 90 degree heat! I am a bit boring because I always order the Minisoba. Which I did again. It was excellent. I wish they had more vegan/vegetarian options, but such is life in Greater MN. read more

This was right next to our hotel so we tried bit for dinner. It was seat yourself and we sat outside on the patio. Waited a bit to be greeted but our server was friendly. I ordered the Juicy Lucette burger and while it was juicy it lacked any real flavor, probably because it came medium-well done. My wife had the Patty Melt which she enjoyed. It was a pleasant evening with a nice view of the lake however that comes with annoying flies especially down around your legs. All and all an OK dining experience but not a great one. read more

I've stopped here a few times when on business. Food is decent, service was good. I had the Chicken Philly this time. Everything was good. I wouldn't make this place a priority to come back to but wasn't disappointed either. read more

While visiting Detroit Lakes, Minnesota I decide to have lunch here. My choice was between this place and another tavern down the street. I liked that I didn't take long for a waitress to ask me if I was helped yet. I chose a table on the outside patio. I liked the vibe of this place, the location and the energy of the wait staff. After a waitress brought me something to drink and some menus, another waitress stopped by my table to ensure that someone waited on me already. I loved that! I ordered fish and chips. The fish was okay. I wasn't impressed with the quality of fish and felt that it was fried with too much oil. I enjoyed the fries. Overall, mediocre meal. I was more impressed with staff, the vibe of the place and the location. This location offers a beautiful view of the lake. This establishment also reminds me of a sports bar or pub you would find in Florida. Great job decorating the place! I never would've expected a place like this in Minnesota. Glad I stopped by. If I were to visit Detroit Lakes again, not sure if I would stop return here. I do recommend checking it out for the ambiance, location and friendly staff. read more

A great locals spot offering classic Americana pub food along with a few unique this MN You offerings. The service was excellent; friendly and accommodating. Inside and outside "seat yourself" pub style casual layout. The only thing I didn't care for was the temperature of the food. The cheddar soup (which was delicious) would have been better had been hotter. We actually sent the Brussel spout appetizer back to be reheated and sadly it came out not significantly warmer. read more

Was in town to visit my son. Enjoyed some March Madness with my bartender and server, Jackson. Excellent service and the food was very good. The Asian noodle bowl and the chicken. Strips were good. Great laid-back atmosphere, family friendly. read more

The juicy lucette should be renamed. There should be some juice running down your chin to call it juicy anything. There was no juice. Dry as sawdust. The only thing worth eating was the bun. The fries had so much salt you had to shake it off. The place had flies everywhere including on our food and on our legs. It was so loud, you couldn't hear yourself think. Not going back. read more

Always a good time and good food! Service is always great and the staff is fun and attentive.

Great service and atmosphere across from Detroit Lake! The food was tasty, what you'd expect from a local touristy spot. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped me pick a beer I really enjoyed. read more

The food was delicious! Honestly, I did not know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. We got the shrimp bucket and pulled pork tater tots. The location was prime too; right by the water! Service was quick and efficient, and the ambiance was relaxing! read more

This is only a review based on their ice cream, I have not eaten here before. Their ice cream is so good, it's always rich a creamy and there are interesting flavors. They rotate between different flavors so don't expect there to be the same flavors every time you go. Overall, it's a great spot to get ice cream read more

Hub 41 you let me down tonight. I will NEVER BE BACK.EVER!! EVER! Took my two teenage boys there for dinner tonight -Sunday. Took 15 min for someone to come to our table. Asked what specials they had tonight ( Sunday) and was told it's $1 wing night ( no mention of the burger and fries special). We all ordered wings but were then told they were sold out of bone in and would boneless be ok. We agreed after we were told they were sold out of the Ruben Rolls and then sold out of Totchos. WTH? That we wanted to order additionally. Bill comes and we are charged for boneless wings $11/ order vs $6 and $0.75/ order for Ranch for each person that we didn't ask for or use. I confronted my server Madi( that's what it says on my receipt) and she said all she could do is take 10% off. OMG. I'm irate. So tired of being taking advantage of. Ruined my night. A night that should have cost me $30 was more than double. read more

their service is great! the gyro and the brussels sprouts are my favorite. definitely try the crown cranberry mule (??)

The local holdout of a town in need of an independent influence! Holds a much needed happy hour and is the first bar/ food spot, with character in the lake strip. Bar staff is attentive and appreciative. Music is a vibe, patrons are diverse. Don't waste your time elsewhere, drop in! read more

Was in town for work and visited hub 41 multiple times. Good "locals" type bar. Service and food were always good.

The service was pretty good. I got the Sub 41, and was one of the worst sandwiches I have ever had. The guy asked me half way through, I told him, but there was no reason to get something else at that point. The fries were great, lol. I'm sure they have good food, but I would never recommend this sandwich. read more

This was my first time trying out Hub 41 and I was extremely impressed! Service was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable! Establishment had indoor seating as well as a patio seating with a perfect lake view! Family friendly as well as a great place to enjoy afternoon cocktails and lunch with the girls! Highly recommend the Dragonfruit Mojito one of their specialty drinks! Can't wait to stop in again! read more

Great location on the beach, with nice outdoor seating. Very good and interesting menu, rather than the everyday pub fare. Have always had good service, but we think Amber is the best wait staff in Detroit Lakes. She always makes an extra effort to be helpful, caring and friendly. read more

Was staying in area while working down the road. Received a 10% discount because staying in hotel next door. Presently surprised. Having never experienced walleye before. Decided to give it a try. Dinner came out quickly. The fish and chips were delicious. Will defiantly do it again. This place in the summer would be AWSOME because of the view and openness. It was not crowded and a Monday evening. The prices are reasonable and they have a ok beer selection. I would, will try it again! read more

I have celiac disease, so I need to eat a gluten-free diet. Not everything was gluten-free, but I really appreciated that the staff knew what was gluten-free and what wasn't. I ordered the Irishman Burger, but the server came back and informed me that the corned beef was cooked in beer so it wouldn't be gluten-free. No problem, I ordered the Juicy Lucette. It was very good. I appreciated that they were aware that it wasn't gluten-free and that they came back and informed me. I'll stop in again when I need lunch in the area. read more

Mreh. That is the general consensus among the friends and co-workers who have been to the Hub41. I have to agree with them. Stopped by, with some family for lunch, on the day before Thanksgiving. Place was busy with the afternoon crowd in for lunch. Finding a table was not a problem. Staff were friendly and attentive. The four of us chose a variety a items off the menu, and food arrived quickly. We shared an order of Scotch eggs that were pretty decent. That's about it. The gyros seemed to be lacking something. The meat seemed to be a little on the tougher side, as did the pita bread. The fries served with the gyros felt soggy. The Minnesoba salad was OK. One of us also ordered some beer.. and that did not turn out good either. Kinda flat. Yup. The selling point here is the ambiance and the proximity to the lake. Not to mention patio dining is currently very popular in the Fargo area. Probably great place to hangout in the summer and knock back a few (flat) beers. In the coming week, I have a social event to attend and the host chose Hub41 as the venue. Guess I'll have to wait and see if things turn out better. For now my rating stands. read more

Another lake place featuring sub quality bar food. Eh. Nothing impressive, basically food that seems ok to the non foodies up here. Keep 'em drunk and they'll never know they difference.... read more

This new restaurant next to a new Marriott Hotel is DL's latest hot spot. And for good reason. The view of the lake is terrific. The menu is interesting and varied. And, best of all, the food is really good. It was a warm summer evening, so we sat outside on the upper deck, which made it easier to see the water and kept us separated from the din of the downstairs dining area. Try the Mufelleta sandwich or the Fish and Chips. Both are very good. A Greek salad had a bit too much taziki for our taste, but was quite delicious. read more

They never seem to pick up the phone they've lost a lot of business from me because of that, trying to order out cause I like their food.

awesome place. delicious food. comes out quick and hit. my favorite server was Madi, unfortunately she returned back to school. Jackson the bartender was awesome. if you are a jalapeño lover like I am, you have to try their poppers. Best I have had away from home. They also have a popper burger where they put the concoction on a burger. absolutely loved it. outdoor seating available. has a dual side bar for outdoor as well as indoor. lots of different activities throughout the week. Overall a very nice place to dine. out of towners welcomed. very friendly atmosphere. read more

We (party of 2) were in town and this place was willing to feed us with their kitchen only open 20 more minutes. They really encouraged us to stay when we tried to turn around and leave. We had a couple great salads & wings, a couple rounds of beer. It hit the spot, and they were just really great. Exceptional customer service when we really needed some general human kindness after a long day was the best part for sure. read more

Overall this was a fine place to dine. Good atmosphere decent service. But the place is so damn small. They do have an upstairs area but it was closed off for whatever reason so all that was available was the seating inside which basically consisted of 12 tables/booths and their outside seating area. Well it's the end of September and 55 degrees outside. No one is going to be that inclined to sit outside. My wife and I arrived early enough to get a table right away only to be surrounded by a family of 10 who began rearranging tables and chairs so that they could basically sit on top of us the remainder of the time we were there and shoot us dirty looks because we wouldnt move our table to accommodate all of them. The food was decent considering we ordered fish and chips and the Asian walleye noodle bowl. The noodle bowl was listed as a spicey pork broth but it was just salty. The fish batter for the fish and chips was good and crunchy but very bland. Fresh fish which was a plus. Overall, we would eat there again at some point but was not worth dishes such as ours being listed at almost $20 each. Disappointed in the prices. read more

I imagine in the summer, the outdoor seating is very nice. This is a very small restaurant. It was so loud, just not relaxing. Husband's burger was good. Way too many fries. The sauce on my pulled pork tots was sooo sweet, had to add mustard and black pepper to make it palatable. The next day I added some salsa for breakfast. Would try it again. read more

At one point I would have given this place 5 stars. I was here for them with COVID. Spent a LOT , of money there. There happy hour USED to be top notch. Slowly going downhill! Apps used to be half price. Now out of 12 apps only 4 are half price. Bone in wings 17$ a dozen!‍ owning a restaurant. I know that wings have gone back down to pre COVID cost. So highway robbery. Drink prices still ok . My frequency coming here is gonna go down hill too read more

We really wanted to like this place! However, we came as a party of 5 on a Monday night and had to wait over an hour for our food. It wasn't very busy, but we only saw our server for our order and when our food came. We had to go to the bar to get more water and condiments. Part of our food was missing but couldn't tell our server because she never came to our table. Was disappointed with the portions of the Asian noodle bowl, considering it was $18. Plus, they charge you for using a credit card. We were disappointed with this restaurant. The location is great, but service and food was a really big disappointment. read more
