Been to this new eatery twice--once during their soft opening and again last night. The first visit I had Newk's Salad which was very good. The pieces of chicken were juicy and the salad crisp. But last night I ordered the chicken salad and was mildly disappointed. It's white meat chicken chunks with mayo and cut up grapes. That was excellent. But the lettuce surrounding the chicken was limp. The croutons looked like they were thrown into a pile at the last moment. Lastly, I had a coupon in my email for a free slice of cake but the cashier refused to take the coupon. No dessert for me. read more

I had the turkey avocado sandwich which was warm and toasty and creamy. Overall, a good sandwich with a side of pulled pork corn chowder which was not ok heavy for a chowder with shreds of pulled pork and roasted corn. I love corn so I enjoyed it! Boyfriend had a shrimp po-boy with a side of creamy tomato basil soup, which he enjoyed as well with the roasted garlic and pickle sides. Nice quick place for lunch whether you're craving for a sandwich, salad, soup or pizza. They have a layered lemon cake that looks yummy but didn't get a chance to try it this time around! read more

Great salad/sandwich place. Food tasted fresh. A decent variety of flavor combinations that could easily cater to most palates. The sandwich and soup combo is a great portion size if you dont want to feel too heavy. Convenient, quick, clean. Always closing early with no notice or sign for customers. The cashier who usually works the front isn't nice at all.

We placed an order and they had us on the phone for 10 minutes. When we got over there, the food was not even ready. The lady at the front let 3 other customers that walked in get their food before me. And mind you, I placed my order 20 minutes before I got there. Awesome eatery here! Everything looks so delicious on the menu that it was hard to make a choice... I ultimately decided on the white barbecue shrimp sandwich with the lobster bisque. The bisque was hot and flavorful. The sandwich was also delicious and had ample sauce on it. My son had the sausage and pepperoni pizza and I gave that a B+. They also had a really convenient to go station with all of the fixings that she would put on a pizza or whatever you ordered. A nice touch. Would definitely return. read more

Just ordered from them via Door Dash. Had never heard of them. The sandwich, soup AND salad were crazy good. I could drink the sherry vinaigrette dressing . Newk's I'm extremely unhappy. I stopped by today after work and a very nice gentleman took my to go order which was the salmon ceaser salad. I get home ready to dig in and the salmon is dry and over cooked. Newk's this is unacceptable. Please inform your cook that every order needs to come out RIGHT or not at all. I have visited several Newk's and really have not been too impressed with the chain lately in general. On a positive note, our experience at this location included friendly and fast service and the restaurant itself is clean, bright, and has a nice decor. I ordered the Newk's Q, which I really enjoyed at a previous location with the white BBQ sauce, but this sandwich was disappointing. The chicken was dried out and the bacon undercooked and I could not really detect the cheese or sauce so I requested extra sauce on the side. Unfortunately it did not help the sandwich. I also tried the soup, the Mississippi black eye soup which had a hint of a gumbo spice but otherwise lacked any real substance. My lunch companions had the Italian, which they liked a lot and it looked like a hearty sandwich piled high with meats, but not much in the way of other toppings. The salad was huge and appeared to be good but overall we were all felt lunch was just okay. read more

Second visit here first visit during soft opening of course service was excellent l, food was good ...second visit food is still pretty good. But this time the customer service was horrible you're not greeting when you walked in cold stares mean-muggin don't know the menu argumentative, both cashiers ...had to have management come to the table so I could make a complaint this food is a lot more expensive than Chick-fil-A but Chick-fil-A has great customer service their customer service from their young people is impeccable... these young people act like we were bothering them , the customer service should match the quality of the food. I would come back to a different location though. read more

Wow! I guess I'm the first to review the new Newk's. We have been a couple of times already and we were thrilled to find it as impressive (if not more) than the others we frequent. We are so incredibly excited to have this establishment join other new shops and restaurants in Tucker. The service is superb and the food is fresh and well prepared. The patio is the nicest of any location and lends itself to an extended visit with family or friends. I learned before they opened that they were franchised by the same folks that do the Druid Hills location and that was promising in itself. I find the staff at that location the most friendly and accommodating and this one seems equally so. Whoever is training the staff is really doing a fantastic job too. Welcome to Tucker Newk's! Bad first experience. For starters, the young lady that took my order was very unfriendly; didn't speak to me and it seemed like I was bothering her. No southern hospitality! This location has literally tried to send me to the hospital 3 times! I have a severe dairy intolerance and less severe allergy and I'm extra careful with ordering food without dairy products. First mistake was made with my online order of Cobb salad with NO blue cheese. When I picked up my order, it had cheese. Thankfully I caught it before leaving the parking lot. Only thing I received from the cashier was an apology. Next time, I ordered the same Cobb salad with honey mustard dressing, this time I receive ranch dressing. I discovered the issue after returning to my job so I had to go back, get the correct non-dairy option and eat my lunch at my desk. Again, only an apology. Third and last time today, I dined in with a co-worker and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with no cheese. We had two different tickets and table numbers. I've never ordered this so I was unaware of what it would look like. I took a bite of the sandwich and immediately tasted cheese...the kitchen decided to give me my coworker's sandwich that had both pesto and goat cheese. I immediately spit it into my napkin but the damage has been done to my GI tract since the goat cheese literally coated my mouth. At this point, I ask to speak with the manager, she comes over and first tries to place blame on me saying the server told us the sandwiches when he brought them to the table. Actually he didn't, he stated the soups we ordered. My correct soup was given to me with the wrong sandwich. Then she apologizes, offers her number for me to call if I get sick and offers to remake the sandwich. What?! Are you a doctor?! Why am I calling you? I had to ask for my meal to be reimbursed which she then only offered a complimentary meal on my next visit. Really?! I won't be back! I'm done. After literally trying up kill me 3 times, I've finally gotten the message. Don't go to this location if you actually care to get what you paid and ordered for and please avoid if you have a food allergy. You may not survive. I adore the Farmers market sandwich with a bowl of soup. Fare includes salads, soups, small pizzas, for anyone not familiar. This location will grow into five stars, its new it has some legs to gain. I don't understand the poor reviews for this location as my wife and I have walked to this location more than 5 times and every time the service was very friendly and fast, the food was exactly what we ordered and the restaurant was clean. The manager usually stops by our table at least once to ask how our meal is going too. I appreciate the help yourself bar of goodies. My go too is usually a bowl of the loaded baked potato and a half of sandwich (Newk's Q most of the time). My wife loves how big and fresh their salads are! We will always keep this place in mind and give their our future business as we think it has been a great addition to the community. read more

Just tried the pesto chicken sandwich on a croissant and it was fab-u-lous. So tasty. The sliced bell peppers added a fresh crunch. Everything on the sandwich was balanced beautifully; so the goat cheese didn't dominate the sliced chicken. The pop of pesto was amazing. I don't like dry sandwiches so I thought I'd have to add something to it but I'm so glad I didn't. This sandwich is perfect as prepared. I will definitely order this again. ****CLOSES at 9:00 PM**** The website and Yelp is wrong so take note. Newk's is my favorite "fast food chain" right now. Salads are fresh and pizza, soups and sandwiches are really good. This location closes at 9:00 PM Mon-Sun and I've been turned away at that time. It also clearly says 9 on the window. I find this location in Tucker to have slower and less friendly servers than the Dunwoody location. The Splenda sweetened tea is also not as sweet as I'm used to. I hope this new location will improve as it gets settled. read more

Ok. I could not wait for this location to open and I have visited at least 10 times since the past summer! My fave was the 'Black & Blue' Salad...basically a huge steak salad. I have tried the soups...corn and crab is my fave...I love the turkey and avocado sandwhich. I purchased the 'Newk Favorite' salad with chicken, pecans, grapes etc., I love the huge salads and I have yet to try them all. I always order my salad to go even if I am eating in because their salads look hella nasty tossed!!! Order salads ''ready to go' so you can mix and add dressing to your taste, plus the salad looks more appealing that way. I did not like the first batch of employees the first months of this Newk's opening, but the new gals are much more enthusiastic about working there. The sandwhiches are small for the price, but the salads outscore all fast food...to go restaurant salads. The pizzas are tiny, yet this place rocks if you want fresh veggies and not greasy fries, chicken and awful hamburgers full of filler. read more

We have been to this restaurant over a dozen times in the last 12 months and this is my first review. I am giving it 2 stars, not because is bad but because its lack of consistency in the food. Service is always good, the place is really clean, food is served without delay. What is the problem? Last time we were there, I ordered a half sandwich, a roast beef and tomato soup. The sandwich had two small slices of beef and I could not taste the horseradish sauce. Soup was fine as usual. I have ordered this sandwich many times and sometimes the sandwich has the right amount of meat and half of the time I am only eating bread. I am assuming this is a franchise, consistency should be a no brainer. Food is good, just not consistent. We are going to start considering going to other sandwich places next time. read more
