This is an amazing place!! We stumbled upon it last year and LOVE eating there whenever we can! The staff is always friendly and they let you know things are made to order - which can take time - but the food is WORTH IT. The restaurant has plenty of seating and there's free water or a variety of drinks in the cooler to purchase. I wish we lived closer! This would be a daily spot for us. read more

I am in Fargo for work. This place is amazing. The portions are crazy. The owner is passionate about the food he cooks for customets. Fargo, you are lucky to have this place. Please support this business. All of the food in the picture cost $38.26. Easily 3 meals. The picture was taken after I ate and I still had all that food left. read more

GP’s Greek Kitchen - GP'S Gyro on Pita - Greek Near Me - Fargo, North Dakota

WOW.....the only thing more impressive than the food here is the owner. Such a nice guy. I was starving when I came in here and couldn't decide what to get so I'll admit that I ordered WAP too much food. He tried to talk me out of it, but I couldn't resist - everything sounded so good. And it all was. Wow. I made two trips here the first week I found the place and have made numerous trips since - everything is incredible. The Gyro platter is still my favorite, but you've GOT to try the Greek Keftedes - amazing! read more

I'll definitely be back! The service was excellent, the food was fresh and delicious, and the portions were huge, well worth the price. We had the salad and traditional gyros, plus a sample of the soup of the day, which was full of flavor. The servings were so generous we took half home, and everything was made fresh, so while it's not the fastest stop, it's absolutely worth the wait. read more

Will definitely be back. The service was fantastic, food was delicious, and amount of food is well worth the price. We ordered salad and traditional gyros. They were sampling the soup of the day so we were able to try that also, it was flavorful and delicious. We went home with half the food because the servings are so large, could easily share. They make the food fresh so don't expect a quick in and out, but it is worth the wait! read more

Best and biggest Gyros in town! When I say the hospitality was great it's an understatement. As soon as we walked the staff made us feel very welcome! My wife and I got the Meat Lovers & Athenian Gyros, and a large fry to share. The amount of food you get is insane, the meat was literally falling out of the pita. Great portions! While we were waiting for our food they brought out a bowl of delicious soup. We have leftovers for a couple days and will definitely be back :) read more

How could this place not get 5 stars? Food is made from scratch. It's absolutely delicious and you get so much of it! The owner and cook was amazing. I understood I had to wait a bit and it was worth every second. He told me this would be the highlight of my 21 day road trip and he wasn't kidding. We were able to save some for the next day for a perfect picnic at a rest stop. We ordered the gyros plate, which is what everyone recommended on Yelp. The Greek salad was taking to another level which will be hard to match anywhere else. The stuffed grapes were absolutely delicious. If you are passing through town this is definitely a stop you can't miss! read more

Do not come here if you want fast food. This isn't Burger King or McDonald's. This is a mom and pop shop that has excellent quality food with huge portions. Their food does not sit under a heat lamp or steamer getting dried out and tasteless. The food is made by George, a man who cooks better than your mama. The food is full of flavor. You can taste the fresh high quality ingredients. I dare you to try and make this at home. For those complaining about price, have you been to the grocery store lately? Some helpful tips for you. 1. You will probably have to wait. Sit down, shut up and deal with it. Or better yet, visit with George and his beautiful wife and tell them how much we appreciate having this establishment in our community. 2. Order well in advance so these two hardworking people aren't overwhelmed. 3. If you don't have time to wait, go somewhere else. Enjoy your premade burger and soggy fries. Go to your chain restaurant and have the same old same old. I'm pretty sure they have plenty of loyal customers waiting to take your place. I love this place! I have travelled around the world looking for better Greek food and have yet to find it! read more

Very friendly staff and super delicious food! I wish I had known about it sooner! Generous portions--since we had sides, I ended up taking over half my gyro home to enjoy later. Everything was freshly prepared and very tasty, if a little salty I do not prefer the puffy beer-battered onion rings (prefer flaky, crunchy outside); though they had great seasoning and I enjoyed them that visit as a splurge with my friend, I would not order again and will try some other sides next time. Beef and lamb Gyros in pita were so good-- looking forward to trying the chicken and served in a bowl (As a Greek salad). Homemade tzatziki sauce is wonderful and I ordered extra to take home! read more

Why the big pile of napkins with this gyro? Because you will need them stuff this thing in your face. Look at the picture, this thing is LOADED! So good, great meat, lots of veggies, a side tub of extra tzatziki, what else do you want? Fries? The fries are great too, golden brown, crisp, warm and seasoned. Whatever you do, just eat here. Family owned business that loves first time visitors. They're super helpful if you're not sure what to order, but I would suggest the gyro platter or a beef/lamb gyro. We didn't love the chicken, but the beef melts in your mouth. Tzatziki sauce is to die for, their French fries are amazing, Greek salad is killer, canned soda which is an automatic plus for me. Whatever you do, GP's is a must. read more

Stopped while passing through Fargo. What a gem! We were hungry for salads after 2 days of highway fast food. We had Greek salads with grilled chicken. The salads were fresh with delicious, authentic feta cheese. The chicken was well seasoned and the pita with tzatziki was lovely. The tzatziki was so creamy! A word of caution - the portions are huge! One large salad would have fed us both. The only complaint was the tomatoes wedges on the salad - a bit plastic tasting but they are not in season. Some grape tomatoes would have been better. I highly recommend this restaurant and if I am ever in Fargo again I will come back to try some of their Greek specialities. read more

Best gyro I've ever had in my life!! :) Got the GP's OG gyro with lamb and beef and oh my goodness, such big portion and so fresh and good. Grape leaves were also incredible. Very friendly and helpful service, 11/10 - I don't write reviews often but had to for these guys. Also very clean, and nice bathrooms! read more

This place always delivers great food, huge portions at a great price. Last night we didn't want to cook and decided on two simple Gyro's and a side of fries to share (it's perhaps a bit odd to get fries at a Greek restaurant- but there's are some of the best in town. A single order is sufficient for four people to share!) We've ordered here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Check them out, enjoy, and tell your friends. I've added a photo of the Gyro (I like mine without tomatoes) - it's huge and priced at $12.50 - it's two meals really. The pita is super soft, the veggies fresh and the meat delicious! read more

The food is fresh and plentiful (pricey but reasonable, given the huge amount) but the wait is crazy long. I mean crazy, crazy long. There isn't enough seating in the pleasant, tiled dining room. We ordered from the counter at noon and waited 80 minutes for our food. That's not an exaggeration. Stood waiting until a two person couch perpendicular to the counter opened up. Crazy. One steadfast but exhausted cook, probably the owner. One avuncular window cashier who's also the waitress, maybe the co-owner. The wait is a real problem, especially since when we ordered she didn't warn us. I can't give five stars when we weren't warned about the wait. Crazy. Try their huge gyro bowl but call ahead to order at least an hour before you arrive; if you show up without ordering ahead, bring a good novel to read and also your patience. read more

Absolutely loved this place. Didn't go inside so can't speak on atmosphere or cleanliness but one of the best gyros I've ever had and it was MASSIVE! They piled this thing up with meat to the point where you couldn't even roll it up without eating a bit of it first. With how skimpy so many places are with their meats this was a nice surprise. I love spicy food and the spicy gyro had just a little bit of kick to it! We will definitely be going back there. Our food came out pretty quickly as well! read more

AMAZING food & generous portions. One of the BEST Gyros I've ever had & the soups was something I will crave! Will definitely be back!!

I don't understand why GPs wasn't on Diners Drive-ins and Dives. I've lived in the area for close to 20 years and GPs consistently has the most delicious food, and the most generous portions of any restaurant in the area. I still get butterflies when I pick up my food so I highly recommend everyone try their gyros at least once. read more
