The job was finished in less than the anticipated time frame they gave us. I am very pleased with the outcome. I've had absolutely no problems with the finished work, their service, or any other aspect of the entire process. I would definitely recommend them to my closest and dearest friend or family member. We met with several companies to get quotes, and a few others did have lower prices (although the windows were manufactured in China). However, Newman Windows (and representative Mark) inspired the most confidence. He didn't use any strange sale tactics. He even let us know about the egress requirements (so firefighters can reach you in an emergency) and helped us work with our HOA to make an unusual window size request. The company was consistently reachable by phone and showed up on schedule to put the windows in. A year later, we still had no problems. We LOVED the sound blocking and energy efficiency of our new windows. Would definitely work with them again. read more

From my first contact with Janine in the office, then Mark the salesman, and today, Mike the installer, everything was perfect. Everybody was cool, smart & punctual. I could not recommend this company after my experience. I have been looking for either sliding or folding doors for the back of my house. I also need to replace all the rest of the windows in my house. I have priced them retail directly with Ganahl lumber, but have been frustrated with trying to find someone to install them from beginning to end. I did not want to go with one person to do any framing, another to install concrete footings for the large opening folding doors, and another person to do Drywall and Stucco repair. I explained this to the phone representative when I called to schedule a quote. I wanted a one stop quote for the whole job. It took two weeks to get someone out to even estimate my job, but when I explained what was needed, the representative was rude and said they would not do any footings, even though they are licensed general contractors, and didn't really want to do the header beam installation. He made it very clear he did not like the fact that I had already priced out the windows retail by myself in advance. He basically said that I would not be interested in their price if I had already gotten a price from Ganahl. It blows me away that the fact that I had already priced out a 15K door retail and he did not think he could put together a reasonable bid to do all the construction work necessary for installation where they could make enough profit. He said Ganahl only builds in a 10- 15% markup so they could not come close. 15% of 15K for one door system is still $2250 in markup, plus all the construction and installation charges I was asking him to bid and he arrogantly said you wont be interested in my price. To me this is a HUGE red flag to anyone looking to get a quote from them. Maybe they do great work, but unfortunately I will never get to that point. I would highly recommend to anyone else looking for a quote from Newman Windows that you at least get a retail quote from any other provider for the product you choose, just so you know where you stand. Oh, and on top of everything else, without me even knowing he opened one of my windows while measuring, that had a stick in it and left it open. I have an indoor cat that escaped into my yard where Coyotes frequent. Fortunately we found the cat outside later in the day before anything bad happened to him. read more

I just left Newman Windows & Doors on Via Fabricante in Mission Viejo, Ca. I have to say that I am seriously impressed with the service that they provided. I have been trying to find a part for my Milgard window for almost 5 weeks now. I have been dealing with Home Depot this whole time, and they were not able to solve the problem. I also contacted Milgard for the product, but they said they won't deal with a retail item. I called Newman Windows&Doors and they were happy to help. I walked in and the service representative Rochelle was able to troubleshoot my problem and resolve it within about 5 min. I will be sure to send all my business to them from now on. We just had a French Door installed last week to replace a slider. I could not be happier with it!! Our door was a bit complicated due to patio cover and kitchen floor but the installers were great and it's perfect. I highly recommend Newman Windows & Doors. After purchasing 17 new windows and one sliding door back in 2015, we decided to order another six windows in March of 2016 (Mark was our sales representative on both orders). After receiving the quote for the six windows, we decided to order five...the sixth window was $1,395 due to the size and shape of the window. Since we had other house projects in the works we decided to hold off on the sixth window and put that money into other projects. Approximately three weeks after the installation of the five windows we decided to go ahead and purchase that sixth window at the estimated price of $1,395. I placed a call to our sales representative Mark, but we didn't hear back from him as quickly as before when we wanted to place an order. After a few days I heard from Mark and told him we would like to move forward on window number six that he had already estimated. Mark sent over a new contract with the price of $1,400. I know it sounds a bit ridiculous because it's only $5, but I was annoyed that he quoted more than the original price. I called him to ask about this and was told that normally they don't place orders for just one window!! I was shocked. I asked him if this was the case after spending over $17,000 in the last year and he said yes. I'm speechless that Newman Windows doesn't want my business anymore. Mark asked me if I had more windows to order and I explained that by the end of the year we wanted to finish the house and had 13 windows remaining. He said he would make up the $5 difference on my next big order. No thanks! I decided to take my business elsewhere. read more

I called Newman Windows for quotes on two large sliding patio doors, which needed to match other windows and doors previously done in my home. My needs were pretty straightforward but a series of complications and miscommunication (or NO communication) caused much stress and unnecessary anxiety for me. A couple different sales people were involved, which delayed things, and install dates kept changing with very short notice. The evening before install, I received a phone call delaying the date...again!!! That was the last straw...I had to cancel a special event at my home that weekend because all my window treatments were removed and furniture covered, in anticipation of the new doors being installed. I was furious and was ready to start over with another window company. After exploding to the office manager, they apologized and offered me $200 credit on the $6,000.00 job. (I spent much more than that preparing for the party we had to cancel and move to a restaurant) A few days later Peter and two other installers did the work, and I'm sure they were warned ahead of time about how unhappy I was with their company. They really turned it around for me. They were very nice, respectful and professional. They were clean, careful with my carpet and other furnishings and a really wonderful representation of the company. They did a great job and we love the new doors. If all the sales and scheduling problems would not have occurred, I would have absolutely rated them with 5 stars. (Maybe sales and office staff should take some lessons from the installers). A very unfortunate and disappointing set of circumstances in the beginning, but hopefully that is not the norm for this company. Newman replaced about 12 windows in my son's house in Laguna Niguel. They showed up on time and finished on time. They were pleasant and efficient and cleaned up when finished. I bought 4 replacement windows in January 2016. I was very happy with the installation and the updated configuration of the windows. Mark, the salesman, was efficient and helpful. Jeanine, the customer service contact was on top of the process! The installation went smoothly. With the rains this year, I had to call to see if my leaks were related to the windows. Leaks are difficult to troubleshoot. I had 2 service techs out to assess the windows. The Milgard service tech was the second one to come out and was to fix the windows - appeared to be a sealing and causing issue. He found nothing wrong and said he would recommend another tech come out and do a water test. Nothing was resolved. I called Jeanine to express my frustration. The next day she called and said the installation manager, Otis, would come out and look at the windows. Otis came out this week and was genuinely interested in solving the mystery of what caused the leaks. He water tested 2 windows which resolved the questions. Jeanine and Otis are great resources! Customer oriented and interested in solving problems. I will use Newman for any future window needs. read more

After comparing different companies, we decided to have Newman Windows replace our windows. My wife's sister had used them and was very pleased with the price and the results. Of the other companies from whom we received quotes, the salesman of one was dishonest (we caught him in several lies), so we immediately eliminated him. We found the sales representative from Newman, Mark Hall, to be honest, congenial, and easy to work with. The windows were delivered when expected, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was necessary for my wife and me (this is the proper pronoun for the object; "I" is the subject) to delay the installation. Understanding our situation, Newman worked with us to reschedule the installation date. Since the new installation date was going to fall outside of Milguard's (the manufacturer) time limit for the return of defective windows, Newman sent two of their installers to inspect all of the windows. On the scheduled installation date the installers arrived on time. For the next two days they worked diligently with great care and professionalism, completing the installation as planned. As with Mark, we found all three of them, Blaine, Peter, and Troy, to be extremely pleasant and very sensitive to our needs. The quality of the windows and of the installation are both exceptional. We are now enjoying our new windows thanks to everyone at Newman. read more
